PLUTO CONJUNCT NATAL NORTH NODE IN AQUARIUS

As Pluto’s energies can often be felt by as much as 3° prior to when it becomes direct, those with their North Node in the sign of Aquarius would have been feeling a shift in their drive and their life’s course for about 3 years.  Pluto’s final and lasting path into Aquarius will take place November 20, 2024.

TRANSITS THAT WILL AFFECT SUN IN SCORPIO

Happy solar return to our Scorpio readers.

 

Today, we would like to touch on the transits that will affect Sun in Scorpio

 

Pluto, Neptune and Uranus are all transiting in the late degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, & Taurus respectively; therefore, these planets be now affecting all those with their Sun in the final degrees of Scorpio. 

 

This would have been and likely still is a time when there are great changes and powerful energies taking place in life.  The aspects will be affecting anyone with their Sun from 25 to 29° and for those with their Sun in the immediate earlier degrees, you have already gone through what we are about to touch on.

 

Transiting Pluto and Uranus are both in earth signs therefore they are making an opposition from Uranus to the Sun and a sextile from Pluto to the Sun.  Once Pluto moves into Aquarius (mid-November) and stays there without retrograde motion, it will be making a square for those with their Sun in the early degrees of Scorpio. 

 

Once Neptune moves into Aries which takes place into 2025, it will be making a quincunx to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Scorpio.  These two planets will already be having their energies felt for these people but will intensify as time progresses.

 

Pluto, a powerful agent of transformation, suggests massive changes of a positive nature and will bring opportunities for those with their Sun in the later degrees of Scorpio. For those with their Sun in the early degrees of Scorpio, the energies are quite different as this aspect is now a square, while the earlier aspect with those in the later degrees is a sextile. 

 

The square presents us with obstacles to overcome in the areas of life indicated by the house positions of transiting Pluto and the Sun.  This would likely not be an easy time and change, although quite disruptive and often unavoidable, will, over time, put you where you need to be.  It is important to recognize this the energies in place in the initial stages are often not very pleasant.  Change is now a requirement from deep within  and what you used to hold on to or have will make a giant shift and a new idea or concept or experience takes hold.  It will likely take about 2 years to fully understand the reason behind what takes place and the acknowledgement that this is favorable over the long haul.

 

Neptune in the final degrees of Pisces making a Trine to those with their Sun in the later degrees of Scorpio suggests that although things may not be too clear as to where you might be heading, the changes that affect you will be advantageous as time passes.  There may be more insight into the mystical side of life and an unlocking of the door to clearer insight and spirituality of a positive sort. Things just seem to flow and both Pluto and Neptune are making easy and good energies for those with their Sun in the later degrees of Scorpio. 

 

Uranus is also a powerful agent of change but not as dynamic and absolute as Pluto. With Uranus in the last degrees of Taurus making an opposition for those with their Sun in the final degrees of Scorpio, this will likely bring changes and often these changes have to do with relationships and the energy is often brought on by others.  Uranus, although it can act in unusual ways and bring sudden and unexpected change, fosters change that is needed because whatever was in place now no longer serves a viable purpose.  The soul is asking that you make changes and has likely provided you with a little push in the past, but you may not have reacted accordingly so now its energies are much more abrupt and insistent.

PLUTO SEXTILE NATAL MOON

Transiting Pluto will be in the sign of Aquarius for many years yet to come.  Those with their Moon in sextile to Transiting Pluto (Moon in Aries or late Pisces, Moon in Sagittarius or late Scorpio), will be feeling the effects of this positioning for about 2-3 years because of Pluto’s slow movement (about 1° per year).

 

Pluto’s energies represent change and transformation due to the changes it brings to life.  It speaks of the end of conditions and the beginning of something new.  The end can relate to death of a person or the end of a situation and is often viewed as challenging until it passes which as mentioned can take some time.  Some individuals begin to feel the energies of Pluto as far away as 3-5° prior to being exact which could be up to and including 3-5 years prior to exactitude. 

 

Pluto brings with it evolution and is in place to eliminate things that are no longer suitable for your personal journey in life.  Some things need completion, and this is what Pluto does; it ends things.  There can be disputes and ego collapse. These can be quite intense as time passes and the intensity continues until we begin to adjust to whatever new has taken hold in our lives.  It is best in most cases to go with the flow of change.

 

The Moon has to do with our family, our need for nurturing and the need to nurture. It is closely linked with our emotional state.  The natal aspects to the Moon play a huge part in our emotional behavior and our reaction from an emotional standpoint.  The house placement of the Moon speaks of the area of life that is under emotional focus while the sign of the Moon is the direct link to our emotional interaction and behavior.  All this will play an important part in the evaluation of Transiting Pluto sextile Natal Moon.

The Sextile aspect is one of opportunity.  When Pluto and the Moon form this interaction, our emotional reaction to life is subject to deep introspection and then the likelihood of change is most apparent.  There may be changes within the family unit, with the mother, and is some cases, women in general.  The home environment may go through alterations.  Perhaps we will move or make significant changes to the home we live in.  If we are still living at home with our parents, this can be the time when we move out of our family home and gain independence and a whole new perspective on life.

 

As mentioned, this is an opportunity aspect and under most conditions a very favourable one. However, if we sit back and do nothing to make things happen, this opportunity may pass us by with little to no effect.  We must push to make things happen although sometimes things just seem to fall into our lap.

 

Our emotional nature defined by the house and sign position is subject to upheaval and transformation at this time. We can be the ones orchestrating something meaningful into our lives if we choose to do so.  This is a very favourable energy and can translate into action when it comes to our mother as mentioned and women in general. Let’s use the example of the natal Moon is in the seventh house and in the sign of Aries. PLUTO SEXTILE NATAL MERCURY

Currently (May 2024) transiting Pluto is in the early degrees of Aquarius.  This post will affect those with their Mercury in the early degrees of Aries or the late degrees of Pisces. Also, it will affect individuals with their Mercury in the early degrees of Sagittarius or late degrees of Scorpio. 

 

Many will feel the energies of Pluto beginning to have an affect on their mental processing as much as 5° approaching.  Those that have already experienced this mental alignment will still have lingering effects for up to 2° after Pluto has been direct.  It may take as much as one to two years to fully understand what too place with this powerful aspect.

 

Pluto transforms, regenerates, can cause disruption and in some cases cause mental distraction and ego intervention when it is in touch with Mercury.  Mercury rules the mind, and much will depend on how Mercury is aspected in the natal chart and in particular if associated with the planet Pluto.  It does not matter how challenging it may be in the natal chart, as difficult aspects often incur outcomes that have a profound effect later in life and generate mental activity that stimulates positive outcomes over time.

 

Mercury sits dormant in the natal chart and needs activity from transits or progressions to become stimulated and have an influence.  Pluto will certainly stimulate Mercury and your thought process causing you to think things through with great intensity and delve deep into anything that needs surfacing. 

 

To understand what areas of life are part of this process, look to where transiting Pluto is currently located, which house natal Mercury is in and also which house Pluto rules in your natal chart. This will provide you with information as to what to expect and how you can work constructively with the energies in place.

 

The sextile is an opportunistic aspect offering great potential to make things work favourably but often requires action from the individual who is being affected by its energies.  There may be some power struggles and ego disruption during this contact. Digging into areas that might not be all that comfortable are part of this process, but the outcome is often very productive and favourable over time.  It will change the course of your thinking, often leaving something behind for something new to emerge.

 

Pluto sextile natal Mercury is a positive aspect and will open doors that might otherwise not have been available prior to this time.  Pluto moves slowly and if it happens to go into its retrograde cycle during this process, it is wise to use this time to reevaluate your situation and then move ahead with your decisions when its energies into its direct motion once again.  Remember it must touch your Natal Mercury during its retrograde cycle to have this effect.

2024 ASPECTS FOR SUN IN ARIES

As mentioned in our Sun in Aries post www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-aries-2024 on March 18, the Sun moved into the sign Aries on March 19. During the time the Sun is in Aries in 2024 (moves into Taurus on April 19) Ariens with their Sun in the mid degrees of Aries will have Sun conjunct transiting Mercury. Mercury goes retrograde on April 1 late in the evening and while Mercury is in retrograde, it is advised that you not sign agreements or set plans in motion.  Consider taking action once Mercury goes direct again on April 24.

 

Mercury retrograde is generally feared by many, although this is in general an unsubstantiated fear. Mercury retrograde has to have an impact in your chart (making contact with other planets in your chart. This will be a stronger energy if you are born with Mercury retrograde in your birth chart).  Mercury moves back from 23° to 16° affecting those with their Sun in these degrees. Once Mercury hits 16°, it then begins its direct motion and passes over the same degrees once again.  The second pass is when you can move ahead with your plans and the chance of disruption is much less probable.

 

The conjunction with Mercury and the Aries Sun brings conversation into light. It is a time when you can communicate your objectives and move forward with your plans. You can look deeper into your vision for the future and plan a course to advance in whatever direction possible. Feel free to discuss these plans with others but resist your Aries’ urge to advance without taking note of what they had to say. They may offer you advice that will prove fruitful and help with your progress forward. You don’t have to follow what they say but you should listen in case they have relevant information or advice.

 

Those with their Sun in the early degrees of Aries will be experiencing the sextile of transiting Pluto to their Sun, and this aspect is long lasting. Pluto moves slowly through the heavens and its transformational energies take time to unfold. Know that change is on its way. This is likely a necessary change but may not come easily. Ego disruption is common, and this can come from outside or from within. This will be an overall positive impact that reveals itself over time and provides an opportunity to make changes or to be changed by life events. These changes will open doors for self-understanding and renewal.

 

It is best not to fight these changes. Paddling against the current is futile with these energies. Life will take you where you need to go, and change is a requirement. You will regenerate and transform within areas that need adjustment. It will take time before you see where you are going, what lies ahead and why these changes were required.

SUN IN AQUARIUS TRANSITS (2024)

Let’s look at some of the Sun in Aquarius transits (2024) that may be affecting Aquarians during their next journey around the Sun. 

 The biggest and most powerful aspect affecting those with their Sun in the early degrees of Aquarius is the conjunction of Pluto to their Sun.  Depending on where your Sun is in the birth chart, this area of life is now subject to massive change.  What was in place previously is now subject to deep reflection creating inner changes as well as the likelihood of changes and transformations taking hold to the current path in life.

 

Some inner ego challenges are likely and the need for an honest look at your life will provide the answers to what is unfolding or needs to unfold as time passes.  This will likely be a long-term adjustment where something, from the past from an inner perspective affecting your life’s path, will undergo a needed change. You likely have been aware of this needed change for some time.  In many cases, what goes through such intense change will now changed on a permanent basis.

 

Conjunctions are powerful energies where planets mold with each other and needed change is brought forth.  Pluto suggests that something needs revamping as it no longer suits your evolutionary quest.  It is almost impossible to ignore. 

 

In this case, you are best to listen to the inner voice that is beginning to make itself heard. Go with the flow.  A big part of you knows or understands that you should now change paths on some level and move beyond of what no longer serves a viable purpose.  Look for other indicators in your chart with transits and progressions which will provide you with defined information.

 

Pluto can be quite disruptive, and it is likely that you will encounter some disputes perhaps from others or within yourself.  Ego intervention and potential arguments can be part of the process.  Pluto is a force you must listen to for an easier adjustment.

 

Jupiter and Uranus moving through Taurus will align closely in the later stages of March, through April and ending into early May.  This alignment will create change for those who have their Sun in Aquarius from around 14° to 26°.  This aspect of these planets will be emphasized as Jupiter tends to expand things but usually in positive terms.  Uranus is known as the awakener and brings forth much needed change as does Pluto (With Pluto the change is usually quite complete while Uranus changes what needs to change and can leave the rest untouched). 

 

An awakening of sorts takes hold and a move in a new direction is quite possible, especially for those who are going through the Uranus opposition (ages 39 to 43).  These changes might be unexpected or erratic, especially in the eyes of others, but they are needed as things have now become dormant and a new road is in sight.  Uranus always pushes us in directions that, over time, will be suitable for us.  In many cases, we are not sure exactly what that picture looks like now with Uranus and this can be upsetting to say the least.

 

This should be an interesting period for those with aspects to different areas of their chart affected by these positions.  Look to see how Pluto and the conjunction of Uranus and Jupiter affect your chart even if you are not an Aquarius.

 

Astrology points the way, but it is up to us if we take the advice and use it to its fullest potential.

THE BE ALL FOR EVERYONE

In the past, the be all for everyone would most likely be a woman but in recent years, this applies to men as well.

 

Theses individuals are the  caretakers of family, the helpers of friends, the worker that takes on any task, and the list goes on (and we are speaking of one individual doing all these tasks).

 

Most of us live busy lives and it is hard enough to take care of our own needs, never mind the needs of family, friends, co-workers, etc.  Life can be a struggle at the best of times as we find that there are not enough hours in a day to do what we feel needs to be done.  For many, this can take a heavy toll on them emotionally, physically and mentally. Not knowing how or where to say “no” causes worry, anxiety and stress which serves little purpose other than to cause dis-ease.

 

Are you one of these people? 

 

Do you find that you are running around for everyone else and have little time for yourself?

 

Perhaps it is time to review your priorities. Can the kids drop one activity, can everyone chip in with the housecleaning and yardwork, can another co-worker step up for the overtime, etc?

 

What is pressing and what is not?

 

Ask for assistance!  Take that 10-minute break to sit and meditate, take a walk in nature or around the block. Make a plan and go out on that date night.

 

Make yourself a priority. It may take a little time to begin to feel the effects. There is always a way to work it in.

PLUTO OPPOSITION SATURN

We will focus on Transiting Pluto Opposition Natal Saturn.

 

T Pluto is about transformation and in some cases revolution which speaks highly of the upcoming change from Pluto in Capricorn to its eventual placement in Aquarius. Pluto in general insists that those influenced by its energies have a close, deeper look inside, be honest in this review and make appropriate changes where needed.

 

Pluto can instigate power struggles and ego disputes, but it calls for change at its deepest levels. In Aquarius, Pluto would hope that mankind begins change with humanitarian concerns especially at the moment (November 2023).  It may touch on revolutionary response to the wars and the humanitarian needs and hopefully bring about peace talks although any transformation comes with some resistance, and we can expect some turmoil before resolution can be found.

 

When it comes to an opposition from T Pluto to N Saturn (which some will be experiencing at this time), we can expect that there will be some resistance to the changes taking hold in their lives.  Saturn wants to hold on to tradition or situations even when they are outdated.  It has great perseverance and determination although Pluto is even more determined and certainly has the insistence that we meet whatever demands are currently required to make the necessary changes.

 

Change is apparent for those affected. Even if there is resistance, major alternation will be made. Pluto will overpower Saturn. Those influenced by these energies and having any authority may be swayed by others to make the required changes and they can take a leading role in moving ahead.

 

There will be power struggles, but changes need to be implemented whether this is for the greater good or if they are of a personal nature (as indicated in your chart).

 

Holding on to the past serves little purpose with Pluto’s influence and what was comfortable yesterday may not be that comfortable now.  Transformations are in place and others will very likely have an impact on how and where these changes take hold (opposition energy).  Perhaps you need to transform things on a personal level, but this will affect others, or perhaps others are pushing for transformations and in a big way. Recognize the resistance to the change and how you’re wanting to hold on to what was in place prior to this time.  Changes are in store and although they may take some time to unfold, you will eventually begin anew and realize that what took place (which may take up to 2-3 years to unfold) was exactly what was needed.
