The road of life is seldom straightforward.  We twist and turn, feelings as though we waver from time to time. The path in life is always in front of us and though we may feel as though we have gotten off track, the lessons we are learning are essential for our journey forward.

 

Some of us may know where we hope to go and others just follow the route.  Some days, the path is straightforward, other days are filled with potholes and some days it feels like the path has disappeared into the underbrush. Push forward anyway!

It is important to keep our options open. We may have a goal in mind for this moment, but the moment is forever changing. We may think we need that straight even road, but the road we are offered will have opportunities that may open doors we never thought possible.

 

You are on the right path. Stay open to what is offered as it is what you need. It may feel like twists and turns but if you watch closely, you will realize you are dancing your way forward.

GROW EXPONENTIALLY

For those of us who are considered sensitives, it is important when dealing with others that we do not take on their energies.  This is the main cause of burnout for psychics, readers and intuitives.  It can be very challenging because when we meet people that are experiencing extremely difficult time, their energies linger and if taken on personally, the energies can cause the sensitive to become overwhelmed.

 

Sensitives unfortunately pick up intuitively what is going on beneath the surface.  It is as if those around us are speaking to us without using words.  We can see it in their faces and understand/experience on a subconscious level what they are experiencing.  We may not know specifically what is transpiring in their lives, but we feel it energetically.

 

In order to assist someone in need, we need to be able to step back once we have emersed ourselves in their feelings. To assist, we must understand the client’s pain however but we cannot own it. We can assist through emotional support and offering guidance. 

 

On a human level, it is important to know that we are not alone and that someone else cares. We, however, cannot do the work for someone else.

 

In working through our own issues, we realize our strengths. We build confidence which assists when our next life lessons come into play.  All adversity is a learning experience, and we can only help others after we have learned to help ourselves.

 

Life is a flow of opportunities and lessons. We grow exponentially through every event we experience and learn and through every person we support.

BELIEVE THIS!

Do we just take the easy road or do we walk the long hard road of life lessons? 

 

Do we even have a choice? 

 

Some would say no because our life’s path is not by choice, while others believe that in many ways, we have chosen this path long before we actually incarnated. 

 

For just one moment, let’s go with the belief that we have come into this life knowing from a deeper perspective the path and lessons that lie ahead.  Although the path is somewhat set in stone, this does not mean that we are at the mercy of these choices that were set prior to our entry into this life. 

 

Many believe that we can alter the path somewhat by our choices that we make along the road while others believe that the path can never be altered.  There is no way of proving either, so why not address anything that comes our way and adjust when we need to.

 

We will learn the lessons we are here to learn whether we accept them, fight them or try to ignore them.  The path may vary but the end destiny or life lesson, call it what you will, will not change.

 

Life will happen, no matter what, and we can only do what we can in the process.  We will experience challenging conditions from time to time, but we will also experience wonderful, breathtaking experiences as well. 

 

Our attitude towards all of our life events is what matters.  Life will still happen and we must except the lessons required. We can make the ride enjoyable (at the very least less stressful) with an exuberance to learn. We lessen the friction by doing so.

 

So onward we march with each segment, each lesson in our lives.  We work our way through adversity when it confronts us and maneuver our way forward.  We gain strength from these experiences and learn from our mistakes, if there is such a thing.  Perhaps, it’s all meant to be and there are no mistakes along the way!! 

 

Our road is unique to us. Have faith in the process and live your life to the fullest.  Even in the darkest moments there is an opportunity to grow and move forward. You are much stronger than you think.  Believe this, know this!  Learn the lessons well and enjoy the ride!

BRIGHT SUNNY SKIES

If life has seemed dim, remember it’s always the darkest just before dawn. 

 

Life’s journey can be unclear but eventually the sun rises again and will light your path clearly. You might not have been sure about the next step but patience and slow progress can help with clear decision making. When we can see the next steppingstone, it is time to take that step.

 

With clear and concise deliberation, we prepare ourselves to move forward.

 

If we feel we are sitting at the precipice of change and have been waiting for something to come along and make things happen, perhaps we should realize that we have to take that step forward. The only restrictions, although life seems to put up barriers, are indecision.  We hold ourselves back.

 

If we have done our due diligence, do not let fear rule! The unknown can be intimidating but it should not dictate.

 

There will always be bright sunny skies.  When dawn comes, we must take off our sleep mask to see the sun rise. Take that step forward or stand in place. Do we exist in fear or do we live fully no matter what we are dealt?

TIME TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL

A quick reminder that there are always ways to move away from a situation that does not bring peace into your life.  This is not to say that you should try to escape any life lesson because sooner or later you must deal with the situation and learn the lesson. We can become so overwhelmed by our journey at times that we need to be reminded that it is okay to take a step aside for much needed down time. Take time to inhale and to exhale. Relax!  How long has it been?

 

Take a holiday from life’s stressor or responsibilities.  Walk in the woods, take in nature as its wonderment is far beyond anything we can experience from something manmade.  Its beauty is captivating if we stop to see it.  

 

Stop for a moment, open your eyes and focus on what is right in front of you.  Find a stream, river or lake and sit. Listen to the sounds.  Let them become a part of you!

 

If possible, go on a mini trip. It does not have to be far away, something nearby and inexpensive.  Let go of and stop focusing on shortages. Enjoy yourself. Enjoyment does not have to cost monetarily. You can still be responsible.

 

If getting away for a day or two is impossible, then seize what is available. Sometimes all you need is a short relaxation technique. Meditation is the perfect fix for anxiety. Relaxation should and has to be a part of your life. 

 

Mindfulness and meditation go hand in hand and allows you to adopt a much more passive approach to even stressful situations.

 

A second good practice is to write down what is causing you anxiety. Then write down ways to improve the situation. Likely you already have what you need to aid the situation and reviewing the circumstances on paper helps you to focus.

 

It might be time to get away from it all for the moment. Refocus, create a plan and then put the plan in motion. Situations would not be in place if there were not a lesson to be learned.  Learn and move on!

THE UNDERLYING YOU

The way we present ourselves to the outside world changes over life. Some of these changes can be drastic, often resulting from life experiences such as influences from other people’s opinions, life events, making adjustments to ourselves or simply becoming comfortable in our own skin.

 

In some cases, we make changes that are more internal. Others may not even realize them. In other cases, changes take place and we are unaware of them. Other’s comments bring the changes to our attention.

 

We are influenced by those we interact with and can take on their characteristics without being consciously aware of it. We may have habits that are pointed out by others. We then can take heed and make changes, if needed.

 

Whatever changes we make, they have to take place because we place importance on them not because we are trying to please others.

 

As we age and mature into ourselves, hopefully we learn to bend where we need to, stand firm when it’s appropriate and grow and learn from life’s experiences.  You can teach an old dog new tricks, contrary to the old  saying.

 

Life creates changes.  Circumstances create change. Age creates change. The underlying you, however, never changes.  We are still the core person we have always been but we have adapted to live life as needed.

RECAPTURE THE MOMENT

Once the magic of the moment is gone, it is said that it is gone forever. Many believe that life’s blessed moments are here one moment and gone the next. On the other side of the coin, however, many believe that unfavorable moments have full potential to return.  Why is that? 

 

Why is it that many believe misfortune can return yet good fortune is fleeting?

 

We can, once again, relate this to our belief structures, expectations and focus. 

 

Our focus expands. Why then is it commonplace to focus on misfortunate?

 

Look at life through fortunate eyes. Do not believe that good fortune is fleeting but hardship is commonplace.  Stop creating this reality.  If we wish for challenges to disappear, with that very desire, we are focusing on the challenges. As a result, you bring more.  Neither can we ignore the situation as this is, in reality, a focus on not paying attention to what we wish to escape.

 

The only solution is to shift our attention to a benefit of our experience or a blessing we are ignoring because of our negative focus.

 

Live in appreciation not resentment. You are not a victim; you are a student of life. Learn the lesson, appreciate the knowledge and move forward. Appreciation brings more of the same and we begin noticing all the little wonders that surround us.

 

You may on occasion still go down the rabbit hole, but you will be quick to realize it and turn your focus around to recapture the moment, the moment of appreciation.

ATTENTION TO DETAILS

Some events in life can be quite overwhelming.  We may spend countless time trying to put our lives together only to find that something is missing. It doesn’t all fit together; so what did I forget?

 

You need to pay attention to the details because life can let you know that you missed something.  There are indicators that something is not right, that you need to move ahead or that perhaps you don’t move ahead with your plans.  Do you pay heed to these nudges?

 

Sometimes fear gets in the way and we resist moving forward. Is it fear of failure, lack of confidence, or lack of ambition?

 

Never let fear, laziness or doubt stand in the way of progress. Even if you tried and failed, you will have gained valuable information that sets you up for success on your next attempt.

 

Do not get caught up in fear and worry. Sometimes you need to let life lead.  Other times, you need to charge forward. Pay attention to details. If you fail, welcome the experience and knowledge gained setting you up for later success.

ADOPT THE NEW DIRECTION

Has a new path presented itself to you?

 

Life’s path has many hills, valleys and bends. It changes like the seasons and in some cases, these changes can be abrupt. 

 

We may fight the process initially only to realize the change is not a choice. This can be challenging, but it would not be taking place unless we are ready or meant to take this new path.

 

The journey forward may be unknown but embrace the change even though it is vague or uncertain.  We never truly know what lies ahead with any type of certainty. In some cases, we are forced to walk a new road leaving our past course in the rear-view mirror.

 

Again, the journey ahead may appear challenging, but it will have its rewards. It likely is exactly what is needed. It will open new doors. Nothing happens without a purpose, and although we might not easily recognize that purpose, it exists.

 

Wrap your arms around the new. Life always takes you where you need to go for the moment. Nothing stays the same.  Even little twists and turns can be difficult to understand but our comprehension will catch up eventually.

 

Adopt the new direction. Acknowledge the fear but step forward anyway. Yours is a life of discovery. The time is ripe for change and your attitude can make it challenging or enjoyable.

PERPETUAL MOMENT

Occurrences can happen in a flash.  No time to prepare. No time to digest. No warning whatsoever.

 

I believe that all things happen for a reason, although it can be hard to understand why.

 

One single event can change the course of our lives.

 

We wonder where we are heading. Anticipation can cause anxiety or worry.

 

Even good changes can cause stress, but it can also open new roads to explore. These, as with any moment, are magnified by our attention to each detail. 

 

Life is miraculous and we can be astonished by experiences. 

 

More often than not, we move through life unaware of what lies ahead.  We ponder outcomes without influencing them. We can get lost in our thoughts and can create unnecessary stress by worrying and wondering about possibilities.  Remember, focus creates and amplifies.  It is not always obvious but happens, nonetheless. 

 

Motion knows no boundaries. Simply allow, as life’s journey awaits us.

 

Prepare but eliminate expectations. You really do not know where you will be tomorrow, so enjoy this perpetual moment. Focus on the here and now; it’s all we have.
