TRANSITING PLUTO SQUARE NATAL SUN

Pluto remains between 16-18 degrees of Capricorn for the remainder of 2017.  Those with their Sun in Libra and Aries will have this square affecting their natal charts.  We will not be defining the difference between having an Aries Sun or having a Libra Sun, but will discuss the square from Pluto.  The closer to exact (16-18 degrees), the stronger the intensity of Pluto’s energy.  As it moves past your natal Sun, its energies begin to wane off and by 2-3 degrees past exact, the energies are mostly finished, but this will be the time that you start to understand the meaning behind what took place.  It can take as much as 2 years to get the full picture of what this transit means if it affects you.

Pluto has a powerful influence as it passes across this area of your Sun.  The Sun deals with who you are, your ambitions.  It also deals with your sense of direction as you mature into yourself.  Pluto’s intent is to make you dig into the depths to find out just who you are and what makes you tick.  It pushes you to uncover your inner weaknesses as well as your strengths.  Its influence forces you to make transformations to yourself that eventually will make you stronger and more self-assured.  This may not be overly pleasant during the transition, as Pluto is subtle in its energies at first and then it intensifies as it asks you for honesty and then creates change.

Pluto is ego consciousness.  It is power driven and control driven.  Its influence will make its effects felt often through ego interactions with others or with yourself.  You may have to stand up and fight for your beliefs and even for your rights.  However, use discretion and diplomacy if at all possible or you might find that you have forceful opposition against you.  Powerful ego disputes often come to the surface especially when aggressive forces are at work.  If you try to push your will on others, you might find that you have a war on your hands.  Likewise, if others push their beliefs on you, you may have to stand up for your rights.  Power struggles are commonplace.

The Sun also governs your physical body and these powerful energies can take their toll on you physically, emotionally and mentally.  Some may need to seek professional help if the energies are too strong.  If this is the case, do not procrastinate and try to fight it on your own.  If you are struggling to no avail, reach out.  Sometimes others can provide you with the assistance you need and help you overcome these energies. 

Keep your body and mind strong at this time.  Physical exercise routines may be something you might want to put into motion.  It takes some of the stress of the body and you can be quite resilient under this influence.  You are stronger than you think.

DO NOT FORGET YOUR IDENTITY

Amidst all that goes on in a day, it is easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle and we can lose site of who we are.  We get so caught up in the “story” of our lives.  We are here to simply live and fulfill the quest of the soul.  Do not let anything dilute living now in this moment.

It is important not to lose sight of the fact that we are spirit living a human existence. 

It may sound cold and it certainly is not meant to be as we feel compassion and love are the two most important responses in life.  However, do not get consumed by human suffering and worry about what the final outcome might be.  We came from pure spirit and are part of the source whole.  We are spirit housed in physical bodies living an earthly experience and can easily forgetting our true identity.  We are spirit and in this form have a pure understanding of all things.  Leaning true love and compassion far outweighs the importance of any material gains that can be obtained while in physical form.

We are spirit, complete and whole - no missing links.  We are here to live this very moment.  This appears to be a transitional moment.  Is this moment to free mankind from control and power struggles?  Can we help mankind recognize its true quest to strive for love, peace, compassion, happiness and contentment in the moment?

It appears to be a critical point in our evolution?  Are we the forerunners of this development?  Do we hold the key to this goal?  Without ego involvement, never belittle your importance.

FORECASTS FOR THE SIGN OF LIBRA, PART II

LIBRA SUN CONJUNCT VENUS/MARS continued

Mars

Mars moves slower than Venus (Venus discussed in Part I) and will be in effect from October 23 to December 10, 2017.  It will move through the sign of Libra (and further) which will affect all those with their Sun in Libra with this conjunction. 

The energy of Mars is quite different from the energies of Venus and what might have been a casual beginning in a relationship that started during the Venus cycle can move into the next phase as Mars and its energy takes over.  The relationship can become much more sexual and the energies much more vital and enthusiastic.  It will be important to recognize that the energies of Mars can be quite explosive and at times volatile as well.

Often there is ego intrusion when Mars is involved and it is important to handle these energies constructively.  There is no benefit to arguing to prove you are right.  It is far more productive to agree to disagree and take a more friendly approach in life.  At times, however, you may feel that you need to express yourself in a more vigorous manner and even defend your rights.  Remember Libra is about justice, but peaceful resolutions are always suggested.  Under any condition, an agreeable solution can be found.

You may feel very confident about what you are saying under the energies of Mars, and you may be right and on target with what you believe you should stand up for. Remember, however, other people also have the right to have their say.  We can create problems if we feel our opinion is the only one worth listening to. 

The Sun’s energies sometimes speak of superiors.  Its energies can also speak of the father or an aggressive, young male.  Be sure you are not creating issues with such people.  Again, being right is not always the most important situation in life.  Usually, the need to be right is ego based.

During this aspect, it will be a good time to pursue your goals in life, as you will have plenty of energy to promote your ideas.  It is also a favourable time for promotion and getting recognition for your efforts.  Do not be boisterous about your achievements.  Once again watch for ego domination.  It is certainly alright to be proud of your accomplishments or ideas that you want to bring to the forefront and to promote these to your superiors.  Some with this aspect will get recognition at this time and even see promotions or advancement in their pay and duties, especially if the MC or Saturn is also involved.

There is a lot of energy attached to this conjunction between Mars and the Sun.  The conjunction represents the molding of these energies and can enhance them.  Mars, as mentioned, can be quite volatile and although this is often not the unquestionable rule, it is wise to operate machinery with care and also to drive carefully during this conjunction.  Rushing is not advised, as accidents have been known to happen with these extreme energies.  This is not to say that you are accident prone but take your time and relax as much as you can. 

DO NOT read this and start worrying over this conjunction.  There would have to be other mitigating factors at work in your chart repeating the same potentials for the less desirable energies of this aspect to be worrisome.  We simply give a warning so that everyone can be vigilant to reduce risks.

FORCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL

It is with a heavy heart that we have watched and listened to all that has transpired on the numerous islands and the state of Florida and north as a result of Hurricane Irma, the other hurricanes that followed, the earthquakes in Mexico, etc.  Countless people have lost their homes, their belongings, have been displaced and even worse have lost loved ones because of these events.

 

Some question why. 

So many have stepped up to the plate and have offered assistance in varying forms to these areas and their people. 

It can be very trying facing Mother Nature as well are the varying other forms of storms of life.  How do you pick up the pieces and move on?

In monetary ways, we pull together and rebuild our lives after such tragedies in one way or another, but the memories of the events are not soon forgotten.  Many will rebuild but once the physical life is back to normal, many, many people will struggle with the emotional scars left behind.  The emotional trauma can be much more difficult to move beyond.  Some come through feeling blessed for having survived; others come through with great emotional scars. 

In reality, all we ever have had and all we ever will have is this particular moment.  We must remember to live in this moment.  This can be a challenge but if we want to truly live, there is no choice.  We can get caught up in the past or worry about the future which leads to struggles with which we have no control.  Attitude once again, plays the most significant role in how we move forward.

Our hearts and positive thoughts are with all of those who have been touched and are still being touched by these events.  It is our hope that you come through this even stronger than previously.  It is amazing how these types of events can pull people together.  The generosity of others will help the physical conditions.  We are one people without borders.  What one experiences, on some level, we all experience.

2017 FORECASTS FOR LIBRA, PART I

This forecast is focused on those individuals with the Sun in the sign of Libra, and is also good reference material for those who have dealings with Libra individuals and for those with an interest in the continued education of Astrology.  It is important to take into consideration all signs, planets, houses, etc. when concluding on specific character traits of those born under the sign of Libra (or any other sign for that matter).  The whole chart must be reviewed to get a clear and full understanding of any individual.

With this in mind, Libra individuals are generally motivated to being social and are interactive with others.  They are cooperative and are always looking for ways to create peace and harmony in what surrounds them.  They can be diplomatic and outspoken when the need arises but in general are quite amiable and tend to wish for fairness in life.  They seek the middle ground and will often present two points of view (both sides of the story) if there is any opposition.  They move from one solution to another so as not to make waves.  This can often creates strife with those involved on one side or the other of a debate. 

Life does need guidelines, and Libra, being focused on justice, represents what could be called fairness and equality for all those that are touched by life’s circumstances.

LIBRA SUN CONJUNCT VENUS/MARS/JUPITER

Venus moves into the sign of Libra on October 15, 2017.  Mars moves into the sign of Libra on October 23, 2017 and Jupiter remains in Libra until October 11, 2017. 

Those with their Sun in the early degrees of Libra will be experiencing these conjunctions to Venus and also to Mars, while those with their Sun in the later degrees of Libra will be experiencing the conjunction to Jupiter.  The distance between transiting Venus and transiting Mars is too wide of an angle to be conjunct one another, but could indirectly affect those within a 5 – 8 degree orb of both planets.  Some Astrologer give as much as a 10 degree orb of influence but those not in tune to the energies of life may not feel a 10 degree orb.

Venus

The Sun will conjunct Venus into early November and the Sun and Venus together is usually a favourable combination.  It can indicate social affairs and gathering with people potentially discussing such things as marital plans and social functions.  In most cases, these gatherings are friendly and filled with warmth and affection.  These are generally peaceful gatherings and yet can also focus on business.  If business related, you may be setting up current or future plans that would be very beneficial for all involved.  The meetings are usually amiable, and a positive agreement is often a by-product of such productive gatherings.

This is also a time when love relationships seem to surface.  This could include a new romantic involvement or in connection with one that already exists.  There is an apparent feeling associated with the union that seems cordial and friendly and there is no telling where these relationships can go under these pleasant conjunction energies.  If there are feelings that need to be shared, this is the ideal time to do so. 

Love is in the air and friendship can move to the next level.  This is an ideal time for the affections to be brought out into the open.  Much does depend, however, on what the rest of the chart is saying as mentioned at the beginning of this post.  To reiterate, we are simply focusing on just the energies of link between these planets.

SUN IN LIBRA - SEPTEMBER 23, 2017

The Sun moves into the sign of Libra on September 23, 2017.  It has just left the conscientious, meticulous sign of Virgo and now moves into a much more moderate energy.  Libra’s energy is compromising and works in diplomatic ways to create peace and harmony.  Libra is a balancing sign.  Many people believe it to be a balanced sign, but this is not the case.  Peace and harmony are key to Libra finding balance and Libra will go to extremes to create this for themselves and others.

Libra is a very social sign and is intellectual.  These individuals love a good debate, although it will moderate the conversation if things tend to seem out of balance.  Libra is the peacekeeper of the Zodiac and will take great measures to uphold this even if it means taking both sides of an issue.  This can create problems but regardless, Libra will work tirelessly towards its peaceful objective. 

Libra individuals also carry out the duties of judge as they do not only need balance they also need justice.  Under these circumstances, this will be a time that they are willing to cross the line and make judgements towards what they believe is right and wrong whatever the case may be.

Libra is ruled by the planet Venus which represents loves, beauty and elegance.  They are refined in their nature and come across as gentle and kind individuals.  They bend with the flow sometimes easily, especially if there are a lot of mutable planetary influences in the natal chart.  For those individuals with a heavy Libra influence in their chart, their home is often lavishly furnished, and elegance is more important than comfort.  This is reflected in their dress, their automobile and their home furnishings, if it is at all feasible.  There even will be times when money does not matter as much as being surrounded by elegance.

As mentioned, these individuals are social creatures and they can be a great friend and wonderful companion.   When in love, they often marry young and in some cases get married several times trying to find the perfect partner.  Partnership is extremely important and many Libra individuals do not feel whole unless engaged in a meaningful relationship. 

There is also a love of entertainment and they will work tirelessly to create the perfect surroundings, including food and activities which will be coupled with fun.  They can be very enjoyable to be around and often come across as sociable and make great conversation even with those that they are not familiar with.  These individuals are diplomatic, gracious hosts and more often than not, they are extraverts.

There will be people who will not agree with these character traits because they know a Libra that does not display these characteristics.  It is important to take the whole chart into consideration when speaking of someone’s characteristics.  The Sun sign is the inner person only seen by those close to the individual.  We, in general, show our Rising or Ascendant sign to the world.  For example, you may have a Libra Sun.  On an internal level, you would have these characteristics, but you may have several planets either in Aries or Scorpio or Capricorn.  If, for example, your rising (Ascendant) sign is Capricorn, you have four planets in the first house and Moon and Mars are in Scorpio, your Libra characteristics would be greatly watered down and would be overpowered by these other more dominant signs’ energies.  It is always important to take into consideration all the variables within the whole horoscope.  What we are presenting are the standard characteristics of Libra without influence by any other sign.

FALL EQUINOX (MABON)

This year, 2017, the Fall equinox falls on September 22.

The fall equinox (equal division of day and night) is also called Mabon.  It is a time to celebrate the reaping of the rewards of our hard labour and gathering the harvest. The Fall equinox is a time of reflection on the harvest of our achievements.  It is often considered a time of change. It is linked to the sign Libra (which the Sun enters Libra on September 23, 2017) which above all else is a balancing sign. The balance we strive for is the knowledge of what to hold on to and what to let go of.

We now reap the rewards of our labours and if we have not sown the seeds of life in the manner we feel we should have, we may have to sacrifice some goals because of these shortfalls and count our losses.

Astrologically, the Fall equinox represents a balancing point between our self-image and any disapproval we may have with our view of ourselves. This is a perfect time to reflect on our goals for our life’s quest and the conquests in our lives. This review will assist us in recognizing our abilities and true selves.

The spring equinox is linked to the sign Aries and Aries begins things and initiates action. These two points (spring and fall equinox) are known as cardinal points. The cardinal points in the horoscope are known as action points. They are used as timing devices and lead to activity, drive, ambition, and involvement. During these two cycles, we should consider it a time of action -- either related to the start of something or the end or culmination point of whatever action we have already taken.  These two equinoxes can be compared to the Full Moon and the New Moon and their symbolism of planting and harvesting.

It is a time to actively pursue a course of action, to take control of our lives and push forward in the direction of our choice. Again, Cardinal signs are action oriented and strive for activity that is often personally initiated. This will be the time to make things happen. Do not wait for or rely on others to get the ball rolling.

This is an annual reminder to push ahead or count our blessings and our losses.  Use the energies of the equinox to push forward.  Make the changes needed and address any situation that needs addressing.  This is not the time to play ostrich so to speak.  The time has come to move beyond any stagnated stages of life that have held us back.

NEW MOON IN VIRGO - SEPTEMBER 20, 2017

The New Moon is the best time to begin new plans, and when in the sign of Virgo, the energies suggest looking after your health’s needs, including a nutritional diet. 

Some Astrologers have noted that the quincunx aspect is associated with health concerns and because Uranus is in quincunx to this New Moon’s placement, it is highly suggested that you look after yourself and make health a priority during this phase.  Beginning new healthy eating habits would fit well with the energies suggested.

This, of course, applies certainly to those individuals with their Sun and/or other planets in the sign of Virgo and at the 27 degree mark.  You can allow an orb of 7 degrees either side of this 27 degree mark.  Be sure to look at the planets involved and the energy that each of them represent.  Check the houses placement as well, as this will be the areas of life involved. 

The placement of the New Moon by house is significant as this area will be affected not only by the New Moon’s placement, but will be squared by Saturn, which will add some stability and practicality to the equation, although some lessons by Saturn are indicated.

The Moon and Uranus push for change and create fluctuations at this time.  This is why focusing on looking after your health (which is ruled by Virgo and the sixth house) is a good plan.  Service is also a key factor behind the energies of Virgo although at this time these energies should be focused on you rather than on something or someone else.

This is certainly not just a health related position.  You should be open to beginning a new project of some sort.  The Astrology house involved will emphasis this.  The house involved could dictates this new focus could be a work oriented project for example.  With these energies, we have great abilities when it comes to being analytical as well as being practical particularly if it makes other links to other planets and points in your chart.  If you receive recognition for your efforts, all the better as encouragement goes a long way. 

With this Virgo influence, you have to watch for becoming overly critical.  You will see all the little flaws and chances are no one else will be as critical as you will be.  Let go of perfections and just do your best.  Do not become stuck on possible outcomes or failures.  A positive approach is the best route to follow under any circumstance.

If you decide to work on yourself at this time both physically and mentally, this is a great time to uncover things within that might need rejuvenation or even transformation.  Pluto supplies this energy as it is in trine to this New Moon position.  Pluto energies want to control what is taking place in your life and you will need to have a leading role as things unfold. 

You will have great understanding capabilities as Mercury rules the sign of Virgo.  You will be able focus and bring to light anything that really needs your attention.

TIME IS ON YOUR SIDE

Many of us sit in wait for the perfect time to move on our goals.  We feel as though there is plenty of time to get things done and do not think in terms of time restrictions or delays.  We believe we always have tomorrow and what will not get done today will certainly wait until tomorrow.  There is no urgency.  There is no rush.  There is plenty of time.

We always have tomorrow even if we pass from this world today.  We are energy - a current of life that never ceases.  If we did not accomplish something in this life time, we were not meant to.  If we did not learn the lesson as well as we should have, we will enjoy the lesson again in some other form or another. 

Life is perpetual but does that mean that we should wait or procrastinate?  I think not.  We are here to live so live we should.  Our greatest potential lies within this very moment that we are currently experiencing.  Should we waste it?  Again, I think not!

There is no greater opportunity than now.  All we have is this very moment.  There is truly no time like the present.  To state this even more precisely, there is only this time at the present.  We waste opportunity by sitting back and waiting for the perfect opportunity to present itself. 

It is said that some things are worth waiting for but does this insinuate inaction?  Perhaps we simply need time to prepare.  If this is the case, utilize this time preparing.  Perhaps the timing just does not feel right, then let’s use our intuition but do not procrastinate.  There is a difference.

If you feel you should move forward with your objective now, then undoubtedly you should.  If you feel now is not the time, then perhaps you should wait.  Perhaps this intuition is telling you that you have not done all of the necessary prep work. 

If, however, you have been putting something off for a long time and you keep making excuses as to why you should not move ahead, it is certainly time to examine why.  The only thing to fear is fear itself.  Do not let fear dictate.  If it is fear of failure or a feeling of never being totally prepared, it might just be time to rise above these fears and take that plunge.

We are never at the mercy of life, although we are often at the mercy of our beliefs.  Do not let fear stand in the way of your progress and do not be afraid of the outcome.  The biggest regrets we can have are regrets of inaction.  You will know instinctively when the time is right if you remove fear and doubt.

TRANSITING PLUTO IN OPPOSITION TO MERCURY

Mercury is the planet of ideas, beliefs and communication. 

Pluto’s energies are intent on breaking down what needs transformed. 

As Pluto tears apart concepts and communication techniques while in opposition to Mercury, it replaces them with something stronger and more viable.  Pluto creates change and is often revolutionary.  It also creates power struggles especially if you are unwilling to bend to its transformative energies.  Check your personal chart to see if and when this aspect may occur for you.

The opposition usually implies that other people are involved and the area of communication may be receiving unusual intimidations during this time.  There may be difficulties involving communication, and efforts getting your point across can be challenging.  It seems that other people may not agree with what you say and any kind of dialogue which gets heated is subject to collapses.

You may be unwilling to bend and strongly feel that what you say is correct yet you find that others seem to be challenging your ideas and plans.  You may find that it is best to sit back and hear what the others have to say.  Being too aggressive in your belief structures and being unwilling to bend can and probably will create tension and arguments. 

Riding roughshod over others may be part of the problem or vise-versa--others could be bullying you.  You may have to stand up for your rights and push a little or you may have to back down, not in defeat but in recognition that others just might provide important information.  Stand back and listen and then make you stance if you are not wrong.  You may be in a much better place if you learn to conform a little or listen to get more facts.  If you have taken the time to make sure that what you are saying or striving for is the right move to make then perhaps you have to stand tall if it is for the best for all involved.

 

Watch for ego interfering during this opposition and only stand up for what you know is right without a doubt.  If you still cannot make headway then perhaps you do not have to prove you are right to anyone but yourself.  Pluto can become quite obsessive about being right and you will have to watch for this.

Check to see which houses are being affected by this opposition (if and when it occurs in your chart) to know which areas of life are being activated.  The general condition of your Mercury in the natal chart will also determine how this aspect will present itself to you.

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT NATAL MERCURY

Transiting Saturn is currently in the sign of Sagittarius and will remain within the last ten degrees of Sagittarius well into December, 2017.  Saturn which is often linked to disciplined action and restrained conditions moving through the sign of Sagittarius (the sign of higher learning, optimism and philosophical teachings) will be testing our ability to focus through sometimes stifling conditions to stay true to our beliefs.  This is particularly true when Saturn, through transit, conjuncts our natal Mercury.

The energies of Mercury in Sagittarius is very open minded and approaches life from a religious and philosophical vantage point. 

Saturn will have been testing our beliefs that are linked to higher learning and will test our commitment by putting challenges in place which in turn will push us to reach within for some of the answers that may be plaguing us.  Luckily, those who have Mercury in the sign of Sagittarius have the ability to rise above most of life’s struggles and maintaining a healthy outlook.  Nothing much stands in the way of progressive thinking.

How do others see you?  Is this important?

How to you see yourself?  This opinion is very important.

Are you outspoken?  Do you stand behind you ideals and allow them to motivate you? 

Are you an independent thinker or are you easily swayed by what others say or think? 

In the face of adversity do you believe that the tough get going or do you check out when the going gets tough?

Much of who we are and how we define ourselves comes from our own concept of what we believe we are capable of doing and of being for that matter.  We either believe in ourselves, or we are at the mercy of what others or we think we are.

PROGRESSED SUN CONJUNCT THE MIDHEAVEN OR ASCENDANT

The progressed Sun moves one degree per year.  The progressed Sun governs ambition, power and authority.  It also reflects our vitality and our ability to recuperate from illnesses.  It often identifies the husband or father in a woman’s chart as well as authority figures in life such as your superiors within the working environment.  It could, however, also be directly related to you personally.

The influence of the progressed Sun on the Midheaven or Ascendant is generally in effect for three years.  The energies can be felt as much as one and one-half degrees before it becomes direct and for the same extended degree after it moves away from being exact. 

When the progressed Sun is in conjunction with the natal Ascendant, it can indicate a time of advancement in life on many levels.  This could include favourable opportunities for change in life and opportunities for inner achievement and/or outer success.  It can also indicate the potential for meeting someone in life that has a great influence on you and will teach you many life lessons.  It could also suggest that the father or in some cases your son has available to them opportunities that the aspect and placement is suggesting.   These influences would be of a positive note if there are other conditions within the chart that suggest similar opportunities.

The progressed Sun on the Ascendant often implies that health is robust and feelings linked to good health is often a by-product.  Much depends on the influence of other transits and progressions affecting the Ascendant during the three year period of influence.

When the progressed Sun is in conjunction to the Midheaven, depending on the age of the individual, we may find advancement opportunities in occupation or there may be a graduation from such as University.  Some of life’s objectives often materialize when the progressed Sun reaches this degree.  More opportunities for our hopes and wishes to manifest are often indicated when the Progressed Sun reaches the MC (Midheaven).  Changes of a positive nature to our status may occur or present themselves.  Much depends on the natal potential, but nonetheless, the time is ripe for opportunities to enhance the career or move ahead in life during this aspect.

If the Progressed Sun were conjunct the MC, it would also be in opposition to the IC often suggesting changes to the home environment and to family members.  Oppositions usually imply actions from someone else.  This could suggest that a son or possibly a daughter might move from home especially if Venus or Mars is somehow connected to this position.  There may be potential for some type of income or opportunities involving the home.  More potential is suggested when the Progressed Sun is in conjunction to the IC, as conjunctions offer more opportunities than an oppositions angle.  Oppositions often suggest reversals or challenging conditions that often stem from others.

When deciphering the Progressed Sun always take into consideration the potential in the natal chart and the transits and progressions to the chart as a whole.  Remember there has to be three or more similar aspects to stimulate an event, either through transit or progression.  The more aspects involved suggesting something similar, the greater the possibility for an event to occur.

WHERE DO YOU PLACE YOUR FOCUS?

Do your struggles seem to be endless? 

The darkest moment is always just before the dawn.  Life’s circumstances always rebound and although the course we take is not always the course we had hoped for, our actual journey will transform us and teach us the lessons that we need to learn. 

You may ask “how long do I have to wait?” when you feel as though you are at the end of my ropes. 

Truly, there is nothing in this life that you are not strong enough to (or capable of) overcoming unless, of course, you give up and you allow your attitude to sink below the positive focus of your current learning experience.  If you actually want to succeed, giving up in reality is not an option.  If you can recognize the constant nagging voice that keeps you in your darkest moments, and know it for what it truly is (ego) than you can stop identifying with it and its nagging message.  Recognize it for what it is….blah, blah chatter!

Nothing can hurt us more in life than our relentless ego and many get so lost in its deceitful message.  They believe this negative message to be true and going one step further, they believe that this message is part of the self.  When we allow ourselves to bask in the sorrows of ego’s message, we completely identify with its message and making it our own.  It is then that we become blind and numb to the truth because we are so engulfed in its message. We become overwhelmed because we forget how to turn it off and are bombarded with ego’s constant defiling message that eventually drowns hope. 

Recognize any type of negativity.  Put ego in its proper place.  Channel your thoughts in a different direction when you catch any negative connotations.  No matter how hard, force yourself to see the positive in each and every event you experience.  In the beginning, it will be hard to find that one small positive spark but if you look deep enough, even in the most bleak moments, there is a shred of light. 

For each and every one of us, there will be moments to face when we have to make life changing decisions.  All change can be difficult if we do not let go of the past to move into our future.  Our positive decisions can open doors of opportunities unlike anything we have ever known before.  It is frightening to release our grip on the past even if the things and people of our past no longer serve our positive growth.  We do have the strength to let go so that we can reach forward to grasp our future. 

Have faith in the process.  Have faith in yourself.  Know that we are expanding and growing even during the most uncomfortable circumstances.  Our attitude forms a large portion of our reality.  If we focus on those things that we do not enjoy or like, our life will feel as though it is heavy and stagnant.  If we focus on the blessings and the joys in our life, life will feel expansive and joyful.  When we change our attitude, we change our circumstances.  These changes will require action on our part.  If we are positive, we will have faith in ourselves and in the events in our life. 

Change is inevitable.  If we fight it, we create discord.  We will survive and be stronger and more resilient after each life lesson.  Stay true to yourself, not your ego.

TRANSITING SATURN SQUARE NATAL SUN (VIRGO)

Transiting Saturn currently in the sign of Sagittarius and will have a serious approach to religion, life’s philosophies and have a strict code of moral principles.  Saturn will push for the search for truth through a distinctive disciplined approach.  Hard work is what we are talking about, and absolutely no shortcuts will be acceptable. 

Sagittarius does soften Saturn’s approach to learning these lessons and although Saturn will insist on structure and the tried and tested route, Sagittarius will insist on looking at life’s truth on a broad spectrum.

Saturn in square to the Virgo Sun will suppress your self-expression even with the Sagittarius influence.  It will make you more discriminating and also more than likely make you learn through challenging situations that can come into play.  If Saturn or the Sun (again for those with their Sun in Virgo) are found in the tenth or sixth house, these challenges could be related to the occupation or working environment - this includes those individuals that you may be working with. 

Sometimes this aspect suggests challenging conditions linked to the father or to someone in a position of authority in your life.

 

You may have to prove yourself and try to obtain recognition for all your hard work.  Perhaps it is a raise you are searching for or moving forward with a business proposition. Nothing comes easy, but with hard work and a diligent effort, you have the potential to not only succeed in your endeavour but to rise above any expectations you may have. 

Do not become dismayed if you fail the first time.  Keep trying and make changes where applicable.  This is a great time for achievement if you do your best and do not give up.  

If by chance you find that you are still falling short of your objectives, you may have to stop your pursuit and cut your loses all together.  Do not develop an attitude of defeat.  Stay strong even in the face of failure and move forward in another direction.  If the ground work was not put in place, there will not be an end reward.  Much can be realized at this time, but it does take hard work and disciplined action on your part.

The Sun also deals with vitality.  During this phase, you may find that you are short on energy.  It is vital that you look after your body’s needs during this transit and that you maintain a healthy outlook on life as well.  Some can experience depression and self-defeatist attitude during this time.  It is suggested that you seek professional help if issues seems too much to bare. 

Again, exercise and healthy eating is a must.  Look after yourself.  A healthy attitude and a healthy body go a long way. 

Do not be too hard on yourself.  This too will pass if you are finding it stressful.

This is a great time, however, for advancement after some focused effort.  You can accomplish great feats if you follow through.  Perseverance is required and you may find that one of the greatest lessons at this time is patience and alignment with the positive elements in your life.

TRANSITING MERCURY CONJUNCT NATAL SUN

On September 11, 2017, transiting Mercury will move into the sign of Virgo making a conjunction to the Sun for those born under the Sun sign of Virgo.  Transiting Mercury moves rather quickly through the Zodiac and it will not be going into retrograde motion throughout its journey through Virgo this year.  It moves into Libra on October 1, 2017 (moving approximately 1 ½ degrees each day).

 

Mercury is a very neutral planet and actually needs stimulation to become activated.  Once active, it operates mainly on a mental level through acts of communication either through the written word or in conversation.  It helps us when making important decisions and is associated with signing agreements.   Mercury also has to do with everyday activities, and in general, how the mind relates to stimuli as well as how we express ourselves, verbally.

It is important to take into consideration other planets which either are transiting through the houses making connections to our Sun and/or natal Mercury and which angles they are making.  As mentioned, Mercury is a neutral planet and will take up energies of any planet that it is touched by aspect.  Also Mercury will take on the energies of a transit attached to your natal Mercury’s position in the birth chart.  These are examples of how Mercury will become activated and how it shares its energies.

Getting back to the current Mercury conjunction with the Sun, in general, it is favourable unless there are other mitigating aspects that are also defining its position in the birth chart.  If you have favourable aspects linked to this conjunction, you are able to effectively communicate your ideas clearly to others.  If Neptune is involved in the equation, you may not be as clearly definable as you would be if it were not connected to Neptune. 

With this aspect, your mental alertness is on track and you express yourself quite well.  You also will have the ability to listen with clarity about what other people are expressing.  The communication channels are open and dialogue is concise and clear.  All forms of communication are enhanced during the aspect.  

Mercury is also connected to learning and reading.  You may want to take up a specific study at this time. 

You may have to watch for over-analysing during this aspect.  Remind yourself that nothing is perfect in its nature and you may have to settle with something less than perfect or at least what you might consider perfect. 

Your analytical abilities are enhanced and although everything has to be in its proper place, you have the ability to rationalize situations and come up with viable conclusions during this 20 day period.

If Jupiter is somehow connected, higher learning during this aspect would be an area worth pursuing.  Even if Jupiter is square to your Mercury, you can still work through any obstacles and make decisions based on a broader view of the information at hand. 

Watch for becoming too nit-picky during this apsect and finding all the little flaws in anything life sends your way.  You can be too discriminating with this influence.

 

If Pluto is part of the picture, fact finding would be right up your alley and deciphering material to its bare components might be an avenue worth pursuing.  Pluto tends to dig to the core of issues and when involved in any form of study, investigative work would be favourable. 

If Mercury is connected positively to the Midheaven, this could be a time when you can express your ideas clearly and define what you can do to help out situations within the occupation. 

You should check which houses Mercury rules in your natal chart as well as the aspects coming from the chart for more detailed information.  It is important to understand that even if Mercury is aspected poorly in your natal chart, over time you should have taken action (as this is part of your life lesson) to alleviate these conditions as you learn to work with your Natal Mercury, its energies and all of its components.
