FULL MOON IN ARIES

On September 29, 2023, we will experience an Aries Full Moon at 6° (First decant).

 

A full moon is the harvest time of our efforts from seeds plants some six months earlier under the energies of the New Moon in Aries. For those that are affected by this Full Moon, the efforts they expended will be reflected in the fruits of their labor.

 

The sign Aries is often associated with a new beginning and with this New Moon/Full Moon energies what you initiated is likely something very personal in nature. It may have been something that you started with or without the help of others and it has your personal stamp on it. You may have started a business or initiated something that had been sitting on the backburner. Perhaps you began a love relationship that is now maturing and either moves to the next level or ends.

 

There are other energies involved. Transiting planets Venus and Uranus are square to one another often indicating some type of change taking hold in the area of relationships or your finances. There must be indicators in your natal chart before this applies to you. If there are, you can expect the unexpected and it might happen in an erratic and unusual manner.

 

There are no other transiting planetary energies attached to the location of the Full Moon at 6° Aries, but your natal chart might say otherwise.

 

Aries is about taking the initiative and forging ahead with or without much planning. What you do or how you move forward might be considered by some as ego oriented or self-consuming. Your actions, however, must suit your objectives first and then have their outward expression. There is a degree of “What do I need?” in this Full Moon in Aries and you must come first. It is time to think about what is best for you and how you can go about making changes or following through with whatever will benefit your goals.

 

The house positioning and aspects from the natal chart to this placement will tell the story and those that are affected by this placement will realize that what they plan and work towards has potential to come to fruition.

LIBRA FORECAST CONTINUED

We continue our look at aspects affecting Sun in Libra readers. See our previous post on Monday for more forecasting www.holmastrology.com/post/libra-forecast

 

Neptune and Jupiter are both currently (September 2023) in retrograde suggesting that they are not operating to their full potential. Neptune can make things feel unclear while Jupiter can influence you into thinking you could make anything happen. There are many more outlets for these energies, but it is safe to say that when they turn direct (December 2023) things will be clearer, more concise, and you will look at your objectives in a more reasonable light without overexaggerating the potential. The areas of life involved in these equations will be marked by their house positions and the house position of the Sun for those with their Sun in Libra.

 

The quincunx aspect is a 150° angle between two placements in your chart. You can allow an orb of 5° to see if these placements affect your Sun. A quincunx also known as the inconjunct is a challenging aspect which speaks of adjustments that need to be put in place. Once these adjustments have taken hold, things will flow more smoothly. As time passes you will recognize that the changes were essential to your goals and aspirations.

 

The Sun represents who we are and is connected to our path in life along with other indicators in the natal chart. The Sun speaks of inner personality and objectives available to us which we can either act upon or pass by. The Sun is our essential self and indicates our mission and who we are in personal terms. Not everyone sees certain Sun sign energies but with Libra, we are seen as someone who is seeking equilibrium, calm and also wanting fairness and justice to prevail. Sun in quincunx to Neptune often suggests that things are not as clear as they could be although when this placement of Neptune moves into direct motions (in many cases and depending on the rest of the chart), things often clear up. This can relate to relationships, goals, occupation, plans and the general direction of life and in some cases in mystical or religious terms. Again, review the house placements.

 

Jupiter tends to expand on situations, and growth is often apparent even when it is in retrograde (not as prevalent as when in its direct motion). Jupiter often brings good luck, an ease in obtaining benefits and opportunities to advance. When not operating in optimal ways Jupiter can create feelings that nothing can go wrong. Even when we make mistakes we may feel that we did not do anything wrong, and that things will eventually turn out better. In many cases this is still true but for now make your objectives practical.

A WINNING HAND

Are you playing all your (life) cards?

 

Will you play this round with the best of intensions and with a winning attitude?

 

Life is not like a card game; however, we do have to play with what we have in front of us. It is better when we understand the process and when to move ahead and when to stand back. As Kenny Rogers sang, “We have to know when to hold them and know when to fold them”. There is a strategy to life, just as there is in a game of cards. It can take time to move ahead and we learn from previous plays or in real terms from previous decisions.

 

As in a game of cards, life will throw us twists and turns and sometimes we can make things work and other times we just must accept that this is just the way things are. Attitude as mentioned countless times before is a big part in the process and we can fight the inevitable and feel frustrated or we can change our attitude and life then seems more promising.

 

Some individuals seem to be dealt a winning hand while others have many struggles along their life’s path. Do not compare your journey to others’ journeys. You only know what you see and there is much more to someone’s life than what is on the surface. Focus on your life and ask yourself, “what can I do to make things easier or better” and more importantly “what did I learn from this experience?” There are always lessons. Be ready to learn.

 

Accept your life in the moment and be open to something favorable coming your way. Formulate an action plan that will build momentum in your favor as you move along. You can expect delays and shortcomings, but you can also expect rewards and benefits you may never had dream of.

 

We can only play the cards we are dealt. What can you do to make the best of what you have in the moment? Tomorrow is another day; it is always a whole new story.

 

Remember your perception has a big influence on how you feel. If it is less than ideal, make alterations to your expectation and your focus.

 

Life might not seem as though it is in your hands but you have full control of your attitude and focus.

 

You do have a winning hand!

LIBRA FORECAST

As mentioned in our post September 20, the Sun moved into the Cardinal, Air sign of Libra on September 23, 2023.  See our posts at www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-libra-september-23-2023  Here is our Libra forecast (transits) for 2023

 

With transiting Uranus remaining in the sign of Taurus reaching its lowest point of 19° towards the end of 2023 and into 2024, those with their Libra Sun within orb of these degrees will experience a quincunx. The quincunx can be a bit of a challenging aspect as it speaks of the need for adjusting their life’s circumstances. This can relate to relationships or goals in life, and it may not be an easy alteration. Uranus acts in unexpected manners although it does provide a degree of warning of what needs to be done.

 

Uranus’ action is swift and can be erratic although the changes will be what is required at the time and the need for change has likely been in place for some time.

 

There is also an upcoming Solar Eclipse at 21° Libra which will certainly touch those within a 3° approach to this degree with their Sun or other placements of planets and angles within their chart. (We will be discussing the importance of this upcoming event in a future post).

 

Jupiter is also in early degrees of Taurus having an influence on what unfolds in the quincunx. T Neptune will play its part as well being in the final stages of Pisces also making a quincunx to those with their Sun in these degrees.

 

In general, this upcoming period certainly suggests that adjustments are necessary for those with important connections related to these positionings.

AUTUMNAL OR FALL EQUINOX

September 23, 2023, we (north of the equator) will experience the Autumnal or Fall Equinox at 02:50 a.m. EDT.

 

The Fall equinox (Mabon) acknowledges and celebrates the rewards of our hard labour and the gathering of our harvest. The Fall equinox is a time of reflection on the harvest of our achievements and often considered a time of change. It is linked to the astrological sign of Libra which above all else is a sign that requires balance. Our current balance requirement is knowing what we need to hold on to and what we need to let go of.

 

Now is the time to reap the rewards of our labour but if we have not sown the seeds of life in the manner we should have, we may have to sacrifice because of the shortfalls and count our losses.

 

Astrologically, the Fall equinox represents finding a balance within our self-image and within any disapproval that is found in our view of self. How can you change that disapproval to approval?

 

This is a time to review our life’s goals and the conquests we have made. This review will assist us in recognizing our abilities and true selves.

 

The spring and fall equinox are known as cardinal points. The cardinal points in the horoscope are known as action points. They are used as timing devices and lead to activity, drive, ambition, and involvement. The fall equinox is the end or culmination point of whatever action you have already taken similar to the Full Moon’s energies. It is a time to actively pursue a course of action, to take control of your life and push forward in the direction of your choice. Cardinal signs are action oriented and strive for activity that is often personally initiated. Do not wait for or rely on others to make things happen.

 

This will be the time to push ahead with the harvest of your efforts or count your losses and set new things in motion. Use the energies of the equinox to push forward and make the changes you need. SUN IN LIBRA ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2023

The Sun moves from the Mutable, Earth sign of Virgo into the Cardinal, Air sign of Libra on September 23, 2023. Those individuals with strong Libra characteristics (planets in Libra or located in the 7^th house) have a desire to accomplish and advance their objectives as well as a desire for balance, harmony, fairness and justice.

 

Librans need peace and harmony in life and go to great measures to accomplish this, not only in their life but also in the lives of those around them. This applies particularly to relationships of significance. “Peace at almost any cost” could be their mantra, and they are known for sitting on the fence when it comes to disputes. Although they have their personal views on what is right, they will sway from one side to the other just to keep the peace.

LIFE’S TEACHINGS (Lessons)

We have all heard the old saying that the hard lessons are the ones we remember. During the smooth times it seems there are few lessons to learn but why is this so?

 

Do we just float through the good times without recognizing they are blessings?

 

Can we learn from our positive experiences or does life have to be challenging for us to recognize our lessons?

 

If we realize how fortunate we are and appreciate our life’s experience (challenging or not), lessons are still being taught. We know the value of appreciation. We recognize the abundance that flows from these periods and are grateful. This too is a valuable lessons and teaches us to appreciate what life sends our way.

 

Let’s give the same amount of focus to these easy flow periods as we do to our challenging periods.

 

In knowing and understanding that the flow of life does change with the amount of focus we give to certain events in our lives, it is important to pay closer attention to what we refer to as “good times”.

TRANSITING JUPITER TRINE NATAL JUPITER

Jupiter is known as the greater benefic, and Venus is known as the lessor benefic. These are planets that bring good fortune, opportunities, good luck, favorable conditions, and the barer of overall better life situations. Jupiter brings growth, expansion, valued lessons, learned experiences and can also bring good health. This all depends on the houses involved and the overall condition of Natal Jupiter in the natal chart.

 

When Transiting Jupiter makes a trine to your N Jupiter (especially when it goes retrograde and direct passing over the same degree) Jupiter can improve conditions, bring favorable outcomes and challenge any issue that is current. This is a very favorable placement of Jupiter. Take full advantage of these energies to create the greatest benefit.

 

E.g. if T Jupiter is making a conjunction to your midheaven and also making a trine to its natal position in the sixth house, this would be an opportunistic period to move ahead with your career objectives. You may find that your goals reach a culmination point and that recognition in the workplace is obtained. You may go for a raise or move up the corporate ladder. The opportunities are endless, especially if the rest of your chart also implies the same.

 

This could also apply if T Jupiter were in the second house making a trine to its natal position in the sixth house, creating a Grand Trine with your Midheaven also making a trine to this position. This would imply that your finances have the potential to increase, or you feel very secure which in turn could affect your overall health because of the changes taking place within the workplace. Perhaps stress has been removed and your duties and co-workers seem to work well together.

 

One final potential position: T Jupiter is now in the seventh house making a trine to your N Jupiter in the third. This may imply that your relationship moves to a different level. Perhaps there are indicators of marriage or serious commitment. On the other hand you have started a business with someone and now through well thought out communication you have an idea that might perform well within this business relationship. If you also have a favorable aspect from the ninth house in the same element (earth, air, fire, or water) then perhaps litigation is now constructively working for you. Any court proceedings have the potential to work in your favor.

 

If T Jupiter moves into retrograde passing over this degree again, the timing of these events can last much longer especially when T Jupiter is moving over the degree while in direct motion. The first contact is usually the strongest.

IT IS AN ONGOING PROCESS

Life’s learning process is extensive and ongoing; it is a continuous process.

 

We may not be aware of the learning potential within our everyday experience. Nonetheless, opportunities are present even in the relatively simple, mundane routines and at other times, are obviously present in the over-amplified lessons. Learning is not always an easy process, and it seems that the more difficult the challenge the greater the lesson.

 

We always have options along the way. Either we accept and learn or we fight the process, place blame and struggle because of these practices.

 

We may build on life experiences with an attitude that substitutes anger and guilt for acceptance and knowledge. We take responsibility for our life and recognize that these challenges are our stepping-stones to growth.

 

It may not appear that way as we move through rapids of grief and torrents of pain, but over time these rapids relax into meandering streams of acceptance. Acceptance can become our life raft of strength, and we are able to endure any storm that comes our way.

 

We are here to explore the ebbs and flows of life’s lessons that need to be confronted and learned. Go with the flow when it is a requirement. Change when change is essential. Fight the fight if that is what is required and walk your road knowing that all obstacles will be met head on and conquered.

NEW MOON SEPTEMBER 14, 2023

On September 14, we will experience a Virgo New Moon @ 21° (which falls in the 3^rd decant of Virgo incorporating Taurus energies with the Virgo tendencies). Transiting Uranus, the planet of change and awakening, is also part of this configuration making a close trine to this position.

 

Virgo is a mutable earth sign so this period has the potential of not only change suggested by T Uranus but also a degree of adaptability to the change. The energies/goals set at this time should reach fruition in about 6 months when we have our Full Moon in Virgo.

 

This New Moon should enhance near perfection to careful planning and goals. Remember it will take time to manifest. Organization and a steady approach is what is recommended and if you are not comfortable with a less than perfect product or result, realize that perfection is not always attainable. Do not allow setbacks or worry to stop you from working towards your objectives.

 

Careful planning is the focus here and perhaps it has to do with investments on some level where financial interchange is part of the picture. Perhaps something unexpected takes place during this influence which helps the situation. On some level you can expect the unexpected to assist in some manner. A somewhat sudden interaction is possible with the energies of Uranus taking part in this situation. Perhaps a realization or awakening of sorts takes place in a positive way. The trine from Uranus opens doors that might otherwise have been closed and eliminates whatever now no longer serves a real purpose. (Remember this influence has to be connected in your chart to have a major influence)

 

This is a positive time for those that are affected by this New Moon’s placement. Look for either your Sun being within 3° to making a conjunction to this placement or if you have other angles or planets in close proximity to this placement adding their influence.

LET GO OF WHAT NO LONGER SERVES YOU

Holding on to what used to be and knowing that it no longer suits your way forward, serves little purpose.

 

Perhaps you need to make changes. Perhaps the way you interact with your surroundings no longer suits your life. Perhaps you need to break free from old habits. Perhaps the true you need to be brought to the surface or you need to re-evaluated your goals.

 

Some may feel they need to change their surroundings and make a physical relocation.

 

Are you running away from something?

 

Most times issues follow us in life to ensure that we make a personal change, an inner change. Facing issues is always a prerequisite to resolution.

 

If real change is a requirement, it is time to face this requirement. Perhaps unworthiness has kept you from moving forward or perhaps the fear of the unknown is what is holding you back.

 

Do not let self-value and/or fear stand in the way of peace or growth. We all deserve peace and growth. Move ahead knowing that at some point in the future it will all make sense. It may be the most difficult thing you have done in your life but when something requires change and you are certain of it and you have honestly done all you can in the current situation, it might be time to cut ties with whatever it is that is holding you back.

TRANSITING JUPITER TRINE NATAL NORTH NODE

When transiting Jupiter is making a trine to your natal North Node (NN), it is also making a sextile to your natal South Node (SN). This is a favorable period especially for those that have been experiencing the feeling of being lost or off track for finding your path is very plausible under this influence. Growth on an existential level is not only possible but probable.

 

Jupiter is the planet of good fortune, growth and expansion and brings with it the potential for opportunities to come your way. Jupiter does not always promise this but when in trine, it has the greatest potential to unleash its assistance in ways that are not common. Trines work in a favorable manner and create easy flow where potential is budding.

 

The NN in Astrology often suggests someone helping you to move ahead. The NN is our way forward in this life and the path we are meant to take. In many cases the destined road is not always a comfortable one since we have never been there before. This is not to say that it is overly challenging, only that it is unfamiliar, but one that we are meant to walk.

 

This timing of Jupiter meeting our NN suggests that the door may open and offer insight into what probabilities lie ahead. It can manifest in many ways depending on the houses involved (areas of life). We can readily move in the intended direction simply by putting one foot ahead of the other. We may know instinctively where to go or what to do. Now it is in our favor to address the situation and forge ahead, constructively moving in the right direction.

 

There is also an opportunity created by the sextile to the SN which suggests that we can successfully move out of conditions that no longer suit our evolutionary growth or that stagnate us and hold us back. The SN represents where we came from, and it feels comfortable but is not where we are now supposed to be now.

 

Looking at these nodes from an evolutionary perspective with spiritual insight. The NN is the road we have chosen to follow in this incarnation while the SN stems from a prior significant incarnation which can help us move ahead to further our requirement by delving into the NN potential. Although the SN is comfortable it is not where we are now meant to be.

TRANSITING JUPITER TRINE NATAL URANUS

Jupiter takes approximately 12 years to make a full circle of the Zodiac (about one year through each sign). Uranus takes 84 years to transit the Zodiac. If it goes into retrograde it can remain in contact with a planet for a longer period therefore have more effect on the area of life indicated by the house position and the planet or angle involved.

 

The trine aspect (120°) is considered the most favorable aspect in Astrology. It is the aspect we wait for. Although the trine does suggest easy flow of opportunities, general good luck, the fulfillment of potentials and an overall feeling that life is moving along nicely, it often needs a push from us to become more beneficial. Things may seem so comfortable that we may wonder why we should bother to do anything as benefits will happen for us anyway. It may feel this way, but we may be squandering the energies if we do not put forth effort.

 

Keeping this in mind and knowing that the energy of Jupiter brings good luck, expansion and opportunities and that Uranus brings with it change of direction and the unexpected, perhaps we need to look deeper at what we might want to accomplish at this important time in our lives. Two houses will now be activated, the house where T Jupiter is passing through and the house where N Uranus resides in the birth chart. In general Jupiter will promote growth and expansion, bringing good fortune and a general feeling of good luck in matters related to the house that it transits through. Much will depend however on the aspects it makes to other planets.

 

The Natal placement of Uranus and its aspects to other natal planets and angles play a big role in how this transit of Jupiter will develop. A challenged Uranus will not bring forth the potential that a favorably aspected Uranus will bring, at least not without some struggle and work on our part. Because of the benevolent energies attached to Jupiter, the potential for growth in some manner is still likely to be brought forth even if N Uranus is poorly aspected.

 

You can expect a change of direction, a new outlook, an awakening of sorts and the potential for ridding yourself of outgrown influences. You now can move forward and make the necessary changes that will foster in the new as time passes, bringing you ever closer to where you need to be. Use these energies wisely. Don’t sit back as this opportunity may not come again for some time.

TRANSITING URANUS SQUARE NATAL SATURN

Transiting Uranus moves slowly through the Zodiac staying in one sign for approximately 7 years. It takes a cycle of 84 years for Uranus to come back to its original position in your natal chart.

 

Saturn on the other hand takes about 2 ½ year to move through a sign and 29 years to complete its cycle around the Zodiac.

 

While Uranus is in transit it will impact all the positions of our natal planets and the house cusps and angles. Its energies usually instigate sudden and unexpected change. If we do not act on what needs work, it often pushes for this to happen. It is known as the awakener and does just that. Anything that no longer suits our evolutionary growth is subject to change and disruption.

 

Uranus is like an electronic impulse stirring us and pushing us in new directions. When associated with Saturn, which is quite unlike Uranus, the impulse is to change direction but Saturn does not like this type of influence. Saturn is happy if things stay the same and are steadfast, reliable and secure. Saturn fights change and does not like disruption to what it comfortable and stable. As you can imagine even without considering the square aspect, which is one of challenge and disruption, these two energies do not sit well with each other.

 

The square between these two giants in Astrology creates tension, pushes for resolution and defies anyone that refuses to adapt and adjust. The square is challenging enough that it often pushes us into action so we will resolve the issues at hand. These push us into action and although the square is considered a difficult and challenging aspect to deal with because of the need for resolution it can also be considered an action aspect that helps us resolve issues.

 

During this time Uranus wants us to take leaps of faith and move in a new direction. Saturn likes things the way they are, and resists change even though it might recognize that change is what is required at this point. This could be a relationship that no longer suits your evolution. It could be a change in occupation or a massive change in life’s direction. Often at around the age 42 when we are undergoing the Uranus opposition, people make dynamic changes of direction that many do not see coming.

 

It is best to have a clear look at what life is trying to tell you. Sometimes change is what is required even when it may be worrisome and you do not know what lies ahead. However, after careful consideration you might want to make some changes and time will tell where they will take you. Uranus often brings us right where we belong, but the change is not always an easy one. It might be time to break away from anything that feels restrictive.

THE FREEDOM ASPECT

They say we have freedom of choice. We have the freedom to believe in and to follow whatever we choose. Therefore, we also have the right to decide on what not to believe and what not to follow.

 

We can follow whatever path we choose, including any train of thought.

 

Go deep within and pay particular attention to what makes you nervous, anxious and/or creates fear and stress. Although life events do twist our perception at times, we are still the ones who choose which thoughts and beliefs that we follow. We DO have this control.

 

There is a great difference between knowing something is factual and believing that something is factual. Learn the difference and don’t believe everything that you see (this can be deceiving), hear or have learned. People share information (mostly with good intensions) but there is so much misinformation. We must rely on common sense. Because the majority of people believe or the general consensus says it is true, does not make it so. When you hear or learn something, what is your gut reaction?

 

Our inner feedback can be very reliable and then we can do your due diligence. Don’t believe all that is presented to you.

 

Ask yourself, “How am I reacting to what I am hearing or reading?”

 

Life’s focus and the mind’s interaction build reality over time. Does what you are focusing on or listening to leads to peace and happiness?

 

In many cases what we know is half the truth and has been altered and exaggerated so much that now it holds only portions of truth. Exaggerated news draws in readers/listeners which in turn can bring, for example, monetary gain. Exaggeration can push people to support personal stances that may be biased or create a feeling of control.

 

You have the right to choose which road you to follow. Keep in mind that where you place your focus simply magnifies more of the same. Ask yourself, “if I understand the practice of the mind’s focus why do I hold onto or run with issues or concepts that make me feel uncomfortable, stressed or fearful?”

 

Change what you can. Accept what you must. Engulf yourself with all that makes you feel peaceful and filled with gratitude. Make your choices wisely.
