LUNAR ECLIPSE JANUARY 31, 2018

A blue moon is the second Full Moon experienced within a single calendar month.  From the expression “Once in a blue moon”, it is obvious that it does not occur very frequently.  It actually happens once in every 2.7 years.  This morning, January 31, 2018, was the peak of the full Leo Moon.

With this blue moon, we also experienced a Lunar Eclipse.  The Leo Full Moon was at 11 degrees 37 minutes.  Lunar Eclipses are powerful energies and force us to pay attention to the areas of life that are being highlighted through the energies of the house it is found in within our personal Astrology chart.  Eclipse’s energies are asking for change and its apparent path often can cause our emotions to flair. 

The Moon in Leo is rather dynamic in its expression and may push us to be more outspoken than normal and somewhat fearless especially when connected to family and relationships of significance.  We may find it hard to keep our mouths shut when facing adversity.  We can be somewhat outspoken when it comes to expressing our attitude towards those that may need our help or advice. 

We may have a tough love approach although because of the close conjunction with Ceres, there is a strong need to nurture and take care of anyone that needs our help.  The Moon and Ceres are similar in these energies, and Leo may be a little too controlling although anything offered by Leo this will come from the heart.

As this is a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are in opposition to each other.  At times there can be a challenge between what we do in our working environment and how we balance and provide nurturing within the framework of our family.  There is a pull in both directions and often one lacks because of the focus we have on the other.  We will want to do our best within both areas of life, but one demands more of our time although both need our attention. 

This is also the time to harvest what we sowed during the New Moon in Leo some 6 months ago.  If we began a project or focus under the influence of the Leo New Moon, this may be the time when we review our “garden’s growth” from that planting period and finalize the harvest.  Alternatively, if we have fallen short in nurturing the plants of our plans, now may be the time to either tend your goals needs or till the soil and start over.  Sometimes we just need to cut our losses and walk away.

Eclipses can be known as the bearer of news of importance.  This can touch many areas of life.  Again, as mentioned, we need to look at the house the eclipse occurs in within our personal Astrology chart.  If it is transiting the 7^th or 5^th house it would speak in terms of relationships, in the 6^th or 10^th house in terms of work, the home, and family if in the 4^th ,  health if in the 6 or 12 or if connection to our ascendant (rising sign).  If in the sixth, it may also speak of dedication to service, pets, health and hygiene.  If it is the twelfth, it may also speak of places of confinement such as hospitals, jails and hidden matters as well as mystical unfolding.  The finances may be affected if the 2^nd or 8^th houses are involved.  One thing is for sure, the energies of an eclipse are to push us towards our goals and often create a turning point in our lives.

A further effect on these energies would come from other planets within orb (up to 5 degrees) aspecting this position.  You can expect challenging conditions if Mars, Saturn and sometimes Uranus and Pluto are involved.  You can expect things to work in your favour if the Sun, Jupiter and Venus are aspecting this placement.  Remember these planets and important angles (Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven and Imum Coeli) are natal positions and not transits, although transit can also have an effect.  The transits can have an effect but it must be linked to the natal potential before their influence has much affect.

EMOTIONAL DISRUPTION

Sometimes the best laid plans will go awry and because we do not always travel the path we prefer, we allow our reactions to be emotionally intense. This allowance can be tough on us and if we continue to battle back, we feel as though they will never end. This feeling and thought structure can leave us quite depleted and without direction. This is a temporary state of affairs, however, and will also pass if we allow ourselves to let go and change our attitude. 

Nothing remains the same in life. Shifts of consciousness and shifts in circumstance often run hand in hand.

Sometimes we have to let go of where we have been and take new paths that can be quite foreign to us. This can be frightening but at the same time very exciting. 

Take the bull by the horns and move forward. Sometimes we need a little push from life or from others and other times we take those first steps on our own. The latter choice is usually the easiest in the long run. It is usually best not to wait for others to push us to make change. 

Each one of us has the capabilities to move ahead, but need to recognize this fact and to face our fears. We may feel at the mercy of life, but this is just a belief. 

Emotional disruptions more often than not signify the need for change, and we must allow ourselves that freedom to grow and expand. No place of disruption is okay. We do not have to stay within any type of energy of confinement or with an energy that feels anything less than fulfilling. 

Do not wait for life to dictate that change must take place. It is usually much more pleasant and less disruptive if we take those steps ourselves. 

This IS your life! Live it to the best of your abilities. Never sell yourself short.

MINI FORECAST FOR SUN IN AQUARIUS Part II

We have already discussed the impact from transiting Mars and transiting Jupiter on those with their Sun in Aquarius on January 26, 2018.  Now we will provide a little more information for those with their Sun in Aquarius as well as those with their rising sign in Aquarius.

Uranus, consistently since March of 2011, has been in sextile with those who have their Sun in Aquarius.  Those with their Sun sign in the early degrees will have completed this sextile now.  Those Aquarian with their Sun in the later degrees will have it in effect until May of 2018.  Uranus will then moves into Taurus and will be squaring those individuals with their Sun in the early degrees of Aquarius.  You can allow an orb of influence of 5 to 7 degrees approaching and 2 to 3 degrees separating (once it is past) your Sun sign degree.

There is a difference of energies between those with their Sun in Aquarius and those with their rising sign in Aquarius.  Aquarius rising will also have these energies in effect but the energies will affect these individuals’ life’s expression, their relationships, their finances and in some cases their health.  Much will depend on other aspects to this position as well as aspects within the natal chart. 

For those people with their Sun in Aquarius, Uranus sextile will have influences with life’s goals and objectives, personal pursuits which may not be evident to those outside of close friends’ circle and family.  These energies can also have an effect on the health of the body.  Generally, the sextile offers up good health unless of course there are other factors in the chart identifying something to the contrary.

Uranus is the instigator for change in our lives.  It is constantly reaching for something, but usually only when things have gone stale or change is a requirement of the individual’s personal advancement.  Uranus can be rather abrupt in its expression and often creates sudden and unexpected events to unfold.  Along with this sudden change, quite often it will be experienced with a dynamic release.

This is a time when these individuals can change direction and move away from how things were and move towards new and often exciting experiences because of opportunities showing up in your life.  Sometimes these things can come out of nowhere and other times you have to initiate the action.  It is best to move ahead with these matters when they present themselves to you as the timing is ripe for new experiences and with the potential for growth.  Their self-expression may now be enhanced.  There is more freedom in doing this than may have been present before, although Aquarius is often freedom seeking and self-expression, under most conditions, is not an issue.

There may be more opportunities for advancement in the career.  If they have become complacent with their goals in life but wish to move forward, now is the time to step up.  Sextiles often speak of opportunities to come to life and although they may think that perhaps the higher forces are directing these things into their life, Aquarius individuals may still have to pursue what has been brought to their attention.  This is a freedom aspect and Aquarians are best to take advantage of the energies at hand.

MINI FORECAST FOR THOSE WITH SUN IN AQUARIUS (Part one)

Before we go into detail with this mini forecast, it should be understood that this is far from a full picture of how the transits and progressions are lining up with anyone with their sun in Aquarius and your full natal chart.  This post is a very general summary for all individuals with their Sun in Aquarius.  Other combinations within the Astrology chart can and will dilute this information or can actually enhance it. 

We will be touching on three aspects.  Two of these aspects will only involve those with their Sun in Aquarius between 15 or 16 degrees to 29 degrees (so those born in the second half of the sign). 

The first aspect we will discuss, Transiting Mars, will affect all individuals with Sun in Aquarius at some point in the transit, which will end on March 17, 2018.

Mars is currently in the sign of Sagittarius, often suggesting a push towards higher learning, philosophical pursuits, religious inclination and optimistic life approaches.  Mars is aggressive in its pursuit and when in the fire sign of Sagittarius cam willfully insist on pursuing whatever this path maybe that any Aquarian is choosing to follow at this point in time.

When in sextile (a 60 degree aspect), the energies are opportunistic and very favourable.  When involving the Sun, it may be time to advance the approach with a little more vigor and rest assured unless there are other factors in the chart offsetting this placement, the opportunities for advancement are much more influential than they would any other time.  This is a favourable aspect if this Aquarian individual chooses to pursue it. 

The house the natal Sun is in and the house being transited by Mars will be the areas of life that are affected.  The energy and drive will be directed into the house that the Sun is residing in.  Also have a look at where the Aquarian’s natal Mars is located as this will give them hints as to how the energies might play out.  Some of their goals especially those they have had in the back of their mind have potential for growth at this time. 

Jupiter currently (January 2018) is in the sign of Scorpio.  Because Scorpio is three signs away from the sign Aquarius, this angle between Jupiter and the Sun is a square.  This square indicates some challenging conditions along with the favourable potential brought on by the Mars aspect previously mentioned.  In most cases a square (90 degree aspect) indicates some strife, some challenge, as well as some obstacles to overcome.  However, Jupiter, known as the most favourable planet in the horoscope, nearly always offers perks in some form or another.  The energy may suggest some challenging conditions along the way in reaching these goals, but Jupiter also suggests that if the Aquarian follows their instincts and does this in through proper channels and hard work, the potential for achievement is enhanced.  Jupiter insists that things are done on the up and up.  Some struggles along the way can be anticipated but the final outcome looks promising.

Aquarians will be affected by this transit between Jupiter and the Sun if their Sun is between 8 and 29 degrees in Aquarius.  Jupiter will go into retrograde on March 9.  It will be at 23 degrees (so it will not affect those with their Sun in the very early degrees as mentioned as transits have a range of influence of about 5 to 7 degrees when approaching a planet or an angle in the birth chart and about 2 to 3 degrees while separating from the planet or angle).  While Jupiter is in its retrograde cycle, its energies are somewhat harnessed.  Jupiter will stay in retrograde from March 9 until July 10, 2018.  During this retrograde period, it will move from 23 degrees back to 13 degrees so if you have your Sun in these degrees it will pass over that particular degree and then pass over it once again when it goes direct.  The energies are enhanced when Jupiter passes close to the degree of your Sun and then will be at its peak when it directly (same degree) hits your Sun. 

Jupiter will remain in Scorpio until November 9, 2018, when it moves into Sagittarius.

ARE THESE TROUBLING TIMES?

Take a hard look around you.  Did you judged the situation of the world at large? 

It is far too easy to assume that these are troubling times.  The media focuses on negativity and this leads us to believe that our world is in a state of chaos.  It is our own personal responsibility to strive to bring peace back to our own little corner of the world.  This will create a ripple effect.

Did you know according to many studies, in the United States of America for example, that violent crime rates are actually down significantly?  You would not realize this from any news broadcast that you watch.  Survival is a primal response.  The news broadcasters know that violence converts into viewers.  It is not by co-incidence that there are very few “feel good” reports in the news.

That being said, there is always room for improvement.  The time is always ripe for positive intervention. Is it not time for those of us who are on this journey together to play our part in the healing process for individuals, for Mother Nature, for the world as a whole? 

We cannot sit back and wait for others to nurture.  It is essential to play a positive role.

We are rich with guides and most importantly, the guide within is most reliable as it/we are connected to source.  Go within and enjoy the wealth.  More often than not we look for answers outside of self, forgetting that our higher self in connected to all that is.  As a result, how we choose and whatever we choose to offer is perfect and will always be timely. 

We can do our little part and in so doing, we are stimulating others to do their part.  A small action from you will create a mighty wave further down the river of life. 

Belief in yourself can bring about ground-breaking healing and change to everyone. 

Help yourself and in turn you are helping others.

TRANSITING SATURN TRINE THE MOON

At the time of preparing this post (January 2018), transiting Saturn had just moved into the sign of Capricorn.  In this piece, we will focus on the transit of Saturn trine to the natal Moon.  If your Moon is in Virgo or Taurus in your natal chart then transiting Saturn at some point over the next 2 ½ years will make a trine to your natal Moon.

Saturn in trine to the natal Moon is most often harmonious in its expression, although Saturn does imply that you may have to put diligent efforts into your plans you for the future and for the home and family. 

This is a great time to lay the foundation that may apply to the family, especially where young children are concerned.  The family holds special relevance at this time and you have to be thorough and consistent with them.  This may include making things safer for them or providing them with an example where they can learn from you what it takes to build a solid foundation.  If you have teenagers or young adults, teach them responsibility, help them understand that they are the orchestrator of their lives and that the decisions they make can have profound effects later on in life.

If the recent past has be somewhat challenging for you, you may now find that things settle down and are more in balance than what they were previous.  Saturn has to do with work and worldly goals and the Moon deals with emotional response to the world. 

You may find that during this trine that the two seem to be working together in more harmoniously than in the past. 

Taking care of matters related to the home and the world of business.  This including your work, your finances and any purchases made recently for these may now seem to work better for you.  This is a time of organization and the building of a concrete base that will provide security for yourself, your family as well as business concerns in the future.

You may also find that older people in positions of authority or those with experience can assist you at this time, as Saturn is associated with these people.  Older woman or experienced women may play a significant role under this influence as well.  You are now able to listen more intently to learn especially when they speak to you about financial and business concerns as well as the home and family environment.

YOU HAVE TO WANT TO DO IT

Many of us carry out various practices such as meditation, energy healing, delineating synchronicities and self-help techniques that add to enlightenment and awareness in our lives.  These are all viable practices and are certainly a tool to assist us to progress and grow.  These are not a want; they are a need.

 

When we are focused on the intent to continue forward and believe in what we are doing, the energies unfold and the changes and awareness are enhances.  Enjoy and truly experience the process, whatever this may encompass.  Those individuals that simply go through the motions or do it because they believe it is what is needed may notice little advancement from a personal perspective although they are still advancing in general terms.  Once we open the door, advancement is always part of the process.

We can never go back to where we once where or to whom we once were prior to this transition.  Our eyes have been opened.  I am quite certain that most of us would prefer to walk towards the light of awareness and be taught the lessons that bring enlightenment, no matter how difficult. 

Many of us are guilty of the lack of patience and the journey, in many cases, is slow and can be somewhat tedious at times.  Patience is obviously one of the important lessons.  If, however, you take the time to look back even over one year, you will come to the conclusion that much has changed and you are moving along rather nicely.

The more you are in line with the steps to move ahead and enjoy the lessons that are required, the greater the advancement.  The more you go with the flow, the better the results.  You have to want to succeed and appreciate the steps that are taking place in your life. 

There are countless individuals that are sleeping and feel no need to move beyond their current level of life.  This is certainly their choice and may be an important lesson in their life. 

If you are reading this, however, you have a stirring within.  Do not become complacent.  Recognize the honour in sharing life with those around you.  Open up to the gifts that are available to you.  Never waste an opportunity.

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT NATAL SATURN

In astrological terms, a conjunction of Transiting Saturn to Natal Saturn happens around the 29^th, the 58^th and the 87^th birthdays.  Any of these Saturn conjunctions to its natal positioning is known as the Saturn Return. 

The house position of Saturn in the natal chart describes the area of life that is emphasized during this aspect and the sign position (currently Capricorn, January 2018) describes what some of the characteristics might be.  Any natal aspects to this position will also have an influence on what takes place and how the energies unfold.  The influence of the conjunction can take as much as one year to complete as sometimes Saturn will go into retrograde and pass over the same degree again (within 8 degrees approaching and 5 degrees separating) before it completes its cycle.

If Saturn is challenged in the natal chart (squares, oppositions, and many conjunctions and to a lesser degree semi-squares, quincunxes and Sesquiquadrates) this period can be quite difficult.  Many do find that the first return of Saturn to its natal positioning in particular to be quite difficult.  Saturn does have a reputation for making things challenging and seems to test our resilience but also rewards us for hard and diligent efforts.

The conjunction of transiting Saturn to its natal positioning is often a pivotal time in our life’s journey.  It often a very important time and herald’s life changes like never before (especially with the first return of Saturn).  Quite often the time leading up to this return cycle can be tumultuous but much depends on how you have been living your life up to this point.  This is often a time of great change and often our view on life significantly alters because of life’s circumstances that seem to be out of our control. 

At this time (January 2018) transiting Uranus is squaring this position and pushing for change in rather dynamic ways.  If you are experiencing this aspect after January, 2018, you may not feel so impacted by life events that are out of your hands, because Uranus will be out of the orb of influence.

Quite often people speak of changes in relationships and changes within the working environment.  Some move out of the parental home (usually at the first return at 29 yrs old) and take up residence somewhere else.  Others buy their first home or sell their house and move into another house.  Some finish their schooling (although many go through this process around the age 21-22 when the last square of Transiting Saturn to its natal position is in force).  One thing is for certain, the person you were and the life you were living prior to your Saturn Return will be significantly changed over the course of a year or two.  What you are looking for in life will have changed too but in a positive manner.  You are now setting yourself up for the future as this seems important at this time in your life.

Things in life that warrant change are subject to great scrutiny, and your evaluation of these conditions is actually what creates this change of direction.  You may feel that you are somehow at the mercy of life right now, but in reality, the changes that are now beginning to settle or have just begun are a requirement in life as a shift is required.  It is best to move forward with some anticipation but also to prune away anything in your life that has become dormant and/or no longer serves a real purpose.  This could be particularly true in areas related to your occupation and goals in life as Saturn is currently in Capricorn.

SUN IN AQUARIUS - JANUARY 21 2018

The Sun moves into the sign of Aquarius on January 21 in 2018.  This post will be a character reference to those with this Sun sign and also for those with an ascendant of Aquarius. 

There are a few differences between the Ascendant in Aquarius and the Sun in Aquarius, the main difference being that the Ascendant (for all signs) is our expression to the world, which can include our appearance.  Our Sun sign is our expression but this expression comes from internally, our true core self.  Those that do not know us well may not recognize the inner person.  The Sun is also more closely tied to our goals and aspirations.

Keep this in mind when reading this highlight on Aquarius.  This information will also apply but to a much lesser degree if your Sun is located in the eleventh house, which is naturally ruled by Aquarius. 

There is something that is unique, even unconventional, about the character of an Aquarian.  This can be expressed in the way these individuals dress, especially those with Aquarius rising but above all else, it is expressed in their definition of character.  Many Aquarius individuals appear to be rather aloof in their behaviour.  They march to the beat of their own drum and are quite comfortable with this, at least as they age.  In early life they may have realized their differentness and may not have felt comfortable in their skin as with most young individuals.

Many Aquarians have a difficult time expressing their emotional side unless of course there are other moderating aspects within the birth chart, particularly aspects to the Moon or the sign of the Moon.  If the Moon is in one of the water signs, the emotional side of these individuals might be more out in the open, although not so much if in the sign of Scorpio. 

Aquarius individuals will focus their attention towards humanity as a whole and are deeply concerned in moving people out of their complacency into the light of a new self-expression. 

Aquarians can be rather eccentric in their mannerisms, are open to new and interesting concepts although not easily swayed by popular opinion.  These individuals would rather walk the road never travelled than follow others blindly.  Aquarians are open hearted, open minded and expressive when they are speaking or listening to something that holds their interest. 

Astrology is right up their alley as well as scientific exploration, modern technology and anything that could be considered forward thinking. 

They are intellectuals who prefer to use their mental capabilities in problem solving rather than gut instinct, although some are intuitive and meditative.  Aquarius is the sign of the water bearer, meaning that they pour the water of knowledge over the world.  They want to contribute in some grand plan to help with the shift taking place in our world.  They could also be leaders in this evolutionary new order slowing gaining momentum in society.

PREREQUISITE TO CHANGE

 The journey to self-realization has many steps but getting to know and understand yourself is a challenging yet very satisfying journey.  It is one of wonder as we slowly release all of the ego (conscious or unconscious) alignments that have been influencing us most of our lives.  Some of these traits were learned in very early childhood, and we have identified with them and believe that they are a part of who we are.

This is where the difficulties arise.  We actually believe that these learned traits are a part of our true selves, our true identity.  This belief can be painful.  If we recognize that they have never been a part of the true self, they can easily be acknowledged and released with little to no pain or suffering.  Most people spend much of their lives identifying with these qualities and then when and if they come to recognize these traits, they feel that they have to battle to remove a part of themselves. 

In reality, these have never been a part of them.  They are simple a habit or learned belief.

We have to accept these habits but see them for what they are.  Let them go and watch how the real core energy shines through.  The real person has always been there yet frequently denied or overlooked because of ego’s intent on directing our lives.  We are not at the mercy of ego.  Ego can be an interference or it can be a positive benefit, depending on the focus.  Ego’s proper place is at our side providing us with confidence but not arrogance to move forward.

Allowing our core person to shine through does not have to be painful.  Realization and getting into the moment are wonderful experiences and very gratifying.  These are great initial steps.  We have to remind ourselves that we are spirit having a human experience, living a temporary earthly existence. Our higher state of consciousness is ever present, as is our alignment with source.

TRANSITING SATURN OPPOSITION NATAL MOON

Transiting Saturn has a tendency to make things a little difficult while it transits different houses in our charts (each house represents specific areas of life).  Saturn makes things difficult when it aspects other planets and luminaries and also when it aspects the angles and even the house cusps in our charts.  Saturn has difficult, yet valuable lessons to teach.

Transiting Saturn is now in Capricorn (as of January 2018) and is opposing the Moon.  As a result, the energies of the Moon are affected if you have your natal moon in the sign of Cancer. 

Transiting Saturn is at home in the sign of Capricorn, as Saturn is the natural ruler of Capricorn.  It works well in areas of business, careful and serious studies, as well as with certain goals in life.  These goals should be far reaching and long range goals, not goals that you wish to accomplish quickly.

When in opposition, this often signifies that other people will be involved somehow, (often the energies come from someone else or the action is initiated by someone else).  The energies are challenging and the emotions will run high. 

Moon in Cancer, as mentioned, is very sensitive but especially sensitive towards the family, the children and anyone needing to be nurtured.  If, for example, this opposition involves one of your children then you would be having difficulty protecting them or they might be challenging your authority. 

You may find that although you feel very emotional, part of you will want to control your emotions during this period.  This is not an easy task for someone with their Moon in Cancer as often you may find that you back off, when in fact you should be pushing forward.  In most cases, you should be standing your ground and do what must be done, as being strict and steadfast in your approach might be just what Saturn is requiring of or teaching you.  Remember Saturn is the teacher and the disciplinarian.

It undoubted will not be an easy lesson to learn; however, if you need to take a stand, in the long haul, it will work in your favour.  Perhaps, in the immediate moment it will not feel as though it is working too well. 

Saturn does offer rewards for conscientiousness and careful planning.  Take time to plan out the steps you need to take.  It is highly suggested that you evaluate your circumstances and plan and prepare.

FRIENDS AND RELATIVES

We will form many bonds throughout our lives, some short lived and others lifelong.  Those that we do become well close to and those that form part of our family can become very significant.  Some friends will mean as much or more than those in our inner family circle.  These specific people have an important role in our lives, as (usually) do most of our family members.  Each and every person that you spend time with is important within different aspects and lessons of your life.

From an incarnate point of view, many of our friends and family have come to spend valuable time with us.  We should think of this as a blessing and an honor.  These individuals have decided (along with our acceptance) to play roles in our ongoing evolutionary story.  We have chosen to come together, often after a previous incarnations together, to continue our journey with these specific people being a part of the process.  How magnificent is that? 

In past lives, it is speculated that we may have been related, or married or close friends or enemies for that matter.  This is why some specific people are just so comfortable to be with and others it takes a little work to enjoy their energies.  In some cases, we have some unfinished Karma to push through and the alignment may not be that comfortable.  However, these uncomfortable alignments are important life lessons taught in part by these individuals.  Although they may bring challenging conditions into our lives, these are often the most valuable lessons that we learn. 

Next time you have a difficult situation that must be handled, wrap your arms around the experience and realize that it is an important message that you are now ready to receive.

Although there are a few people throughout time that have very sheltered lives or that live lives of a recluse, most of us will share our lives with others and especially with those we love.  Even those that feel or believe that they should live lives that circumvent others can open the door to a greater life experience and reach out to those they may be able to give assistance to.  Sharing life brings with it marvelous experiences and close wonderful encounters that would otherwise be missed.

Recognize the importance of those around you.  Do not become complacent with these individuals.  These are significant relationships that help foster your growth.

NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN JANUARY 16/2018

As many of our readers are aware, the New Moon is associated with the beginning of things.  It is the time to plant new seeds.  According to the sign and house position it is located in within the natal chart, this will be the area of life the energies will work most naturally with.   You can use an orb of influence of up to 5 degrees when interpreting this placement.  This New Moon on January 16, 2018 will talk place at 9:18 p.m. EST and will be located in the sign of Capricorn at 26 degrees.

The Sun and the Moon are in conjunction with one another in the sign of Capricorn at the time of the New Moon.  Capricorn is often linked to achievement and quite often associated with business and the building of a career or goals in life. 

As we enter this New Moon phase and once you have located the area of life involved (house position) specific to you, you can utilize these energies associated with Capricorn to your benefit.  These energies suggest that some hard and diligent effort will be a requirement and although the goals may soar, remember the higher we aim the greater the results.  Often we can expect to see the return from our hard work when the Full Moon is in Capricorn some six months later (in this case by June 28, 2018).  At that time, we can review and harvest what we put in place under the influence of the New Moon in Capricorn and begin to reap the rewards of our diligent work.   Alternatively, after our review, we may decide to begin again because we did not nurture the seeds that we planted (Capricorn would never quit however).  Much of what transpires at that Full Moon Capricorn harvest (in June) will be directly correlated with what we did after we planted our seeds of intension.

This New Moon as mentioned suggests hard work, and we will be required to put forth a consistent effort.  The lessons of patience, perseverance and possibly some setbacks may be part of the nurturing process.  This could involve relationships of significance especially if this configuration is tied to the ascendant or seventh house.  It could involve the home and family or occupation especially if this configuration is tied to the IC or MC.  This may tie in with orchestrated efforts in our health regimented if it is tied to the sixth or twelfth houses.  It may be tied to our finances or other people’s finances which directly affects our inner security if linked to the second or eighth houses.  Some begin love affairs or attend to social gatherings especially if tied to the fifth or eleventh houses and the list goes on.

A steadfast approach to whatever areas of life that might be involved would be necessary as this is often a requirement with Capricorn.  As mentioned earlier, do not give up or feel as though you can never move forward with what is planned.  This will only thwart what you are trying to accomplish.   Being in a state of conscious effort to promote opportunity and positivity is always recommended regardless of what we might find our focused. 

Capricorn, at times, can be negative and can expect failure or shortcomings but persistence often produces favourable results and concrete outcomes as time goes by.

Stay focused and determined.  You will reap the equivalent of your effort.  You may be gleefully surprised at the final outcome.  Never give up and stay true to yourself.

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT NATAL JUPITER

Transiting Saturn has just entered the sign of Capricorn and will remain in this sign for approximately 2 ½ years.  Saturn is at home in the sign of Capricorn as this is its natural ruler.  Saturn deals with business associations and those people of authority or of expertise.  Saturn rules discipline and structure and builds solid foundations over time often after periods of challenging conditions (the “lessons”). 

Saturn in the sign of Capricorn and connected by conjunction to Jupiter could indicate added responsibilities in the working environment, although could also indicate being noticed by those in positions of authority.  If you have been meticulous at your job, you may get recognition and even the potential for an increase in wages. 

Jupiter likes to expand on things and when hard work has been applied and those in positions of power recognize it, you may also be in line for promotion.  Jupiter tends to bring with it good luck although with Saturn, it will imply hard work and often some struggles in getting recognition.  Keep working towards the betterment of your business and you can get noticed under these conditions.

WHEN TIME STANDS STILL

We have heard from some people lately that they feel lost with no clear direction.  They feel as though they have nothing to strive for.  Are you waiting for something or someone to point you in the right direction?

Our journey can be challenging at times to say the least and we feel as though we may have lost our way. 

These times in our lives are the perfect time to be contemplative.  What a wonderful opportunity to reflect on where you have been and where you are now.  There is no real need to look forward during these periods.  They serve us best if we use them for reflection and review.

There are times when it is imperative to just settle into our current life’s conditions and want nothing more (......just for this moment).  When we look up from our review, we may find that a light has appeared in the distance.  There will be just enough light to light up the shadows in the dark corners of our life and we once again will feel comfortable and guided to continue on our journey.  We can never hurry the process but we can utilize the time wisely while we wait to reflect and use this period wisely.

If we choose to get caught up in the fear of nothingness, we must refocus.  It is just that simple.  By shifting the mind’s focus, we can reflect and appreciated and prepare for the next leg of our journey........that WILL come.  It is inevitable. 

Life can be SO busy and so much can happen that we did not make time to take inventory.  We shoot the rapids and spend little to no time adjusting and adapting to the subtle lessons that we learn.  These stagnant times are not meant to be wasted.  There is so much reviewing that needs to be done so that we recognize all the invaluable tools that have been passed our way. 

Observe and examine.  Take the time to look at the treasures you have been provided with.  Recognize that this quiet time is quite temporary.  Do not be mislead by reactive thoughts.  Channel your focus in an appropriate manner so that you are ready to continue your path.  Where this path leads, we are not sure but rest assured it leads to where you need to be.  Enjoy each moment and utilize what feels like stagnate times to reflect and review.  In such a short time, you will be shooting the rapids again.

TRANSITING URANUS SQUARE NATAL SUN

The square from transiting Uranus to the Sun will be experiences currently for those with their Sun in Cancer and those with their Sun in Capricorn.  Currently Uranus is at 24 degrees Aries and will remain in Aries until May 16, 2018.  It will return to Aries on November 7, 2018 and then move back into Taurus on March 7, 2019.  Those with their Sun in the latter degrees of Capricorn and Cancer (17-29 degrees) will be influenced to a great extent by Uranus during this period.

Uranus seeks out change, often through disruptive tendencies.  It requires those influenced by its energies to reach out for something new and often to engage on a different path.  When linked to the Sun, there are often personal changes on the horizon.  This could include changes to goals in life, perhaps affecting the occupation especially for those with Capricorn as their Sun sign.  There could be changes to the home and family especially for those with their Sun in Cancer and these changes would most likely be on a very personal level.

These changes might include physical changes; perhaps those influences by these energies wish to present a different image to the world.  This would especially tie in if the Sun or Uranus is closely tied to the Ascendant or Venus.  The individuals may decide to make changes in relationships of significance, especially if this square is tightly conjoined in some way to the Descendant.  They could make changes to their health regime and orchestrate new practices with the way they look at themselves.  This could include eating habits and exercise programs, especially if the sixth house or Virgo is part of the equation. 

These individuals could make changes to the way they look after their personal finances, especially if the second house is tied into the equation, or changes to joint finances if the eighth house is part of the process. 

They may aspire to move towards occult teachings and mystical practices especially if the eighth or twelfth houses are involved. 

One thing is for sure with Uranus anyone with this aspect can expect the unexpected. 

Uranus will push for change with anything that has become outdated.  Uranus usually gently pushes at first and if the nudges are not acted upon, Uranus’ can force action that would be much more disruptive compared to acting on the original gentle nudges in the beginning.  These changes are a requirement and although something may be completely adapted or faded out completely, especially if Pluto is involved, these are changes that need to be attended to.  Do not ignore what Uranus is trying to initiate.  It can be quite disruptive and unexpected in its manner of expression if these individuals are unwilling to co-operate.

After the change takes place (this could last up to a year for it to be completely over and even longer if Pluto is involved) things will not be as they were.  The shift is often complete and irreversible but these individuals will settle into the new way of life and life will be all the better because of it.  Patience is certainly a lesson associated with what we are speaking of, as is adaptability.
