NORTH NODE IN GEMINI

 We continue our focus on the North Node in the various Astrology signs.  Please read our introduction in our post on November 30 www.holmastrology.com/apps/blog/show/49548847-north-node-in-aries to get an understanding of the overall influence of the North and South Nodes.  It will assist you in understanding the information we are about to provide for the North Node in Gemini. 

 

The sign placement and house position define where we are meant to go (North Node) and what we have brought with us to assist in this life’s journey (South Node). Some Astrologers feel that the house placement is more relevant than the sign and others feel that they deserve similar importance and that both are quite significant in their own way. The house position is the area of life where we play out the energies of the sign position and the sign position is the expression we are meant to pursue.

 

Having the North Node in the sign of Gemini in this incarnation suggests that life is to be pursued with vigour and excitement.  You are here to learn and gather information particularly pertaining to the house that the North Node is located in.  Schooling on all levels will be an important factor moving forward, and you may even study more than one subject at a time.  However, if this is the course of action, finish one subject completely before moving on to a new subject.  There can be a problem with not finishing what you set out to do.

 

You are here to gather information and then pass it on as your communication skills will be something that you will be working on as well.  You will be a teacher/student in this life and have the aptitude and hopefully the desire to move ahead.  Sometimes the North Node is not an easy path which at times can make the desire to move ahead difficult, but as we continue along our life’s path, it becomes easier as the door opens.

BE BOLD AND ABOVE ALL ELSE BE TRUE TO YOURSELF

 In the face of adversity, what is your best mode of defense?  Do you run and hide behind the veil of uncertainty?  Do you seek shelter from the colds winds of aggression and attack? 

 

How do we respond when our backs are against the wall? What is our best approach when the prevailing forces or circumstances seem to weigh us down?

 

They say that fighting aggression with aggression only creates more of the same and we tend to agree with this. 

 

If we are attacked physically or emotionally what is the best approach? 

 

I am not referring to a war situation.  I am referring to situations when we are prisoners of our own personal attitude and/or affected by other people’s personal behaviors.

 

You have to stand up for yourself when need be and use your inner power to rise above the situation at hand.  Sometimes life comes at us from all directions and we are forced to find or remember that inner core strength and find ways to survive and conquer.  Through our own acts of determination and strength, we reach within and find the power to not only carry on through these situations but to rise above them.  In so doing, we find stamina and perseverance. 

 

We reach within and find hidden strength that we never knew existed and the determination to overcome any adversity that stands before us.  Our strength comes from within and we all have the capacity to overcome.  We emerge stronger, more resilient, and ready to forge ahead with our heads held high.

 

We are the masters of our destiny regardless of what stands in the way.  We have the ability and the know-how to pull from our own resources.  We are much more powerful than we realize and nothing stands in our way that can’t be rectified or adapted. 

 

We have what it takes and always have.  The only things that stand between our mastery or our defeat is our ability to transcend our thoughts and rise above life’s conditions that once seemed impenetrable.

FULL MOON DECEMBER 29, 2020

We will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Cancer at 8 degrees on December 29, 2020, at 10:28 p.m. EST.  If you have a planet or have an angle within three degrees of this degree (8 degrees), especially by conjunction, opposition or square, this Full Moon will have an effect in your natal chart.

 

Full Moon’s energies speak of culmination points where the work you put forth over the last six months now come to fruition.  We reap what we have sowed and if we have done our due diligence and required work then we can now reap the rewards and enjoy our harvest.  If we failed to do the required work, we may now see shortfalls or failures and we may have to begin again or pick up the pieces and make alterations to our plans.

 

Since this Full Moon is in the sign of Cancer, a nurturing sign connected to family and the home environment, these are likely to be the areas related to this upcoming Full Moon.  It can be an emotional period lasting about one month as the senses are heightened and concern for others is high on the agenda.  There is a strong mothering nature attached to Cancer and you may want to protect those that are close to you.

 

Some people will make changes to the home.  Some move or redecorate with an effort to make the home as comfortable as possible.  Some will go deep into subconscious concerns and deal with these concerns particularly with those they care for or with themselves. 

 

Nurturing can be internal or self-focused.  It is important to look after your own needs at this time as nurturing and caring for others can be quite strong.  This is particularly related to your children, your spouse, parents and extended family (include friends).  The house placement of this Full Moon will provide further indicators of what areas of life are involved.

 

Transiting Uranus is sextile to this Full Moon’s placement.  Uranus tends to create change, needed change and can be quite disruptive, although the change it brings or suggests is just what is required.  The old set of standards may have outlived their significance and now a change of direction is needed. 

 

Sextiles speak of opportunities and we should address what this suggests in personal terms and how it might affect our current conditions.  These changes can come in an unexpected manner and be abrupt in delivery.  You can expect the unexpected, but remember, this is an opportunity aspect so you will have to pay attention and take advantage of the energies at hand.

NORTH NODE IN PISCES

 We are continuing our recent focus on the North Nodes.

 

If this is your first North Node read, the Nodes play a significant role in the path that lies ahead and what we experienced in a previous life linked to this one.  The North Node is new for us but it is the path we are to learn and travel during this life.  The South Node can help us reach this objective but should not be pursued even if it feels comfortable and is easily attainable.  We can use the energies of the south node to help us achieve what is indicated by the North node but we must not ignore our north node journey because of the comforts of the South Node familiarity.

 

With the North Node in the sign of Pisces (the house placement should also be studied, as it is the area of life where our objectives defined by the North Node will be accomplished) our goal has to do with spirituality and faith.  We are here to fulfill a higher order and learn how to merge with the field of consciousness connected to source.  Our goal is not to achieve this state but to recognize that it already exists within our collective being.

 

In a previous life, we were very much connected to practical application and organized.  We would have been structured mentally but now we must let go of earth matters.  With a Piscean North Node, we are here to understand the forces beyond what many consider normal and to rise above mundane concerns connected to material focuses.  Freedom is found with the intangibles, with the unseen, and through visualization and our connection with the whole.

 

The Piscean North Node individual is here to learn compassion, selflessness and to have faith in the process recognizing that something much greater than what we identify with in earthly terms is the guiding force.  Insight and intuition are in play and can be found simply by opening up to this potential.  Mystical alignment and spiritual understanding are brought forward to enlighten the search and will keep these individuals on their path. 

 

Pisces North Node individuals will find that life dictates at times as they will be found in the light of encouragement to pursue these paths.  These opportunities will often be right in front of these individuals and always within reach even when they do not believe that they are available.  Ego will try to interfere in the search for truth although this is an egoless incarnation where in many cases the plight of others comes before the Piscean North Node’s own needs.  The door will continue to open although meditation practices can help the procedure and vivid dreams will often point the way or define the path in the moment. 

Those that do not choose to follow that objective of their Piscean North Node may find that they turn to drugs or alcohol to escape from this new reality.  Escapism and martyrism may be part of the experiences that find those unwilling to work towards the innate knowledge that is found with the North Node in Pisces.  It is imperative to accept the truth of the awakening with this North Node placement.

A SPIRIT IN HUMAN FORM

 As you continue in what can feel like a mundane existence, you may question what this life is all about.  Why are we here doing the same old routine jobs, and continuing along the same route?  What is the purpose?

 

These are common questions. 

 

Throughout life we do have extraordinary and exceptional experiences from time to time.  Sometimes these events challenge us to move in a very different direction; sometimes they awaken us to new avenues of experience and expression. 

 

Life can be very rewarding and at times, it can also be very repetitive.  These latter periods of relative calm can last for extended periods of time.

 

It is important for us to realize that over time we become so accustomed to and focused on everyday routine that we forget our connection to spirit.  We have said it many times over the years, we are spiritual beings living a human existence and have chosen this life’s experience and all its intricacies to further our evolutional growth. 

 

Many of us, although we believe that there is a higher purpose and feel connected to a greater whole, do not understand or are barely aware of the spiritual energy (self) that resides within.  We contemplate such as possibility but have difficulty fathoming the reality of it.  Opening the door to your inner reality and allowing that potential to become forefront without judgment can unlock a channel to your getting in touch with this connection.  Through self-study and acceptance, as well as meditation practice, we can facilitate that association although it constantly exists, even when we are unaware of it.   

 

We are Spiritual beings living in an earthly existence because there are valuable lessons that can promote growth that are only attainable through the physical realms. We move from physical existence into a spiritual form from one life to the next until we have educated ourselves to the point that physical existence is no longer important.  Upon retaining this level of understanding and evolutionary progress we move into our spiritual connection and once again learn what we can and offer guidance to those still going through their earthly experiences. 

 

Currently, particularly, it can be difficult to understand, nor are we capable of fully understanding, this new unfolding adventure in our physical form. 

 

We do understand that meditation can help our understanding and assists us in becoming clear and more open and quiet so that we can receive inner communication. 

 

Our life’s experience is exactly what we came here to embrace and we choose to experience major events with the knowledge that it will facilitate growth, enabling us to move in our intended direction.

Yule – WINTER SOLSTICE

 The Winter Solstice (Hibernal Solstice) falls on December 21 at 8:30 a.m. EST in the northern hemisphere in 2020. 

 

December 21 will be the least amount of daylight we will experience in the northern hemisphere as the sun is currently on a very low arc in the sky for our area. 

 

The good news, the day light will start to get longer and our precious sunlight will soon return.  The arc will heighten and the days will slowly lengthen.  As nature sleeps and the light is low, we can use the longer nights to reflect on our journey.  Go inward to work.  We can plan our intentions for when the energy and the light returns.  Mother nature always knows best.  Follow her example.  Look at the rest of nature.  Many species are hibernating or slowing down and resting and waiting for the return of light, for the return of warmth, the return of the energy that nurtures us mentally, physically and spiritually.

 

Our current lesson is patience.  Utilize the wait to look deep into the shadows of self.  Bring light to the darkest corners of self.  Fill each corner with love and allow spirit to grow.

 

Is it coincidence that during Yule season (the rebirth of light), many celebrate the birth of Christ for example (the rebirth of salvation)?  This is a time of celebration for many, whether it is Yule, Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, etc.

 

We have much to celebrate.  Be filled with promise, with faith in all that is, with gratitude, with love and with inner healing light!

SUN IN CAPRICORN DECEMBER 21, 2020

The Sun moves into the signed of Capricorn this year late on December 21, 2020. 

 

Those born in the sign of Capricorn are known to be serious-minded individuals, who are somewhat reserved, conscientious, and reliable.  They are usually well equipped to manage others and do well in the world of business and enterprise.  They are often leaders in their particular field of expertise and many Capricorn individuals work towards greater achievement.  Their commitment to success is high on the agenda. 

 

They respect authority and that which is tried and tested although their superiors will have to be respected in their field and have worked their way up the corporate ladder through hard work as this reflects the Capricorn individual’s own intentions.  These individuals are leaders, not followers but will listen to advice and then make their own decisions as to which route to take.  They are not risk-takers and understand the meaning of hard work and disciplined effort.  They know that it takes time to move ahead and as a result, they are builders.

 

Some have issues with negativity.  This is due to the ruling planet, Saturn, which often makes things difficult and the energies of Saturn will not allow short cuts.  Worry and anxiety can be a part of life when life is not moving along as it should.  This negativity can be kept well under wraps to the outside work and no one will know that this is what is taking place in their life.  Capricorn individuals normally appear quite in control of life’s situations even when they are not.

 

Those with their Sun in Capricorn have or will be experiencing the conjunction with Pluto which at this time is at 23 degrees.  Pluto has been in Capricorn for about 12 years and will not move into Aquarius on a permanent basis until late 2024.  Conjunctions signify a conjoining of the energies associated with the planetary.  In most cases, there is a certain degree of emphasis on the area of life represented by the house position influenced by this powerful combination.  Transiting Pluto can be felt up to 5 degrees in its approach before the actual conjunction occurs and will be felt approximately 2 degrees after it separates.  It lingering effects are often not fully comprehended for about one to two years after it has completed its connection.

 

Pluto transforms, regenerates, and signifies an end of conditions and then the beginning of something new, quite separate from what was in place prior to that time.  There are no halfway measures about Pluto and its impact is powerful and life-changing.  There can be ego disputes and disruptions almost without measure and when tied to the Sun, life’s path is subject to total and complete change.  The transformation, if adhered to, is not as challenging as it is when one tries to dispute where life is taking you.  We are often swept along usually feeling little control of the situation and we must learn to adapt to these changes as they are often a prerequisite to the change needed to what no longer serves a purpose.  The new is brought into play because this is actually where we need to go.

 

The Sun can be very personal and these changes may be on an individual level.  The Capricorn individual may be forced or asked to have a close and personal look at who they are and what they want from life.  This is particularly true if the Sun is somehow connected to the Ascendant and this aspect will identify how these energies might play out. 

 

The Sun also has to do with our path in life which may be tied to our career or health, and Pluto can have a profound impact on our well-being and our course of action.  What we do in this regard and how we handle any energies placed in these areas can be defining moments.

 

Pluto and the Sun are the forerunners to change, and adapting to these adjustments is important on how life moves forward at this time for the Capricorn individual.  A deep reflective period is likely and a close analytical approach is advised.

AGENT OF PEACE

 In a world filled with judgement and adversity and ravaged by those that control through fear and twisted truths, how do you continue to allow our true, loving self to shine through?  

 

How do we balance the energies of the world with love and compassion over acts that inflict great pain and hatred? 

 

What is your part?

 

Amongst the turmoil, no, especially during the turmoil allow you love, compassion and peace to shine through.  In your little corner of the world, bring good and the reminder to those struggling that they have the power to prevail. 

 

Bring peace through peace.  Grow love through giving love.  We cannot fight pain by causing pain.  Creating pain only intensifies the lash back for those that initiated the pain as they feel justified in their actions.  Hate promotes hate.

 

Fighting battles through love is not a sign of defeat.  You are not giving in to those that promote pain by standing your ground through acts of kindness and love.  You are proving the strength of love and compassion. 

 

Be that agent of love; be the example of peace.  Plant one seed at a time.
