JUPITER CONJUNCT NATAL SOUTH NODE

 (OPPOSITION NORTH NODE)

 

Since the Nodes are always exactly 180° apart from one another, when we speak of the South Node by Conjunction, we also speak of the North Node by Opposition.  

The South Node is said to be linked to past lives and the expertise learned from these lives can be used in the pursuit of what the North Node relates to in this life.  The South Node is said to be a “comfort” place where we should not be residing, and that we should be following our North Node’s direction even though it may be uncomfortable because it is unknown.

 

Jupiter is associated with growth, expansiveness, fortunate conditions, or at the very least, the potential of creating something positive and gained experience through life’s experience. 

 

The South Node is often considered similar in its influence as is Saturn, suggesting challenging situations and delayed reactions or obstacles that stand in the way of success. 

 

The Conjunction to the South Node indicates an emphasis on the desire to fall back into what might feel more comfortable, although we know we need to press forward into change or find a different direction. 

 

For instance, if this has to do with a relationship (indicated with the South Node being in the 7^th or 5^th house, or perhaps in the sign of Libra) then perhaps the relationship is now not suitable for you moving forward, and although you feel the need to move out of it, a part of you still wants to stay in the relationship, because, even though it is not a good relationship, it is comfortable and familiar. 

 

Another example might be if the South Node is in the fourth house or Conjunct the IC, which suggests that the North Node is in Opposition to your MC. With this example, you might have been tied to looking after your family and domesticated duties Now you need to leave this because a career has the potential to be unleased and assist in your goals.  You are quite comfortable at home, but others might be suggesting that you take this job, because of the opportunities that it offers.  Oppositions often involve other people’s feedback or needs and sometimes these needs overshadow your own personal desires.

 

If this was another planet that might be doing the Transit rather than Jupiter, the conditions would be quite different. Jupiter will often produce positive results after some deliberation, and you will likely benefit from its influence.  Uranus, for example, would bring sudden unexpected changes, Neptune would dissolve the situation, and Pluto could bring arguments and struggles into play. 

 

Check to see where your North and South Nodes are located by sign and house as this will determine the areas of life involved.  If they are also being affected by other transits, this will have to be delineated to get the full picture.  Always look at the natal potential in the birth chart.

 

To summarize, with transiting Jupiter conjunct natal South Node, opposition natal North Node do not fall back into what is comfortable. Push forward and fulfill this life lessons. Jupiter will help!

SIGNATURE LIFE EVENTS

We experience events that act as steppingstones in life and these events propel us forward!  We also have events that foster growth through perseverance, diligent effort, experience and by what some would term chance. 

 

Often, we can feel as though we are at the mercy of life, when life seems to dictate and create struggles that are so overwhelming that we feel stifled and lose faith in our journey. 

 

In the next breath, we can experience what feels like a miracle which takes us to places we never dreamed we could reach. 

 

Either type of events can create major turning points in our journey.

 

At times, we work diligently for something we have set as a priority and we can fall short. There are even times when we complete a difficult life lesson where we feel we have actually moved backwards in our journey.  Remember, however, we learn valuable information from our shortcomings and blunders. The experiences can be very unpleasant, and our egos can be wounded; but we will remember the experience and use this new information or tool moving forward. Do not be emotionally hurt by failures. Our attitudes can make the experience excruciating or fill us with gratitude for the lesson. Remember, it is our ego that is suffering not us (we are not our ego).

 

We can enter some journeys or life lessons as one person and come out at the end of the lesson a whole new person. These experiences often set events in motion that further our evolution even more further down the road of life.  In some cases, we look at life from a completely different perspective after these life lessons. 

 

We can begin to recognize that the flow of life is gauged by expectations, belief structures and focus.  Magic is present with our expectations, and we welcome new adventures (lessons) that promote long-term healing and potential for further growth.

 

We should always remember that we walk our path with others and our actions have ramifications.  What we do in life affects others.  Life has profound ripple effects. Our movement can motivate others or hinder others, temporarily.

 

Walk your road, learn from your signature life events. You advance, fall back, push forward, persevere, deliver and accept. It’s part of the learning process. Life is a mystery but oh so magical, too.

THE REAL YOU

To understand who you really are, you would have to go back into your archives, back to where it all started, from the beginning. 

 

No one really knows their beginning, but many believe that this is not our first incarnation on this earthly journey.  Some believe that there have been several other life experiences that have brought us to this current one.

 

Who are you, really?

 

What are you capable of?

 

We are far more than what we see on the surface today.  We are the culmination of every lesson we have experienced now and previously. Again, I ask then what are we capable of because of these uncountable lessons?

 

We know we are spiritual in our true nature, a small piece of God (don’t get caught up on the word we chose to use). It has been said that God (whatever God represents to you) is indivisible.  We then are a part of a whole which cannot be divided. Are we attempting then to unite that which can’t be separated? 

 

Perhaps while pondering these questions, we might want to further ponder what we can do.  Is this life just about material rewards and accomplishments? 

 

There must be some valuable lessons that are taught through this material existence, or we would not be so wrapped up in attainment and success, at least for those that are.  What valuable lessons are taught through these gains or losses? 

 

Why have we entered this existence which is so tied to achievement and what does this experience teach us?

 

The real you is spiritual and has much knowledge and insight that can foster great assistance in this life particularly for yourself because you cannot assist others until you first help yourself. 

 

How can you help humankind with its evolutionary quest? 

 

Do not, for one moment, think that your part is too small.  An ocean is made of an abundance of single drops of water. Push forward with your pure love and affection for your fellow person. Each and every one of us has work to do.  What is the real you capable of doing knowing that there are no limits?

INNOCENT BYSTANDERS

Generally, the ones that are affected the most by life’s situations are children.  They are highly in tuned to what transpires around them, especially in their formative years.  Their parents are their main influencers and then as they age, they become more and more affected by their peers and social media. 

 

In the past, the mother has been the most influential with her nurturing and caring and the father through security and stability. Today this is not necessarily the norm as today’s parents often share all responsibilities or can switch rolls completely.

 

Children are often innocent bystanders, being influence by outside source such as the affection shared and shown between parents or the aggression, for that matter. 

 

We teach the development of love and affection through our examples. What children see in day-to-day interaction is taken as normal because these are normal in their lives.  Family traits quite regularly are carried forward.

 

There can also be influencers well beyond the family unit during the informative years. Those born in war-torn countries, for example, become less shell shocked than those not experiencing these circumstance. Fear and oppression however can be the norm for them and families can do little to alleviate these conditions for their families.

 

Violence, abuse, fear and aggression in any form are experiences we want to eliminate for everyone.

 

Change begins at the family level and then progresses to friends, communities, countries and the world. Through our actions, we generate or create waves of energy that spread outward in all directions, similar to the waves on the ocean. 

 

Your actions, no matter how large or small, have consequences and flow out influencing our world. Everything builds and moves in all directions.  Our actions create. Let’s influence the innocent bystanders and our world to be a better place by being that energy that will influence it in this way.

SATURN SQUARE NATAL SATURN

Saturn, by definition, often speaks of challenging conditions, tasks at hand, lessons to learn, discipline, creating organization and building a strong foundation. 

 

As Saturn transits through the houses, especially when it connects with the planets or the cusp of each house, it is often felt as an integrating energy that asks us to pay attention and often requires additional work.  Saturn’s influence is not something that should be ignored and is felt especially when it conjuncts a planet or angle in our birth chart.

 

Saturn, at its most powerful, often interacts when it is 2° past being direct because of its delayed effects.  However, you will likely feel Saturn’s approach long before it reaches this critical degree of influence.  Therefore, we can prepare for its influence, but it is highly suggested that you not anticipate its action as negativity can result. 

 

Saturn is the teacher of the Zodiac, and this is what it will do.  Its action sparks our attention and when transiting Saturn is in square to itself in the birth chart (which is what we are focused on in this article) our attentiveness will be enhanced.

 

Saturn asks us to work hard towards our objectives and not to miss any steps along the way.  It will teach us patience and diligence. If we do the work that is required, its energies can help build solid foundations that stand the test of time.  The structures that can be built can withstand almost any interaction because they are built from structure and lessons that are likely difficult and do not need repeating.

 

Much will depend on the houses involved in the equation.  The house where Saturn transits often produce tension or lessons and the house where Saturn natally resides helps in assisting with the dilemma.  Squares indicate struggle, but the difficulty is irritating enough that it forces us into action to formulate a plan to alleviate the irritation. Natal Saturn and its natal positioning in the birth chart will provide you with more information and information on potential difficulty or greater ease for transition due to its aspects.

 

When transiting Saturn squares natal Saturn, there will be a teaching/learning phase.  You will work your way through what Saturn’s energies are pushing at you and become more equipped to handle situations in the future.  Difficulties are represented by Saturn, but Saturn also builds resilience and integrates strength.  Many may not even realize they have this strength until Saturn forces the lesson on them.  Saturn truly is the teacher.

FOSTERING IN THE NEW

Change is inevitable. 

 

Life never remains the same.  There might be similarities over a period of time, but you can be sure that something will come along and change or shake the very foundation of life.  This should not be viewed as difficult. Change is essential for growth and a forward movement in life. A new direction on some level is at hand and will open the door when the door needs to open, but never before, no matter how things may appear.

 

Sometimes we fear or try to reject change as the current situation is comfortable. We are comfortable and circumstances are familiar. Nonetheless, change will happen, with or without our consent.  When we resist, we create anxiety and fear. If we readily adapt, the transition is much more enjoyable.

 

As we transition, we begin anew into something more relevant or more in line with where we should be. As mentioned, some may struggle with this newness, and we may not be comfortable with what is unfolding.  We fight the process or fearfully hang on to what is. If we reconsider, we realize on some level this change is not only a requirement but actually a necessity. All change begins within.

 

Resist or not, we will venture forth because this is part of our life’s journey.  We have come into this life to experience and grow, with or without our consent. Take life by the horns and move forward without expectations fostering in the new. It is useless to worry about potentials or maybes. 

 

Be open and see where life takes you. Open your arms with anticipation.

JUPITER SQUARE NATAL JUPITER

Transiting Jupiter takes roughly one year to go through each Zodiac sign.  To go through all astrological signs it therefore takes approximately 12 years. 

 

Jupiter will make a Square (90° aspect) to its natal position approximately three years after it conjuncts (same degree and the same sign) its natal position and approximately three years after (six years total from conjunction) it makes its opposition (180° aspect) to its natal position.

 

The house position of Jupiter’s natal position in the astrological chart along with its house placement while in transit will be areas of interaction with the Square aspect.  The Natal potential (Jupiter’s natal chart configuration) will also define how these energies might develop as they get close to being direct (exactly 90° apart).

 

Jupiter, known as the greater benefic, stands alone with its positive influence as it moves through the Zodiac.  No other planet by challenging aspect will have such a positive influence as will Jupiter.  The only planet that Jupiter has any challenge with is Saturn even though its influence can still prove to be beneficial over time. 

 

Jupiter is known to bring good luck, easy flow, fortunate conditions, expansion and growth as it makes its way through the Zodiac influencing links within each of our planetary positions and angles in our natal charts.

 

Squares always indicate some delays, struggles, and hurdles to overcome. In most cases, we must work very hard at overcoming the energies in place through their influence.  However, squares are considered very irritating, (using a soft word to express their influence), and will ask us to see what we can do to alleviate these conditions or at the very least make them somewhat manageable. 

 

When Jupiter Squares itself, and depending on the overall condition of our natal Jupiter and perhaps the other influences of other transits to this position, we can still expect growth perhaps through learning or through outer experiences that teach lessons. It may be a bit harder than we might wish it would be but with effort, we reap the benefits.  Perhaps we may lose something to gain something more especially if Pluto is involved.  Perhaps we gain insight through unexpected conditions or rather quick, sudden interactions, but awaken some part of our lives especially if Uranus is involved. 

 

The experience may be a little tough and we might have to put forth effort and learn lessons along the way, but the potential is still there for growth on some level. 

 

Jupiter will likely open doors over time, but it may take a few months for things to clear, and after this lapse of time we begin to understand the why behind what took place.  We will realize that whatever transpired had to take place for what we now understand or are experiencing would not have transpired if things had stayed the same. 

 

Jupiter square natal Jupiter suggests that we wrap our arms around these learning experiences and know that the universe is teaching us valuable lessons that will assist in our overall development.

WHO ARE YOU IN THE DEEPEST SENSE

The real, inner you is a little more hidden than the one you create to show to the world. We have a outer persona which more often than not is somewhat different to the person that resides within. 

 

Our core, which is still another facet of who we are, runs much deeper.  It is not the face we show to the world or the one we identify with; it is an even more deep connection. 

 

We are a combination of all of these parts combined. 

 

How much do we identify with our outer expression, with your inner self, or with your core? 

 

We tend to know our inner self or the person we identify with, and we also have come to know what might be termed as our reactionary self, but how well do we know our core self? 

 

Exactly what is our core self?

 

Our core self or higher self (simply a choice of words) has to do with our guiding force or true self.  This is not to say that those parts of yourself that you identify with or show to the world are not a part of your true self, but they are more just segments of the whole. 

 

Our core self/higher self is spiritual in nature and on a sole level.  This higher self is the guiding force even when we are not listening consciously.  This higher self can assist us in understanding the purpose behind this incarnation and guides us during our lives on this earthly plain. It is always present, and connected to beyond our earthly capabilities. 

 

This connection has many names such as source, guiding force, the whole, God and the list goes on.  

 

With all of this support, what are we capable of in this life?

 

Why do we put limitations on ourselves? 

If we continue setting limits within and only allow growth based on these limitations, what disservice are we doing for ourselves?

 

All that we wish we were is available to us. How would we even know about these capabilities existing if we are not in touch with them?

 

Don’t hold yourself back.  You are far reaching and have capabilities beyond what you believe you can be or accomplish.  Life moves quickly just as our elders warned us.  Our time is limited in this earthly plain so do not squander it.  Work towards whatever it is you have set out to do.  Don’t hold back. 

 

You are limitless and much more than any preconceived notion that you may have. So please tell me, who are you in the deepest sense?
