Mixed Emotions From Within

What is your perception of right and wrong?  Do you battle with what you think if right and what you feel is right?  How can you determine if you are living within the boundaries of right and wrong?  Have you ever questioned how much the mind’s interferes with your definition?  Are your guidelines based on a knowing or a taught definition? 

Is the way you live your life within the framework of what you “believe” to be the truth for you?

Our minds do tend to interfere with our perceptions of our own personal definition of truth, but ultimately, we still make the decisions.  Whether we adhere to the mind’s constant interruptions or whether we decide to challenge our mind is a choice.  If we find that we are battling with the substance of our own perceptions, we have to question why.  Do we act out of love and following our heart which creates our boundaries?  Do we follow guidelines set out before us and create our boundaries mentally based on what we have been taught?  Do we act out of guilt and thereby set personal expectations based on how others think we should act?  It is worth taking the time to review these questions.

If we are truly confused or indecisive, it is okay to consult our higher self or guides through mediation or prayer.  Ask for assistance.

We are truly feeling creatures and often we can find our answers on a personal emotional level.

If we eliminate the mind’s influence and through internal reflection we find that a portion of who we are or what we do is not in line with our own personal principles, what should we change?  Are these changes helpful in moving forward with our soul’s journey or are they only contemplated from outside pressures?

   

Live within the guidelines of your own perception of truth which can only be based on love.  If it does not feel right then do not trust in it, do not adhere to it and above all else do not identify with it.  Identifying with something makes it ours. 

If it does not feel right, it is not a part of us.  We are the creator of our own guidelines.  No one but self can decide what course of action is right for us.  We must follow our loving hearts.

When we make the right decisions, these decisions will resonates with us.  Eradicate the whispers of expectations from others for others do not experience or understand our personal loving energies.  These loving energies from within are our guides to joy, to allowing our hearts to shine and to illuminating our true path.

Applying and Separating Aspects in the Astrology Natal Chart

There are three different types of planetary movement in the Natal snapshot at the time of your birth.  These is motion when the aspect is applying (planets moving together to form an aspect), aspects that are separating (planets moving away from one another) and stationary aspects (planets that have been in retrograde motion and are now motionless before moving forward).  We are going to take a look at the applying and separating aspects in the Natal Chart.

Even when a Planet is retrograde at birth, it will either be forming an aspect with another planet or separating from aspect to another planet.  The closer the degree is to making an exact aspect, the stronger its influence is in our lives.  There are some planets that may not be making an aspect but this is rare.  There are varying types of aspect.  The major aspects (sextile, trine, conjunction, inconjunct, square or opposition) are very powerful in the natal chart.  We will be discussing this at a later date.

Many Astrologers believe that a separating aspect deals with past events or if you like, they represent finished business.  Separating aspects have already been dealt with and will eventually fade over time as the aspect continues to separate.  Some believe that the acknowledgement and correction took place before birth, and we have already made adjustments to overcome whatever the two planets involve describe.  The degrees that separate the planets describe how powerful that aspect is in the chart.  The closer the aspects, the more powerful and represents perhaps one of the last things that were set in motion in a previous lifetime, but obviously this is speculative.

Astrologers understand this significance and will define its intensity and help delineate the meaning of any particular influence in the Birth Chart. 

When planets are applying, it is understood that the quicker moving planet is moving towards the slower moving planet and suggests unfinished business that will have to be rectified during the course of this lifetime.  Once again the closer the aspect, the more apparent and pressing the energies of the planets involved.  We have come into this life to address the energies.  Only then can we come to terms with whatever the planets and aspects suggest.

The applying aspects become stronger as time passes and intensify.  They push us in directions that will assist us in defining the apparent circumstances involving these two planetary energies.  These conditions are dealt with after birth.  Applying aspects are suggestive of future endeavours that should be approached and dealt with.  This is not to say that all aspects between planets are challenging-- far from it.  You have to approach the planets involved and decipher how well they work together and what aspects are involved before making a judgement call on how the energies will affect one another.

Remember the tighter the aspect, the more significant its influence in our lives. 

For example, a conjunction between Mars and Pluto is a very strong aspect, but if these planets are separating from one another and are out by 8 degrees compared to an aspect of let’s say Venus conjunct the Sun, (which is a much softer aspect) and which is applying and only out by 23 minutes, the latter aspect would have a far greater influence than the aspect between Mars and Pluto.

It is important to weigh out the aspects and recognize whether the aspect is applying or separating when deciphering a Natal chart.

Retaining The Core

We are revisiting our connection with source and our commitment to stay attuned with this key purpose.  Many will unintentionally venture off course due to the enchantment of the experience.  It is my opinion that we should regularly remind ourselves that we are spiritual beings living an earthly experience and that our life’s experiences would not be taking place if it were not necessary to our reconnect with our source and our union with the whole.

We can get lost in the momentum and forget where we originated from, losing track of this key ingredient.  Many of us become wrapped up in the psychic enhancements that take hold in our lives and as the journey begins unfolding, we tend to forget our core and the whole purpose of this life’s experience.  We are here to reunite with our source and to awaken to our true nature and the why behind our existence.

Life does become exciting and all-encompassing, but without this awareness, we lose track of the importance behind our awakening.  The central core of our existence evolves around the concept of love and all of its effects and to a lesser degree on our evolving story.  Our evolving story is a by-product of these essential ingredients.  We must not forget this.  Without our connection with our source, we are nothing.  It is not only our guiding principle, but it is also our true evolution, personally and as a whole.

Keeping this in mind and adhering to this truth.  Remember that we are in search of pure love and our source.  If we forget, there are individuals that come into our lives that have this very important reminder for us all. 

Faith is a difficult virtue to conquer.  It is not something that we can touch and hold in our hands.  It cannot be analysed and conceptualized.  It just is.  Believing in the core structure of our being can be the most difficult challenge that life will send your way or the easiest, if you just allow.

Any impulse for recognition for our efforts stems from the ego and has to be recognized as such.  We are all together in this pursuit and without our interaction with source, we would go nowhere.  When we feel admiration and maybe superiority because of other’s attitude towards our efforts and works, acknowledge the ego’s proper place and how, if allowed to run wild, it will manifest in your life. 

We are conduits for the energies of source and emit the core’s love and light simply by being.  When the realization of truth surfaces as to the why behind our being here and we realize our part in the overall assembly, the ego goes back into its proper place, which is in line with source and not in line with an overextended view of self.  The ego has its place and so do we.  Both share in the key ingredient, love, which lines up with source, always.

North Node in Libra in Astrology

As indicated in a previous post, there are always two Nodes of the Moon, the north and south nodes.  The North Node describes our destiny--the reason we are here in this incarnation.  The South Node is said to define where we have come from and what we have brought with us into this incarnation.  We are to use some of the qualities linked to the South Nodes sign and house position and use them in such ways that will assist us in uncovering and manifesting our North Node qualities, which is also defined by sign and house position.  This is a very general description to help with the understanding of this post.

North Node in Libra deals primarily with partnerships, either through relationships or in business ventures.  In most cases, it has to do with important partnerships and is often linked to the marriage partner or significant other.  With the North Node in Libra, this individual’s experiences will be linked closely to the partner through romantic involvement and is often tied to lessons that will be experienced through partnerships.

The South Node is always directly opposite by sign and house placement from the North Node.  They are always in opposition to each other, exactly.  The South Node suggests that in a previous lifetime anyone with their North Node in Libra that life was evolved around matters that dealt directly to them and discovering themselves as an individual was a prime objective of the soul.  Advancements were made through personal lessons and maneuvering through life perhaps alone or without significant others playing important roles in life.  It was all about this individual and now it is all about the other.   Valuable lessons will be taught through these relationships and they have come into this world to experience life through relationships with others.

For those individuals with their North Node in Libra, this life will be all about creating a balance and finding harmony in their relationships and if this balance is not forthcoming, it will be all about trying to create it.  Other people play significant roles in their lives and they will feel as though they are not whole without a significant other in their life.  Peace and harmony at almost any cost is often an offshoot with this nodal placement. 

In the past (South Node), this individual relied mostly on themselves and because of this, they was very self-confident.  Self-interests were pretty much all that mattered and now they will bring this self-assurance with them and use it in ways that will help others.  They are here to share their life and adapt to the needs of others, through acts of selfless love and devotion.   They will seek out ways to find a healthy balance between self-sufficiency and the reliance on others in this life.  They will work to uncover ways to work in unison with others, either in personal relationships or through business partnership.

To further define the partnerships and liaisons they will make with others and the part that they will play in this union, look to the house position and ruling planet’s position of their North and South Nodes.  It is also suggested that these individuals look into how these Nodes are aspected to define whether these unions and commitments will run smoothly and to find the best routes to follow as life progresses.  Partnership will be the prime importance in this life, so they must make sure that they are choosing the right partner.  The seventh house often describes this individual.

They can use the pioneering nature brought over from their past life to assist them in many of their undertakings, as the South Node would be in the sign of Aries, a self-promotional and affluent position that can push them forward in this life.  This life is not all about these individuals.  It is about their lives with important people and what they can do together as a couple not as an individual.

Acts of Kindness

How many of us without forethought carry out acts of kindness for others?   

Have you ever considered the influence your random act of kindness may have had on that person? 

An act of kindness can be visualized as a ripple of water made from a boat on a calm and serene lake.  The swell spreads and will continue on its path until it reaches the other side of the lake.  This would be the reaction from a small act of kindness.  It does not have to be colossal to have an impact. 

These are random acts which come from the heart with no expectation of anything in return.  Is this not how we should live our lives?  We spread joy through little acts of thoughtfulness in whatever form suits the moment.

How you personally feel about your act of kindness has little relevance on the impact it has as it continues on its path.  There is no telling how it will enhance others’ lives and what the outcome will be.  Perhaps all someone needs is a smile or a simple statements as “have a good day”. 

You are planting something positive in that person.  There may be someone out there that it is essential that they know someone cares.  Do not rule this out.  Spread the joy of living by living your life to the fullest and scattering this energies of love and compassion.

You are a vessel and a conduit of love.  Spread it freely in whatever way is appropriate in that moment.  It is yours to give.  It costs you nothing to share!

Freedom To Be Yourself

So, you believe you are different.  Okay, you know you are different!  This is not something to be ashamed of.  You are unique unto yourself and no one can take that away from you.  You are special and you offer a different viewpoint from the “norm”. 

Yes, you do have something unique to offer.  Many accept this concept for others but few are willing to express or accept it for themselves. 

Most of us know that there is more to life than what the eye can see.  Most of us believe that there is more to life than the mundane concerns for finances and all that comes with it.  Why then are so many of us unwilling to speak openly about our philosophies on life?

Many of us are uncomfortable being open about our beliefs.  Some feel out of place or feel as though they will be judged. 

I ask you, ”What is the mainstream or the norm?” How are we different than what is perceived as the mainstream? 

We ARE all unique but this is our own special allotment in life.  It is an honour to be one of those individuals that are lucky enough to feel comfortable with whom they are.  Do not allow yourself to be affected by what others think.  Understand that other people’s opinions are simply that – other people’s opinions.  It matters little what they think.  What matters is what we know.

We are walking with our eyes open.  We have goals and courage.  We are learning life’s rules and have a grasp of our part in this process.  We strive for higher values and purpose and should never be ashamed of this.

Stand tall and know your place.  Spread your wisdom, acknowledge your place and send that out into your world.

You are always on purpose.  You are forthright and honest.  Move forward with confidence.  Do not be afraid to spread your wings.  Allow your light to shine!

Sun in Pisces in Astrology

Today, we enter into the Sun sign of Pisces.  This is the last astrological placement of the zodiac.  Pisces is said to contain segments of all the previous signs and may be our final step in our earthly evolution, depending on the level of awareness attained in this lifetime.  Pisceans are known to be dreamy to those individuals who are less sensitive and prophetic in their nature.  Pisces individuals display signs of psychic ability and have mystical leanings.  There is something far away about many Pisces individuals and they seem to intuitively sense the emotional undercurrents that surround them.

Piscean individuals are usually very compassionate and sensitive people.  They have a soft spot for anyone undergoing life’s sometimes difficult experiences.  They also have concerns for the underdog and go out of their way to assist others in need.  They are extremely self-sacrificing and some can become vulnerable to the harsher side of life.  There are those that would take advantage of their caring nature and exploit them.  As these individuals mature, they sometimes learn hard lessons from the “users” in life and eventually learn to discriminate between those that genuinely require their help and those that just take advantage of their kind heart.

Those with a strong Sun in Pisces simply need to have a purpose.  They need a sense of worth and a driving force to push them towards their goal of spirituality.  Life’s lessons are understood as being prerequisites in this journey and many will martyr themselves for the sake of others.  If they become caught up in unfortunately or misleading adventures in life, some will resort to the use of alcohol and drugs to escape the hard cold facts that life often dictates.  Some resort to living in an imaginary world of their own and build walls of protection so their extreme sensitivity is not invaded.

Many have a creative flair and music, the arts and creative writing are just a few of the boundless areas where this magical force can be expressed.  When in love, they love deeply and are considered selfless and will orientate themselves in service to others, on a high level of spirituality.  When in focus with their inner journey, they feel on purpose and the intuitive side can reach mystical proportions.  Many develop psychic abilities as they mature into their role in life, although some become lost in confusion.  Often sparks of the imagination can run rampant if not kept under control.  The imaginary qualities linked to this sign are the motivating factor behind their driving force towards a spiritual connection and their inner strength as long as they are in focus.

Life’s lessons often include finding their mission, creating a sense of self-worth and a meaning to their lives that goes beyond self.  Through meditation and the practice of selfless living, many will reach heights unimaginable for those on a more physical, material journey.  Pisces has been linked to the purity in spirituality and we can all learn valuable life lessons through this often misunderstood sign.

Religious Doctrine

Before we delve into writing about religion, we would like to stress that it is our opinion that the core of all religions is similar in that most religions base their belief structure on the dominant and fundamental issue that we are in search of something that encompasses love and compassion. 

For most of us with any type of belief structure this is our core and this unifying concept makes all of our fundamental beliefs viable in their own unique way. 

There is one true religion that resonates within each and every one of us.  Faith or the concept of truth has to be available to each and every one of us regardless of mental capacity, age, geographical location, etc.  It has to be available at any moment in any given capacity.  The only place we can possibly find this truth would be from within.

Most would agree that love is the central focus and all of its attributes live within each and every living cells.  We are all part of the universal truth.

The various religions have many teachings, each valid to their own.  No one can dispute another person’s truth.  We have no authority to either judge or condemn someone else’s beliefs.  It is their truth. 

Following your heart in such matters is the only truth available.  Allowing others to lovingly walk their road of faith is the best any individual can do to remain in harmony with their own personal truth.  It is not enough to know or proclaim our own particular belief structure.  If it is truth, we must live our truth and teach through example.   If we are not living within the structures of our beliefs, what do our beliefs stand for?  We cannot be hypocrites and pretend to be something we are not.  We can, however, keep pursuing our truth regardless of trial and error.

Follow your own personal guidelines.  Build bridges of compassion, share love and hope to all.  We can live to the best of our abilities recognizing that we are human. 

It is by no means an easy road to travel.  We will tire and obstacles will often get in the way, but we are the masters of our path.   

Follow your own doctrines and remain true to who you are and your personal beliefs.   Stay open to the quiet voice within for this voice has a direct line to our pure essence.

Transiting Neptune Conjunct Natal Sun

Transiting Neptune conjunct the natal Sun deflates the ego and enhances the mystical qualities inherent in individuals that lean in this direction.  Those that are so inclined will find that when this transit contacts their Sun, the psychic and intuitive qualities are heightened and often brought to the surface, especially if you have Pisces on the Ascendant and the Sun in the first house natally.  Neptune is very selfless and encourages unselfish acts and self-sacrifice for the general good.

Any type of charity work that takes place when this aspect is in force will be highlighted and working under such conditions can be very absorbing and encouraging.  Working behind the scenes such as working in hospitals or with people in-need will provide the recipient of this transit a feeling of comfort and inspiration.  Any kind of selfless acts are well designed for this conjunction, but one must watch for becoming a Martyr for the cause.

This martyr role is often the case with this selfless and illusive energy linked to Neptune.  We can become caught up in the act of giving and may forget about our own needs.  This can be the nature of Neptune as it tends to offer itself in ways of assistance and asks for nothing in return.  Some may be taken advantage of because of their giving qualities, as there are some that will take advantage of the nature which surfaces during these Neptunian times.

If Neptune or the Sun are poorly aspected in the Natal chart, there is a danger of slipping away and loosing oneself during this transit.  We can become lost within, having vague dreams and misconceptions about the nature of reality and who we are.  Neptune colours things and can make our identity vague during its conjunction and can also promote the need for escaping the harsh realities that we may encounter during its visit.

It can hide our true selves especially if the Sun or Neptune is located in the twelfth house.  There is a danger of an addictive nature surfacing if we are so inclined previous to this energy being released.  There is also a danger with prescription drugs or alcohol and the need to escape life on some level if these planets are poorly placed or aspected in the birth chart or if there are other inclinations within the framework of our chart.

One side effect during the transit of Neptune to the natal Sun is one of idealism.  It is important that all idealism has a focus in reality.  We can deceive yourselves as well as others during this time and it is suggested that we live according to our highest standards and not allow ourselves to be mislead others.   We may also feel physically drained during this transit or psychologically impaired.  This can lead to disillusionment or negative reactions to life.  Depression can be a side effect.  It is best to push ourselves into positive avenues of expression and allow the true altruistic nature of Neptune to take hold.  We must allow ourselves to be led by the subconscious.

This can be an amazing transit if well-handled and we may never look at life the way we did before this transit again.  It can open doors to perception and mystical doorways that were otherwise closed before the energy of Neptune moved into our Charts.  We should utilize this time and study ourselves and our motivations and see where this transit can take us.

Neptune has been hovering around the 1-7 degree mark of Pisces since early 2012.  It has been moving in and out of retrograde for this whole period and finally moved into direct motion in November of 2014.  It is still in the 6-7 degree of Pisces but will continue its motion forward until June of 2015.  During this time (June 2015) it is almost at 10 degrees of Pisces and will once again move back into retrograde motion but will not go below the 7 degree mark again.  If you have your Sun at the 7-11 degree mark of Pisces this post applies to you now.  It will also resonate but the timing is different for people who have an earlier Sun sign degree.  For those that have a later Sun sign degree in Pisces, it will take a little longer for this transit to reveal itself to you.

What Have You Done For Yourself Lately?

What have you done for YOU lately?  Be honest and ask yourself, plain and simple, “What have you done?” 

What answer did you come up with?  Have you taken the time for yourself or have you just been too busy? 

Each and every one of us has our own personal needs, above and beyond the needs of those that depend on you.  You too are important.  You might come last in your own order of needs but making time for yourself is important. 

Take a moment to spend some time by yourself, to enjoy doing something that you truly enjoy doing.

If it has been a while since you made yourself a priority, perhaps you need to make plans to do just that.  Alternatively, go out and do something special on the spur of the moment.  It does not have to be huge.  It should be time set aside for a little something that will make you relax and enjoy.

If you feel stressed then perhaps your body is speaking to you.  In order to be of services to others, you yourself must be in peak condition, mentally and physically.  Life is about giving, but giving to self is also part of the scenario. 

Whenever you feel stressed (from specific events or in general from life’s duties), take a moment to ask yourself what you could do for yourself that might ease the burden, even if only for a few minutes.  Enjoy anything....something...meditation, a walk in nature, a quite bath, sing a favorite song, dance.  Whatever relaxes you, take a few moments for yourself each day. 

Life can be very busy.  We sometimes get caught up in the drama of life and forget that we are supposed to have fun and enjoy ourselves.  Live your life to the fullest.  Fill you time with selfless service, compassion and love but remember that you too should be the recipient of these things. 

Have fun, enjoy life, and find your place on your list of things to do.

Visualize What You Want

We would like to do a little exercise on visualization but before we begin, we should spend some time focusing on what we already have.  Take a moment to recognize all the wonderful people in your life.  Take a moment and experience thankfulness for your health, even if you are currently facing some challenges.  Remind yourself of miraculous way our bodies work.  Take a moment to look around your home, your furnishings, the comforts that we so often take for granted, your automobile, your clothing and more importantly, the food that nourishes your body.  Think of your job (schooling, hobbies), your income (pensions, assistance, employment insurance) and the life style you experience because of these things.  We live a life of plenty!  From time to time we need to focus our attention on just how fortunate we are to have all these blessings in our lives.

Being grateful for what we have rather than paying attention to what is missing will keep the door open for more of the same to develop and grow in our lives. 

Some of us get caught in a cycle of complaining and we forget to reflect on all of the positives in our lives.  We judge and focus on what we condition negative attributes of our life and because we are so wrapped up in that focus, we only see what is missing and what we do not want in our lives.

It truly is a blessing to be alive today and to share all the wonders of our world.  One of the most treasured experiences we have is nature and its raw beauty.  Regardless of season, it is spectacular to take in.  Stop just for a moment and take in the beauty that surrounds you.  Take a real close look.  It may be the first time you have done this in a very long time.

Now that we have spent some time recognizing our gifts, we can appreciate our lives on a deeper level, but what about our most sacred wishes?  Can we manifest these into our lives?  Will our “wants and desires” ever become part of our lives?  What you are wishing for....do you truly want it in your life?  Will it bring you happiness or even more importantly will it make you more whole?

Carefully re-consider your objectives in life and make sure they are in line with your values and concepts.  Make them holy in nature and treasure these objectives.  Centre them in such a way that others will benefit from your hopes and wishes.  It should provide something of value to others as well.  Once you have considered these conditions, imagine that you already have them.  Throw away the thoughts of “I wish”, “I want”, “if only”.  They only produce more wishing, wanting and if only’s.  Picture you life filled with all that you could ever need as though they have already materialized.  It is through living your life as though all your needs are met that life will be exactly as you dream.

Manifesting into life begins with this attitude.  You have to picture yourself as already having “it”, as it were already a part of who you and your life. 

Look in the mirror and tell yourself that these have materialized and you deserve them.  You cannot manifest something into being if you feel you are not worthy.  You have to come to terms with this.  You deserve all of the wonders and joys of life as much as anyone else.  If you do not believe this, make alterations to your belief structures.  Your beliefs and expectations mold your life over time.  You can change anything given the necessary time to change your mind’s focus.

You are a kind and loving.  You deserve the best that life has to offer.  You deserve happiness and contentment.  With focus and a positive attitude, you WILL manifest, and life will fulfill your intentions.  All that you need will materialize if you believe and stop wanting.  There will be more to come, as you open up to the possibilities. 

Let go of wants and wishes.  Be open; be positive!

New Moon/Full Moon

On February 3, we did a post on the Full Moon in Leo.  We thought we would go a little deeper and offer some suggestions on what intentions to set in the New Moon phase.  It is understood that we can set new intentions during the New Moon Cycle and then have it materialize or deepen the idea once we move into the Full Moon phase.  This does not necessarily suggest that we can set new intentions on the New Moon and then watch them come into full fruition on the next Full Moon.

It is suggested that you place your intention on an area of life that resonates with the sign the Moon is in or house placement and then when the next Full Moon comes and moves into the same sign that correlates with the intentions you set, the intention can develop or extend onto the next level.  In other words, let’s say that the New Moon is in the sign of Virgo and is transiting through the tenth house.  This could be the time to put into motion change in the work environment and perhaps find ways to make it run more smooth.  When the Full Moon enters the sign of Virgo again or moves into the tenth house, you should see a manifestation along the same lines that now affects your occupation or workplace.  You could carry this further on the next Full Moon phase entering into the sign of Virgo or even Capricorn or in the tenth house and delve deeper to seek out ways to promote what it is you set in motion when the initial New Moon cycle was in Virgo.

The sign and house position can assist you in making the right choices and would assist in the appropriate timing to move in this direction.  When the cycle of the Full Moon re-enters into the same sign, it renews the initial intention which was set. 

Another example might be with the New Moon in Libra or in the fifth house.  We could make a commitment or set into motion the formation of a meaningful relationship.  When the Full Moon comes back into the sign of Libra or enters the fifth house or even the seventh house, you could seek out ways to enhance this opportunity and allow yourself to be more open to such possibilities.  If you were to meet someone during this phase or the next phase, perhaps it would then be appropriate to move to the next stage for a more meaningful and loving relationship. 

It is believed by this Astrologer that if you make intentions that are in line with the sign or house position of the Moon then the potential for these intentions to materialize is much greater. 

It should be pointed out that if the Moon is moving into Void Off Course then it is wise not to have any expectations as quite often when the Moon is in this position, plans do not materialize.  It is best to wait until the Moon moves out of Void Off Course.  The Void Off Course can last from minutes to several days.  You might also have a look at the transits during this time and see if they concur with the plans you are setting.

Remember that Astrology points the way.  We, however, must make the moves and put into motion that which the cosmos is offering.  Astrology is a wonderful tool but we are always in control.  Even when life seems to dictate, we have full control over our reactions and our choices.

Other People's Opinions

Throughout life, we will encounter opinions and words of discouragement from others concerning our focus on spirit, concerning our commitment to higher principles and concerning our quest for awakening.  The views, opinions and attitudes of others should never be allowed to influence our focus.  No one will be walking in our footsteps along our specific path.  Their opinions and assessments of our actions ultimately have no merit on our journey.  Each and every one of us is entitled to our own personal choices as long as we respect others in the process.

Some that disagree with our journey are absorbed in material or worldly pursuits.  Many are caught up in the ego’s influence and view their lives from a completely different perspective than we do.  For some, this may be their temporary path and for others that is their journey of this incarnation.  Each of our souls or higher selves experience and learn through what is essential to their current development.  Although we may have difficulty understanding why each of us take our separate routes, this is not for us to judge. 

It is essential to respect other people’s points of view, to respect their ideologies, to respect their journey.  We truly do not understand their purpose here and now.   

It is crucial that we all recognize this necessity, both given and received.  Release ego; set a positive example and reap the seeds that you have sown. 

If you are judged, respond with non-judgement.  We cannot control others nor can we respond in kind and expect a different result.  If offering love and acceptance does not alter their opinions and actions, perhaps you will need to remove yourself from the situation.  There will be times when you will be tested on your opinions and your journey’s true path.  You do not have to defend your beliefs, as often this will not alter other’s opinions.  It is not your responsibility to make them understand or even conceive your principles or belief structures.  Defend your journey through example.  Live in love and offer compassion and respect. 

Your path is the only road important for you.  Other’s opinions hold little relevance to your commitment to truth.  Stand by your ideals and let others have their own.  We are not meant to prove the validity of our journey.  We can only live up to our own personal ideals.  Be what you are trying to convey with your words and let your actions speak for themselves.  You are on track and on purpose.  Nothing can stand in your way, but you.  You have the strength to overcome all adversity, and you stand together hand in hand with source.  How can you possibly go wrong?

Moon in Gemini in Astrology

Moon in Gemini is the sign of emotional versatility and emotional adaptability.  The emotions are experienced on a very wide range, from little to no emotional response to extremes although often short-lived bursts of emotion.   Emotional changes are so common that even the individual experiencing them has a difficult time adjusting.  There is no set course of action except perhaps to expect a reaction to stimuli, as this is usually the case.

These individuals are influenced to a great extent on how their mind deciphers the experience.  The mind will evaluate whatever has taken place and then under normal conditions, the individual will rationalize the event and then react accordingly (and this can happen in an instant).  Outside stimuli often have a powerful influence on Moon in Gemini individuals and change is often a by-product of their environment.  Change is apparent and often the focus tends to wonder because of this. 

These individuals understand that they are all about change, so how can they focus when things are about to change.  This can be emotionally upsetting as they would love to understand why they are feeling the way they do, but sometimes they are unable to figure these emotions out.

Sometimes rational does not apply.  Moon in Gemini individuals just feel what they feel and it might be hard to get a handle on why.  In most cases, they are bored and need something to do.  They especially need someone to talk to and share what is taking place in their lives.  If no one seems interested, they will go through an array of emotional feelings.  These individuals need intellectual stimuli to be happy and when it is not easily found, their emotions can soar.

The Moon is often associated with the home environment and this is often a place of emotional release.  They have to make sure that they treat everyone fairly.  It is important that they not extend their emotional outbursts on family and close friends.  Release is very important; however, they will have to find ways to express themselves without affecting others.  This might be somewhat difficult because they do not know how to do anything in half measures.  When they express themselves, they do it with great emotion and if they are upset, these individuals will let others know. 

Finding a peaceful resolution only comes after deliberation and finding a solution to life’s sometimes challenging times.

It will be important for Moon in Gemini people to figure things out, but if they cannot figure out why they feel the way they do, they will have to find a way of letting it go.  It is important to understand that sometimes life is not black and white and our emotions are not always easily figured out.  “Let go and move on” might be good advice as analysing and trying to figure things out can drive Moon in Gemini individuals crazy and this will upset an otherwise good day.

Curiosity

Curiosity often entices our searches in life.  Out of nowhere something catches our attention and in most cases, this spark seems as though it has comes out of nowhere.  An idea or a statement that hit homes appears to come out of nowhere and causes us to seek further.  This too happens at a point our lives.  We question our daily lives and the direction in which we are heading.

It might be an event that causes us to review our life’s circumstances and the mundane habits that we seem to hold so dear.  At some point in our habit to gather possessions to enhance our lives and surroundings, we recognize an emptiness.  We realize that these things provide only a temporary sense of excitement or contentment and then our exuberance begins to fade.

Some of us will seek out important relationships to build these union and with the hopes that others will help fill the void.  Upon first meeting a significant other, our lives seem changed and in many ways they are, but we are still searching for more.  The relationship can be wonderful and provide us with joy and excitement but it will not fill that empty space that seems to reside within.  All relationships are important, particularly those that we make commitments to, but it is important to shed light on the fact that even the most comfortable relationship cannot complete us, at least not on a non-material level.

If we are fortunate, both parties that make up the relationship notice the seemingly separation that takes place on some level and recognizes it for what it truly is.  In reality this need for more is not a lack of love or an incompatibility.  This realization will actually uncover that we need to find contentment and wholeness from within ourselves and not from within a relationships.  The answer lies in the understanding that we have a void in life because we have not as of yet opened the door to our understanding of self and our connection with the cosmic consciousness.

The void stems from within.  We must be connected to our greater self, our inner self.  There is an oneness that stems from our connection to our pure essence.  Our inner self speaks to us if we learn to listen.  Our true self offers love and compassion.  It is not a loud voice that demands attention.  It is subtle in its nature and offers subtle suggestions. 

We, in our physical state, still have a prevalent hold on what happens next.  If we begin to take notice of this subtle guide, we begin to recognize the genuine assistance that is offered at the most opportune moments.  It is the voice that warns us of danger, the voice that guides us in making the right decisions and the constant companion that is always at our side but never overbearing or demanding.

Our curiosity towards life results from this connection.  As we awaken to the true understanding and our commitment to life, we begin to take note of our reliable guide and friend.  As we become aware of our source, we also become aware of the bigger picture, and we realize that we are never alone.  There are other companions along our life’s road; there are guides and fellow acquaintances that we meet on our life’s journey that also act as guides and become close friends and partners but mostly it is that undaunting inner self that is always there and whom offers the most support.

Curiosity was our starting point and still entices us to continue along our path.  Recognize your place in this life and move forward with the same curiosity that stirred you in the first place.  Listen to the quiet voice and let love be your guide.  Enjoy your partnerships and relationships but know that you, with the guidance of your pure essence, are responsible for your wholeness, understanding and contentment.

Unique Gifts

Why are we here? To what end is my part in my life’s journey?  How many have asked these questions and how many come up short of a satisfying answer?

Many of us have connections to the mystical side of life or at the very least most have inclinations towards mysticism and spirituality.  Some have connections with their guides.  Most practice meditation techniques and join groups with people of like-minded attitudes and viewpoints.  We surround ourselves with healers, psychics and many others that bring their unique gifts to the table.  We all have a magical element within us.

As we begin to develop some of our talents, we reach out into different expressions of that particular art.  Many read books on the best techniques to enhance their abilities.  Timing is paramount.  You cannot awaken a talent until the appropriate understanding is without our grasps.  With this understanding, the practice of meditation can brings forth the opportune timing which enhances our arts of expression, the art of knowing and enhancing. 

Development does not happen simply because you feel you are ready.  The work required to develop can be viewed as a test of faith and a learning of patience.  Is this not a lesson we all need to learn?  Understand and know that when the time is right, it WILL happen.

So you might ask, “What are my special gifts?”  You may think, “I am not psychic”, or let me rephrase this, “I do not believe that I am psychic”, “I do not believe that I am a healer”, “I do not know the tarot”, “I am not an Astrologer”.  What is my purpose?  Why am I here? 

The first step in awakening to your purpose or life’s path or destiny (call it what you will) is to believe that you have a purpose and that you are on purpose, always.  You simply may not recognize this at this particular point in time.

Life changes on a constant basis and your purpose slowly evolves as time passes.  You usually do not suddenly wake up with a complete understanding of why you are here, although some do.  Programming your dreams to reveal what current conditions in your life are trying to teach you is another method of learning, but in most cases the answers are simple and very subtle.

Move one step at a time.  Understanding that this is the process and as time will have it, the doors of perception begin to open-- once again one step at a time.  Pay attention to serendipity.  Events are never coincidence.  The little things in life speak volumes but most times, we are so wrapped up in living that we do not recognize the messages we are given. 

It can take time to realize your purpose.  Your life is not just a mix of events that serve no purpose.  Be patient and understand this.  Believe in yourself and know that even as you read this, you are on purpose and are exactly where you need to be right now. 

You are opening the door to understanding and beginning to comprehend. 

You are love.  You are compassion.  You are the messenger of this. Remind yourself of this and then share this simple knowledge.  How is that for purpose? 

Stay open and listen.  The answers are always quietly laid in front of you.

Moon in Cancer in Astrology

Today we will take a look at the Moon’s position in the sign of Cancer.  If the Moon is located in the fourth house, there will be some similarities to what we are about to write, as Cancer is the natural ruler of this house. 

The Moon defines our emotional needs and our instinctual reactions to life’s events.  It does not deal with the mind but may be influenced by our belief structure or our mental outlook.  The mind is ruled by Mercury and some with Mercury in Cancer will relate to some of these attributes as well.

This is a very sensitive placement for the Moon although it is quite comfortable in this placement, as the Moon is ruled by the sign of Cancer.  Sensitivity is the key word and many with this placement in their charts are ruled by their emotions.  They feel intensely and have difficulty separating other people’s feelings from their own.  This makes them very caring and nurturing to those in emotional need.  It is part of their nature to care for others even when other people might not want their help.

They are the nurtures of the Zodiac and have a compassion nature.  Moon in Cancer individuals are sympathetic to other peoples’ plights.  They are very mothering and often are over-protective of others, especially family members.  They are always caring for other people’s emotional needs and must realize that their own emotional needs also have to be addressed.  In general, their feelings can get away from them and dealing with hard emotional facts can either be a great strength or a powerful adversary. 

These individuals tend to give it their all when it comes to emotions and they feel their way through life, rather than intellectualizing their emotions.  Many are psychic sponges picking up all of the little subtleties in their surroundings.  Their instinct is strong and they often pick up what is going on in other people’s lives.  It has been suggested that the psychic realms hold great interest with those with this placement. 

The moon is often in a water sign, a water house and/or there is a Grand Water Trine when the psychic inclinations run deep.  Moon in Cancer is a prime example of this.  Intuition also runs very deep and these individuals can usually rely on these feelings to guide them through life.

The more challenging ramifications include over-sensitivity and emotional outbursts at the drop of a hat.  Some become pessimistic and insecure during times of deep emotional interaction.  These individuals need to find ways to use their emotional responses in a creative form.  Being psychic, they can lend a hand and help others work through their more difficult life phases.  They truly want to be of help and will find creative ways to be responsive to the needs of those around them.
