FULL MOON (SUPERMOON) IN TAURUS

The Full Moon is in Taurus today, November 14, 2016.  This moon is a Supermoon and is the closest it has been to earth for approximately 69 years.

As many of you are aware, the Full Moon is a culmination of the work you have done during the New Moon cycle.  It is the harvest of your efforts and this particular Moon speaks in terms of working diligently without fear of failure.  Its energies help you to work towards a goal that not only satisfies your ambitions but also adds structure to your life.

Taurus is a builder of foundations and its energies are focused on working towards securing a future that will stand the test of time.  This could be released in the material world through efforts towards building a business or working in the direction of adding something worthwhile to an already structured business.  These energies may assist you towards a retirement plan which is now ready to be implemented.  You could decide to buy a new more reliable car but will want to research various companies or manufacturers before you decide on which car to purchase.

TRANSITING PLUTO SEMI-SEXTILE TRANSITING SATURN

Transiting Pluto semi-sextile transiting Saturn, although considered a minor aspect, will be significant (particularly during the November, 2016) especially if you have other planets in the 14 - 17degree area of any sign.  The more you have within these degrees, the greater the influence in your life.  Semi-sextiles are considered a minor aspect and suggest opportunities coming your way.  Either they fall into your lap or the energies are ripe for activation and you can make something happen.

If you have other planets making aspect especially by trine or sextile, these energies can work very favourably for you now.  You should however make an effort to make things happen so you do not miss the opportunity.  If you have other planets making a square or opposition to one of these planets then the energies will not work as well and in some cases it will take outside influences to make things happen for you.

Semi-sextiles, as mentioned, are opportunity aspects and being in the right place at the right time is what they suggest.  Keep your eyes open for opportunities to make things happen.  If, for example, these two transits are in the ninth and tenth houses, look for opportunities in the area of your occupation.   There might be opportunities for transfer to a different location or even an opportunity from a destination much further away from where you work now.  It might involve foreign culture or a chance for higher learning, perhaps continued education so that you can use the schooling to further your career down the road. 

Litigation may go your way and things may settle more in your favour, or a judgement might favour you because you happened to have a court day during this time period.  Luck and opportunities sometimes go hand in hand.

Saturn and Pluto together suggest that you are able to uncover any of life’s challenges and although you may feel as though you are being tested, you are actually gaining inner strength that can be used at a later date.  Watch for pushing yourself too hard during this time as you may feel the need for active involvement in specific areas of life but at the same time feel that your energy is restricted.  It is a push and pull situation although you can uncover much during this time frame. 

You may find that you are able to work harder than you have for many years and although it will be important to take periodic rests, the opportunity for advancement especially in the area of the work you do has greater chance for success.  You can make great strides in achievement at this time as long as you use your energies appropriately.

This is an opportunity aspect so make sure you take advantage of these energies.  See where it takes you on your quest to attain knowledge, gain insight and further yourself on many levels.  The timing is ripe.

GO BY YOUR INSTINCTS

Many of us could connect more to our instincts on a more advanced level and maybe call this our intuitive understanding or our intuitive insight.  Primal instinct is something that is born into all of us but can certainly be further developed through experience.  Intuition, it would seem, is something that develops over time.  It is one of those things that can be relied on and stays with us as we develop.  It actually becomes more powerful over time as we truly awaken and it becomes part of our everyday life, even our automatic function.

We understand the meaning of “feeling our way through” things and can depend on what we feel when in the company of others.  We might feel as though someone cannot be trusted even though we have never met this individual before.  It is a feeling or an internal dialogue that is shared between people.  Some individuals also have profound visions which are a part of their intuitive gift, knowing instinctively not to walk down that road, not to get in their car, or not to pursue that business deal.

There are many forms of intuitive knowledge and an innate understanding of what is taking place in our world.  We may know, for example, who feels right to vote for (a very “fresh” topic), who can be relied on, who is trustworthy and who is not. 

We can pick up on honesty and sincerity.  We can even know when someone is fake or untrue to whom and what they are attempting to portray.  Intuition becomes strong over time.  The more we use a muscle, the strong it becomes.  At some point, is it possible to make contact with another people on a completely different level of communication?

Most of us realize that we can rely on our intuition.  If, however, we feel negativity coming at us from all sides, we undoubtedly are experience ego.  This is a battle that must be won, if intuition is going to prevail.  Ego is ego and imagination is imagination.  As you learn to differentiate between what is imagination and what is truth, which will happen over time, we learn to make sense of it all.

SCORPIO DECANATES

Each Astrological sign can be divided into three sections.  These sections are known as decanates or decans .  Each decan consists of ten degrees--the first decan would be from 0 to 9 degrees 59 minutes, the second would be from 10 degrees to 19 degrees 59 minutes, and the third would be from 20 degrees to 29 degree 59minutes.  They are always within the same “element” (water, air, fire or earth) that the Sun sign is in.  For example, 23 degrees Scorpio would be in the third decan and would therefore align with Pisces.  The first decan is always the same as the Sun sign which in this case would be Scorpio, the second would be Cancer and the final one would be Pisces. 

We also have to look at the ruling planet of each decan.  Again using the same Sun sign, the first decan would be Pluto, the second would be the Moon and the third would be Neptune.  If you are born within the first ten degrees of Scorpio, you are a double Scorpio ruled by Pluto.  If you are born with the second ten degrees of Scorpio, you would be a Scorpio with Cancer tendencies and are ruled by Pluto and the Moon.  If you are born with the third ten degrees of Scorpio, you would be Scorpio along with Pisces tendencies and are ruled by Pluto and Neptune.

If you are born in the first decant of Scorpio, you would have a great deal of intensity and depth to your character.  You would be an investigative individual who is interested in uncovering the mysteries of life and life’s experience.  You would have a powerful demeanour, especially on the inside, as the Sun sign speaks of our inner qualities, although these qualities can also be expressed outwardly as well.  You enjoy having power over life’s situations and want a certain amount of control.  Your emotions run deep and you are mostly able to keep them inside although much depends on your Moon Sign and its placement in your birth chart.  You will undergo many transformations in life and will regenerate yourself, primarily learned through life’s experience.  The tendency to gather information about yourself and self study runs very deep.  Transformations are a part of life and once you reconcile with yourself and explore your inner nature, you will make adjustments to your character.  You are always in search of truth, so this will be what instigates change.

If you were born in the second decanate of Scorpio, you would still encompass all the details previously discussed, but would also incorporate some character traits related to the sign of Cancer and the Moon.  This would make you sensitive to emotional interaction in your life and emotionally susceptible to your immediate surroundings.  Family and nurturing are important factors in your life and not only will you go to great lengths to insure that those close to you are cared for but you also need this yourself.  You are extremely protective of those you love and will face adversity head on if you feel that they are being challenged.  In general, you try to keep your emotions inside although it can be difficult at times, especially when emotionally attacked.  You will seek shelter and place a hard shell over your emotional sensitivities, but in general you tend to keep the emotions at bay, revealing little.  You are loving, caring, sensitive and soft as well as having the inner strengths embraced by the strong Scorpio tendencies.

If you were born during the third decanate of Scorpio, you would still carry forward the Scorpio traits, as discussed with the first decant, but you would also have Pisces tendencies, and Neptune along with Pluto would be your ruling Planets.  Pisces is much more sensitive that either of the other two decants and has a difficult time holding emotion within.  Just as Cancer, those within the third decant are sensitive to your environment but this can be to an extreme.  You need peace and tranquility in your immediate surroundings and seek gentleness along with compassion.  You seek this for yourself but especially for those that are less fortunate.  You are a kind and caring individual who is here to help.  Gruff and intrusive situations can make you retreat into yourself or react in a Scorpio manner--facing adversity in ways that can be subversive.  There is great psychic potential with this combination, although there is psychic potential with all three of these decants, if you care to identify with these traits.  The mystical side of life holds great importance.  Unfolding this potential and allowing the energies of who you are to soak up is part of your life’s purpose, again if you choose to make this part of your life.  You intuitively feel your environment and sometimes have a difficult time separating yourself from what is all around you.  You can take on the energies of your surroundings and other people’s emotional trauma.  Some tend to run from intrusive experiences and some even resort to drugs and alcohol to escape from the harsh reality that sometimes confronts them.

ROLLING WITH THE PUNCHES

We all go through periods when we seem to be challenged and fighting the process as it unfolds seems futile.  We sometimes feel pushed to the edge and we can only deal with things the best way we can.  The battles we wage sometimes create exaggerated issues and we would truly be much further ahead to roll with the punches.  There really is no way to avoid the lessons we have to learn in life, and at times, we just have to accept what stands before us.

Letting go long before our coping abilities have been stretched to their limits seems to be an ability we are reluctant to practice.  It is true that many of us learn only at the school of hard knocks.  Simply allowing is often the best alternative yet we fight it.  This is not a show of weakness or a deliberate act of surrender.  It is a true show of faith.  If we question our faith in the process, we bitterly hold on until we reach that point that we have no choice but to acknowledgement that we have finally come to a point where no further actions can be taken on our part.  Letting go and releasing our energies might be the best course of action available to us.

Everything in life has significance.  Determining our best approach is important not only for our sanity, but also for our greater good.  If we have walked around the situation and viewed it from every angle and there is no satisfactory way to get rid of it, it is time to accept that it is there and climb it or maybe take a new course around it.  In any case, enjoy the new view.  Staying where you are and accomplishing nothing but frustrations serves no purpose. 

Remember we have at our disposal all the ingredients we need to deal with any obstacle.  With the right frame of mind, we can continue our travels no matter how high the mountain is in front of us.  Attitude and expectation mold our reality.  We are at the controls even when we let go for this too is a choice.  We can halt our journey and stand in front of the mountain and feel defeated, or we can accept that the mountain is there, plan an alternate route or put on our climbing gear and conquer that mountain.  Whether we choose to go around or to climb this mountain, we will eventually get to our destination but if we stand in front of that mountain defeated and angry, we only hurt ourselves and forget to live.

NEPTUNE & ITS INFLUENCES IN THE NATAL CHART

Neptune’s influence can be quite subtle in its expression yet dynamic at the same time.  Its tendency is to cloud matters, to make things uncertain but can also lead to vibrant spiritual enlightenment.  Much depends on how Neptune is aspected in the birth chart and by which planets or angles. 

A strong Neptune can indicate trouble related to seeing the real picture.  There can be a tendency to visualize an ideal and cover up what might be right in front of you.  It can also produce vivid dreams which can be deciphered and used in daily life and it can stimulate the unconscious and activate psychic abilities.

The house that Neptune is located in the chart will define the area of life that may be somewhat cloudy and vague.  It can produce vivid understanding of the mystical and insight that will unequivocally describe the nature and expression of that particular house.  For example, if you were to have Neptune in the first house, you will come across as mysterious and intriguing, potentially a mystic or someone with great creativity and artistic expression.  This expression could also define someone with musical abilities, as well as someone who is lost in life and uses drugs to escape harsh realities.

Someone with Neptune in the seventh house could be attracted to a mystical type of individual or be drawn to those that require assistance or are lost.  Since the seventh house speaks about partnership, someone with Neptune in this house may have a hard time seeing their partner clearly.  They may put their partner on a pedestal and once the fog clears, they can be quite upset at what stands before them.  It is advised that anyone with Neptune in the seventh and especially those how have challenging aspects to Neptune that they review their chosen partner and even ask others what they think about them before plunging into a relationship.

The position of Neptune is also the place where mystical understanding and spiritual insight might be revealed especially if this is the ninth house or if Neptune is attached to a grand water trine in the birth chart.  Pluto in a close sextile to Neptune can also indicate the potential for spiritual insight and psychic leanings, especially if the connection is to the fourth or eighth house.  The twelfth house also speaks strongly of psychic potential but it also speaks of confinement and institutions where mental breakdowns and psychic disruption can have profound effects on the mental reasoning abilities.

When Neptune transits through a house or makes connections to planets in the birth chart, it is often quite a difficult transit to handle.  Many things associated with the house, the planet and sign can become quite unclear and misleading.  Nothing is for certain. 

Neptune can also teach you a great deal about compassion and selflessness however and even in extreme cases, its energies can lead to mystery and even psychosis if the channels are left to fester without the proper assistance to guide us through the illusiveness tied to Neptune.  In many cases confusion reigns and things are unclear.  The direction can be out of focus and rational may be difficult to achieve.  Insight is possible however.  Awakening through psychic teaching can be the final outcome.
