SATURN AND NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION IN ARIES

We have a high-powered conjunction coming up with Saturn and Neptune.  Neptune entered Aries March 30, 2025, and will return into Pisces on October 22 and then make its return to Aries in January, 2026. 

 

Saturn moves into Aries on May 25, 2025 and returns to Pisces September 1; finally moving back into Aries in the middle of February 2026. 

 

Saturn and Neptune will be aligned in the early degrees beginning in May, 2025 and staying in close proximity in Aries until September 1. 

 

Uranus makes a Sextile to this positioning in July while Pluto (in Aquarius) will also make a sextile to this placement.  Those individuals with planets or angles in these areas in their astrology charts will be influenced by the overall configuration taking hold during these times.  More will be written as we maneuver our way closer to these other planets making aspects.

 

Today, we will be touching on the influence of the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune. 

 

Saturn has to do with reality, focus, is serious in nature, disciplined, organized, structured and reliable.  Saturn is driven by the conscious mind and is in tuned with the material world and what the material world has to offer.

 

Neptune is illusive, mystical, spiritual, psychic, can be somewhat vague, can also be unreliable and often has to do with dreams, the meditative experience and is driven by the unconscious. 

 

So how will Saturn affect Neptune? 

 

Saturn tends to create stability and will clarify exactly what the psychic realms mean on a personal basis, due to both planets being in Aries.  Saturn will ask you if you are seeing things clearly as they are. Saturn wants you to focus.  It will want you to ensure that you can depend on what you feel and see in front of you. Saturn wants a solid foundation and for things to work out over the long haul. 

 

On the other hand, how will Neptune’s energy affect Saturn?

 

Neptune will ask Saturn to step out of its comfort zone and look at things from a different perspective.  There will be a lot of “what-ifs” and will also tell Saturn to not be so serious and stop worrying about the outcome, because in fact we might not know the outcome.  Neptune will ask Saturn to look inside for the answers and rely more on intuition and its senses. 

 

Together Neptune and Saturn will mold with one another seeking out facts, reach for assistance from higher sources, gain understanding although at times things will be vague and perhaps misunderstood.  Over time, things will solidify and make sense although turmoil will be a result until everything settles. All things taking hold under this influence will affect us on a personal level likely causing anxiety and concern for those who tend to allow this.  A part of us will hold on and even possibly martyr ourselves but we will gain wisdom because of the experience.  Reality and the mystical will try to find solace in what is unfolding as they join forces, pushing towards the greater good for all concerned.

 

The houses in the astrology chart that are being enhanced by these two planetary links will define what areas of life are involved.

 

The final results will be tied to fluctuations and mistrust and at the same time an understanding that this will align itself and likely teach a lesson that will not be forgotten.  How we confront this in our own personal terms, how we push for change that affects us, as well as the influence from those we are close to, will influence how this all works out.

 

Saturn and Neptune conjunct in Aries are unusual partners but with diligent efforts and concern for others in the coming months, our life events focused on the practical and merging with the mystical will be energized.

NEPTUNE SEXTILE NATAL JUPITER

This article is written in March, 2025. Transiting Neptune is moving into Aries at the end of March. Neptune will remain in Aries until it moves back into Pisces on October 22, 2025.  Neptune returns to Aries in January, 2026 and will then stay in Aries for many years.

 

Pisces, which is normally connected to the spiritual realm, will maneuver its way into the sign of Aries with a real push to find solace in Spirituality and the mystical side of life.  This will now be on a personal basis as Aries is connected to self and the need to move within self-serving enterprises. 

 

Neptune in Pisces, its natural placement, would have opened the door for many who wished to delve deeper into their mystical side.  Now is the time to put all of that training and education into practice.  Much will depend on the placement of transiting Neptune in your natal chart as this will be the area of life that is exposed to these energies.  Also, look at the natal placement of Neptune as well as the aspects it receives in the natal chart as this will provide further important information. 

 

Natal Jupiter and its house placement will speak in terms of expansion and potential growth.  Jupiter often brings with it good fortune, easy flow in obtaining your objectives, and in general, positive energy. 

 

Neptune and Jupiter in sextile to one another, allowing a 3-5° orb of influence, can create opportunities for growth and expansion around spirituality, music, and theatre, especially if the fifth house is part of the process and the psychic realm for those that have an interest in these fields of expression.  I personally use a smaller orb because, although we can feel these energies coming into our lives, the energies become stronger the closer they are to being direct. 

 

Your Jupiter will likely be in the final degrees in the sign of Capricorn or Taurus or in the early degrees of Aquarius or Gemini for this aspect to play a role in your life currently. 

 

Sextiles are opportunity aspects, but in many cases, we will have to work to put these opportunities now entering our lives into action, as without our involvement not much may take hold.  Once again, look to the houses where transiting Neptune is in, the houses where natal Jupiter and natal Neptune are in and the other aspects taking hold to get a full, clear picture of these energies in place now.

 

Neptune sextile natal Jupiter provides a great opportunity for growth if you put in the effort required.  Don’t waste this energy.

PISCES NEW MOON 2025

On February 28, 2025, we will be graced with a New Moon in the sign of Pisces at 9°.  This New Moon makes a Trine to Mars which is at 6° Cancer and also makes a Square to Jupiter at 11° Gemini.

 

A New Moon takes place when the Sun and Moon are conjunct. The house that is being affected by this placement and the sign that it takes place in will be important to delineating its energies.  These placements speak about how energy will reveal itself, determined by the sign, and in what area of life which is determined by the astrology chart’s house where the sun and moon are located.

 

For this placement to have an influence in your life, you will need to have planets or angles within 3° of this placement either by Conjunction, Opposition, Square, Trine and Sextile, with the first three aspects having the greatest impact. The tighter the orb the stronger its influence.

 

New Moon’s mark the beginning or the start of events or the push towards either an achievement or an area of life that matters to you at this point in your life.  In approximately six months from now, when the Full Moon is in the same sign (Pisces in this case), the culmination of what began now during the New Moon will reach maturity if the necessary work has been carried out.  Whatever effort we put into making things happen will be reflected in the fruits of our labor.  Now is the time to plant seeds in the garden of life.

 

This Pisces New Moon will likely have something to do with emotions and sensitivity and may be tied somehow to the gifting of our time and efforts.  It may be attached to intuition or an inner knowing and sometimes fear and anxiety can be a part of this due to our concern about how things will work out.  There may be insight and an awareness that stems from within which may be tied to the spiritual or psychic realms or our creative nature. 

 

If the Square from Jupiter has other indicators in the natal chart that might hinder the effects of this New Moon and the aspects to it then the foreseen outcome may be exaggerated.  However, if there are few tight challenging aspects within the framework of the birth chart then Jupiter, being of greater benefit, can enhance things and work well in your efforts.  (Squares or Oppositions from the outer planets to natal positions can suggest difficulties, while Trines and Sextiles can indicate easy flow and opportunities.)

 

The Trine from Mars pushes us into action and offers easy flow and potential gain from our efforts.  Mars is always about energy, in some cases directed energy and in other cases an energy push from outside sources.  The Trine aspect suggests that the actions taken during this phase will likely be optimistically received.

 

Plant emotional, compassionate and/or psychic/spiritual seeds in the garden of life during the Pisces New Moon 2025. Nurture the seeds until the Pisces Full Moon in six months from now.

SUN IN PISCES 2025

The Sun moves from the fixed, air sign of Aquarius into the mutable, water sign of Pisces on February 18, 2025.  This is quite the contrast as anyone who shares this cusp of Aquarius and Pisces has two distinct energies working within.  (See www.holmastrology.com/astrology-101astrology for more information on the distinct energies of these two signs.)

 

Pisces, under most conditions, (depending on other configurations within the natal chart) has a gentle, calm, passive demeanor and is very sensitive to other people as well as their own surroundings.  They need quiet places to retreat, gentle well-meaning associates and friends, and often enjoy the open waters or an ocean view. 

 

Most Pisceans are kind, caring individuals with great empathy for others, mainly because they understand what it is to suffer from the deeper layers of consciousness.  They can get hurt easily and have a hard time hiding how they feel.  They must learn not to take on the energies of others, especially if these other individuals are going through heart-wrenching and emotional experiences.

 

Pisces individuals truly care, and you can find them in volunteer groups, where caring and compassion is required.  They can make great nurses, psychologists, and addiction counsellors. Insecure individuals are often drawn to Pisceans, but so are aggressive individuals who believe they can take control or take advantage of caring Pisceans.  They must be careful who they become close to in life.

 

Pisceans are very sensitive individuals, and because of this, many Sun in Pisces individuals are known to have intuitive abilities.  Some are psychic and most go deep into “feelings” rather than to analyze.  They are known for their caring natures, but because of their intense need for peace and tranquility, when they are confronted with adverse conditions, they tend to be drawn to drugs and alcohol because they do not want to face this adversity.  Some hide their proverbial heads in the sand or try to cloud life’s challenging situations.

 

The area of psychology and the unseen can draw them in.  Their philosophy might be “who can I help and what can I do to make others’ lives deeper but I don’t need rewards”.  Some are known for being martyrs as it is not important for them to receive recognition or compensation for their efforts. They also understand that they work for a higher power.  Some believe that Pisces, being the last sign of the Zodiac, is the final stage of earthly existence. 

 

Personally, this Astrologer believes that unless they have a grasp of the full picture of life’s purpose, they are not ready for the final stage of earthly existence, and they will return bringing with them their knowledge and experience into their next existence.

NEPTUNE MOVES INTO ARIES

Transiting Neptune stays in each sign approximately 14 years.

 

Neptune entered Pisces in the spring of 2011 and will be moving into the sign of Aries in the spring of 2025 but moving back into the final degrees of Pisces when turning retrograde and then returning to Aries and remaining there from the beginning of 2026. 

 

As with all sign changes, as Neptune moves into Aries, there are some ramifications of the previous sign, Pisces, and some reflections of the upcoming sign, Aries.  This is like an orb of influence usually beginning to show its influence in and around 3° degrees prior to entering the next sign.

 

While in its own sign of Pisces, Neptune was working well connected to the energies of spirituality, enlightenment and awakening into the psychic realm.  Many individuals can relate to this over the past 14-year span. Many people became interested and entered this realm of influence. They questioned if there were not more to life than the mundane tasks of everyday responsibilities. 

 

For those individuals already on this route before the coming age of Neptune in Pisces, the awakening process was enhanced, and their abilities would also have been heightened.

 

As we begin to feel the energies shifting from Pisces to Aries, the psychic awareness gained by many people becomes more apparent on a personal level.  We become awakened to our own connectedness to the other worldly realms and enhance our personal perspectives into these now more accepted and realized states of being.  We are now more intuitive and have a deeper understanding of the world at large and are now beginning to delve deeper into our own objective reality.  With the influence of Aries, this becomes more personal, and we gain momentum as we advance our individual cause with the objective of assisting others in finding their true identity.

 

This is a time of personal spiritual growth and an expansion into deeper realms of self from a spiritual level.  We gain momentum by inner/honest reflection and can begin to understand the connectedness of humanity and its plight.  We learn compassion on a personal basis, we learn perseverance through diligent self-examination and delve headlong into the future not knowing exactly what that might entail.

 

Neptune moves into Aries for the next 14 years, and we will be tied into our subconscious and learning to evaluate inner communication with outer forces. We will be deepening our understanding of life through the study of self.  We are here to learn that we are all one and that the concept of individuality is now more focused on the concept of internal connectedness. 

 

With the energies when Neptune moves into Aries, explore yourself and open the door. Find the truth to who you are.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE SEXTILE NATAL IC

As Neptune makes its way through the Zodiac ever so slowly, it manifests itself through different channels because of its illusive behavior. Neptune is a mysterious planet and is connected to mysticism, psychic interaction, intuitive perception as well as illusions, cloudiness with perception and the wish to evade all conflict. Neptune can also be associated with acting, musical abilities, dance and in many cases, things associated with the oceans or waterways.

 

The IC is always opposite the MC exact to the degree and minute.  Therefore, when the IC is in aspect to a transiting planet, we also need to take into consideration what aspect that particular planet will be making to the MC. 

 

The Sextiles aspect is considered favorable and is associated with easy flow and opportunities, but these opportunities need to be taken advantage of for the energies to fully manifest themselves, if at all. The Sextile requires the receiver to work with the energies.

 

The IC is associated with the home and family and our heritage. When Neptune makes its positive sextile aspect to this position, the opportunities for changes to take place within the home front will be activated. Perhaps the home goes through changes that are now more in line with what you believe in or you require, such as setting up an area for meditation or changing the furniture so it is more appealing, balanced and/or comfortable. Perhaps you want to make a part of your home like a little retreat where you can go or where others can go to find peace and tranquility. 

 

On a deeper level, which is usually the way Neptune operates, you may find a deeper connection to family members especially if the seventh or fifth house is connected in some way. You may find that it is as if you know what they are thinking or how they are feeling and would really want to assist in some way, especially if there are challenges taking hold. Mental confusion within the family unit may be part of this picture.

 

The family connection tends to run deeper during this connection to the IC and those you consider your family of friends might also be included in this energy, especially if the eleventh house is affected in the chart.  Things might also surface from the past or from the family heritage that can be used or filtered through to get a deeper understanding of where you have come from.  There may be something you uncover that is quite beneficial to you and your family at this time.

 

If there are opportunities that present themselves, be sure to take advantage of the energy at hand. This placement does not occur often.  Of course, much depends on the other aspects making contact in your chart at the same time that Neptune sextiles your natal IC.

LET GO AND ALLOW

Does it seem as though no matter how hard you try, you always seem to fall short? 

 

Do you feel stuck?

 

You know that sooner or later that feeling dissipates but the time must be ripe to move ahead.

Right now, it may not feel as though you will ever get through this period in life, and it may even seem to have been in place for so long that it now almost feels comfortable.  Sooner or later, however, life takes a turn, and a shift takes place. Sometimes, you must let go and allow before change starts to take place.

 

It is futile to push yourself if you are not ready. 

 

How will you know when the time is right? 

 

You don’t pick the time; the time picks you.  So let go of what you think you need to do and let life lead.  Allow the time to ripen before you “pick” your time to take that step.

 

Letting go is the hardest thing to do.  It is not giving up. It is recognizing that something outside of self also has input.  You will feel the shift. It can come out of nowhere.

 

Have faith in the process and allow.  Life always takes us where we need to go.

PISCES NEW MOON 2024

We will experience a New Moon on March 10, at 5 a.m. EDT at 20° in the sign of Pisces.  This New Moon is in the 3^rd decant, and therefore, has some Scorpio influence.  It is also sextile to transiting Uranus which is at 19° of Taurus. 

 Being in the sign of Pisces, and having some influence of Scorpio, there will likely be a strong sensitivity during this new moon phase.  The emotions are subject to fluctuations, and although those affected will be highly sensitive and quite emotional, their outward expressions will fluctuate from overactive to hidden or subdued. As a result, if you are affected by this New Moon you can be quite unpredictable but the New Moon energies can offer opportunities for change on some level.  Much depends on the houses involved in your own personal chart.

 

This is the time for change because what has been in place no longer serves a workable purpose.  If influenced by this new moon, you may feel the need for change but may also not want to ruffled the feathers that have already settled in.  You don’t want to disrupt things, but you know that a change is coming, and this is the time for planting the seeds for this transformation.  It is a time of new beginnings that can take about 6 months to germinate, and you will see some results (if you put forth an effort) during the Pisces full moon in September, 2024.

 

If influenced, you are sensitive and may find that you lash out without reason, but you should also know that outside influences can weigh heavy on you now.  You feel with intensity and can pick up on what others are feeling as your intuitive side is being influenced.  You can be quite psychically influenced and may know things before they unfold.  You likely will tend to keep these experiences to yourself however.

 

This is the time to lay a lasting foundation. Although the change to do so may be disruptive and unexpected in the ways it may unfold, you will find that over time it was exactly what was needed as you are now be in a place that offers some growth.  You can awaken to a whole new set of circumstances and a new perspective on life.
