NEW MOON JANUARY 2, 2022

 We will experience a Capricorn New Moon at 12 degrees on January 2, 2022 at 1:33 p.m. EST.

 

New Moons speak of new beginnings and initiate something new that is related to the sign and house position of the New Moon in your natal chart. If you have a Conjunction, Opposition or Square to this placement by other planets or angles in your birth chart, this New Moon will have special relevance to you.

 

With a Capricorn New Moon quite often this new start has to do with goals and ambitious ideas in the area of life suggested by its house position. For further indications check other planets and their energies as well as their house placement and aspects to this position.

 

Start anything that potentially has long lasting effects and in areas of life that you will be willing to work towards diligently. Capricorn has to do with a steady approach often involving something related to business and enterprise. Some may decide to make a change to their occupation that will affect their future. The Semi-Sextile from Saturn although considered a minor aspect suggests being in the right place at the right time. This is also considered favourable and because of the link to Capricorn (Saturn rules Capricorn) what moves forward over the next six months or so (especially strong in the upcoming month) brings solidifying aspects to whatever is being formatted or presented.

THE SOUTH NODE IN ASTROLOGY

The South Node in astrology focuses on past lives and what we brought forward into this life. This knowledge can be used in coordination with our North Node’s energy. The S. Node also speaks of Karmic issues that were not resolved or still affect us.

 

The S. Node by sign and house placement, ruling planet and any planets conjunct to its position speak of who we were, our past life character and how we defined ourselves.

HOPE AND CHARITY

There are many living in this world under horrific conditions.

 

Many of us usually find ways to cope with our hardships. Some seek refuge from outside sources, while others find their way through making the best of what little they have.

 

Most of us cannot begin to image living under the appalling conditions some endure. Imagine for a moment living with an addiction. Imagine living a life so wrapped up in these addictions that you beg on the streets because your additions have taken away your ability to hold a job. Imagine alone and feeling as though no one cares whether you live or die.

 

According to addicitioncenter.com in 2017, the National Coalition for the Homeless had found that 38% of homeless people are alcohol dependent, and 26% are dependent on other harmful chemicals. These stats show that most homeless people do not suffer addiction issues. Imagine, through no fault of your own, being unable to afford your next meal. Imagine losing your job, falling through the safety nets and losing your home.

 

The next time you see someone homeless, approach them without judgement. Offer them a few kind words. Offer them your lunch or take them to a restaurant and buy them a meal. What about offering a blanket or coat?

 

Take a moment to reflect on what their situation is actually like then take a moment to reflect on how good your life truly is.

 

Giving without judgement can be a challenge for some of us. Some of us through our judgements walk away and loose the opportunity to help those most in need. Is it possible next time that instead of walking away, we offer something even if that something is only a smile or a kind word? This small gesture may be immeasurable. We do not know these individuals’ journeys. Our kindness might make a miserable day a little brighter. Your donation likely will be used for food, clothing or lodging.

SUN IN CAPRICORN DECEMBER 21, 2021

 Those born in the sign of Capricorn are known to be serious minded individuals, who are somewhat reserved, conscientious, and reliable. They are great managers and do well in the world of business. They are often leaders in their own field. They commitment to success and work relentlessly towards their goal of achievement and advancement. In many cases they will work towards the goals often linked to earthly matters, regardless of how long it takes to advance.

 

They respect authority who have proved themselves and worked their way up the corporate ladder. Capricornians are leaders, not followers, but will listen to advice and then make their own decisions on how to proceed. They are not risk takers and understand the meaning of hard work and disciplined effort and know that it all takes time. They are the builders of the zodiac.

 

It should be noted that much of what this post relates to will be accented by the influence of the sign Capricorn in the natal chart along with placements of other planets in the tenth house. A weak Capricorn or strong influences in other areas of the chart can dilute the Capricorn energies.

 

Some Capricornians have issues with negativity. This is a result of the ruling planet, Saturn, which often makes things more difficult and does not believe in short cuts. Worry and anxiety can result when life is not moving along as wished, and these feelings will be bottled up so no one else can see them. They appear quite in control of life’s situations even when they are not. Yule – WINTER SOLSTICE

The Winter Solstice (Hibernal Solstice) takes place on December 21, 2021 @ 10:58 a.m. in the northern hemisphere. December 21 will have the least amount of daylight as the sun will be at its lowest arc in the sky for our area.

 

Our daylight will start to increase, and our precious sunlight will return.

 

As nature sleeps and the light is low, we can use the long nights to reflect on our journey. Go inward and plan your intentions for when the energy and the light returns. Mother nature always knows best. Follow her example. Look at nature. Many species are hibernating or slowing down, resting and waiting for the return of light, for the return of warmth, the return of the energy that nurtures us mentally, physically and spiritually.

 

Our current lesson is certainly patience. Utilize this time to look deep into the shadows of self. Bring light to the darkest corners of life. Fill each corner with love and allow spirit to grow.

 

Is it coincidence that during Yule season (the rebirth of light), many celebrate the birth of Christ for example (the rebirth of salvation)? This is a time of celebration for many, whether it is Yule, Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, etc.

THE ILLUSION

You might ask yourself, “What doors am I unable to open?”

 

“What events will I be a part of during this journey?”

 

“Will I be able to perform my duties and fulfill my calling?”

 

These are questions of self doubt or of someone unwilling to let go and let life.

 

No door will remain locked if we are willing to use the key. Often, we are the key to these symbolic locked doors.

 

The answers we look for are not found on the other side of life’s veil. The answers we need are wrapped in each moment of living. Realization is not far-out ideas or imagined concepts that will suddenly show themselves. If we are open to all possibilities, the answers are at our fingertips. We do not have to go searching.

 

Truth is simple and available to us each day. It is not dormant, and it does not need to be discovered. It is already part of each of us, yet many struggle and push it deep down within. Some look so deep, they look beyond truth. It is part of simple everyday awareness, and it lives forever in the eternal moment.

 

Accept life in its simplest form. Do not complicate the equation. Enjoy life and see the glorious whole you are part of now. Have no expectations.

 

The illusion has us looking for something so peculiar that we feel it is too difficult to find. The simple truth is that we are already living our perfect life. We are looking so hard for something other than what we have that we take away from the riches we have. We have been illuded to think that the perfect life is something that is always out of our reach. As long as we keep searching for more, the perfection we already have will never be enjoyed.

FULL MOON DECEMBER 18, 2021

On December 18, 2021, @ 11:35 p.m. EST we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Gemini at approximately 27 degrees.

 

All Full Moons occur when the Sun and Moon are in direct opposition to one another.

 

A Full Moon is a conclusion of something that had its roots set 6 months ago when the New Moon was in the same sign. The New Moon marks the beginning or start of the process and the Full Moon marks the culmination of the efforts that you have put forth over this period. You can harvest your efforts, make alterations to the plans or let go of the goal. The rewards or forward movement is defined by the efforts you put into this.

 

The sign and house position in the natal chart speak of avenues of expression (sign position) and area of life (house position).  With a Gemini Full Moon there is often a duality to what is unfolding. Sometimes there are two paths forward or two distinct directions to pursue.

 

Gemini is a mutable, air sign and the modality and element will have to be defined as well to provide you with further indicators of how these energies will pan out in your life. Gemini suggests that a degree of change and adaptability will be part of the profile. The element Air always suggests a degree of intellect and mental stimulus taking place especially when connected to Gemini or the third house (naturally ruled by Gemini).

 

If for example this placement of the Moon is in your second house, then the area of financial resources or stability may be part of what takes place. There could be a connection to the home or family or perhaps the occupation might be part of the picture if the fourth house or tenth house or perhaps the sixth house are part of the profile. If friends and groups are important and relevant to what is taking place then perhaps the eleventh house is connected and if there is a degree of concern with health matters the sixth or twelfth or the Sun and Ascendant might be involved. A thorough look to review all energies in the chart is necessary to get a clear understanding of what is enhanced at this time.

 

A conjunction or opposition or square from a natal position within two or three degrees must be in place for this Full Moon to have influence in your personal chart.

 

There is a trine from transiting Jupiter at 28 degrees in the sign of Aquarius currently bringing potential for positive experiences to unfold. Growth and opportunities may be in place if the rest of the chart agrees. Regardless of whether there are challenging links to this placement however we can always use the energies to help resolve issues later or learn valuable lessons due to the energies inherent in the chart at this time. NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN

Could we possibly reach a point when we feel we have learned all there is to know?

Our material-based learning ends at the moment we pass from this life. Perhaps when we are discarnate, our education takes a new route.

 

Enough speculation! Until that day arrives, no matter how full our reservoir of knowledge feels, and our experience extends, we should never close ourselves off to gaining further knowledge.

 

The true lessons in life do not come from textbooks. The most valuable lessons come from experience. Many of our lessons may not be very passive, as those individuals that are on the road to self-discovery understand quite well. However, some tough lessons bring us to the most precious realizations and provide us with our greatest understanding.

TRANSITING JUPITER CONJUNCT NATAL ASCENDANT

We are focusing on transiting Jupiter in aspect to the natal Ascendant.

 

If your Ascendant is in the late degrees of Aquarius or early degrees Pisces, Jupiter will currently be conjunct your Ascendant. T. Jupiter has been in the late degrees of Aquarius and early degree of Pisces since April, 2021 and remains in aspect until early 2022 when it moves further into the sign of Pisces.

 

In direct motion Jupiter moves about one degree every 4-5 day and it will not go retrograde until July, 2022.

 

Jupiter is what is referred to as the “feel good” planet and most anything it touches will have an atmosphere of good fortune and optimism attached to it. When Jupiter conjuncts the Ascendant, it often affects your relationships and brings you closer to those that matter. Even strangers seem to have a profound effect on you as you become more willing to expand your horizons and spread optimism into the world around you. When we speak of new people we meet, Jupiter will most likely be in the sign of Aquarius. These people may not be in your life long but will often have a personal affect on you nonetheless.

 

This transit is very positive for your health and promotes health consciousness. It may however bring about some weight gain as Jupiter tends to expand everything it touches. The Ascendant is closely linked to your body image, and you will have to watch for this potential. Jupiter helps us fight disease and infection and the body usually grows in strength and endurance especially if the Sun is connected to your Ascendant, particularly if through positive aspect.

 

In many ways, this is a particularly strong period of growth in the spiritual sense and often with religious overtones especially when connected to Pisces. Aquarius and Jupiter, being the ruler of Sagittarius can have similar effects. Life’s philosophy becomes more important, and you have a greater yearning for knowledge that exceeds the classroom.

 

Some experience travel at this time, meeting up with foreigners and learning about foreign cultures and traditions. The desire for travel is strong and if you are not able to physically travel, you will do so in your mind.

 

Meditation is a great technique to use as this transit becomes activated. You may discover new dimensions this way. Your view of life should expand during this transit. After this transit, you may view the world from a different perspective with clearer and more positive insights than you had before this period.

 

This transit along with any outer planet crossing over your Ascendant is indicative of a new beginning or new cycle of development and growth through education (especially when Jupiter is the connection) either through traditional learned channels or though experience in life. NORTH NODE CONJUNCT THE NATAL ASCENDANT

 If your North Node is either 2 degrees before the Ascendant (last two degrees in the 12^th house) or 3 degrees past the Ascendant, your North Node would be considered conjunct the Ascendant. Conjunctions have an energy which has up to a 10-degree orb of influence, so the North Node ten degrees prior to the Ascendant and ten degrees beyond the Ascendant would still be considered a conjunction. The further away from the Ascendant however the weaker the energy.

 

When we are defining the energies associated with this placement it will of course be important to determine the sign of the Ascendant and the North Node and whether the North Node is in the twelfth house or in the first house. In this post we will not go into these positions as it would take many pages to incorporate all the possibilities.

 

With the North Node conjunct the Ascendant your objective in this life has to be personal and in many cases available for others to see. However there would be a huge difference between Aries and Virgo for example on the Ascendant or Leo and Capricorn. One thing is certain, you are here to explore your own personal destiny and facilitate personal growth through these experiences. This life is about you and not in egotistic term. You can’t advance your personal cause until you know what it is that you need and what you need to do.

 

In many cases this is about personal achievement and determination and directed energy to unleash your drive and ambition to succeed in personal ventures. STEPPING OUT OF DARKNESS

When we have been struggling and our mental functions are overloaded, we can find solace through alignment with what our heart is telling us. The mind can run relentlessly over and over the same parallel thoughts and we can become bound by this repetitions. It can help if we get out of our heads and into our hearts to see ourselves through these times.

 

We spend countless hours reviewing and looking from every angle at what the mind is persistently telling us and this persistence sets the stage for more of the same. We become stuck in a thought and follow along blindly trying to make it go away. We give our mind control and we are prisoner without realizing we have choices.

 

Listen to that little, quiet voice reassuring you that things will get better. Our ego wants control and insists that the little voice is wrong and there is no way out.

 

Stepping out of darkness by recognizing our focus and redirecting our thoughts into another area often brings a turning point so that we can step beyond. Do not try to ignore what is transpiring or to stop thinking about it, this only gives it more attention. Shift your focus to something different or opposite of what you are fixated on.

 

If you are experiencing poor health, think in terms of being healthy and that this is already part of who you are. You need to rekindle the truth. If you have relationship issues, think of what is good about the other person and pay attention to the good in the relationship.  Working this way promotes more of the same and alters our focus.

 

We are not at the mercy of life! We must pay attention to how we think and focus. Our focus is a choice.  Where do you choose to look?

TRANSITING JUPITER CONJUNCT NATAL MARS

Transiting Jupiter often brings good luck, opportunities, and expansion. Jupiter opens doors and sometimes these doors deal with life’s philosophies, religious doctrines, and spiritual enlightenment.

 

The area of life is reflected by what house your natal Jupiter is found and what house Jupiter is transiting. When Jupiter is conjunct Mars, the likelihood of them being in the same house and sign is great although they can be in different signs and houses since you can use as wide as a ten-degree orb of influence.

 Do not fear the unknown path. Explore all that is available. Take a few out-of-the-way excursions while on route to expand your experience. Sometimes we must break a new trail to grow, for our earthly education is not always found on the path most travelled.

 

You may be faced with a dangerous path and the route is so rough that it guarantees you will lose your footing. If you investigate, you may find that there is a parallel path which is much safer but still leads to the same destination. TRANSITING NEPTUNE CONJUNCT NATAL MARS

Mars and Neptune’s energies do not blend well.

 

Neptune’ energies are soft and gentle. Neptune strives to slow down aggression and impulse and pushes you to connect with something higher. Neptune discourages any ego impulse. It seeks purity and focuses its energies into directions that assist others. Mars’ energies can be aggressive, dynamic, and even a bit impulsive. Mars is drive and ambition and is self-directed and often involves the ego.

 

Since Neptune can put a vail of uncertainty over anything it touches, you will have to watch for being mislead or misdirected. Neptune can be deceitful. What you see may not be what is.

 

Mars wants to direct energy in some cases into self-serving areas. If you manage to persuade Mars to channel its energies into constructive, mystical pursuits or spiritual insight, its energies will blend more appropriately with Neptune’s influence, although this may be a challenge.

 

Neptune will not push. It acts in a peaceful manner and knows that enlightenment is not something that can be pushed into existence. Its energies flow when the time is right. We cannot push hard to achieve mystical understanding, although we can direct our energy in the appropriate direction. Spirituality and mysticism are a way of life and must be lived not forced. There can be no ego connection in our spiritual unfolding. Be sure to take care of yourself during this transit as there is potential for the weakening of the body and its function. Moderate exercise programs are suggested and eating a proper diet is equally as important.

We should also watch for poisoning the body by mixing drugs and using them in inappropriate manners. Substance abuse is a real danger during this aspect.

NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE DECEMBER 4, 2021

We will be experiencing a New Moon Solar Eclipse on December 4, 2021, beginning at 2:43 a.m. EST.  This Eclipse is at 12 degrees in the sign of Sagittarius.

 

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of good luck and fortunate potential.

 

New Moon’s energy has to do with new beginnings and this Eclipse strengthens this and brings hope and often hidden potential.
