FULL MOON - FEBRUARY 27, 2021

We will be experiencing a Full Moon on February 27, 2021, at 3:19 a.m. EST in the sign of Virgo at almost 9 degrees.  On the same date transiting Saturn will be at 8 degrees in the sign of Aquarius making a quincunx to the Full Moon’s position and transiting Uranus is at 7 degrees Taurus making a trine to this placement.

 

A Full Moon is suggestive of a culmination point or the time to reap the harvest of what was begun approximately 6 months ago when we had a New Moon in the same sign. 

 

Virgo’s energies are about definition, accuracy and working towards an objective.  This objective will be revealed by the house placement of this Full Moon in your natal chart.  The house speaks in terms of the area of life involved.

 

Virgo is about hard work and disciplined efforts where no corners are cut, and we apply ourselves to the project at hand.  Sometimes this speaks of service on some level and/or organizing matters.  Everything must be in its proper place before we feel satisfied and we seek perfection although it may never be obtainable.  We see all the little flaws along the way and can be a little too narrow minded wanting everything to be exactly as we had planned.

 

These energies can be in personal terms or with relationships of significance if the first or seventh houses are involved.  It can be about finances or shared resources and stability if the second or eight houses are part of the picture.  It can be about studies and education and possibly travel if the third house or the ninth are involved or about home and family and goals and your career if the fourth or tenth houses are affected.  Finally, if the fifth house or the eleventh houses are involved then this may be about your children, romance or friendships and group involvement.  This of course is a short list of what the houses imply.

 

The quincunx to Saturn suggests that some adjustment is necessary, and this may pertain to the work you have been striving to make perfect.  This can be challenging as last-minute details are not what Virgo likes to become involved with.  A continuation on some level is often implied. 

 

The trine to Uranus suggests that the potential for this turning out favorably is higher than normal and although change can be difficult, a new path is often ahead.  Expect unexpected events to unfold that point the way forward.  Easier flow is indicated and the potential for opportunities are also favorable.

A NEW DAWN

 For many it has been a slow moving, worrisome and anxious period over the past year or so.  We have been caught up in the pandemic, concerned for our fellow humans, the political arena has been volatile, job security has been less than ideal, children have been at home and the list goes on.  We have all had our share of challenging moments. 

 

There is a shift taking place and many are beginning to see hints of relief at least just around the corner.  We just need to hang on a little longer. 

 

We have experienced series of ups and downs on personal levels and have pushed our way though up to this point.  Some have had upsetting experiences to say the least and others have had their eyes opened to a harsh reality.  Yes; it has been a time that will not be easily forgotten. 

 

So, as we move towards this new horizon where will we place our focus? 

 

What will our objectives become and how will we maneuver our way forward? 

 

Let go of the past and focus on what we can do to motivate ourselves in a direction that is more suitable, more lit, more peaceful, etc.  Be open to the new as it arrives.  Create a perspective of appreciation and gratitude.  We all move together but everything for you begins with you.

 

What lies ahead is yet to be determined.  What is important is this moment, right now!  Rise above the worry and stress.  Your tomorrow hinges on what you manifest today, so focus on the now!

CURRENTLY NO PLANETS IN RETROGRADE

Currently, the last planet to go direct was Mercury on February 21, 2021.  From February 21 to May 23 there will be no planets that are in their retrograde cycle.  On the 23^rd of May, 2021, Saturn will go retrograde and then on May 29, Mercury will go retrograde once again, Jupiter and Neptune go retrograde in June. 

 

While planets are in retrograde their energies are not allowed full expression.  Saturn, however, while in retrograde, is considered more favorable than while in its direct motion.  Individuals who have all their planets in the natal chart in direct motion are allowed full expression of all the energies.  This is very positive.  Saturn, however, will make you work for your results. 

 

Having all the planets in direct motion in a natal chart is not a common experience, nor is it to have a lot of planets in retrograde.  In the birth chart, it is normal to have an estimated 2 to 3 planets in retrograde.  This also holds true for planets while in their transiting cycle.

 

The positive energies flow freely when in direct motion and this is often a good time to move forward with any plans that you have contemplate pursuing. 

 

Mercury while in retrograde suggests holding back on moving forward and is considered a time for planning and setting the stage for further development.  When it goes direct this is the time to venture forward.  

 

Venus in direct motion suggests opportunities in love and romance and being able to express yourself in a favorable manner. 

 

Mars suggests that energy, activity and the desire to push ahead is exemplified. 

 

Jupiter brings good luck and good fortune and offers expansion and growth. 

 

Saturn, however, while in direct motion suggests that hard work and a disciplined effort is required and it may take longer than what you would like to get things moving. 

 

Uranus has to do with change and advancement in technologies or humanitarian concerns.

 

Neptune can indicate psychic potential or the desire to move forward in some form of artistic venture. 

 

Pluto speaks of transformation, a new beginning and power attachments, although likely in a favorable manner.

 

It will be important to have a look at your personal natal chart to see how these planets are forming aspects within the chart and whether they can be overly advantageous or if you should move ahead with caution.  The natal chart always tells the story. 

 

It is important to use the energies of planets appropriately and in many cases, this current period will be a beneficial time to push ahead in your pursuits.

NORTH NODE IN CAPRICORN

With the North Node in the Cardinal, Earth sign of Capricorn, your South Node will be in the Cardinal, Water sign of Cancer.  Take into consideration the placement by house position when defining what this Node will imply to the path which is to be followed.  The house position deals with the area of life which will point you towards what the North Node implies.

With the North Node in Capricorn, NN Capricorn’s destiny is to maneuver their way towards the top of the mountain (of life) by climbing up slowly and with precision.  The astrological North Node symbol is the goat, and the goat is surefooted.  It moves with care and exactness and knows which way is best to move ahead.  NN Capricorn objective at least in part is to make their way up the ladder of success.  This may speak to their occupation and career, or it may suggest that they move forward with objectives that they deem significant.  This is a goal-oriented sign with ties to business and leadership.

NORTH NODE IN SAGITTARIUS

 Today we are continuing our focus on the North Node and will look specifically at North Node in Sagittarius.  Please read our introduction contained in our post on November 30, 2020, www.holmastrology.com/apps/blog/show/49548847-north-node-in-aries to get an understanding of the overall influence of the North and South Nodes.  It will assist you in understanding the information we are about to provide for the North Node in Sagittarius. 

 

Those with their North Node in Sagittarius also have their South Node in Gemini.  The Nodes are always 180 degrees apart, exactly.  So, if the North Node in Sagittarius is in the fifth house, the South Node in Gemini would be in the eleventh house.  A square aspect to one of the Nodes will automatically square the other.  Trines to one of the Nodes will automatically sextile the other.  Oppositions will conjunct the other Node and so forth.

 

The sign placement and house position define where we are meant to go (North Node) and what we have brought with us to assist in this life’s journey (South Node). Some Astrologers feel that the house placement is more relevant than the sign and others feel that they deserve similar importance and that both are quite significant in their own way. The house position is the area of life where we play out the energies of the sign position and the sign position of the North Node is the expression we are meant to pursue.

 

If the North Node is in Sagittarius which is a Mutable, Fire sign ruled by Jupiter, the path ahead deals with delving into religious and philosophical ideologies.  Spirituality and the mystical realms may also be important, and Sag NN path may include these as well.  These individuals are also here to generate optimism in life not only for themselves but also for others.  If there are any negative inclinations in the personality they are here to rid themselves of these and find ways to promote energy that facilitates positive potential.  Unless the Nodes are overly challenged in the birth chart or through challenging transits or progressions, Jupiter will likely open the door for positivity to enter life as Sag NN maneuver through any adversities.

 

Sometimes the North Node due to its energies being new is not an easy route to follow and it is easy to slip back into the comfortable regions of the South Node.  However, the South Node, connected to a past life and in some cases the early expression of life in this incarnation, is not the path that anyone is here to pursue.  Life will direct us in the path of the North Node as time passes and we can use some of the lessons acquired from our previous existence primarily learned through education and life experience to push us forward.

 

Sag NN may find that life seems to propel them forward in such a way that you are somewhat of a drifter with Sagittarius as your North Node.  In some cases, Sag NN need travel or continued education whether that be through an actual journey across the seas or through continued education through school or life’s experience.  This is particularly true if the North Node is found in the ninth house.  These individuals are here to learn about the philosophy of life and by experiencing life in its full expression.

 

Good luck often follows those that have this NN positioning, as Jupiter, known as the greater benefactor, provides opportunities for expansion, growth and good luck in many of these peoples’ lives.  It will be important to share their good fortune with others and help them maneuver their way through struggles that life sometimes presents us with.  This is not to say that Sag NN’s  life will be filled with fortunate conditions as no life goes without some struggle, but the optimistic perspective can go a long way to finding contentment.  Much in life when viewed from the proper perspective can lift us out of difficulties, simply by changing our point of view.  This truth is available to all of us, but in some cases those with Sagittarius strong in their chart have this due to life’s experience and their view of life’s situations.

HAVING A VISION

What lies ahead?

 

Do we want to stay right where we are or move forward?

 

Are we comfortable in our present living conditions or are we complacent?

 

Are we accepting or lazy?

 

Personally, I want to grow and expand my living experience.  I am quite happy with life but do not want to squander this opportunity. 

 

Living in the here and now is quite stress free but being in the moment does not mean that we have to stay in the same place. 

 

We always have choices and sometimes those choices can be to push ourselves a little.

 

Life does unfold as it should and we really don’t have to do anything but we can also push ourselves to advance a little faster and take even more in. 

 

How we experience life is in our hands, even when we feel as though we are being swept away by life events.  We have the eternal option to channel our thoughts and expectations into a direction that can help us achieve where we need to go.

 

It is healthy to have a plan but live now.  Without goals what is the point of pushing.  It is okay to strive for something and reach out beyond what is in front of us.  Having a vision opens doors that might otherwise remain closed.  Push a little and see what happens.

SUN IN PISCES FEBRUARY 18, 2021

 The Sun moves from the Fixed, Air sign of Aquarius into the Mutable, Water sign of Pisces on February 18, 2021. 

 

Pisces is a mutable sign suggesting that Piscean individuals tend to go along with the flow rather than swim upstream against the current.  Some Pisceans can be easily led.  Most Pisces individuals do not like to make waves and will adapt to others in order to keep things moving along smoothly without obstruction. 

 

Pisces are very sensitive and “feel” more than most other signs due to the influx of vibrational energies from their environment.  Some tend to pick up this energy flow from others and take it on as though it were their own; some without realizing this. 

 

Pisceans are considered quite intuitive and some are known to be psychic.

 

Any type of abrasive behavior from others does not sit well with the Piscean’s sensitive inner core.  They are gentle, mostly peaceful, unless there are other mitigating factors in the Natal Chart.  The rising sign may give them an appearance that is quite different from what they feel internally.  Pisces are mostly internal navigators and can be very passive unless they have a fire rising sign, such as Aries or Leo.

 

Pisces individuals tend to withdraw within themselves when aggressive or invasive energies come into their space.  Some have such a difficult time facing cold hard facts that they resort to avoidance through drug abuse or alcohol addiction.  This is not to say that all Pisces share these tendencies, but many do.  You always have to look deep into a chart to find what other elements might persist that can influence factors of the Pisces Sun signs.

 

Pisces can be artistic or musical and some have talents that no one else knows about.  This is as a result of a normally smaller ego in their inner personality.  Do not forget the Sun sign is who we are on an internal level although much still comes to the surface. 

 

Some Pisceans have mystical abilities and can reach far below the surface of life and find the deeper realms of their psyche.  Many have prophetic dreams and search for the oneness of all of life.  Their compassionate nature is often second to none, although some look for support at every corner and view themselves as victims of life.

 

Those with their Sun in Pisces at around 20 degrees (allowing 3-5 degrees before this degree and 3-5 degrees past this degree) will be experiencing transiting Neptune’s conjunction with their Sun.  If the Sun is well aspected natally, many of these individuals will have the potential of opening up further to the mystical side of life in 2021. 

 

Those individuals that have their Natal Sun in challenging aspect to placements in the birth chart and in particular their Sun, may find that they experience periods of confusion about themselves and a vague sense of where life is taking them with this aspect.  Much, of course, will depend on the rest of the chart and the transits and progressions that will play a part in the overall experience in the upcoming year.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?

Our ideologies and attitude can certainly hold us back.  Our current emotional conditions are linked to concepts that we have taken on as our own.  Our concepts are based on ideas, of what we have been told and things that we have experienced in the past but these concepts and ideas have been put in place personally.  Our emotions reactions and attitude are based on our opinions.

 

Our current circumstances are directly affected by what we believe is attainable, what we believe we are able to receive, our personal view of ourselves, what we expect to take place or not take place and the list goes on.  We categorize what we believe we can become and what life has in store, based on standards we set for ourselves.  More often than not, we do not realize that we are putting limits on our progress and on what is available for us in this specific time in space through out attitude and beliefs.

 

These conditions change as we set new standards regarding the beliefs we accept and set in motion through the ongoing search for self.  We can become lost in this search because we believe what could be is something that we are not.  We have much available to us but due to our beliefs, we cannot see what is available and simply keep on with the search.  If we were to stop for a moment and ease up on this relentless pursuit, we would come to the realization that what we are in search of is already part of who we are.

 

Everything important we want for ourselves is attainable.  The only thing holding us back is our belief structure and the programming that we have been conditioned to.  It is all about our belief’s structure and willingness to go beyond the confines of what we consider acceptable for this time in our life.  Each day brings something new for us to ponder, and we take on what we wish to make our own, forever lost in the search not realizing that the search itself is what is stopping us from recognizing what and who we actually are. 

 

Reality is part of our belief structure, and if we can hold on to this truth, we can facilitate change in accordance to what we want our life to encompass.  Taking control or at least understanding the control we have and taking ownership begins a spiral of effects that is more in line with where we want to be in our life.  It is all a matter of focus and determining what direction we want to follow.

 

The seeing and living in the moment is the goal and what will follow is determined by that moment and the attitude we use during it. 

 

Patterns of thinking are always based on previous conditions and our expectations.  In reaching the now, (the moment) or actually finding it, we let go of any thoughts pertaining to the future or the past.  Living in this very moment is all that matters.  There is nothing more.  Nothing else matters. Experience this moment.  Be the spectator.

The Yod or Finger of God in Astrology Part II

Continuing with our focus on the Yod, the focal point or planet that receives both inconjuncts is activated through transit especially when stimulated by conjunction or opposition.  When this configuration is stimulated by transit, the transformation will take place.  This transformation often presents the individual with a new way of thinking about matters related to the house where the focal planet is located.  Feelings are activated due to this new way of relating to this area of life (described by the house placement of the focal planet).

 

The individual will undergo turning points in their life and often confront predicaments or difficult and challenging conditions which are resolved through this change in awareness and perception.  These life changing experiences often produce a new life’s path or destiny, as it somehow seems fated in its nature.

 

When these energies are used appropriately, it can lead to spiritual awareness and an understanding of the workings of the universe.  This may happen very quickly or take longer to absorb depending on the planet making the aspect to this configuration and its energies.  Uranus would alter things considerably and the alteration would happen rather quickly and unexpectedly, while Saturn would slowly unravel these events and it would take some time for the information to be comprehended. 

 

In most cases, it would take a certain amount of time for this information of what has taken place to be digested as this could be an extreme manifestation that has taken hold.

 

There is often a feeling of newly found insights and a flowing of the energy in new directions which increases awareness.  The individual with this configuration would be more centred on their mission in life than previously.  Often the events leading up to this transformation are very challenging but usually necessary.  If by chance the Natal chart has three or more quintiles linked to this or even if they are not linked, the individual often experiences a surge in the creative forces that may have been lying dormant and waiting to unravel.  

 

Creativity is often a by-product of a transit making contact to this configuration and is often linked to the house of the focal planet and area of life it represents.
