FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE

We can seek freedom from many different things.  One important freedom is to free ourselves from the bondage of our mind’s interference.  Our mind can get caught up in the past or worry for the future.  We are so trapped in our worries that we forget that our focus amplifies and can become all consuming.  We are so focused on “what ifs” or “has beens” that we forget to live.

 

We continually hash over experiences to the point that they take up permanent residence in our head, and we continually loop over and over again on what was or what might be, much like the movie, Groundhog Day. 

 

We torture ourselves over what we could have done or what we might be able to do. This can also lead to pointing a finger at others and laying blame for events in our lives. Alternatively, we can take responsibility for events that were completely out of our control.  Does this sound familiar?

 

Our bondage stems from our preconceived notions of what we think SHOULD or SHOULD NOT have happened or what might happen in the future.  One suggests we have control issues and the other suggests we worry about potentials.

 

Some people truly do live in their self-made bondage, whether that bondage be mental or physical.

 

The bondage of fear robs us of living. Some of us may be tied to the security of our home environment. Step out and breathe the air of freedom.

 

Some are held in bondage because of the acts of others or life’s circumstances.

 

Can you rise above or break free of your personal bondage? 

 

Do you worry about potential outcomes if you take action? 

 

The unknown can create fear but you are stronger than that fear.

 

Ask yourself if you are supposed to exist under these conditions.  Of course not.  You are here to live!

 

It takes courage but make the choice to live not just exist.  You and you alone must make that decision.  You do not have to do this alone.  Reach out for support or help. Take the first step to freedom from bondage.

 

Break free! You are worth it. Start living!

TRY, TRY AGAIN

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again! 

 

Never give up.  Always give it your all.  Some things are worth working or fighting for.  There is satisfaction in knowing that you did your very best even if the outcome was not as planned. 

 

It is important to weigh out the cost (time, effort, value, odds) before committing to something. There are no guarantees in life, but if you don’t try, how do you know?

 

The rewards for a battle well fought usually pays high in dividends.

 

No matter what the goal, working towards a promotion, building a name for yourself, getting more healthy, saving a relationship, if it has value to you, it must be worth the effort!

 

Some things are more important than others. Set your priorities.

 

Obstacles only mean a little more effort. They will test your resilience, but they will teach you valuable lessons.  Life lessons can lead to irreplaceable outcomes.

 

If the cost is too high or the outcome unattainable, walk away!  That is not giving up; it is being accountable.

 

If there is potential for a favorable outcome but it entails hard work, so be it! Try, try again! Many things in life are worth it.  Give it your all. If you fall, get back up! When there’s a will, there’s a way!

LIMITATIONS IN LIFE

More often than not, we have to accept our limitations. There is much we cannot change (with the exception of our attitude). With some situations, we can change things to a degree, but life’s course seems to have a destination in mind.

 

We must have faith in the process, accepting on some level that what lies ahead is the path that we are meant to take.

 

We are seldom in control of the winds of change. Change is guaranteed so do not get too comfortable with where you sit today. There are always influences beyond our control so be flexible and open minded.

 

Sometimes the shift feels favorable, other times the shift feels very uncomfortable. We, more often than not, become concerned and anxious with the unknown or change which only create a less than desirable experience. 

 

We can learn to move with the wind and let it carry us forward.

 

Remember, without change, we stagnate! 

 

The unknown can be frightening. Even when the future looks promising, there can be a feeling of concern because we do not know what to expect. 

 

When life seems to dictate, adjust by not fighting the process unless a fight is warranted and can make a difference. On some level, we will benefit no matter what the outlook, either by actual changes for the better or by experiences that teach us valuable lessons.

 

The only thing we have full control over is our attitude towards what is happening. We must process each step in life, feel the energies or learn the lessons. We can react or we can act. We can hold on to struggle or we can accept. We will not escape our life lessons, but we can control our inner dialogue and how we relate to what unfolds.

TRIED AND TESTED

If something has been tried, tested and true earlier, does it still hold validity in today’s day and age?

 

We tend to lean towards what we know and what has worked in the past.  Most situations, however, can bring with it a slightly different twist to it. 

 

We must consider all angles of the equation including the “what if’s”. We won’t always get it right, but we must have faith in our process.  The unfolding of events, regardless of our decisions, will playout the way they will. 

 

There truly are no mistakes. When it might look lik
e we have made the wrong decision, it was supposed to happen that way regardless.  It was a learning experience.

 

The tried and tested often is a good choice.  Sometimes, however, we need to go beyond our comfort zone.  The results may be quite satisfactory or they may come up short.  Learn from the shortfalls and try again.

 

In the end, it always works out as it should.  Our attitude toward how things unfolded is ultimately our true experience.  Accept, take responsibility and move forward with deliberation.

YOU NEED TO BE REMINDED

Take a moment to experience your life as it is in this very moment.  What surrounds you? 

 

Look at your immediate environment. How lucky are you?

 

Periodically, we need to reflect on life and get a clear picture of where we are.  Sometimes we need to reflect so that we can make changes.  Sometimes we need to reflect to recognize that in many ways we are blessed.

 

For those that are struggling, know that any struggle is temporary.  Change is guaranteed. Stay strong, listen to advice, and follow your heart, not always your head. 

 

There ARE better days ahead but today we will commit to this lesson.  Strive to learn as once a lesson is learned, life changes. Life may dictate at times but your attitude towards life events and circumstances is always in your hands. 

 

You need to be reminded of this so you can make choices that propel you forward not only in life but in your thinking process, too!

BRING IT ON

Whatever is taking place in your life, face it head on.  Whether this is exciting or stressful, do what must be done so you can make your way forward. 

 

No matter what the situation, hatred and violence should not be seen as a solution.  If you have to express anger, release it but do it in a productive manner, whatever that may look like. 

 

If there are stumbling blocks in your way, either remove them or go around them. The lesson is in figuring this out. 

 

If you are being offered opportunities, what’s holding you back? 

 

Is it fear of failure? 

 

The only thing to fear is fear itself.  It will rob you of living life fully.  It’s okay to make mistakes as long as you get back up and try again using the valuable information you gained from the unsuccessful attempt.  So if it brough education to the table, was it failure?

 

Is it lack of knowledge or experience that holds you back?

 

If you are not ready or prepared, educate yourself and do the prep work; then move forward. 

 

If you conclude it is fear holding you back, remember this is your perception of what might happen if you make your move. 

 

There are times when the road ahead gets foggy, so to speak.  Sometimes we have to go with the flow for a while until the current of life changes.  We have no choice on what life may throw at us. The lessons can be hard. Learn what you can, when you can. Persevere and accept during the times when it is appropriate.

 

Challenges can test our attitude and our perseverance.  Life can be tedious and challenges are in place from time to time and we just need to persevere.  We grow exponentially during life’s hardships and learn from life’s lessons, willingly or forced.  The latter is the hard way.  When a life lesson knocks, tell life to bring it on! Challenge yourself willingly. Learn the lesson, grow and move forward. That is truly living!

Why not address higher sources and make a request? 

 

If you feel you are ready, truly believe that you are. 

 

There are forks in the road but there are no wrong choices, just easier routes and harder routes. Sometimes we move in leaps and bounds, and at other times, progress happens in little segments but each steps takes you to that next level. 

 

Don’t be in a hurry as rushing often slows down the process.  When the time is right, what needs to happen will.

 

If you feel a shift, it has already begun.

 

Metaphysical/Spiritual journeys or conquests take place when the time is right. There is nothing you need to defeat or overcome other than fear, a feeling of unworthiness or lack of confidence. WITHOUT YOU, THE PUZZLE IS INCOMPLETE

Many of our readers have asked in many different ways how they can make things better.

 

Can one person make a difference?

 

We have talked about the ripple effect on many occasions. One small act can touch countless people.  

 

Currently, people are talking about the stress they are experiencing and the need for change on a deep level. We have heard that the world around us currently looks grim leaving many feeling anxiety and despair.

 

We can do our part to change the world for the better, even if in ways that feel minute.

 

Currently, we see and experience the effects of war but there is also much going on beneath the surface too.  The struggles we experience take a toll on each one of us in different ways.  Some hold on and keep everything inside, others react externally while others, through their discomfort, can, intentionally or unintentionally, cause difficulties for others.  We become enveloped in stress and anxiety by taking on the energies around us, both from people and from our judgement of their actions.

 

Is this a turning point or transition period globally? 

 

It certainly feels like it.  We are at the precipice of change.  Transition is always painful as we make way for the change.  Those with influence should take a leading role in making life better for those around them, pressing for peace and safety. 

 

What can one individual do to push for peace?  I’d love to hear your suggestions.

 

Don’t think that you and your little piece of the puzzle won’t or cannot influence the whole.  Without you, the puzzle is incomplete. You and your contributions are needed. Will you influence peace, hunger, isolation, loneliness, ………..?

OWN IT

Whatever you might be doing right now in your life, own it. Regardless of how it might look to you at this point, on some level it is supposed to be.

 

If this is a good experience, wrap your arms around it.  If this is a stressful experience, embrace the lesson as it is an educational experience.  The faster you learn the lesson, the faster you can move beyond it.  This too will pass.

 

I truly believe there are no co-incidences in life. There is something valuable behind everything in life, sometimes we recognize it and sometimes the value is hard to see. If you can’t find the “why” behind what is taking hold life, let it go. It will be revealed eventually.

 

Taking responsibility and making it your own are two completely different energies.  Sometimes life happens and the events are out of our control. We are not to hold the responsibility. Learn the lesson and move on. Do not own it. If we hold on to challenges in life, or take up residence in these challenges, we create an experience where we only see challenges and we are held captive.

 

We are at the mercy of some life experiences, and we cannot alleviate these lessons. We can, however, at them as lessons and change our attitude towards the experience.

 

Explore life below the surface. What lies there?

 

If we look at our experiences from a different vantage point (not as a victim) , we can find answers. There is a time for everything in life. Whatever is happening right now, own it just for the moment so you can learn from it and then move on. Life is to be lived!
