FIND RESOLUTION

Are you caught up in doom and gloom? 

 

Do you want to stay where your mind is living (your focus)?

 

Many people have mentioned they feel lost and overwhelmed due to outside sources.  Many are overwhelmed by the current financial environment of uncertainty.

 

Everyone faces hurdles, some obvious, some not so obvious.  Life holds many experiences.

 

We have options available to us to relieve the challenges of everyday life.  All things in life are temporary. Absolutely nothing is permanent. Change is guaranteed.  We must learn to act when we can and accept when change is out of our hands.

 

The most important act we can take is to examine our focus or attitude towards any given event.  We have talked about this many times, but it is so important, we MUST repeat it!  If you are dealing with something causing anxiety and worry, you have to step back and look at it from a clear, unemotional perspective.  What can you change, especially, how can you change your attitude towards this life lesson?

 

It is not an easy task to shift our thoughts and expectations, but we are all capable of making the adjustments necessary to ease the tensions being felt.

 

Shift your focus to the great things in your life, whatever they may be (no matter how big or how small).  Release your focus on what is missing; focus on gratitude.  Don’t ignore the life lesson as the lesson is there to be learned.  If we ignore it, it will only heighten the circumstances as we cannot escape these lessons. We can’t hide our heads in the sand.  We must face the situation head on dealing with it in a constructive manner and not get caught up in believing that it will not go away or that we cannot fix the problem.

 

If we see the positive, we feel the positive.  If we focus on negativity, all we experience is negativity.  It takes work.  We are not suggesting that this will come easy, but refocusing is similar to a muscle.  Keep exercising it and watch is strengthen.  Be persistent.  Do not give up or give in.  Be determined! Dig in your heels! 

 

It has taken years to develop your attitude, it will take effort to change it.  You can do this!

 

Find resolution by looking within first.  Is your attitude your greatest source of anxiety? Life lessons will happen but your response to them creates the experience.  Do not react; respond intentionally.  Practice, practice, practice!

REVIEW LAST YEAR’S ACHIEVEMENTS

Our achievements or lack thereof are based on our personal definition of achievement. To one person, the very act of taking the first step towards a goal is achievement and to another person, achievement is crossing the finish line of their goals.

 

We must prioritize our goals.  You must first ask yourself how important each goal is to you.  How much effort are you willing to put into each goal?

 

When we reflect on our achievements, bear in mind their priority to you. A half-hearted effort will achieve a less than perfect outcome.  If you gave it a half-hearted effort, it cannot have been that high on your priority list.

 

If you achieved what you set out to do, congratulations on your effort. It is important to give yourself recognition for your effort.  If you fell short of what you wanted to accomplish, examine why. If it is important, set a new plan for yourself to achieve this goal.  If it is not very important, maybe it’s time to let it go and move on. 

 

Internal dialogue is extremely important. Do not allow yourself to wallow in self-pity if you fall short.  Your approach to life should always be positive but also realistic.  If you fell short, ask yourself what you learned.  If you accomplished what you set out to do, reflect on your plans and efforts used and be proud as you would have had to work hard to make this happen.

 

In most cases, it’s best to work on yourself first (on your attitude and your own personal belief structures).  You can’t accomplish if you believe from the beginning that you will fail. 

 

Set some goals for yourself for this year.  Make them realistic.  Reach for something that you know is attainable, something that is worthwhile. Believe that you can do this.  Focus on one step at a time. Commit to following through no matter what obstacles you might face. 

 

It’s important to review last year’s achievements and how you got there to set yourself up for a new year of success.  Believe in yourself and take that first step.

SOCIAL CONDITIONING

We are taught throughout our life, but especially at an early age, how to behave.  We learn primarily from our parents or primary care givers and gain more insight as we begin to mature into ourselves, which takes a lifetime.  We learn how to adapt to life’s situations often taught through experience.  We learn how to manage or overcome adversity.  We learn about love and affection, hopefully beginning at an early age with our parents and once we have learned to love ourselves, we learn how to share our love with those around us.

 

We become conditioned to react or respond depending on our upbringing and self-study.

 

We can be dictated to by our peers and others.  We may sometimes wonder if we are just puppets interacting the way we should without our consent.  Are we supposed to behave this way or that way, or is this just what we have become accustomed to doing? 

 

We may follow advice but, in many cases, the best advice comes from within, that little voice within which we all hear but not often listen to.

 

We are not suggesting that we fight the advice we are given, but as adults, we should now be in a state of knowing of what is right and wrong. We can make up our own minds without the chatter from others.  Authority figures are not always right, but they are worth listening to if they are teaching from experience.  Many have had years of experience and can guide us in the appropriate direction.  Ultimately, however, the final decision is ours personally.

 

Do we follow along blindly or make our own decisions. If we fall, we can always get back on our feet and learn from the experience.  These are the greatest life lessons.

 

In reality, we walk our own road, follow our own personal path, make our own decisions regardless of what other people have pushed on us. It is always up to us to make that final decision if we have the maturity to stop and question.

 

Life is the learning tool that we all share. We do not walk this road alone, although as mentioned we walk our own road.  We should listen and then contemplate our own decisions (eliminating reaction) no matter what our social conditioning.  Follow your hearts and the advice that echoes within. 

 

Enjoy the passage, learn from life and all its teachings, share your knowledge with those that want to listen and live the life that suits your journey.

LEADERSHIP

What makes for good leadership? 

 

Are personality, looks, education, experience, and/or respect important qualities for a leader?

 

The qualities of a leader are varying in importance by each person you ask. Two repeated qualities are “reliability”, and “honesty”. 

 

We need to count on our leaders, in whatever role they play, to provide us with truth and to stand by their commitments under all conditions. 

 

We do not necessarily have to like a leader’s personality although it certainly helps. 

 

In my opinion, any leader should have compassion, be understanding, have patience and listen to advice.  An open mind allows for growth.

 

Are Looks and styles important?  They shouldn’t be.

 

Does a leader need to be respected and admired?  Admiration is not required but respect is crucial.

 

Are there many leaders that fit this criteria? 

 

There are varying levels of leadership. It is hard to generalize an answer. There are those that rise to the top and receive respect which they have earned through their actions.  Those respected leaders have the good of those they lead in mind whatever the leading role may be

.

Are you a leader of a family team, work team, social group, provincial/state, or more? How are your leadership abilities?

 

A good leader listens before making decisions to ensure the best outcome for all involved. Their decisions can have profound effects.  What does good leadership mean to you?

SHIFTING WITH THE WIND

The winds of change affect us all.  There are times when we can manipulate the way life is wanting to move us and then there are times when we just have to go with the flow.  One thing is for certain, when the winds of change come, it is time for a shift. 

 

Change can come suddenly or provide us with warnings.  Often, if we are provided with intuitive warning, we can prepare for these changes.  Our current way of life and the familiar routine may no longer suit our soul’s requirements. We may fight the process but over time we recognize that the changes are in fact required.

 

These changes can be internal, external, involve others, or be very personal.  Change can have several different faces, but when it’s time, it’s time! 

 

Do not hold on to the old, outdated ways.  You cannot move forward to the next rung of life if you refuse to let go of the current one you are holding. If you know what must be done, go ahead and do it.  With or without your consent, life will move you in the direction required.  “Allowing” makes that transition much easier and likely much faster.

 

If life is hard right now, know that this too will change. Learn the lesson being taught and allow.

 

Change is guaranteed.  Growth is a requirement. Resistance creates harder lessons. Keep shifting with the wind of change as required.

WINTER SOLSTICE

The Winter Solstice (Hibernal Solstice) takes place on Sunday, December 21, 2025, 10:02 a.m. EST in the northern hemisphere. December 21 will have the least amount of daylight as the sun will be at its lowest arc in the sky for the northern hemisphere.

 

Shortly after December 21, our precious sunlight will begin to increase again (only by seconds in the beginning.  The additional light will be more noticeable in the evenings.)

 

As much of nature sleeps and the light is limited, we can use the long nights to reflect on our life’s journey. Go inward and plan your intentions for when the energy and the light return.

 

Follow Mother Nature example as she knows best. Many animals are now hibernating or slowing down, resting and waiting for the return of light, for the return of warmth, the return of the energy that nurtures us mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

 

Our obvious current lesson is patience. Utilize this time wisely.  You can use it to look deep into your shadow self. Bring light to the darkest corners of your being but do not judge what you find. Fill each corner with love and allow spirit to grow.

 

Is it coincidence that during Yule season (the rebirth of light), Christians celebrate the birth of Christ for example (the rebirth of salvation)? This is a time of celebration for many, whether it is Yule, Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, Bodhi Day, Saturnalia, and the list goes on.

 

We have much to celebrate. Be filled with promise, with faith in all that is. Be filled with gratitude, with love and with inner healing light! Winter Solstice blessings.

SATURN SQUARE NATAL NEPTUNE

The Square between Transiting Saturn and Natal Neptune can directly affect your life especially if you have these two planetary energies closely aligned in your natal chart.  Even those that do not have this aspect tight in their birth charts will feel the subliminal effects of the Neptunian energies of spirituality and the alignment with the higher sources linked with Saturn (the task-maker and builder) along with the lower energies of Saturn, (the disciplinarian, and often source of delayed action and challenges).

 

As you can imagine, these two planets together have struggles aligning their energies.  Saturn has to do with reality and focusing on energies in constructive earth-type activities.  Neptune deals with the less tangible and works in direct correlation with spirituality, intuition, psychic inclinations and the imaginative side of life.

 

Neptune suggests that there will be higher ideals set in place specifically indicated by Neptune’s Natal position and house placement.

 

Saturn suggests that the core foundation must be built on stable ground if any of these Neptunian high-minded ideologies are to be fundamentally sound and have any lasting qualities.  This could be classified as a testing ground for reality and the rational mind which is being established through spiritual alignment and the mystical approach in a solid structured way of living.

 

Saturn brings clarity to our maze of heightened awareness often associated with Neptune.  Although this aspect is a square, the potential, after some hard work, for more clarity is quite profound, if you approach mysticism in a realistic and orderly fashion.  You must adhere to ways that hold Neptune in sync with Saturn’s need for unobstructed and clear vision.  In other words, do not let your mind drift towards directions of deception or cloudiness and maintain a firm grip on reality. If you do so, you can realize factual and tangible results from intuitive insight.  You can recognize truth if you take a real and honest approach.

 

Although your objectives may be a little unclear and it may be very challenging to deal with everyday affairs, let alone mystical pursuits, if the groundwork is in place much can be discovered and put into practice once this aspect has been conquered.  Make your life as simple as possible and stay true to your beliefs even though they may seem challenged from time to time.  Seek out the connectedness in all that surrounds you and challenge the “life of form” and any limited concrete belief structures that you have put in place prior to this aspect.

 

This is an opportunity to lift the veil of uncertainty and find greater truth.  Any aspect, easy flowing or challenging, can be dealt with in order to bring a positive into each and every situation, and evolve a belief structure into something more tangible and reliable.  All aspects whether natal or transit can be utilized in positive ways to help provide you with strength and the ability needed to conquer any of life’s situation, even though Squares are very difficult to master.  They do, however, usually force you into action, because the energies are difficult enough that you must find a resolution.

 

If you find that your views are pessimistic or unapproachable for some reason, take the time to review the situation as well as your own personal philosophy.  By doing so, you can set things straight.  Neptune provides you with the insight to achieve any of your pursuits as long as part of the process reduces the effect of ego.  There must be consideration and assistance for others.  Saturn provides the stable environment to achieve these things. 

 

Transiting Saturn Square Natal Neptune will challenge your focus linked to the intangible, force you to look at things from a realistic perspective, and build a foundation based on the truth you discover during these moments of uncertainty.  You must go deep for the answers.

RELIABILITY

What are some characteristics you like in people? 

 

Many of us look for honesty, caring, sensitivity and the list goes on.  Some things are more relevant than others but one thing that most of us want in a relationship would include reliability.  You want someone dependable, someone who stands by your side when you need them and someone who will always have your back.

 

This applies to any relationship. We want others to be reliable, but we should also recognize that others want us to mirror this attribute.  What we say and do matters, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.

 

We need truth.  When we say something or offer our advice to others they should feel as though what we present them with is honest and reliable information that can assist them, if they choose to follow our advice.

 

Also, if we make a promise, we need to keep that promise. 

 

If we make a commitment, we need to stand behind it.

 

Unfortunately, some individuals do not make themselves accountable. Who are we, if our word is worthless?

 

Think before you speak. Ensure that you can keep a promise or your word.  If it is questionable that you want or cannot follow through, then say no right from the get-go. Set your standards high and be an example to others.  Be good for your word.  Say what you mean.  Be there when you say you will. 

 

Unfortunately, many people search outside of themselves for what they need inside.  Do not look outward; look within.

 

Why do we dislike other people’s characteristics?

 

Are they a reflection of our imperfections?

 

Are they characteristics that we fear?

 

Life is deep!  Look deep within. Be true to your word. If you make a commitment, be committed. Be reliable to others but also to yourself. What is reliability?
