MAKE A DIFFERENCE

At times, sitting back and doing nothing just will not do.  We have to stand up and be part of the change that is needed.  Initiate this change. What better action can there be? 

 

“Should I wait for someone else to start the process?” could be the way our mind operates.  The mind can think up intensions but also come up with reasons why we should not act.  Occasionally, we are so committed to an idea, we overcome the negative ego interference and move forward with our motivating ideas.

 

It can be hard work and it could be so much easier if someone else starts things. We may even feel we are not up to the task.  We cannot and should not wait for others to initiate. If an idea surfaces and there is potential for positive results, take that first step and begin. 

 

We can make a difference in our world.  We do not have to be followers, and we are good enough to make a difference.  We are leaders even if we underestimate ourselves.  Give yourself a chance. 

 

The right idea can snowball once it gets rolling.  We are not here to sit back and be spectators.  We are here to live and living is being in motion.  Make things happen.  Kindness, love, and affection can have profound effects if this is the route we take.  If someone is struggling, why not take a shot at helping them move in a different direction, if they are looking for help?  If someone is lonely or afraid, why not be the one that eases their mind or brings the comfort of friendship?

 

Do not sit back when opportunity knocks. Make a difference.  We do not know what lies ahead until we take that step. Be the forerunner. Be a motivating factor.  Be the light that radiates out into our world and lights the path.

What will you leave behind when you pass? 

 

How will you be remembered?

 

Will these questions matter when we are ready to pass over?

 

Goals and ambitions are potentially reachable.  They can be relevant and serve a purpose for the time being.  They can bring you satisfaction and a feeling of contentment or provide a feeling of pride.

 

We are currently living on this earthly plain, and our goals, on some levels, are tied to achievement in the world of material success.  Health, comfort and enjoyment are important factors during earthly life and our achievements, big or small, (Nice home, car, vacations, a secure financial bank account) can build confidence and provide a push to continue reaching higher.

 

However, as mentioned, on the day you leave this world, none of these things can follow you.  The importance of what we achieved in the financial world dies with us. They only served us well during this life and are temporary.

 

What is the impact we have left on others, however? 

 

This physical life is temporary. Life passes by quickly. Our impact, no matter how small we may think it is, has an effect on others. In some cases, we may have a profound effect.  Our memory lives on for a couple of generations and then in most cases has little to no meaning after that.  “Now” is what counts.  Now is all we have!

 

We can live our lives to the fullest making our mark particularly on the hearts of those close to us. It is never too late to help light the paths of others through caring. Life is in our hands. Let’s live with purpose.
