We must give credibility to the importance of meditation. Many of our readers are on a spiritual journey and want to advance their internal connection. When we practice meditation regularly, not out of commitment, but out of the shear desire to find alignment with our inner self and connection with source, the passages open and are more easily accessible.

 

Without meditation the evolution is not hindered but does not move as easily or readily as it does with a quiet mind. Meditation is the key to our inner evolution and our connection to what exists beyond the day-to-day. If growth is our goal, we owe it to ourselves to utilize this practice.

 

We are here for earthly lessons and to benefit mankind in some way, even if we find that it is only in a somewhat limited capacity. Life continually changes and as we grow into our true selves much more begins to unfold. We do not know where we will end up as far as spiritual enlightenment goes but we can assist in its development. Meditation is a tool for this.

TRANSITING URANUS SQUARE THE MIDHEAVEN

Squares are considered challenging aspects, but on a positive note, they often force us into action. Something needs to be done or changed to alleviate the stress or obstacles. We need to change situations and find solutions as the stress factor is too significant to ignore.

 

When the Midheaven (MC) is involved, it often relates to our occupation or career although it can also speak of our status, goals, aspirations and path ahead. Changes will or need to take place in these areas. We are not at the mercy of life but we know that we need to shift or we may become at the mercy of forced change.

 

Perhaps a career path is no longer available. Sometimes we can do something about it and sometimes we just need to adjust. In many cases we get warnings that change is needed. Other times these changes can be sudden and we may not be prepared for what unfolds. This is especially true if Pluto is also involved.

 

This square may indicate that changes are in store with our marriage and life’s status is moving in a new direction particularly if the 7^th house is involved. You may be able to make changes without the relationship ending and other times the end is permanent. If there is an opposition to this placement, there likely is someone else involved.

 

It is important to realize that Uranus although it seems impulsive, the changes are required. Over time we may come to the realization that our new path is far better. Sometimes we need to role with the punches and sometimes we need to fight for our rights. In either case, change and an awakening takes place. STAND UP FOR YOU

If you have been struggling with “acting” due to concerns or worries about how that particular action might be received, you might want to think about both the benefits and the consequences. If the benefits outweigh your concerns, you might want to make your move. We are not talking about aggressive action, or an action that can injure someone; we are talking about taking action because action is required.

 

Perhaps you have been contemplating action for some long time and you are concerned someone else may get emotional because of your actions so you have held off. Perhaps its time to push past these concerns as long as you are sure the outcome is beneficial. Standing up and fighting for what you need or believe in does not necessitate physical altercation. Speak your mind in a way you wish to be spoken to and make the moves that are necessary.

 

You and your needs are important too. Recognize that if you have been holding back because someone wants something from you or does not want to let you move forward, you need to take that first step for you. The first step is always the most difficult.

 

If on the other hand you have always pushed for what you want with little regard for how it affects others perhaps you need to examine the “why” behind your moves and how it might have affected others. You may not always like what you see, but honesty and integrity should play a part in your journey. Perhaps fighting for what others need might be the best move at this point.

 

Take time to analysis the situation and then prepare for your next step. It is not always easy, but the life issues that you address with honesty and compassion will eventually make your journey authentic for all involved.

TRANSITING JUPITER TRINE THE MIDHEAVEN

The trine from transiting Jupiter to the Midheaven (MC) is considered a very favourable aspect. Jupiter the planet of growth and expansion fosters good luck and opportunities especially if it goes into retrograde and passes over the same degree more than once. Jupiter is known as the greater “benefic” and has the greatest potential for bringing in what we wish to achieve or it helps us move in the appropriate direction for advancement.

 

When connected to the MC it often suggests that opportunities for expansion connected with the career including a personal business if you own your own business, a raise in pay or recognition for your efforts and often development and progress. In some cases, things seem to flow freely with little assistance on your part, but it is always recommended that you push ahead and work with the energies as they are so favourable.

 

Jupiter also relates to advanced teachings linked to your philosophy of life. This may represent a time when opportunities are presented to further your journey and make sure you are on the best path.

SELF REFLECTION

Do you admire a specific quality in others?

 

Do you have a personal quality that you admire?

 

We want to focus on the qualities you admire within yourself, the respect you have for yourself and the loyalty you have for yourself, others and your personal objectives.

 

Admiration must begin from within. Appreciate the qualities that you have already brought to the surface. Know that they are part of you.

 

What you admire in others is already a part of who you are or you would not even recognize these qualities.

 

Be convicted to your goals for yourself. Hold on to what feels right and is reflective of who you are. We are an ongoing project, always developing and always evolving.

 

Be loyal to yourself. Respect the qualities that you have built on and be true to yourself. Trust yourself but realize you have much more to learn. Be open. Find peace with that.

 

You are never off track no matter how it feels or what you think. AQUARIUS TRANSITS 2023

T Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since mid-December, 2020 and will move into Pisces in March, 2023. Those with their Sun in the later degrees of Aquarius will be influenced by this conjunction of Saturn and their Sun. Those with their Sun in the earlier degrees have already been influenced by this.

 

The Sun deals with the progressive movement forward in our lives among other things. With Saturn in conjunction this will or has been a rather testing period especially for Aquarians with challenging aspects natally to their Sun. Sun in Aquarius wants to move away from anything that no longer serves a viable purpose and Saturn wants to hold on to what feels comfortable and familiar. This may be/have been a time for putting things into their proper place, replacing what needs changing and adhering to what still promotes growth through diligent effort and consistent application.

 

Saturn may restrict especially while in direct motion but when it was retrograde it may have assisted in a forward motion (unlike other planets in their retrograde motion). Personal changes may have taken hold plus more responsibility. These changes will likely have been necessary as you will discover after this transit has passed.

 

T Pluto will move into Aquarius early next year (2024) but its influence will likely be felt before this date. This will bring forth many major changes to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Aquarius, where something needs to end for something new to begin. There are no half measures with Pluto and its change and transformation is total although it usually takes some time to recognize why these energies were in place and how they will benefit you in the long haul. The house where your Sun is located and the aspects to it will determine how this all plays out. No matter what, be ready for change and disruption.  Don’t resist. This is needed!

NEW MOON JANUARY 21, 2023

On January 21, 2023 we will be experiencing a New Moon at 1° of Aquarius.

 

For this New Moon to have a profound effect, you will need to have a planet or angle Conjunct, Opposition or Square to this position in your natal chart. The tighter the aspect (allow up to 3° orb of separation) the stronger the influence. Take into consideration the planet or angle involved, its sign, and house position.

 

A New Moon signifies new beginnings (a time to plant seeds). All beginnings suggest that an ending is also in place. A new cycle has arrived. Set your intensions, work to rejuvenate anything that requires more work, become introspective and meditative on what you wish to begin. If necessary bring others into the equation so they can help you manifest.

 

Aquarius signifies new goals involving groups of people who are like minded or who have humanitarian concerns. Aquarius wants us to come out of complacency and initiate the new so that stale energy can be released and we can awaken to new possibilities.

 

Uranus is the ruling planet of Aquarius and is known as the awakener so be ready for the unexpected, have an eye on future potentials and push ahead.

 

The New Moon’s energies of New Beginning is exemplified due to the conjunction of T. Pluto to the moon. Pluto (28° Capricorn) wants nothing more than to permanently remove anything that no longer serves you and to change your direction sometimes in rather abrupt ways.

 

Pluto transforms and regenerates and is anything but subtle. It may take time to realize why things unfold the way they do. Much depends on the other influences in the birth chart (aspects to the angle or planet involved) and what has been in place up to this point. Change on a grand scale is due but you might want to sit back and see what unfolds. Orchestrating the change and putting your print on the equation is always a good idea however. SUN IN AQUARIUS JANUARY 20, 2023

On January 20, 2023 the Sun moves from the Cardinal, Earth Sign of Capricorn into the Fixed, Air Sign of Aquarius. Aquarius is a progressive, idealistic, and somewhat eccentric sign. It has been noted to have bohemian and rebellious tendencies but working towards humanitarian ventures. They have humanity at heart and are here to develop an action plan that moves individuals & groups out of complacency.

 

Aquarians are known to be unique and walk their own road. They are not afraid to admit that they walk to the beat of a different drum. They are independent, do things their own way and can be radical in their approach. They are ahead of the time and because of this people find them hard to figure out. RESTRAINED ANGER

Anger is a normal emotion. Should we restrain our anger?

 

Do we not expressing our anger as we know if we let it out, we experience a less than desirable outcome?

 

Expressing our emotions is essential. Anger must be released in some form or another. There are many ways to release emotions. Exercise, meditation, going for a walk, “taking in” nature for example are perfect pre-conversation releases before having a viable conversation about what is creating the anger response.

 

“Holding in” can build resentment or bitterness especially if we are not able to forgive and put the trigger in the past.

 

Do not allow others to live in your head. I have heard it said, “they do not pay rent to stay there”.

 

We cannot change the past but we can move forward from it. Forgiving is an important step in reconciliation, but it is not always easy.

 

Our health can and will suffer whether mentally or physically because of pent up anger. That is a high price to pay.

 

Move on and learn from the incident.

TRANSITING SATURN TRINE NATAL SUN

Most trines suggest easy flow and opportunities, however, with Saturn in transit there is a degree of challenge. Saturn always indicates hard work and a disciplined effort. The trine from Saturn may suggest fewer obstacles but still some effort.

 

It is important to recognize the difference between Saturn in direct motion and Saturn in its retrograde motion. Saturn is the only planet that while in retrograde its energies are more favourable than in direct. A direct aspect from Saturn produces hard work and is a testing period with obstacles and delays.

 

Saturn in retrograde often produces less obstacles and opportunities that can produce a solid foundation that stands the test of time. Opportunities are more evident, and the outcome has a greater chance of success although it will not come without hard work and no corners can be cut. Saturn’s rewards can be quite satisfying. If you don’t put forth the effort, however, you will not reach your objectives.

 

Saturn is the teacher of the Zodiac and when connected to the Sun it can speak of working on yourself to make changes, setting higher standards and the “how” on moving forward.

 

The Sun can also reflect our energy and health. When in trine with Saturn, the Sun can indicate a need to look after ourselves from a physical perspective but at the same time the trine helps us to achieve what we set out to do. The Sun is who we are internally and our life objectives. Often the sign and house positions give us clues to the path we will take and the avenue of expression we decide to use. With a trine from Saturn our path may be clear and concise.

 

When it comes to internal changes we must take an honest look at ourselves especially if the Ascendant is also tied in somehow. We can review what we objectively realize and come to terms with the matters at hand to make the changes to attain a higher inner perspective or whatever we wish to honour.

 

Saturn can help with the decision making especially if Mercury is conjoined with our Sun or if either planets fall in the 3^rd house. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

The formative year up to about the age 5 are said to be the most important years for a child when it comes to the formation of character, inner strengths, and insight for the future. As parents to a child, we need to help them build a solid foundation that will take them through life. Parenting of course does not end at this early stage, but the groundwork is somewhat set.

 

Teaching them from a higher perspective is important. It is imperative that they understand that life is in their hands and attitude is the foundation for success and enlightenment as life progresses. The right attitude regardless of how their life unfolds is of utmost importance as it will help them navigate through life’s lessons and help them to take advantage of opportunities whether presented or created.

 

Children need to believe in themselves and to follow through on their aspirations and dreams. They must be willing to work to achieve, but again attitude is key to success or failure. Belief structures and expectations are important factors for all of us but the earlier we make it second nature, the less barriers we create.

 

Teach them about love and compassion but also teach them to go by their feelings in times when something just doesn’t feel right. Intuitive reasoning can open gateways to further exploration into the psyche and finding full awareness. A healthy attitude and self-constructive evaluation are building blocks to being our true self and for advancement on many levels throughout life’s journey. Give them the encouragement and nurturing they require to feel safe and secure within.

 

We hold the keys that can be passed on to our loved ones by lessons but especially by example. Life is a giving experience but also entails receiving when things come our way.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE TRINE THE SUN

Neptune during transit can have two distinctive effects. Depending on the aspect involved, Neptune can be deceiving or vague, blurring reality and allowing us to be lost in the illusion of what appears to be or it can bring spiritual insight, alignment with the psychic realm and intuitive revelations.

 

When in trine (most favourable aspect) to the Sun it can bring indicators of finding your path through psychic interpretation and discoveries into yourself which would not otherwise be available. Meditation allows insight and an inner knowing of why we are here, opening doors to further awareness and understanding.

 

Our goals in life can also be revealed and the true nature of the why behind this incarnation can express itself. This can be a period of deep inner reflection and revelations through an awareness of other worldly influences. This is by no means a fly-by-night adventure because Neptune in transit can have a lasting effect after the transit is over which may last up to 2-3 years depending on when it transits into retrograde and goes direct again.

 

The trine aspect indicates easy flow and opportunities although the belief in such things works wonders in comparison to someone experiencing this trine who does not believe in the mystical realm. Even those that do not believe may experience influences that they cannot define in ordinary terms. We feel during this aspect rather than intellectualize.

 

After this transit passes many never look at life through the same lens that they did prior to this period. We may have been taught the more relevant concerns in life and made a connection to other realms of existence. Be open to experience and meditate as often as you can. ALLEVIATING PRESSURE

We all search for ways to alleviate pressure/stress from life. Our experience can be challenging when life presents us with many difficult lessons. We can become anxious and worry about outcomes. We can become stifled and feel lost if we lose focus.

 

Taking back control by accepting responsibility is step one. We cannot however take responsibility for someone else’s actions only our response to their actions. We walk our road, and if we allow it can easily be influenced by the actions of others. Look closely and recognize what is yours to own and allow others to own their own.

 

In moving forward in this manner, we can begin to alleviate stress. We accept our part in the ongoings and know that others are responsible for their own. If their actions affected us, we can move beyond this and not own it.  Their actions reflect them not us.

 

If we need to forgive ourselves for our actions, we can move forward with this as well. Letting go after careful review is essential. Holding on for any longer than needed to process, repairs nothing and often brings on more hurt, worry or anxiety.

 

In many cases no one else can alleviate life’s pressure although speaking to someone with knowledge on how to handle these situations is often helpful but ultimately it is you that takes the action to solve any issue. They provide you with tools, but these tools must be used, or they serve no purpose.

 

Realize you are much stronger than you think. Hidden strength is realized from taking the first step to emotional independence. It is always in our hands to activate energies that will propel us forward. There is always assistance available, and the major source of this assistance comes from within.

JUPITER SEXTILE THE SUN

The aspect of Jupiter in sextile with the Sun is one of the most awesome placements we can have in a birth chart. By transit it usually suggests opportunities at least while the aspect is in force. In the natal chart the opportunities represented by this fortunate aspect can be long lasting depending on which planet is aspecting this placement by transit or progression.

 

Remember the natal placements are stationary and they need stimulation by transit to create energy. Once activated through transit or progression this placement suggests that opportunities for growth and expansion are highlighted. The closer the natal aspect is to being direct (sextiles are 60°) the more powerful its expression.

EASY GOES THE JOURNEY

There is no need for rush to develop our evolution/growth. Push and pull will never hasten success over the long haul. If we rush ahead, we make mistakes and can tire quickly. Persistent effort and the ability to move ahead regardless of obstacles is essential. One step at a time. We cannot skip any steps along the way.

 

Do not get caught up in what may feel like stalemates or stagnation. If we are not ready to move, we won’t; even when we feel we are ready. If we feel stuck, we can ask ourselves “do we need a rest or what other work needs to be done?”

 

Go easy on yourself. We are not running the quarter mile race. Endurance and persistence win this journey. There will be obstacles along the way. That is part of life. CANCER FULL MOON

We will experience a Wolf Full Moon @ 16° Cancer on January 6 @ 6:07 p.m EST. This Full Moon falls in the 2^nd decant adding a hint of Scorpio to the energy. It is in opposition to Mercury @ 17° Capricorn and is sextile Uranus at 15° Taurus. Check your chart to see if this Full Moon affects you. The more it influences the natal chart, the more influence affecting your life.

 

Full Moons are a culmination point of what was set in motion 6 month earlier during the New Moon in the same sign. The energy we put into a goal is directly related to the harvest of the fruits of our labour. This is a time to harvest, re-evaluate our ambitions and calculate what still needs to be done or to refurbish our goals.

 

When in the sign of Cancer (with some Scorpio influence), this likely has to do with family, friends, the home environment, and any nurturing that might be included at this time. “Looking after” might be a good phrase to simplify what this is about. Some re-establish a home environment that perhaps was not in place prior to this time. Family members may move in or some may decide to move out.
