SUN IN LIBRA ASPECTS 2024

The Sun in Libra aspects 2024 that we are about to highlight applies to those people who have their Sun in the sign of Libra at the degree of influence noted giving yourself a 5–8° orb of influence.  The planets mentioned will be allotted their appropriate degrees as of October 2024 but will change degrees as the year progresses and an ephemeris will be required to see what degrees throughout the coming year.

 

Transiting Mercury will join up with those with their Sun in Libra from the 26^th of September to the 14^th of October. Mercury will affect everyone who has their Sun in Libra at some point during Mercury’s visit in the sign of Libra. 

 

The conjunction of Mercury with your Sun is a powerful combination, and the thinking process particularly connected to personal plans and goals in life will be enhanced and, in many cases, understood.  This, in general, will be a good time to make sure that you move ahead with your plans as the mind is focused on these areas.  The rest of the chart always needs to be deciphered to get a clear picture of the energies in place during the Sun and Mercury application as well.

 

Transiting Jupiter (21° Gemini and it goes retrograde October 8) will make a trine to those with their Sun in the mid to lower degrees of Libra.  Trines carry with them easy flow, opportunities, and good luck.  This is what we wait for and especially so with Jupiter, the great benefactor of the Zodiac. 

 

Even when Jupiter is in retrograde motion, which it will be until February 3, 2025, going down to 11° Gemini, it will still have positive effects although you may have to work a little harder and be more diligent in how you maneuver your way forward.  Jupiter brings with it growth, good fortune, expansion and opportunities for learning.

 

Transiting Pluto is just entering Aquarius, although it will make a short visit back into Capricorn on September 2 through until November 19 when it moves into Aquarius to stay for many years to come. 

 

Pluto has to do with transformation, and often brings new beginnings because something has to come to an end as it no longer suits your growth potential or no longer serves any viable purpose.  Pluto brings about the death of one thing in order to bring new life with something else into your life. 

 

Pluto also makes a trine to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Libra.  Pluto moves slowly, sometimes only 1° a year so it will have a profound effect on those with the Sun at the same degrees as Pluto.  Pluto not only makes changes on the outside and affects your goals, but it will likely make changes on a personal basis.  It is best not to fight the energies of Pluto as it will make its stand and can force action when being held back. What Pluto calls for is important and will be realized.

 

Sun in Libra aspects 2024 involving Jupiter and Pluto have a favourable and lasting quality to those affected.  It would be wise to take advantage while they present themselves to you.  The houses will highlight the areas of life being affected which are determined by the transiting position of these planets in your natal chart.  Of course, the natal potential will need to be studied as well to be fully informed on what lies ahead and has potential to grow.

SUN IN LIBRA

On September 22, 2024, the Sun will move from the mutable, earth sign of Virgo into the cardinal, air sign of Libra.  The element of air has to do with the communication process and our thinking.  All air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are the thinkers of the Zodiac and are involved with the sharing of ideas and the spread of information.  Libra, however, is all about balancing life.  They require peace at almost any cost, are fair-minded, conservative, and most do not feel whole unless they are in an earnest relationship.

 

Relationship is a key word for many Libra individuals, and this can also apply to those who have Libra on their Ascendant and from an emotional connectedness, those with their Moon in the same sign.  Those with many planets in their 7^th house also have some of the Libran characteristics. 

 

Libra individuals make good collaborators and will see to it that things are just and fair.  They can make good lawyers, judges and mediators.  In part, Libra is here to bring evenhandedness into the world through negotiation and justice.  Libra is all about others and will willingly sit on the proverbial fence so as not to cause any rift, balancing themselves to keep the peace.  However, when it comes to those close to them, especially their partners, they can most certainly speak their mind.

 

Most Librans enjoy hosting parties, or at least being part of a gathering, if those in attendance are peaceful. They do not enjoy aggressive individuals and hate confrontation.  Libra individuals are gentle persuaders, kind personable individuals and in most cases, genuinely care about others.  Friendship is important but they should learn to choose their friends with care, although in most cases they do.

 

Being a cardinal sign, Librans are not the ones who will sit back and do nothing. They enjoy getting moving and making plans that suite all people involved.  They make good conversationalists, and their peaceful demeanor suits most people.  They do, however, sway from one perspective to another, but this is often because they do not want to ruffle any feathers.

JUPITER SQUARE NATAL SATURN

Although this post is about the transit of Jupiter to your natal Saturn, we would like to point out that transiting Jupiter is also currently square Transiting Saturn around August 19, 2024. This current transiting aspect will be similar in energy to the information in this post but will change dynamically when you take into consideration the houses involved in your chart.

 

While Jupiter tends to exaggerate and expand whatever it touches, Saturn tends to add responsibility and indicates hard work. When these two planets come together, growth and expansion along with added responsibility will take hold.  In many cases, this has to do with your occupation although, again, much will depend on the houses involved if this is in your chart.

 

If you are born with this square aspect in your natal chart, you can expect that when it becomes active through transits or progressions, your responsibilities and obligation are likely to increase.  You may find that there is more work for you to do and perhaps you will not get recognition for your efforts. Alternatively, perhaps you are getting noticed for your hard work but not seeing an income increase which is reflective of your hard work.  You may just be working harder or taking on more responsibilities. Although you may not reap the rewards for your hard work and disciplined effort at this time, you may find that as you continue working diligently towards your objectives, you will get notice by your superiors at some point in the future.  Saturn tends to delay things, but Jupiter often promises rewards eventually.

 

Squares are challenging aspects but because of their intrusive behavior, they force us into action.  On some level, we need to find a resolution to these difficulties, and we tend to work hard to resolve any problems that might be presented to us. 

 

Jupiter pushes us toward expansion and brings good luck and growth with our objectives, while Saturn tends to delay or restrict things.  Part of us wants to move forward and work towards our objectives while another part of us says that things are okay the way they are, and all that hard work may not be worth the effort.  There is a real push and pull, both at the same time. 

 

Saturn will cause us to worry and be anxious. Saturn can cause concern and doubt that what we are trying to do will never work in our favour.  There may be obstacles which stand in the way of progress, and there will not be any short cuts in reaching our final destination. This is actually a good thing because missing steps when Saturn is part of the process never work in our favour. 

 

Jupiter brings good luck, fortunate conditions, good timing and opportunities that might not otherwise present themselves to us.  When Jupiter is involved, this is the time to make plans to advance our objectives as things will usually flow more steadily and the potential for success is increased.  However, with Saturn being part of the process, as mentioned, you can expect some worries and anxiety over your objectives and a concern for failure. We should not listen to these thoughts however as the potential for growth and good luck is in place under this aspect. Move beyond doubt and push through.

 

With Jupiter square Natal Saturn, we can make things happen but expect some delays along the way.  Your peers or those in authority will likely notice your effort and rewards come to those that wait. Eventually the rewards will not be obscured by the concerns that might plague our journey as we advance.

SUN IN LEO 2024

On July 22, 2024, the Sun moves into the sign of Leo which is a fixed, fire sign.  Fire signs are often energetic, impulsive, and spontaneous.  They are fast-paced, enthusiastic, and concerned about their objectives.

Those with their Sun in Leo or strong placements in the sign of Leo are confident and can be rather dramatic in their actions.  Many Leonians have a playful demeanor, and their intentions are noble. 2024 CAPRICORN FULL MOON

On July 21, 2024, the day before the Sun moves into the sign of Leo, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Capricorn at 29°.

 

The last degree of any sign often carries with it the urgency to complete something or clearly define what the energies of that sign signify.  There is often a sense of urgency, and with this placement 2024 Capricorn Full Moon at 29°, the urgency may be related to business and completing things in an appropriate manner.

 

This is a challenging positioning of the Full Moon as it is in conjunction with Pluto which currently is at 0° in the sign of Aquarius.  There is the likelihood of power struggles perhaps with those in authority. This can occur with individuals who have their Sun in the sign of Leo in the early degrees as this placement will be in opposition to this placement.  It might be a good idea to express your ideas but to be ready for those in authority to want proof that these ideas are significant.

 

With transiting Pluto in conjunction with the Full Moon’s placement, transformation and change are highlights for those with this connection affecting their chart.  These are the final stages (full moon) of what was put in place some six months ago when we had the New Moon in this sign, Capricorn. A culmination point is about to materialize.  Everything that you have worked towards should mature pertaining to your goals set six months ago.  If you did not put in the necessary work, a new stage may not be ready to develop.

 

Pluto often creates power struggles, and those in positions of authority (or those wanting to be in positions of authority) may find the career or life in general having a lot of minor faults under this influence.  This is primarily because the 2024 Capricorn Full Moon is in the third decan which implies that there are also Virgo qualities attached to this placement. 

 

Go with your gut instinct and know what is worth pursuing and what is not worth pursuing. 

 

Transiting Neptune is making a sextile to this position and often with this contact things have the potential of falling into your hands although it is always suggested that you do what needs to be done for the best end results.  Opportunities are what the placement of Transiting Neptune is about.  Neptune currently sits at the last degree of Pisces and will move into Aries in the spring of 2025, although moving back temporarily into Pisces April 22, 2025, and then returning to Aries in January,  2026 where it will remain for approximately 14 years.

 

With the 2024 Capricorn Full Moon expect an urgency to deal with some type of business matter. There may be a power struggle with authority, but the right opportunities may materialize. Utilize these energies if available to you.

TRANSITING SATURN OPPOSITION NATAL MC

Before we go into transiting Saturn opposition Natal MC (Medium Coeli), we should also understand that it will also be making a Conjunction to the IC (Imum Coeli).  The Conjunction is actually more powerful than the Opposition and changes will take hold primarily within the family unit, the home environment and who we are in personal terms, perhaps a part that only we know. 

 

Saturn can be very discriminating and astute with letting us know, through challenging conditions, where we need to build structure and what needs to be defined clearly.  It does not hold back anything when it comes to the truth and will create what is needed, which may be through painstaking effort.

 

When we look at the opposition to the MC, the likelihood of this being stimulated by something that is taking hold either from within (the individual) or from outside influences, especially from family is strong.  Perhaps the family moves, and the career or life objectives will also have to adjust along with this move.  Perhaps the changes that are taking place at home cause an adjustments which  affects the occupation and your goals in life.

 

Outside influences in a challenging manner push us to adjust, to reevaluate and to challenge ourselves to work through adversity that is present within our occupation.  This is a challenging situation because perhaps things have been moving along smoothly and then there is a shift and work becomes a hinderance or our goals and aspirations may be difficult to follow.  We might even have to adjust because our superiors or a parent now needs our care.

 

Perhaps the home front changes, and we now need more financial support to make things work more favorably.  We may have to take on extra work or adjust our spending habits to make things work.  Outside influences cause concern within our occupation, and because of others, we will be challenged.  This can create more work, less time to be spent with family and more concerns about where life is taking us.

 

Remember during these challenges that Saturn is the teacher and will help us to build a solid foundation that we can rely upon in the future.

SATURN SEXTILE NATAL MOON

Saturn sextile natal moon can be quite challenging.  However, because the energies of the Sextile aspect have to do with opportunities through engagement, there is a constructive energy that applies to this aspect.

 

Saturn is the teacher, the disciplinarian. Through hard work and a steady approach, Saturn’s energies can initiate achievement.  With the right amount of effort, especially when we are talking about the Sextile, Saturn can initiate the potential for long lasting gain especially through the feeling nature due to its influence in this case with the Moon.

 

Sometimes this will relate to the mother or important female individuals. 

 

Eventually after the sextile, Saturn will make a Square aspect to the Natal Moon, so what we do with the Sextile aspect will undoubtedly assist over time when the Square aspect comes into play.  The emotions will most likely be involved throughout this whole interchange, and Saturn makes emotional responses difficult even under the best of conditions.

 

Perhaps this relates to the home where the mother currently resides.  There is often a steadying and reliable situation when we speak of the home environment.  Perhaps the mother, who might be beginning to show signs of aging, will need to be placed in a home soon.  This can be a touchy situation because perhaps she feels like she does not need assisted living, but part of you knows that this is fast approaching.  The emotions come to the surface for both of you, but you know that something needs to happen soon, so you try to explain the situation to her.

 

This might be a good time to start to organize the placement, as it will likely take some time before things fall into place (Saturn’s influence).  You might want to take this opportunity (Sextile aspect) to get things moving in the right direction.  If there are challenging conditions coming into focus, (perhaps this aspect also forms a difficult aspect to Mercury) then perhaps her mind or your decision making is strongly affected by the emotional situation at hand.  You may have to make challenging decisions, and this can be even more challenging if Uranus or Pluto also connected by aspect.

 

For example, Uranus involved in the situation could bring things to a head when you least expect it, and Pluto could suggest that this will be life changing for your mother and likely for you as well. 

 

Much can be ascertained by the story written within the natal chart as well as other transits or progressions in place during the affected time of this aspect. 

 

Sextiles suggests that opportunities are in place, but that does not mean that it will be an easy journey.  The house position and Saturn’s natal position by house and aspect will further define what takes place as time progresses and the energies begins to come to the surface.

PLUTO SEXTILE NATAL MOON

Transiting Pluto will be in the sign of Aquarius for many years yet to come.  Those with their Moon in sextile to Transiting Pluto (Moon in Aries or late Pisces, Moon in Sagittarius or late Scorpio), will be feeling the effects of this positioning for about 2-3 years because of Pluto’s slow movement (about 1° per year).

 

Pluto’s energies represent change and transformation due to the changes it brings to life.  It speaks of the end of conditions and the beginning of something new.  The end can relate to death of a person or the end of a situation and is often viewed as challenging until it passes which as mentioned can take some time.  Some individuals begin to feel the energies of Pluto as far away as 3-5° prior to being exact which could be up to and including 3-5 years prior to exactitude. 

 

Pluto brings with it evolution and is in place to eliminate things that are no longer suitable for your personal journey in life.  Some things need completion, and this is what Pluto does; it ends things.  There can be disputes and ego collapse. These can be quite intense as time passes and the intensity continues until we begin to adjust to whatever new has taken hold in our lives.  It is best in most cases to go with the flow of change.

 

The Moon has to do with our family, our need for nurturing and the need to nurture. It is closely linked with our emotional state.  The natal aspects to the Moon play a huge part in our emotional behavior and our reaction from an emotional standpoint.  The house placement of the Moon speaks of the area of life that is under emotional focus while the sign of the Moon is the direct link to our emotional interaction and behavior.  All this will play an important part in the evaluation of Transiting Pluto sextile Natal Moon.

 

The house Pluto is in during its transit and the natal position of Pluto along with its aspects will help define how Pluto will interact with our Natal Moon.  One thing is for certain, there will be transformations and regeneration from an emotional perspective with Pluto sextile Natal Moon.

 

The Sextile aspect is one of opportunity.  When Pluto and the Moon form this interaction, our emotional reaction to life is subject to deep introspection and then the likelihood of change is most apparent.  There may be changes within the family unit, with the mother, and is some cases, women in general.  The home environment may go through alterations.  Perhaps we will move or make significant changes to the home we live in.  If we are still living at home with our parents, this can be the time when we move out of our family home and gain independence and a whole new perspective on life.

 

As mentioned, this is an opportunity aspect and under most conditions a very favourable one. However, if we sit back and do nothing to make things happen, this opportunity may pass us by with little to no effect.  We must push to make things happen although sometimes things just seem to fall into our lap.

 

Our emotional nature defined by the house and sign position is subject to upheaval and transformation at this time. We can be the ones orchestrating something meaningful into our lives if we choose to do so.  This is a very favourable energy and can translate into action when it comes to our mother as mentioned and women in general. Perhaps, we are the ones who help initiate the change that is required.  Perhaps we can help when help is what is needed.  This may be an emotional experience, but over time, it should work out favourably for those involved. 

 

Let’s use the example of the natal Moon is in the seventh house and in the sign of Aries. With this scenario, in most cases, we are the ones who arrange what unfolds within the core of our relationship with our spouse.  We like to have control and we do what needs to be done because this is what we want. We believe that we know best.  This can also be reflected in important relationships, and if, for example, the transit of Pluto were in the fifth house then this might relate to our children or a love affair. Perhaps our creative potential is now part of an ongoing process involving a business relationship.

 

There are many scenarios, and much will be defined by the houses involved as mentioned. Be sure to look at the natal potential when deciding what this might mean for you or for the person that you may be working with.  This is an opportunity aspect so make sure that something is done with these transformative energies and work with what is in place.

NEW MOON IN CANCER, 2024

On July 5, 2024, we will be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Cancer at 14°.  This New Moon will impact those with planets or angles in their natal chart that fall withing 3-5° of this New Moon’s placement either by conjunction or opposition and to a lesser degree the Square, the Trine and the Sextile. The three latter aspects should be giving a tighter orb range.

 

This will be a time for nurturing and looking after those that you are close to.  This will include your children, parents, close friends and spouse.  Your emotions run high under this influence, and you are sensitive to any emotional hurt or mental anguish that might be experienced by any of these people. 

 

If you find that all is good with these individuals, then perhaps you are the one in need.  Perhaps someone has hurt you emotionally, and you are going through a hard time recovering from what has taken place.

This may also involve one of your parents and perhaps the time has come to think in terms of their health and welfare.  Perhaps they are of the age where you might want to look after them or they may need to investigate a retirement or senior’s home. 

 

The New Moon in Cancer, 2024 is a time when the senses are activated, and the intuitive side of life seems to come to the surface.  Channels may open for you and your insight may increase; much depends on the openness you have in these areas.

 

The New Moon’s energies have some type of focus on the beginning process, the time to plant seeds in the garden of life. As a result, it will be interesting to see where things travel as we nurture, progress and reach our culmination or harvest point in about six months’ time when the Full Moon is in the sign of Cancer.
