PATTERNS IN AN ASTROLOGY CHART, PART III

We are continuing with our focus on the many different patterns that can be found in an Astrology Chart from April 23 and 25, 2018.

Locomotive or Open Angle Pattern

In the locomotive pattern, the planets within the horoscope all fall inside 250 degrees.  In this chart pattern, there will be no more than 60 degrees of empty space without planets.  So no planets within the configuration will be separated by more than 60 degrees.  The chart area that does not contain planets linked together will cover the area of a trine, so 110-130 degrees of unoccupied territory.  If a chart has all of the planets within this pattern (linked to 250 degrees of space or less) then the two outside planets will be in trine to one another.

When this configuration is found in a chart, there are some energies that operate similar to strong Aries tendencies.  These individuals will be enthusiastic, will have a lot of energy and will often have qualities that provide a strong determination to succeed with whatever endeavours that are important to this individual.  They are self-driven and motivated.  The midpoint of the trine, so the midpoint of the empty space, will be linked to the area of life that the individual will be driven towards to achieve.

The first planet connected to the Ascendant whether by conjunction or even just separation (for example the Ascendant is at 5 degrees, Taurus and Mars is located at 21 degrees Pisces) moving in a clockwise direction is known as the driving force behind the motivation.  The energies of the planet, its sign position and house location will be the driving force used to bring action into the midpoint of the trine.  So using our example above, Mars will be the driving force by sign and house placement that pushes into action the midpoint of the trine in the empty space.

If Mars, for example, is in Pisces and located in the twelfth house, the energy will be to secure financial or security in life aimed at the midpoint of the trine.  If, for example, the midpoint falls in the seventh house and in the sign of Scorpio, these energies would deal with providing security and financial stability within the marriage or through a business partnership.  Scorpio’s energies could make this a matter that runs deep and that goes through transformation and new beginnings because of this push.

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO APRIL 29/2018

The Full (Pink) Moon occurring on April 29, 2018 at 8:59 p.m. EDT is in the sign of Scorpio at nine degrees. 

During a Full Moon, the Sun is in direct opposition to the Moon.  Full Moon’s energies often speak of the culmination or harvest of our efforts.  With the energies related to Scorpio with this Full Moon, these energies might be directed inwardly.  Scorpio’s energy wants us to dig deep and uncover even the most challenging conditions.  Scorpio wants us to bring these conditions/emotions to the surface and deal with them in an appropriate manner (not to brush them under the carpet).  Scorpio’s ruling planet is Pluto and Pluto’s energy deals with regeneration and transformation.  Its energies often speak in terms of endings of some sort so that something new can come to the surface.  This process can be somewhat challenging emotionally and sometimes the truth is hard to face.

Ceres and the North Node are tied by a t-square to this Full Scorpio Moon.  Both Ceres and the North Node are currently in the sign of Leo at 10 degrees.  The North Node speaks of our life’s direction and our path forward.  Ceres’ energies work in similar ways to the Moon’s energies.  As a result, nurturing and caring will be part of this harvest story.  Ceres is mothering and wants to provide emotional comfort.  It is connected to our life’s path.  With Ceres in square to both the Moon and the transiting Sun, these combined energies suggest that our path is opening up but it needs some care before we should venture forth.  T-Squares in Astrology provide the necessary push and the ability to succeed with our objectives, but we are required to put forth a lot of energy. 

Check your personal chart to verify which house Ceres and the North Node are transiting through as this will indicate which area of life that will be affected for you. 

The T-square suggests that you need to motivate yourself forward and find balance between the transiting Sun’s position and the Transiting Moon’s position.  We naturally tend to lean too much in one direction (again the area of life is represented by the houses involved).

Transiting Saturn sextiles the Moon and trines the Sun is considered favourable even though Saturn usually implies hard work and discipline.  Saturn is at nine degrees Capricorn and also in Retrograde as of the 18^th of April, 2018.  With Saturn retrograde, unlike all the other planets, we can use its energies of caution, responsibility and teaching to advance our objectives tied in with this New Moon.  (All other planets want us to plan during retrograde motion not take action).

There are also two Yod aspects in place.  The Yod forms quincunxes from the Moon and Saturn to Venus, and also quincunxes from Venus and Mercury to the Moon.  Yods often point towards turning points in life when we have to deal with a predicament either by making actual changes to things or changing our perception towards the events as they are unfolding.  Since Venus and the Moon are highlighted, this could involve some relationship that may need to be transformed and emotional adjustments will need to come to the surface and be dealt with. 

This is an extremely powerful Full Moon with all of these configurations playing a part in the process.  Again, take a look at your natal chart to see which areas of life might be involved.  This configuration will primarily be in effect for those with this Full Moon attached to the natal positioning of Planets.  You can give yourself about a 3-5 degree orb of influence and the tighter the orb the more significant the interchange.  Conjunctions will be the most powerful, then oppositions and then squares.

Use these energies creatively and make the best of the energies at hand.  Remember even the harshest of conditions can be nurtured by our focus and care.  Squares can be turned into trines, in that we can use these energies to foster growth and create much needed change ultimately with a positive outcome.  Look to what you can do to fully benefit these energies.  Make these energies work favourably and take responsibility.  At the same time, recognize that others certainly have their part in the process and whomever or whatever the situation may be, all parties should work towards a favourable outcome together.  If only one (you) is willing to work, make sure that you will benefit from your efforts.

SOUND LEADERSHIP

 In our classroom of life, some individuals take on a leadership/teacher role.  They find themselves either consciously drawn to these calling or some are seemingly thrown into this role as life progresses.  Is this destiny?  Possibly, but no matter what the reason, this role is a dual one.  The teacher will find that their role is also a learning tool available for their own personal growth as well.  

It is the wise individual that looks at life’s experiences as a lesson delivered directly to them to foster growth on some level.

No one is here by chance.  There are so many significant factors in our lives that that we cannot take lightly and leadership roles can come in many forms.  These roles can be found throughout our workplace; the family unit, groups of friends or through the world wide web for example. 

Some have been handed leadership responsibilities to facilitate change and growth within their immediate surroundings.  Yet others, like our world leaders, have a responsibility to lead vast numbers hopefully based on the greater good with higher principles, such as fairness, honesty, integrity and justice.  They are role models simply by being observed by many.  Ego should not and cannot play a role in this responsibility.  When accepting the responsibility of leadership and to do the best job possible, we have to renounce our own individual agendas to fulfill our obligation and purposes for the needs of the many.

Regardless of how we measure our responsibilities and commitments to others and ourself, each of us have leadership roles. Leading by example and representing the best possible expression, without pretence, is a wonderful role to fulfill. 

Responsibility lays in our own personal perception and will differ significantly from one individual to the next.  The best we can do is our own personal best but do not look for reward for your efforts as that is only fulfilling the ego. 

Integrity can be measured by conviction and our acceptance of responsibility without conditions.

PATTERNS IN AN ASTROLOGY CHART, Part II

Continuing with our post from April 23, 2018, we will look at the Bucket or Funnel Pattern

The bucket or funnel pattern is similar to the bowl pattern with one variation.  The bucket Pattern will have a planet or 2 planets that are closely tied into a conjunction removed from the bowl at least 30 degrees but preferably closer to 90 degrees away from the bowl.  The separated planet(s) should oppose the centre of the bowl pattern.  This configuration only comes into play when the central planet in the bowl positioning has this opposition from the opposing planet(s).

Individuals with this bucket pattern pronounced in their birth chart will funnel their energies through the handle of the bucket.  The handle planet(s), its sign and house position will signal the energies that this individual applies most often.  A person with this configuration is comfortable using these energies and will personify this expression when seeking gratification and fulfillment in their endeavors. 

The energies can differ significantly depending on the planet or planets involved in the equation.  For example, the energies will be used in a completely different manner if the energies were linked to the planet Saturn than if the energy was attached to let’s say Mars and Uranus in conjunction.  Those with Saturn in this opposition would be very comfortable expressing their need for the fulfillment of their plans using a more structured and disciplined approach.  Those with the conjunction of Uranus and Mars would be ready and willing under most conditions to move freely into something new without too much deliberation or preplanning. 

The house position would determine what area of life would be involved.  If, for example, this was a tenth house position, then the Saturn individual would pursue their career options with a certain amount of hesitation and prepare for their objectives in a very steadfast manner.  The individual with the conjunction would push rather unhesitatingly, headfirst, without much reserve into these personal objectives.  These individuals would be willing to bend, if need be, with the transition of their motives while those with Saturn would not bend easily with the flow of things.  The Saturn individuals, however, would offer a more structured approach that perhaps would be better received by those in positions of authority.

REMEMBER THAT THE MIND IS NOT THE MASTER

Many of us connect our mind’s interpretation and its focus with who we are.  We identify with this focus and intently listen to the mind’s constant chatter. 

As a result of our focus on the mind’s chatter, we experience extremes in our emotions.  We can be swept along aimlessly and we fail to realize or question this habit.  Many of us are not aware of our ability to detach ourselves from the mind.  We can choose whether to listen to the thoughts and chatter however and we have a choice whether we own what is being said or not.  It is a choice, whether conscious or unconscious what we take on as our own and what act or react on. 

Some of us are learning the art of distinction and perception.  We are now guiding ourselves by channeling our thoughts in different directions.  Positive thinking, channeling our perception away from habitual responses, meditative techniques and mind’s focus are some practices and actions can utilize to help us separate from our mind’s auto response process.  There are countless self help and psychology books as well as numerous speakers that can assist us with our focus techniques if we are struggling with this.  Our main objective however is to recognize that we are the determining factor to our success or what we deems as failures.  Although others can help us facilitate expansion of awareness, we are the ones that have to do the “hands on”, “practical” work involved.

Similarly, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc. can help us find our way by providing ideas and to help us understand the “why’s”, but we ultimately are responsible for our own understanding and changes in direction. 

We heal from within and ultimately the biggest factor of change is whether or not we decide to make change.  The little voice that is often referred to is our higher self or source is always a reliable guide.

It is imperative that we understand our place and responsibility in this life.  Are we convicted to our lessons of growth and freedom? 

We have the power to move in whatever direction we choose and to rise above any events in our journey.  Life is a miracle to be fully experienced including every twist and turn.  Experience this moment with gratitude.  Recognize our ability to rise to the top (whatever our definition of the “top” may be). 

Love life fully as life will always mirror what we put out.  What are we seeing in the reflection of our life’s mirror?

PATTERNS IN AN ASTROLOGY CHART

Today we are going to touch on two of the many different patterns that can be found in an Astrology Chart.  We will continue looking at the various patterns in our Astrology posts to follow.

Splash Pattern

The splash pattern in an Astrology chart would have all the planets spread throughout the whole chart.  There should not be any more than two planets found in any given house and there would be no more than three houses found without a planets located within them.  The houses with no planets found in them should be spread throughout the chart and none of these houses would be adjacent to one another.

With the Splash pattern, the energies would be similar to the energies of Gemini.  Gemini individuals tend to have many interests and will often scatter themselves in many different directions at the same time.  They like variety and rarely become overly familiar with one particular topic.  This layout of the planets and luminaries is similar to this as the individual tends to scatter their energies rather than focus their attention on any one particular area of life.  Remember the houses in Astrology indicate different areas of life.

Bowl or Hemisphere Pattern

The bowl pattern is very much looks like a bowl as all of the planets are found within 180 degrees of one another and the other half of the chart is empty of planets or luminaries.  The bowl pattern can be found anywhere in the chart regardless of hemisphere positioning.  Some Astrologers allow up to and include 190 degrees of used space, with the remainder 170 degrees being left empty.

As all the planets are found in a relatively confined area of the chart, these individual operate in a self-sufficient fashion.  Many rely on themselves in comprehensive and conclusive manners, the energies of which are identified by the houses that the planets are found in.  The first planet from the ascendant identifies the energies used by the individual to accomplish goals and reach their objectives.  If you take the midpoint of this configuration (the half-way point between the two outside planets) and look at the opposite point of this midpoint, the area by house and sign position is often the area of life where the energies of the individual will be focused.  They can work within the area where the planets are found but will primarily focus their energies at the opposite end of the midpoint of the bowl.  This is often an area that needs to be integrated into their lives.

SUN IN TAURUS APRIL 19, 2018

The Sun moved into the sign of Taurus last night (April 19, 2018) at approximately 11:15 p.m. EDT.   Check an ephemeris for your local time zone.

The typical characteristic off a Taurean individual is one of reluctance to move forward if unprepared, which differs significantly from that of the previous Astrological sign, Aries.  Taurus is known for their plodding and steady approach.  They are relentless in their pursuits, and they are the astrological sign that offers stability.  They want to move ahead but only after deliberation and contemplation, as there is no rush and rushing only causes mistakes.

As mentioned, Taurus individuals are steadfast.  Their feet are firmly placed on the ground and they offer security and stability.  They are reliable, structured and look forward to what can be put in place now to secure the future.  Many think long term when it comes to the financial future.  They like security and will often begin planning for their retirement long before most other Zodiac signs.  They seek long term results and are willing to take the long route to get there.

Taurus (which is ruled by the planet Venus) is often attracted to things of beauty.  Taureans love a fine car, and their homes often reflect their personal tastes for beauty.  It is not unusual for a Taurean to be refined in their taste. 

Taurus’ individuals are generally earthy, practical, unwavering and secure in their approach to everyday living.  They can be relied upon and their word is often all you need.  They are resourceful, appreciate hard work and are very disciplined in their approach to life.  Honesty is very important and they respect those who approach life with this quality. 

Taureans often take things at face value and appreciate those that say it as it is.

These individuals are slow to anger, but once they are angry, they can hold on to grudges for far too long.  Some never forget injustices, and although they may not show it, hurt can run deep.  They are reflective and introspective.  Those with strong Taurus traits will keep much to themselves, although they will share with those that they feel will take them seriously and who will not share what has been expressed in confidence.  They are somewhat private although not as private as Scorpio or even Capricorn.

When it comes to romance, Taurus individuals are passionate, although not lusty.  They are usually faithful and will stay true through thick and thin with those they hold dear.  If they find that their partner is disloyal, they may or may not (after long deliberation) resort to leaving a longer term relationship but even though they do not leave, it does not mean that they have forgotten.  They are loyal and expect the same in return. 

Taureans will offer their partner security on many levels, can be relied upon to speak the truth, and will remain steadfast to their commitment. 

They are comfortable with their chosen few and in some ways could be considered loners, although they can be social when they want to be.  They have the ability to express themselves in a strict manner and yet offer affection and love to those they cherish.

ATTITUDE TOWARDS LIFE EVENTS

We at Holm Astrology have always advocated a positive attitude towards life events and far be it for us to ever change this objective or focus.  Our personal view of life should always be from a positive perspective regardless of what transpires at any given moment in time.  We feel it is also important to not use any avoidance schemes or measures when life offers up something that you feel is less than ideal. 

We are not meant to skim on the surface of life, although we are also not supposed to get caught up in what transpired in life, regardless of whether or not it is viewed as pleasing or stressful.  Simply experience the moment.  Experience the energy of this very moment only.  Acknowledge that whatever is happening in this moment is transpiring for a reason.

Nothing in life fails to support us in some way or another no matter how traumatic we allow the outcome of any given even to affect us.  The very events that we tried to run and hide from often turn out to be the lesson that holds the most value in our earthly journey. 

We cannot escape whatever it is we need to experiences.  It should not be our intension to escape anything life offers us, although if something stands in the way of our evolution, then we are not doing wrong by moving out of this condition.  Conditions in life support us, but some are much more tedious than others.  If a situation has outgrown its usefulness and no longer serves a viable purpose then why remain within its confines.

Our attitude towards life’s circumstances will always help us condition ourselves to what is taking place.  We do not have to live within and own any type of horrendous conditions.  We always have freedom of choice, even when it does not feel that we do.  Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances that have to be played out before we can move forward but we are never stuck.  Change is guaranteed. 

In most cases, we have the ability to shake off the shackles that restrain freedom of movement.  It is only our own attitude and belief structure that hold us back.

JUPITER SEXTILE PLUTO APRIL 2018

Transiting Jupiter and transiting Pluto are within one degree in sextile with one another for most of April, 2018. 

Currently Jupiter is in retrograde motion and stays in retrograde until July, 2018. 

Pluto will move into retrograde nearing the end of April until the beginning of October, 2018. 

These two planets will make a close sextile with one another into May and again the aspect will tighten up September, 2018.  If you have planets in the 20 degree mark in your natal chart, these two planets will be making aspects to your natal planets.  Much will depend on the aspects between these two planets and the natal positioning as to how this energy works. 

The sextile between these two transiting planets speaks in terms of transformation and change in a big way.  Pluto will change anything that needs revamping while Jupiter adds to the energies by expanding whatever it touches.

Pluto will initiate change and often disruptive change, although the transformation it initiates will be required.  Jupiter in sextile to Pluto can bring forth positive changes once things begin to settle in or just make things larger than life.  Often it will work in both ways.  Since Pluto is in Capricorn and Jupiter is in Scorpio, a natal planet that falls at the midpoint would be favourable.  Any planet around the 20 degree mark of Sagittarius would probably be influenced in a positive manner.  This aspect (30 degree semi-sextile) often speaks of opportunities and being in the right place at the right time.

Much will depend on which houses these planets are transiting, the natal planet being aspected and their house position as well as which aspects that these transiting planets are making to those positions.  The natal houses affected will be the areas of life involved.  The energy of the natal planet and aspects received will define how these situations may unfold.  For example, Venus and Jupter could bring positive results whereas Saturn could bring challenging conditions and might test your resilience.  Once again the aspects tell the story. 

If you were to just to take into consideration the transits and nothing more, these energies suggest potential expansion on an inner level and you would be reflective and view yourself making positive changes to enhance your growth spiritually. 

If finances were part of the picture, this could be a very promising time (that is if the transits are favourable). 

If the energies are work related, you may get recognition for your efforts.  A potential push from your superiors is possible if Saturn is involved and in a favourable position.  A trine to Pluto and a sextile to Jupiter would be very promising.  A planet at around 20 degrees Virgo would create this configuration or on the flip side, a planet at 20 degrees Pisces would bring Pluto into sextile and Jupiter into a trine.  This would be favourable as well.

IN THE MOMENT

Our true state of well “being” is not dependent upon our life’s circumstances.  Our state of being is reflective of our thought process that we have developed.  This thought process generally comes about as a result of life events.  Our state of being rests entirely within the framework of this particular moment, nothing more and nothing less. 

Our attitude about the state of our conditions is all that stands in our way of or that works in favour of our well being.  Our mental attitude toward life and its events can develop into an attachment if we decide to take them on, own them and dwell on a thought, event or belief structure.

We cannot escape the moment.  When the mind shifts to any type of recall of events that we have experienced, do not fight them but simply accept the recall for what it is within the current moment and then let it go.  These events truly belong in the past and have nothing to do with this moment. 

This intentional action of acceptance creates a flow of energy which simply passes through us momentarily and then opens the door for a different type of perception.  If we choose to hang on to the thought, it becomes a part of us because we own it or identify with it.

The eternal moment is actually silent.  It neither looks back at conditions or events nor does it look ahead to what might be.  It resides only now in the second.  It accepts what is within that given moment, never venturing off course.  The moment is a very quiet place as there is no reflection and there is no preconceived notion on what might happen in the moments to come.  This moment is just concerned with its surroundings and its instantaneous reaction within that moment.

Our minds are what judge events and circumstances.  Our minds’ categorize past events or anticipated events as good or bad.  We are not our minds; we are the one listening to the mind’s insistent, babbling chatter.  Again, we are not our minds; we are the listeners.  If we identify with the thoughts of the mind, we will take on the energy of those thoughts.  The energy in each thought is very fleeting.  The real us is not fleeting.  We are constant.

Our state of being is based on what we choose to call our own and this in itself is temporary.  We can refocus our attention and change our perception but even this is temporary too.  The effort of refocusing actually takes away from the moment.  Refocusing will help take away from anything that feels intrusive, but it is still the mind’s reaction.  We are better off experiencing the moment and then letting it go.  By doing so, we are here now.

If we are sitting in a chair and watching the sun set, we are in the moment.  Regardless of what has transpired throughout our day, being in the moment will reveal a whole new instant which has nothing to do with the day’s past events. 

This “watching the sun set” in itself is an act of meditation and will quiet the mind. 

Everything, absolutely EVERYTHING is still within the moment.

TRANSITING PLUTO CONJUNCT VENUS

This post on the transit of Pluto can apply to the conjunction to natal Venus, progressed Venus and Venus in the solar chart.  How we interpret the energies will depend on which house Pluto is transiting and also its natal position along with the house that Venus is located in within the current chart.  Is this aspect currently in your chart?

Regardless of where these planets are located in the Astrology chart, Venus’ energy focuses on relationships and Pluto can have profound effects on the sexual content of these relationships.  Pluto adds passion and intensity to sexual unions and although it signifies a passionate relationship, it will not be without some type of energy evolving around control issues.  Pluto can be very compulsive, even obsessive and seeks domination and power.  Therefore, any relationship which began under this influence will not be a light-hearted one.  Your involvement will be all inclusive and the potential for transformation on deep internal, physical and emotional levels are indicative of this combination.

You are likely to have power issues and one of the partners may want dominance over the other. This is not a passive encounter and although the encounter will be heightened to the extreme, there may be some struggles along the way.  You will undoubtedly be looking for an intense encounter.  How intense are you willing to go and what boundaries will you put in place?  You might have trouble setting boundaries with this relationship.

If this relationship is already established, you will still have powerful needs and will want instant fulfillment. There are no half measures under this influence in a relationship and if you feel as though you are not satisfied with the relationship, be careful not to be swayed by your desires.  It is, however, a time when you can uncover any psychological interference that might need adjustment.  This will be the time that these issues may surface.  Handle the situation in a gentle fashion.  Remember that sex and love can be sensitive areas and your partner can easily become hurt if you do not use tactics and deal with these issues through your heart.

Have a close look at your chart and locate Mars.  Once located, check to see how Mars is aspected.  This aspect will either make things easier or more challenging.  Mars provides the motivation and drive required for any union.  If it is in aspect to Venus in the natal chart, this will add to the flavour of this transit.  If Mars is in a challenging position to Pluto, this could mean some type of confrontation or test. 

I would be amiss if I did not note that you should be careful that you are not aligning yourself with the potential for violence.  I am not suggesting that there will be violence but need to give a warning. 

The whole chart should be carefully delineated to provide a complete understanding of what is taking place in your life and with this relationship, (if there is a current relationship).  Without a relationship this could be a very frustrating time, but this too will pass.

2018 COLLINGWOOD BODY & MIND PSYCHIC FAIR

NEW MOON IN ARIES - APRIL 15, 2018

As many of you know, a New Moon speaks of a time to plant seeds, a time to push into new adventures and forge ahead with things that we may have put on the backburner. 

Mercury will go direct (and end its retrograde cycle) on April 15, 2018 which it the same day that we experience the New Moon in Aries (9:59 p.m. EDT).  Mercury retrograde cycle is a time to review plans and then once Mercury goes direct, we can push ahead with our ideas or plans.  The combination of the New Moon and Mercury going retrograde is a perfect time to plant the seeds of our goals.

I have read that some individuals connect the energies of this new April moon with truth and a need to forge ahead on some level.  This could be due to the influence of Uranus’ conjunction to this New Moon.  Transiting Uranus is at 28 degrees and the New Moon is at 26 degree and both are in the sign of Aries – the sign of energies geared to push ahead.

The New Moon’s energy, as mentioned, speaks of a new cycle of energy pushing us to start anew with projects, with life objectives and personal plans.  With this Moon phase being in the sign of Aries, this drive to push ahead is reinforced and we will be pushed even harder than normal.  It may feel as though nothing can stop us if we decide to make that move.  The “move” itself may be somewhat eccentric or unusual or it may point in a whole new direction because of the influence of Uranus.

Both Uranus and the sign of Aries are geared for action, taking a new direction and pushing ahead because of the desire for change.  It is important that you have been using the energies of Mercury retrograde and hopefully thinking deeply about what you are planning to do.  Make sure that it is for the good of those concerned and that you are not acted rash and in an unprepared manner.  Find a place within where you can review your objectives clearly and do not rush headlong into something that you feel unsure about or have not done you due diligence with.  The energy will be powerful and the need to advance will be great, but the necessary planning should be in place before you move.  Mistakes can happen under the “headfirst” influences of Aries and Uranus. 

Sometimes Uranus’ pushes for change and something new is exemplified with these energies and although in general Uranus does push for needed change, these changes can happen in rather unexpected manners.  Find ways to germinate these seeds of adventure through planning and do not just simply jump ahead without forethought.  Do not, however, hold yourself back simply because of a fear of failure.  The energies of Aries make it quite easy to pick up the pieces and begin anew if necessary. 

It is a push and pull situation.  If you are taking the necessary time to re-evaluate your options, move forward and plant those seeds.  If you are certain about what it is that you want to do then push ahead full steam.   In about 6 months’ time, you should reap the rewards of your efforts or if you did not nurture your seeds as you should have, it will be a time to do some weeding.

Be sure to check to see which house Uranus and the New Moon are located in within your chart.  This will provide you with information as to which area of life will be influenced by these energies.  The house that your natal Uranus is located in and the aspects to Uranus in your chart will also provide some details as to what to expect and also how these energies might unfold.

THE ART OF LEARNING

One of the greatest gifts available to us is our ability to learn and then in turn, the ability to use these teachings to enhance our lives. 

There are many ways we can learn.  It is important, however, to adapt an attitude of openness and to realize that we can and will always learning.  We will never have all the answers and this is okay.  Even in situations where we have been approached for help and we are offering advice in support, it is just as important to listen to what those seeking advice have to say as we can learn from them.  It is a give and take experience. 

A frequently missed too for learning, when we are offering advice to others, it is equally important that we heed the advice we are offering as help.  Reinforcing the basics in any lesson is never futile.  Knowing what advice to give or what to say at any given moment does not mean that we actually live the advice we are giving.  Sometimes the advice or solutions come from within…from a higher source.  The message can be just as important to us as it is to the person we are orally delivering it to.  The art of listening is one of our greatest learning tools. 

Many of us are short on listening and often this is exactly what is required in the moment.  Many of us find it hard to simply sit quietly and listen as the mind loves to interfere.  (Meditation is a wonderful tool to overcome this interference and teach us the ability to hear messages from our higher self.)

Many of us gain information through reading and studying.  Again, many of us gain knowledge through the practical living of each and every day.  We learn through our working conditions, our close associates, our loved ones, nature’s examples, etc. 

The greatest learning tool available to us is life itself.  It holds many different teachers and lessons.  We learn and remember the lessons from these experiences, particularly the tough ones.  If we take the time to reflect on these experiences, we can draw much knowledge and grow experientially.

It is important to listen when we need to listen and quiet the mind’s interference.  There is much to learn and the opportunities for learning never diminish.  What a wealth of opportunity available to us.

PLANET ON THE MIDHEAVEN

Any planet which is found to be conjunct (same degree) to the MC or Midheaven (2 degrees conjunct from the ninth house or 5 degrees conjunct from the tenth house) has a profound effect on our goals in life and our drive to succeed or our drive to make a name for ourselves.  The closer this planet is to the MC, the stronger its influence will be.

Since the MC is connected closely to our profession and public status, this planet or planets will influence our ability to succeed.  Also look at any aspects from other planets to the MC or any planet that fits this conjunct criterion for more information on the energies of this aspect.  These natal statements will certainly colour our profession and our ability to achieve in life.  It has been noted that around 5 percent of the general population has this conjunction within one degree of the Midheaven.

If you have for example Saturn within this orb of this Midheaven conjunction, there would be obstacles and challenging conditions linked to making a mark in life or achieving recognition for your efforts.  Saturn, however, does offer great potential when you work meticulously and conscientiously towards your objectives.  If you have put forth great effort, the likelihood for success is there but there may be some type of delay in reaching your goals in some way.  We have the potential to make any aspect work positively in our life regardless of challenges attached.  We may just have to work harder and have faith in our own abilities, however.

If, for example, Jupiter is conjunct the MC, the potential for growth and expansion as well as some good luck especially if the aspects from other planets also point in this direction, will be increased.  The sign and planetary link on the MC defines, in part, our occupation and drive to succeed.  Having Taurus or Aries on the cusp of the tenth house or having Saturn or Jupiter in this place would certainly have a profound and different approach to how we would address our push for advancement and also our occupation’s potential.

There are other factors that can determine what we might want to do for a living, such as our Sun sign and house position, our Ascendant as well as our Nodal positions, but the first place to provide us with direction would be the MC and any planet conjunct its position.  Many famous people have planets conjunct this position in their chart. 

The Midheaven’s sign, any planets conjunct this positon and the ruling planet of the MC play significant roles in determining what might fit into our occupational profile.  It also should be noted that if any angle especially the MC or ASC degree falls in the “Aries point degree”, the potential for recognition (even heightened potential for fame) is increased.  The Aries point is any angle which is from 0 to 1.5 degrees in a cardinal sign (Aries, Caner, Libra or Capricorn).  The closer to exact (degree), the stronger the possibilities.
