URANUS OPPOSITION NATAL NORTH NODE

SUN IN CANCER FORECAST 2026

Today, we will focus on aspects affecting our Sun in Cancer readers for the upcoming year.

 

Because we always look first at the outer planetary connections to the natal chart, in this case to the Sun in Cancer, it will be extremely important to see which houses these planets are transiting through as we align them with the Sun in your natal or birth chart.  The houses describe the areas of life that are affected and play important roles in our identification of potential outcomes.

 

The outer planets, Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus as we write this article are all in close proximity by degree to one another.  So those with their Sun in the early degrees of Cancer will be under the influence of these three powerful planetary energies. 

 

Uranus and Pluto both suggest change on some level, while Neptune can bring about a psychic/mystical influence. When in a challenging position, which it is to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Cancer, a degree of uncertainty regarding what might be taking hold in life is possible.

SUN IN CANCER 2026

On June 21, 2026, we move from the mutable air sign of Gemini into the cardinal, water sign of Cancer.

READY FOR THIS JOURNEY

POWERFUL TRANSITING ASTROLOGICAL CONNECTION

Transiting Pluto and Neptune have been making a Sextile for many years and will continue to do so for some time to come.  The tighter the orb, allowing up to a 5° orb of influence, the stronger the connection.  As mentioned, this is not a new influence but deserves mention as there are tight configurations coming into play as we write this.  June/July of 2026 are under this auspicious connection as are August and September of 2026, and again June to November of 2027.  There are other tight connections after that date as well.

OBLIGATIONS AS A PARENT

Our children are our children regardless of their age.  We will always be Mom or Dad to our kids, although as we age, the gap certainly begins to shrink.  In some cases, our children become our best friends, after all they have been with us since their beginning.

 

As they mature into themselves, it is important to remember that as we made our way through adversity and learned valuable lessons so will our children.  We are their parents but, at some point, we must step back, trust in the seeds we planted and let them learn through life’s experience and their own judgement.

 

This can be a very difficult task, as we feel we must advise and help in whatever way we can.  Reassure them that we are always there for them. The lessons they learn through experience are the most valuable and the ones that they remember.

Most of us felt they were out of touch and interfering.  Your children will likely feel the same way.

 

We do have obligations as parents and we do our best.

 

The world they are growing up in is different from the one we grew up in. Life was easier on some levels and also more challenging on other levels.

Remember you are human. If you made mistakes when they were young, acknowledge the mistakes and then let go.
