NEPTUNE IN OPPOSITION TO NATAL VENUS

At the time this article was written (March 2025) transiting Neptune is in the sign of Pisces.  It moves into Aries for the first time on March 31, 2025 and then returns to Pisces on October 23 before moving once again into Aries on January 27, 2026, where it will remain for some 15 years.

 

Those that have their Venus in the last degrees of Virgo or the first degrees of Libra will have this opposition influencing their charts. Neptune in Opposition is often referred to as a challenging aspect to deal with.  The most important factor is that you must make sure that you are seeing things as they truly are.  The mind can play games with you, or in this case, the heart can play games with you as quite often Venus and Neptune speak of a love interest.

 

Oppositions often suggest that other people are involved with this influence. Perhaps someone (possibly female) has their hand in what is unfolding.  They could have you by the heart strings and cause some confusion about a relationship, if this is what this is about.  The houses involved will clarify the area of life being affected in your chart.

 

You may feel infatuated by this person and put them on a pedestal.  Once this aspect passes, you will have a much clearer picture of what this relationship entails and what the person is really like.  This is not to say that you are not seeing this person clearly, only that there is often a tendency for that to happen.  Other factors in the chart might prove otherwise. “Are you falling in love?”, or “Does this relationship seem too good to be true?” are questions you might want to ask yourself.

 

Since Venus can be about love and affection, the social scene and/or finances, these areas will or might also be part of the picture.  You may find that under this influence you are invited to more social gatherings where you will meet up with other individuals that often have something that will entice you or be brought to your attention. 

 

If finances are involved, once again, a deal you are presented with might seems too good to be true and this just might be true. Again, the whole chart will tell the story, and the natal potential will have to be reviewed. 

 

With Neptune in opposition to natal Venus, others will likely be involved. Make sure you see things clearly before acting. You may want to consult a trusted friend for their opinion.

URANUS OPPOSITION NATAL SATURN

This article is a good general read for Uranus opposition Natal Saturn. However, to go a little more specific for our current signs affecting Uranus and Saturn, Uranus will remain in the sign of Taurus until July, 2025. As a result, currently Uranus Opposition will specifically affect those who have Saturn in Scorpio in the later degrees to make the opposition.  Saturn was transiting through Scorpio from 1953 to 1956, 1982 to 1985, and 2012 to 2015.  It went into retrograde during these time frames so you will have to check your ephemeris or chart to see if this post applies to you.  Uranus can be felt 5-7° approaching and up to 2° separating but will be the strongest when it is direct (at the exact degree).

 

Those individuals that have Saturn in Scorpio in their astrology birth chart will be deep and reflective, may have some challenges when it comes to revealing the significance of the psychic realm especially in personal terms, and will likely have to work hard to uncover and deal with any taboo subjects that they may identify with, especially from an internal perspective.

 

Now to more general information for Uranus opposition Natal Saturn, Uranus brings about change and can work in disruptive manners, sudden and often unexpectedly, but it offers an understanding of what frequently stands in the way of moving in a new direction.  In this particular case, with Uranus being in Opposition to our Natal Saturn, the need for change may be stimulated from outside of oneself.  Others may be the reason behind the need for change and there may be some disruptive forces that seem to prevail likely to force change on us.

 

Much will depend on the astrological houses involved.  For example, if your Natal Saturn is in the second house, security and finances are something that you need to work on and in this case, it could be Uranus (which would be in the eighth house) bringing change because someone that you depended on has deceased or left your life. Now you may be seeking alimony, must look deeply into shared resources or could be part of a settlement through inheritance where perhaps family members are causing disruption.

 

If Saturn is in the fourth house, then the home and family may be affected. Perhaps your early upbringing was difficult and the family that you grew up with (which may have been strict or restrictive in some way) now is seeing changes due to status, your life’s path, your career being adjusted, or your goals and aspirations now going through some changes.  This can apply to the home and family you have created as well. Much will depend on your age. 

 

If you are in your late 60’s, this may relate to your parents. If you are in your 40’s, this may involve your current home and there being some challenges because of changes taking place at work. If we are speaking of a young person roughly 10 to 13 years old, this may mean that your family is moving and those that you are comfortable with, especially your friends, are now going to be out of reach or further away than you might wish them to be. 

 

With Uranus opposition natal Saturn, change is part of the current process. Because you are comfortable with the way things are at this point, does not mean that change is not required on some level.  Accepting what now flows your way is the best approach.  If you resist, the change may be much more challenging and disruptive.

URANUS OPPOSITION NATAL JUPITER

Transiting Uranus, which is currently (November 2024) in the later degrees of the sign of Taurus and in its fall, is making an Opposition to those with their Natal Jupiter in the final degrees of Scorpio. 

 

Transiting Uranus would also be making an Opposition to those with their Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Saturn in the same late degrees of Scorpio.  However, we are only talking about the Transit of Uranus to our Natal Jupiter in this post.  For further in-depth information regarding these other connections, you can look them up online or have a reputable Astrologer have a look at your chart, if the oppositions are present.

 

Transiting Uranus brings with it the need for change.  It encourages us to make a move and often gives us a little kick to push us ahead.  Its change can be unexpected, erratic, especially as seen by others, and sometimes challenging depending on whether we wish to hold on to something that has become unnecessary or something that no longer suits our evolutionary growth.

 

As mentioned, Uranus often gives us a little kick but if we choose to ignore what now needs to be done, Uranus’ action can become much more destructive or bring hard lessons our way.  This is particularly true if Pluto or Saturn are involved in the equation as well.

 

You can expect the unexpected when it comes to the change that is often accompanied by Transiting Uranus, and when Jupiter is involved, the changes although often brought on by others, (the Opposition aspect) these changes are not only a requirement for growth, but also quite often very favorable as you begin merging with the changes set in place.  If Natal Jupiter is challenged in your natal chart, these changes might not be as easy, but they often offer expansion, good luck and growth on many different levels depending on the houses involved.  Houses are the areas of life that will be enhanced during Uranus’ visit.

 

An example of this, which would likely bring many influential changes, is when the Transit of Uranus contacts an angle.  Uranus on the MC will bring us sudden and unexpected changes within the working environment and affect the home environment and family because not only will it aspect the MC, but Natal Jupiter will be in conjunction the IC. 

 

The Conjunction to the IC will have the most profound effects, but the IC/Jupiter will also play a significant role in what takes hold.  For example, changes may be in effect within your career which will cause major changes within the home front.  Perhaps you are relocated to another city because of your job and now you may need to move.  Perhaps you receive a raise and now you decide to do some work on your house or move to a larger home.

 

Just one example of how this can materialize.

 

With Uranus Opposition Natal Jupiter expect the unexpected. The change may be brought on by someone else, but the outcome will likely be beneficial when the dust clears.

SATURN OPPOSITION NATAL MARS

Saturn is about restriction, delays, setbacks, challenging situations but also has to do with hard work, building a solid foundation and returns on diligent efforts. 

 

Mars has to do with energy, vitality, drive, ambition (ambition which also ties in with Saturn), pushing its way through adversity, and meeting challenging conditions.  Mars also has to do with the sex drive, forcefulness and aggressive actions (this all largely depends on the sign it is in within the natal chart).

 

The meeting of these two energies suggests a lot of push and pull.  The desire to advance with force but at the same time the need for security which can be linked to what is comfortable and therefore suggests a stop and go situation. 

 

“Should I advance with my proposals, am I secure enough to push my way forward, if I push, will I make mistakes along the way, does it really matter if I push too hard, can I learn from my mistakes and begin again” might be questions that you would ask yourself under this influence.

 

You may find that you are anxious about moving ahead with your objectives and at the same time wanting more than anything to advance.

 

When we speak of the opposition aspect, there are almost always other people involved in the equation and their input often plays a significant part in our decision making.  They can also hold us back because they may play a major role in when and how we advance. 

 

Oppositions are often challenging because others may hold control over what we are doing. We may want to move forward but they feel that they know better and give suggestions or even tell us that it can’t be done.

 

This aspect between Saturn and Mars can create quite challenging situations when we want to advance, and much will depend on the houses these two planets are in as well as the overall picture provided by the natal chart itself.  The Natal chart always shows potential and difficulties, but most can be overcome through attitude or planning. 

 

With Saturn opposition Natal Mars, you undoubtedly will be able to figure out which way to go but not without some restraint and perhaps some setbacks along the way.  Advance accordingly and make sure you take your time and study your plans carefully before you take that next step.

SATURN IN OPPOSITION TO NATAL SATURN

The opposition of transiting Saturn to its natal position occurs around the age 74.  At the same time, we are also amid our Nodal Return.  This can be an important time in life for finding one’s path and learning from important life lessons up to this point in life.

 

Transiting Saturn Opposition Natal Saturn is a time of reassessment and reflection of our life’s path, and we are pushed to take responsibility for much of how our lives have developed thus far.  This can be a time of building structure and create growth moving us towards our destiny or the way forward at least for the current time frame and path.

 

We are now at a mature stage in life, have met many challenges and realized that we are stronger than we might otherwise have thought previously.  How else did we get this far? 

 

In many ways we did this on our own although when we speak of the opposition (Saturn to Saturn). We can now listen to advice from others before making decisions that will affect the rest of our time on earth.  We may find those that we deem as authority figures and that are reliable connections can be of assistance to us. 

 

This can be the time to make a commitment to future growth and if we have felt off our path, this is the time to find where our path should be.  At around the age of 72, we experienced the return of Jupiter to its original position and this placement, which is often a growth and expansive period, can enhance where we are heading now. 

 

Each of us entering this timeframe of our lives will have opportunities, although not often seen in this aspect, to reflect and make significant changes, knowing that we oversee our lives and our attitudes. 

 

We will need to check the house where our Natal Saturn is found and the house that Transiting Saturn now occupies to get a clearer picture of what potential lies ahead.  At the same time, look at the aspects to the natal Saturn along with other aspects currently activating this and other parts of the chart. 

 

The Nodal positioning by sign and house will give deeper insight as to what this time in life is about and what direction we might want to take.  Some will know they are on path at this time and will not need to make choices on direction and much of this will be defined by the natal potential found within the birth chart.

 

Oppositions are said to be challenging but much depends on our view of what is taking place and how much attention we give to those that are speaking to us.  Take their advice and do not be offended. Listen carefully to what is being provided to you and get beneath the surface on any issue.

TRANSITING SATURN OPPOSITION NATAL MC

Before we go into transiting Saturn opposition Natal MC (Medium Coeli), we should also understand that it will also be making a Conjunction to the IC (Imum Coeli).  The Conjunction is actually more powerful than the Opposition and changes will take hold primarily within the family unit, the home environment and who we are in personal terms, perhaps a part that only we know. 

 

Saturn can be very discriminating and astute with letting us know, through challenging conditions, where we need to build structure and what needs to be defined clearly.  It does not hold back anything when it comes to the truth and will create what is needed, which may be through painstaking effort.

 

When we look at the opposition to the MC, the likelihood of this being stimulated by something that is taking hold either from within (the individual) or from outside influences, especially from family is strong.  Perhaps the family moves, and the career or life objectives will also have to adjust along with this move.  Perhaps the changes that are taking place at home cause an adjustments which  affects the occupation and your goals in life.

 

Outside influences in a challenging manner push us to adjust, to reevaluate and to challenge ourselves to work through adversity that is present within our occupation.  This is a challenging situation because perhaps things have been moving along smoothly and then there is a shift and work becomes a hinderance or our goals and aspirations may be difficult to follow.  We might even have to adjust because our superiors or a parent now needs our care.

 

Perhaps the home front changes, and we now need more financial support to make things work more favorably.  We may have to take on extra work or adjust our spending habits to make things work.  Outside influences cause concern within our occupation, and because of others, we will be challenged.  This can create more work, less time to be spent with family and more concerns about where life is taking us.

 

Remember during these challenges that Saturn is the teacher and will help us to build a solid foundation that we can rely upon in the future.

TRANSITING JUPITER OPPOSITION NATAL MERCURY

Mercury in the natal chart sits fairly dormant until it becomes activated by a Transit or Progression.  Much of its energies deals with mental conceptualization and communication.  The mind is ruled by the planet Mercury and our reasoning abilities and schooling often are influenced by the planet Mercury, its sign position, house location as well as the aspects from other planets it receives in the Natal chart.

 

If Mercury is poorly aspected or better still challenged by natal positioning this often indicates someone who may have difficulty concentrating, difficulty with the written word, perhaps difficulty with speaking (i.e. stuttering), etc.  This can indicate challenges with communication in general.  This is likely corrected and dealt with accordingly as they age and learn to adapt to these difficulties. 

 

On the contrary, those with a well-aspected Natal Mercury may have no problem speaking and relating to others and may even have teaching capabilities.  They may be well educated and may also be studious.  Some may have literary abilities becoming writers, public speakers and so forth.  The mind works well, and the IQ may be higher than the norm.  They may be good at solving problems, able to communicate easily or easier than others and in some cases (Mercury in Scorpio for example) may be considered deep thinkers.

 

Jupiter is nearly always considered a positive aspect in that it engages itself through expansion and growth on many levels.  It often indicates opportunities when in transit, and life flowing in a more pleasant manner.  Jupiter can bring important forethought when connected to Mercury, an ability for increase in oral communication, speech and vocabulary explorations and more ways of communicating.  The mind and the intellect may be enhanced, and new ideas may come to the surface easily.  New ways of doing things may also emerge as well as opportunities for growth in fields such as literature, education, clergy or religious inclinations, spirituality, and life’s philosophy learned through life’s experience.  We can move forward in great strides when Mercury is stimulated by Jupiter.

 

Although the Opposition is considered one of the more challenging aspects in Astrology, not many planets can affect Natal Jupiter negatively. While in transit, it often produces potential for growth and expansion on some level.  The house position and sign will affect the overall potential of how this may unfold and once again the aspects that Natal Mercury has to it will play a big part in the eventual unfolding of any potential. 

 

It should be noted that even those with a challenged Mercury in the natal chart over time can turn things around and make their personal positioning of Mercury work in their favor.  Challenges in life often produce the best results because they force us to work harder and learn from our shortcomings. 

 

It should also be noted that with the energies of Transiting Jupiter in Opposition to Natal Mercury, others people will often be part of the scenario as the energies are unleashed.  Oppositions often suggest that other people are involved, sometimes in a challenging way but other times it can be in a more gentle manner.

PLUTO OPPOSITION SATURN

We will focus on Transiting Pluto Opposition Natal Saturn.

 

T Pluto is about transformation and in some cases revolution which speaks highly of the upcoming change from Pluto in Capricorn to its eventual placement in Aquarius. Pluto in general insists that those influenced by its energies have a close, deeper look inside, be honest in this review and make appropriate changes where needed.

 

Pluto can instigate power struggles and ego disputes, but it calls for change at its deepest levels. In Aquarius, Pluto would hope that mankind begins change with humanitarian concerns especially at the moment (November 2023).  It may touch on revolutionary response to the wars and the humanitarian needs and hopefully bring about peace talks although any transformation comes with some resistance, and we can expect some turmoil before resolution can be found.

 

When it comes to an opposition from T Pluto to N Saturn (which some will be experiencing at this time), we can expect that there will be some resistance to the changes taking hold in their lives.  Saturn wants to hold on to tradition or situations even when they are outdated.  It has great perseverance and determination although Pluto is even more determined and certainly has the insistence that we meet whatever demands are currently required to make the necessary changes.

 

Change is apparent for those affected. Even if there is resistance, major alternation will be made. Pluto will overpower Saturn. Those influenced by these energies and having any authority may be swayed by others to make the required changes and they can take a leading role in moving ahead.

 

There will be power struggles, but changes need to be implemented whether this is for the greater good or if they are of a personal nature (as indicated in your chart).

 

Holding on to the past serves little purpose with Pluto’s influence and what was comfortable yesterday may not be that comfortable now.  Transformations are in place and others will very likely have an impact on how and where these changes take hold (opposition energy).  Perhaps you need to transform things on a personal level, but this will affect others, or perhaps others are pushing for transformations and in a big way. Recognize the resistance to the change and how you’re wanting to hold on to what was in place prior to this time.  Changes are in store and although they may take some time to unfold, you will eventually begin anew and realize that what took place (which may take up to 2-3 years to unfold) was exactly what was needed.
