TRANSITING MARS SQUARE NEPTUNE

 From April 6 to April 15 (2021) transiting Mars will be making a square to transiting Neptune.  Their closest positioning will be at almost 22 degrees and Neptune will be in Pisces, while Mars will be in Gemini. 

 

Mars in Gemini is quick, agile and explosive although often short lived. 

 

Neptune in Pisces has to do with the psychic realm of life along with deception if poorly aspected and enlightening when favorably aspected.  Much will depend on the aspects to this positioning in your natal chart and the houses which they are transiting through as well as the natal houses being affected.

 

The transit of these two planets is short lived although can be quite noticeable and assertive if not even forceful.  Mars is about aggressive action and pushing ahead, and when in square, it may do so in rather impulsive ways and through determined action.  The will to move through any adverse situation, if this is the case, will be met with a powerful force because the square although tedious and challenging will make its way through regardless of obstacles.  The energy and desire to work through difficulties is part of the picture because the impediment is difficult enough and aggravating enough that we are forced to deal with it, or at the very least we should.

 

Neptune can be illusive and subtle in its energies, and when Neptune is being challenged, it does not deal with facts, especially cold hard facts very well.  The tendency is to run and hide or not face up to what is in place.  However, there is a strong spiritual connection when Neptune is in Pisces and the answer is often found through subconscious channels.  Much can be observed through acts of meditation and dream evaluation.

 

In the birth chart, Mars square Neptune is a difficult placement and Mars can suggest challenges when it comes to pushing ahead with matters.  There is a strong desire to avoid at almost any cost any challenging situations.  Mars, however, pushes ahead and depending on which houses and signs are involved, Mars wants definition and clarity and wants the truth to be brought forward into the light.  There can be an aggressive push to conquer any difficulties with psychic interpretation and mystical unfolding over time.  Mars will insist that you see things clearly or its energies may intrude on any peace that you might want for yourself.  Mars is aggressive and intentional. 

 

Squares always suggest challenging situations and the need to work your way through any adversity.  There are often stumbling blocks to success and hurtles to overcome but pushing forward is what Mars is known for.

TIMERS IN ASTROLOGY

The angles in an Astrology chart are Ascendant {AC} (cusp of the first house), Midheaven {Medium Coeli -MC) (cusp of the tenth house), Imum Coeli {IC} (cusp of the fourth house) and Descendant {DC}) (cusp of the seventh house).  These four distinctive angles are highly sensitive areas when touched by transiting (current placement) planets, or progressed planets.

 

The planets are also important in event forecasting, especially the outer planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) due to their slow rate of travel through the Zodiac.  Due to the slow speed of their movement, the energies have a longer effect than the inner planets and can affect an area of your chart for several years.  Although you will be affected during the whole period of the aspect, the closer the aspect is to being direct, the stronger the energy.  When within one degree of being direct, the energies are quite strong.

 

It is important to look at the planet that is being transited and the natal aspects (aspects in your birth chart) to this planet along with any other transits or progressions that are influencing the degree in question.  If a natal planet has any other planets or key point in the birth chart affecting it by natal aspect, these additional planets or key points will also be affected by the transit in question. 

 

The more aspects a natal planet receives from other natal planets and key points, the stronger the influence will be.  The energies of the planets involved and the house placements will help define how the energies might be released.  The overall picture, which includes the transiting planet, its house position and its natal position must be taken into consideration when unlocking the potential of a transit when it occurs.

 

When a transiting outer planet is within one degree of being direct to a natal planet by aspect, you should look at the transits of Uranus, Mars, the Sun as well as the progressed Moon.  When any of these planets activate the natal planet being affected, the energies will be released. 

 

For example, let’s say that transiting Pluto is squaring your natal Sun.  This aspect indicates that changes on a personal level are taking place.  This could also have a professional effect, but much will be determined by the house placement of the Sun and also Pluto.  The closer the degree is to being direct, the stronger the aspect.  With our example of the square, let’s say that the planets are 0 degrees and 20 minutes apart, so the energies are strong as they are only out by half a degree.  It is also necessary to check to see if one of the planets that trigger an event is in the same degree particularly by conjunction, as this will undoubtedly activate an event and stimulate activity to take place.

 

Uranus can usually be used on its own to the exact degree to the minute defining activity in the area of life depicted by house positions.  Mars and the Sun will also activate what is potentially promised, but Uranus can often be counted on to release the energies often exact, within a couple of days.  If transiting Uranus is making the aspect in the natal chart, this might be enough to determine when things will happen, but Uranus is very unpredictable and what might take place can be very difficult to pinpoint.  With Uranus you have to expect the unexpected.

 

These timing factors can often help determine the potential timeline within a one month period.  These timing planets can help define when things will happen.  The transit itself when separating (exact separation) from the natal point in question will also define how long the energies are active.  The energies will begin to subside after the exact degree aspect (with a square for example exactly 90 degrees) begins to separate.

 

With the proper delineation of a chart, Astrology can definitely point the way, although we as individuals control our attitude towards any event and this will defines how the energies of that event will affect us.

FULL MOON MARCH 28,2021

On March 28, 2021, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Libra.  Libra is the sign of balancing and the need for harmony and fairness in all situations. 

 

This Full Moon is at 8 degrees and is in opposition to transiting Venus which is at 7/8 degrees of Aries.  Venus is the ruling planet of Libra as well as Taurus.  Venus often has to do with relationships and expressions of love and affection.  When in opposition to the Full Moon’s placement, this often indicates challenging conditions and in many cases issues that stem from the other or another person involved. 

 

The Full Moon is known best as the time to harvest our efforts.  It is indicative of the culmination of events.  This Full Moon aspect might indicate that this difficult situation has been in place for some time and is now reaching its final stages.  If this is a relationship of significance (because Venus is in the sign of Aries) this often indicates that the energies have to do with personal issues.  Sometimes sex is part of the equations especially if natal Mars is involved in the equation.  Transiting Mars will be making a square to this position in early May.

 

Mars is often used as a timer and can also suggest that arguments or in some rare cases violence or aggressive action is stimulated.  However, having this Full Moon in the sign of Libra also suggests that the need for a favorable outcome which is not only fair but just.  “Pleasing” should also likely be part of the situation.  Much will depend on the placements of these positions in the natal chart as the houses represent areas of life being affected at this time.

 

Venus and Libra can work as one although often stimulated from outside forces to bring some kind of peaceful solution which is satisfying to those involved, if this is possible.  This once again can be ascertained by aspects from other transits to natal positions as well as progressions in place. 

 

Love and affection and potentially financial conditions can be part of what is in place; and although Libra really wants peace at almost any cost, you will need to take into consideration how this pans out for you in personal terms as well.  Libra really wants to please.

 

Natal squares and oppositions to the Lunar position at 8 degrees Libra often indicates some struggles; however, often, especially with the square, the energies are challenging enough that we will work hard to find solutions.  Oppositions often speak of issues stemming from outside sources.  Trines and sextiles can help the situation and promote easy flow and opportunities to resolve any issues that might be related to this position.  If the overall chart speaks of promising situations then the relationship if this is what this speaks of can reach new heights and flourish under these conditions.  There will, however, be issues that need to be resolved before moving ahead.

TRANSITING URANUS CONJUNCT NATAL MOON

Before we go into the definition of this aspect, it is important that you review the placement of Transiting Uranus as well as where the Moon is placed in your own personal natal chart.  These will be the areas of life that are affected by this transit.  The conjunction does not have to have negative effects if there are positive aspects between these two bodies in the natal chart, or if the Moon is very well aspected in the birth chart. 

 

The transit between the Moon and Uranus does suggest some change on an emotional level that can be quite disruptive, particularly if you have been following a ridged emotional pattern where you have not allowed your emotions to be released or expressed.  Any restrictive behaviour in terms of how you have been handling life from an emotional perspective is now subject to reckless and possible impulsive behaviour.  Your mood can vary considerably under this transit and you might find your emotions very hard to control.

 

Incidents involving women, particularly your Mother, can come under attack during this aspect.  Things intensify and your relationship may go through some struggles, or changes may come suddenly out of nowhere.  Sometimes you are the one orchestrating these behaviours, and other times it may stem from others.  This can involve women in general. 

 

In the case of men with this conjunction, they may find that they are attracted to women that may be eccentric or original in their behaviour.  Sometimes these women come into your life to help you move forward in ways that you may have been stagnating with before this time.  Other times they are just disruptive and cause trouble to the normal routine, although things may have felt rather dull before this conjunction.  Life will certainly not feel that way under this influence.

 

The Moon has to do with your emotional response and your emotional needs.  If you are supported in your life and you have been nurtured especially when you were young, your emotional expression would relay this to the outside world.  You may be nurturing yourself and want to look after others and play a mothering role or be a nurturer for them. 

 

If, however, your emotional upbringing was anything but smooth, you may have difficulties expressing your more sensitive side, especially if you have other factors in your chart suggesting this, such as strong Capricorn tendencies.  Things may change during this transit and you may have to deal with either being taken advantage of, or you may not respond well in emotional ways.  Change is what Uranus’ energies are about--required change and also freedom of expression.  If these have been hindered, this may be the time for such things to be reviewed and changed.

 

The Moon also has to do with your domestic life.  This could include your actual home or if you own property, your real estate might be subject to change such as a move or making changes within the home’s environment.  Some look for cottage property and some just do some remodeling to make their environment more comfortable. 

 

Watch for being too impulsive at this time.  Above all else, this is a time to truly get in touch with your feelings when Transiting Uranus is conjunct you natal moon.

OUR THOUGHTS

In your highest form, you are spirit encapsulated in an earthly physical existence, temporarily.  You have the ability to transform your reaction to life in any way you choose.  The plan is in place, how will you react to it?

TWELVE YEAR JUPITER RETURN

Transiting Jupiter has a return cycle of 12 years at which time it returns to its natal position in the Natal Chart.  Each planet has a return cycle and you can draw up a chart for that particular moment in time when each planet comes back to its original position in the Astrology Chart. 

 

A return chart should be read similarly to that of a natal chart but think in terms of the energies of the planet involved. 

 

You can delineate the Jupiter return every twelve years (approximately) by looking into the planet’s placement in the birth chart and then correlate it exactly to the same degree and minute to the time while in transit to the same degrees and minute in the birth chart.

 

The house position will be the area of life that bring opportunities, hope, good luck and expansion.  Jupiter brings with it an optimistic approach to the areas of life dictated by the house position.  This will be an area of growth and expansion and the opportunities for growth in finances, potential good fortune in personal ways and in the occupation are possible.  Once again this is all reflective of the house position of Jupiter as well as the aspects Jupiter makes within the birth chart and also the transits it will be receiving during this period.

 

Jupiter nearly always promotes growth in some fashion or another; the only problem might be if it is in aspect to Saturn.  Jupiter pushes for expansion, optimism and good luck, while Saturn pushes for structure, discipline and is often associated with delays and shortfalls especially if not enough preparation has been taken.

 

There can be expansion problems especially if Jupiter is found in the first house, as weight gain is possible, over-optimism and grand expectations can sometimes lead to less than expected results. 

 

Make sure you also have a look at the house Jupiter rules in the birth chart.  The house with Sagittarius on the cusp will also promote all the things that Jupiter offers. 

 

It is important that you use the energies properly during this cycle as this does not happen often and the general feeling of good fortune can make you sit idle and do nothing with the energies at hand.  Use this time to build for the future, but also enjoy it while it is in effect. 

 

If Jupiter moves into retrograde during the return and crosses its natal position several times, these energies will last longer and will enhance opportunities each time it crosses this particular point.  There are usually three contacts if this retrograde cycle affects your chart.  The first one is usually the most powerful. 

 

Take advantage of the offerings during this return period, regardless of whether or not Jupiter goes retrograde.
