ASPECTS TO SUN IN CAPRICORN 2025

We posted an article on December 17 for Sun in Capricorn.  https://holmastrology.blogspot.com/2025/12/sun-in-capricorn-2025.html Today, we will review some of the transiting outer planets making aspects to the position of the Capricorn Natal Sun.

 

Saturn and Neptune will be making a Square to those with their Capricorn Sun sign in the early degrees. Neptune moves beyond Pisces and stays in Aries beginning in late January (January 26, 2026) and Saturn moves into Aries on February 14, 2026.  Both planets enter Aries on a permanent basis in 2026 but have an influence on the Capricorn Sun prior to these dates as they maneuver their way forward.

Saturn, the planet of structure, and Neptune, the planet of obscurity and the intangible, can create havoc when they square your Sun.  There likely will be power struggles when it comes to your plans, the personal changes you might want to make and your path ahead.  Saturn likes the familiar and what feels comfortable. Saturn’s energies are unwilling to change even when change is necessary. 

 

Neptune may not see things clearly, can be vague and may be unsure of which path to take.  Neptune, however, also leans towards the mystical and finding our way through avenues that are not considered concrete which, of course, is what Saturn wants.

 

You will have to weigh out the pros and cons. It will be necessary to organize ideas into viable structures and to find a happy medium. Although Square aspects are known to be quite difficult, they also push us to find resolution and can bring great rewards for hard work.  The square aspect forces us into action because the tension is too challenging to ignore so you must work your way forward to find resolution. This, as a result, makes square aspects valuable as we must act.

 

The astrological houses in your chart where these planets are located will indicate what areas of life are influenced.  For example, the fourth and seventh house might have something to do with family and the home, and challenges coming from the marriage partner concerning what action you feel you need to take.  If it is the tenth and first houses involved for example, changes or challenges might be in place at work which will affect you on a personal basis. You will need to adjust and find ways to alleviate the worries that you experience during this aspect’s influence.

 

The are many possibilities depending on the houses involved. You will also have to look at any other transits or progressions making contact at the same time in your astrology chart.  Look at the natal potential of your Sun, Neptune and Saturn as this will help you find a resolution to what is unfolding. 

 

The aspects to Sun in Capricorn 2025 by Saturn and Neptune have opposite wants. Find a happy medium where a good foundation is laid for the more mystical side of life. Stay clear of ego and imagination to find a solution.

SUN IN CAPRICORN 2025

On December 21, 2025, the Sun moves from the sign of Sagittarius into the sign of Capricorn. 

 

Capricorn is a cardinal, earth sign which suggests that Capricorn individuals are practical, ambitious individuals who have the ability to lead rather than follow someone else, although those individuals they choose to follow will have qualities that they admire. 

 

Capricornians are hardworking, achievement-oriented individuals who, once dedicated to a plan, will see it through.  Capricorns are here to initiate tangible strategies and because of their willingness to work hard at achievement and their strong staying power, some of these plans can and will stand the test of time.

 

Under most conditions, Capricornians can be counted on because of their reliability. They are quite willing to put the extra effort into their objectives. 

 

As with any Sun sign, all attributes we have been describing can be affected by other aspects within the Natal Astrology chart.  Being born on the cusp of Capricorn and Sagittarius or on the cusp of Capricorn and Aquarius will have an impact of how these energies are brought to the surface and how these Capricorn individuals may use them.  Also, although Capricorn is a cardinal, earth sign if you have a lot of planets in Air, Water and/or Fire in your chart, these will also temper your Sun sign qualities.  Much will depend on the overall nature of the Astrological birth chart, although the Sun sign in particular is very powerful and has great influence over our personality.

SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON 2025

On December 20, 2025, we will be experiencing a New Moon at 28° in the sign of Sagittarius.  Anyone have planets or angles with a three-degree orb of this placement especially by Conjunction or Opposition will be influenced by this placement. 

 

New Moon’s energies signify the beginning of a cycle.  This is a fresh start or a time to plant seeds that will eventually grow, if nurtured, into something worthwhile in the garden of life.  It is a good time to go within and examine what truly matters to you now.  Set your intentions on what is important to you. 

 

The Sun and the Moon are currently aspected by a Conjunction. The Sun represents our egoic self and the Moon dealing with our sensitivities and emotions. These are now connected and heighten in intensity. These energies can assist us in moving forward when aspected in our natal chart.  Set your intentions, move ahead with your plans and realize the potential available.

 

With a Sagittarius New Moon in particular, we have the power of Jupiter behind our actions.  Sagittarius is about moving ahead with a positive attitude and with high hopes for the outcome.  Many who have this placement activated in their Natal Chart will feel as though they can’t go wrong.  The road ahead looks promising and nothing will hold them back.

 

This is a positive way of looking at things, but some things may not go as planned.  You can expect some delays, some challenges along the way and the feeling that you are not sure which way you are heading or whether this plan of yours will actually work out.  This is due to the Squares from Saturn and Neptune in the sign of Pisces currently moving through the Zodiac.

 

Saturn is at 25° Pisces and tends to restrict and delay and often puts up roadblocks to make the passage more difficult to teach life lessons.  It requires us to work hard, plan ahead, move discretely and carefully.  Advance with the intension of making things as near perfect as possible.  Our hard work usually pays off.  It is essential to apply yourself completed.  The venture likely won’t be an easy one as work is required even though the energies from Sagittarius might feel that way.

 

Neptune is also in Square to this position and is very close to being direct at 29° Pisces. Neptune can make things or our direction unclear.  Our plans may seem somewhat vague and uncertainty can set in.  We might wonder if we are making the right decision.  We need a reality check and fortunately, Saturn will assist with that.

The houses involved in your personal chart will help define the areas of life involved.  If you happen to have a Natal Aspect between Saturn and Neptune in place, this will intensify the energy coming into force. 

 

The Sagittarius New Moon 2025 indicates hard work is essential for your goals to reach fruition. Be realistic as you will fail if you make your goals unreachable.  Set your goals, work hard and keep a positive attitude.

URANUS SEXTILE NATAL MIDHEAVEN

When Transiting Uranus is Sextile your Natal Midheaven (MC), it is also trine to your Natal Imum Coeli (IC).  Both aspects are considered very fortunate. These aspects are what we wait for and unfortunately, they do not come frequently.  When they do, we will need to take advantage of the energies available.  Uranus takes seven years to move through a sign and its cycle back to its original position in the birth chart takes 84 years.

 

Uranus acts in unpredictable ways.  Its action is often sudden and unexpected, coming out of the blue with little, if any, warning.  It brings with it change that is a requirement for the soul because what has been in place, now no longer suits your evolutionary growth.  Uranus is known as the awakener and moves you to exactly where you need to go.

 

The MC or Midheaven has to do with our career, our goals and aspirations, our status and the recognition we get for our efforts.  In some cases, our status will change when we marry or when we divorce; Uranus might be involved with these events especially if the 7^th house is also part of the equation.  Look at the Natal position of Uranus and its aspects to get a deeper understanding of what might be taking hold in your life.

 

Sextiles have similar energy to the Trine aspect but in most cases with a Sextile, we must do the work with the energy to reap the rewards.  Both aspects indicate easy flow and opportunities, but with the Trine things can just flow and move in a fortunate manner with or without our input. 

 

If you find that change is not taking place in your life especially when the energy is directly on degree, you will need to have a closer look at what else is transpiring in your chart with other transits. Perhaps the aspects in the natal chart suggest something different.  The whole chart must be looked at to get the full picture.

 

Transiting Uranus sextile natal Midheaven is a time of advancement often related to your career and may also have something to do with your home and family. The Trine from Uranus is also in aspect to your IC.  Prepare for a change of direction, a new beginning and a potential advancement with your goals and aspirations as well as your standing in the community and life’s status.  This aspect provides potential for something exciting to unfold as long as you work to help make things happen.

PLUTO OPPOSITION NATAL NORTH NODE

Because the North and South Nodes are always in Opposition with one another, the Conjunction of the South Node will be more significant than the Opposition of the North Node.  Conjunctions are the most powerful of the Major aspects, while the Opposition runs about second. 

 

Much will depend on if you also have Natal planets or angles connected to these positions.  Squares will apply to both while Trines give one node a Trine and the other, a Sextile.  The whole chart must be carefully delineated for an accurate translation, but we will look specifically at the energies of Pluto Opposition the natal North Node.

 

With the energies of the South Node Conjunction Transiting Pluto, this will be a time of transformation that is attached to feelings we have attached to security linked to the past.  This may be a person or situation that no longer suits our evolution, and when Pluto is connected, it suggests that we are about to head into a period of letting go and releasing.  It is time to move away from these situations or individuals, and we may have had hints along the way letting us know that a change of direction is heading our way.

 

There are likely Karmic implications and challenges because we may feel safe under the current conditions or with these people, but the time has come to move forward into our North Node path.  Because the North Node is now in Opposition, in most cases, other individuals will be involved and perhaps they have been trying to make us change our destiny or causing our path to change in significant ways.

 

There will likely be power struggles along the way, and it may take as many as two years before the journey finally gets on course completely.  Even after this time frame is finished, it will still take some time to fully understand why things went the way they did.  We want to preserve what has been in place, but this will serve little purpose because when Pluto is involved life seems to take over and moves us to where we are meant to be.

 

This is the time to meet your destiny, and you likely will be fearful because it is new. It will also be exciting although you have never walked down this path before. You will not have a clue as to what to expect.  Your world (area of life depending on the houses involved) is about to transform, and you can help create what is needed by not fighting the process. 

 

You can swim against the current, but you will tire and eventually flow with the current which over time will take you exactly where you need to go.  Listen to your gut. Your intuition may be strong with Pluto Opposition Natal North Node. Do not be too influenced by other people’s intentions.  This time is significant and will set the path for many years to come. Do not take this lightly.

FORECAST FOR SUN IN SAGITTARIUS 2025

Although there are other planets in transit making different aspects to those with their Sun in Sagittarius, we thought we would touch on the two outer planets as they have a stronger and longer impact than the fast-moving inner planetary aspects. 

 

We will focus on Transiting Pluto making a Sextile at1° Aquarius and Transiting Neptune making a Trine at 29° Pisces.  Neptune will be moving into Aries on or about January 26/2026. 

 

Both Pluto and Neptune will make their aspects for those with their Sun in the early degrees of Sagittarius.  You can allow a 3–5° approaching orb, and a 2° separating orb.  This suggests that these two planetary links will last for at least a couple of years depending on what degree your Natal Sun is in your Natal Astrology Chart.

 

From November 2025 to June 2026, transiting Pluto will move between 1-5° into the sign of Aquarius and then go into retrograde until October 2026 and then goes direct again at 3° Aquarius. 

 

Pluto’s energies speak of transformation, perhaps bringing an internal change which forces you to view your life on a deeper level and challenging you to make significant changes.  Your goals are subject to change and your path may go through some different approaches as well.  This requires deep integration with the thinking process and challenges you to leave some part of who you are behind or begin anew in a somewhat different direction. 

 

The Sextile aspect suggests that this is an opportunity aspect but that you will have to act to get results.  If you do nothing, this opportunity may not amount to too much or the changes that set in might not be without some struggles or inner conflict. 

 

Transiting Neptune will move from 29° Pisces to 2-3° Aries by the end of 2027, so this is a slow moving aspect having an affecting over a long period of time well into 2027.  Neptune is Trine to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Sagittarius suggesting that there may be a sense that things are moving slowly but firmly in the right direction.  There may be openings regarding your path in a more spiritual direction and/or a desire to be of service to those under less fortunate circumstances.  You will likely feel that you must do the work, and that although others may be involve, you might want to take a leading role.

 

The path in life may take twists and turns for the better, and where you might have been unclear prior to this time, you are now being directed in a much clearer manner.  You will likely have a feeling that you are heading down the road towards clearer understanding and under much less vague inclinations.  You may feel you are being guided into a service-oriented path that may be tied to spirituality.  Those with sensitivity or psychic abilities may find that their energies are enhanced and these energies may take you into the deeper realms of self.

 

The forecast for Sun in Sagittarius 2025 involving Pluto and Neptune may be very transformational and evolutionary.  Dive deep within and be open! Of course, the whole chart needs to be studied to see how this may work out.  Also look at the natal potential found in the natal chart.

SUN IN SAGITTARIUS 2025

On November 22, 2025, the Sun moves from Scorpio, a fixed, water sign, into Sagittarius, a mutable, fire sign. 

 

Sagittarius is perhaps the most open-minded sign of all the Zodiac.  They love to learn through experience, are open to travel, especially to wide open spaces, love to explore, have a wide scope of interests and are optimistic about what life has to offer.  They truly believe that something good is always just around the next corner, and because of this attitude, doors are open for these individuals that may be otherwise closed to others.

 

Most Sagittarians love sports and if they are not participating, they enjoy watching, entangled in viewing the event as though they were playing themselves.  Most are agile in their younger years, fond of running, especially cross-country and have lean bodies unless of course Jupiter, their ruling planet, is near the Ascendant or in the first house located close to the Ascendant.  Having Jupiter in the first house is quite different from having it in the twelfth house.  Jupiter tends to expand all it touches and expansion is something they are prone to in many different areas of life.

 

Sagittarians, as mentioned, are open-minded and ready to explore life’s mysteries, especially when it comes to religious tendencies, not necessarily traditional religion but spirituality and life’s philosophy. 

 

Sagittarius do explore life but often on the surface. If they want to get deeper, they will need to develop patience and not get bored if things move a little slower than they would like them to.  They are a fire sign and like things to move ahead at a good rate rather than dragging slowly.

 

Their greatest liability is that they tend to say what they mean without too much deliberation or filters.  A typical Sagittarian may suffer from foot-in-mouth disease.  They do not mean any harm; they are just open enough to say things as they are.  Some Sag individuals may regret some of the things they have said in hindsight but have learned to let go and move forward unlike some other Sun signs.

SATURN SQUARE NATAL NEPTUNE

The Square between Transiting Saturn and Natal Neptune can directly affect your life especially if you have these two planetary energies closely aligned in your natal chart.  Even those that do not have this aspect tight in their birth charts will feel the subliminal effects of the Neptunian energies of spirituality and the alignment with the higher sources linked with Saturn (the task-maker and builder) along with the lower energies of Saturn, (the disciplinarian, and often source of delayed action and challenges).

 

As you can imagine, these two planets together have struggles aligning their energies.  Saturn has to do with reality and focusing on energies in constructive earth-type activities.  Neptune deals with the less tangible and works in direct correlation with spirituality, intuition, psychic inclinations and the imaginative side of life.

 

Neptune suggests that there will be higher ideals set in place specifically indicated by Neptune’s Natal position and house placement.

 

Saturn suggests that the core foundation must be built on stable ground if any of these Neptunian high-minded ideologies are to be fundamentally sound and have any lasting qualities.  This could be classified as a testing ground for reality and the rational mind which is being established through spiritual alignment and the mystical approach in a solid structured way of living.

 

Saturn brings clarity to our maze of heightened awareness often associated with Neptune.  Although this aspect is a square, the potential, after some hard work, for more clarity is quite profound, if you approach mysticism in a realistic and orderly fashion.  You must adhere to ways that hold Neptune in sync with Saturn’s need for unobstructed and clear vision.  In other words, do not let your mind drift towards directions of deception or cloudiness and maintain a firm grip on reality. If you do so, you can realize factual and tangible results from intuitive insight.  You can recognize truth if you take a real and honest approach.

 

Although your objectives may be a little unclear and it may be very challenging to deal with everyday affairs, let alone mystical pursuits, if the groundwork is in place much can be discovered and put into practice once this aspect has been conquered.  Make your life as simple as possible and stay true to your beliefs even though they may seem challenged from time to time.  Seek out the connectedness in all that surrounds you and challenge the “life of form” and any limited concrete belief structures that you have put in place prior to this aspect.

 

This is an opportunity to lift the veil of uncertainty and find greater truth.  Any aspect, easy flowing or challenging, can be dealt with in order to bring a positive into each and every situation, and evolve a belief structure into something more tangible and reliable.  All aspects whether natal or transit can be utilized in positive ways to help provide you with strength and the ability needed to conquer any of life’s situation, even though Squares are very difficult to master.  They do, however, usually force you into action, because the energies are difficult enough that you must find a resolution.

 

If you find that your views are pessimistic or unapproachable for some reason, take the time to review the situation as well as your own personal philosophy.  By doing so, you can set things straight.  Neptune provides you with the insight to achieve any of your pursuits as long as part of the process reduces the effect of ego.  There must be consideration and assistance for others.  Saturn provides the stable environment to achieve these things. 

 

Transiting Saturn Square Natal Neptune will challenge your focus linked to the intangible, force you to look at things from a realistic perspective, and build a foundation based on the truth you discover during these moments of uncertainty.  You must go deep for the answers.

 

The houses linked to these connections will be the areas of life that now need clarification, particularly the house of Natal Neptune.  You will also need to check the other Natal aspects tied to Neptune and any other transits during this the time frame of transiting Saturn Square natal Neptune.
