TRANSITING SATURN SEXTILE NATAL VENUS

T Saturn is currently (May 2023) in the sign of Pisces and remains there until February 15, 2026 when it moves into Aries. During its Piscean stay everyone with their N Venus in the signs Taurus or Capricorn will be experiencing a sextile from T Saturn to their N Venus. The time frame will depend on the degree of Venus in the birth chart.

 

T Saturn suggests that the time is ripe for learning and for lessons being taught through obstacles to overcome. Something often stands in the way of progress, and we must move through the challenge that Saturn presents. These are valuable lessons as Saturn is the disciplinarian and teaches us through perseverance and life experiences.

 

Saturn will, however, offer rewards for hard work and if we do not let things slide and work through its lessons, it provides a much richer foundation built to stand the test of time. It teaches us restraint, organization, discipline and patience.

 

Venus is often about love and affection and can also deal with our finances and our need to be social. Venus also has to do with young woman or women in general (Mars has to do with young men). Venus and Saturn often do not work well together and during hard transits it can suggest the breaking of relationships and hard lessons being taught. Sextiles are not considered hard aspects however. They are aspects of harmony and life moving along in a favourable manner. They suggest that an opportunity is at hand.

 

Saturn can solidify a relationship that has had its ups and downs and may promote it to move to the next level. Opportunities are at hand for favourable outcomes when love and affection are part of the life experience. This does not necessarily mean that life will flow smoothly as Saturn always suggests hard work and disciplined effort. LIFE IS COMPLICATED

Life is a complex series of events and experiences. We move through life and learn from each event. In many cases we must sift through our mind to understand some of these events. The people involved can take us to places we don’t want to go or in contrast show us places we never imagined possible. Life is complicated at times especially when there are hard lessons to learn. We are here to experience, however, and life is the teacher.

 

Regardless of how life unfolds, it is imperative to wrap our arms around it and know that no matter what comes our way we will grow from these experiences. If it was easy all the time, we would stagnate.

 

Some believe that are being here is a choice. Some believe that we picked this life and our life’s circumstances. This can be hard to grasp especially when we go through trauma and stressful experiences.

 

When we recognize that we must take responsibility for, at the bare minimum, our response to life, life can change. This does not mean that when someone harms us we take responsibility for their actions. What it does mean is that on some level it will assist us to grow and hopefully at some point let go and move on.

SUN IN GEMINI TRANSITS

The Sun moved into Gemini (Mutable, Air, sign) on May 21, 2023.

Pluto is currently in Aquarius an Air sign although only for a short period of time when it moves back into Capricorn mid-June. Pluto will be making a trine to anyone with an early Sun sign in Gemini of perhaps up to 3°. Pluto is about transformation and change and can be subtle at first but over time (may take up to two years before the change is complete) Pluto will insist on something being let go so that the new can take its place. There are no halfway measures about Pluto and whatever it touches goes through dynamic change and a rebirth on some level. Much will depend on the houses involved in the chart as these determine the areas of life involved.

 

T Neptune is still in Pisces and will remain in this sign until 2025. Those with their Sun in the later degrees of Gemini will be experiencing the square between the Sun and T Neptune. The square suggests challenges and may blur reality. If this is a relationship, are you seeing it clearly?

SUN IN GEMINI

The Sun moved from Taurus (Fixed, Earth sign) into Gemini (Mutable, Air, sign) on May 21, 2023. Gemini as mentioned is a Mutable, Air sign suggesting that this is a thinking, conversationalist energy. Geminians enjoys learning and are quite adapt with these qualities. What is your response when someone speaks aggressively towards you?

 

Do you react or respond?

 

We all respond differently to aggression, both physically and emotionally.

 

Standing up and fighting for your rights is important but this should not come from a reactive state but a thought-out proactive state. Under no circumstance is a physical reaction acceptable.

 

We cannot do anything about someone else’s intension or action, but we can control our response. In any situation ask yourself if a stance is worth pursuing. Someone else’s actions should not be allowed to freely live in your mind or affect your emotions. The choice is yours. Remember, vengeance and violence are not a solution. Walking away is a sign of strength in many cases.

 

What happened in the past should stay in the past. What you do in the moment is a choice – react or respond.

 

Live in the moment.

 

Reaction can rise quickly but with practice and thoughtfulness, it can be controlled.

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT NATAL DC

A conjunction with the natal DC will always include an opposition to the Ascendant. Conjunctions have to do with intensity and the merging of energies, while oppositions have to do with the influence of others and how it may affect us.

 

As transiting Saturn moves across your DC (conjuncts the DC) Saturn often suggests challenging conditions linked to a relationship of significance, often the marriage partner, a business associate or someone you may be in business with.

 

Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, often has to do with business or can be linked to achievement tied to your occupation, but while in conjunction with your DC there is often a strain on the partnership. This can feel like a testing period or a time when you may feel depressed because of the strain on the relationship. It can cause worry about what the future looks like because of the issues you are now experiencing.  It often requires effort to overcome the adversity that Saturn often suggests. Much will depend on other influences affecting life.

 

Saturn in Aquarius may have something to do with personal freedom and the desire to walk your own road. While Saturn in Pisces may have something to do with seeing the relationship in its true colors and knowing that something must be done. The 7th house often describes your partner or the type of individual that you might be attracted to.

 

Because of the conjunction to your DC, Saturn is also in opposition to your ASC suggesting that this can be very personal or affect you in personal ways. Others may know what is going on and in some cases the opposition suggests that it is other people causing the challenge. You may have to make personal changes or adapt to the situation but most likely it will not be easy.

 

If Saturn is well aspected this could speak of a relationship moving into a more solid, structured, and reliable situation. Perhaps the relationship moves to another level, which provides you with a solid foundation. Perhaps you have been single for a long time (Saturn in the 7th often suggests this or it can suggest a relationship with a mature or older individual) and now the relationship looks like it is ready to take the next step.

CONSISTENCY

Consistency is required when achieve something of significance in life. We must give our full effort and remain constant to move anything of substance forward. The beginning is always the hardest, as our primary actions creates what lies ahead and how our goal will develop.

 

Maintaining our push ahead or drive to achieve will often have obstacles which at times can hold us back. Sometimes the force against us seems momentous. We can feel that our efforts are fruitless. These are the times when we need to be resilient and consistent regardless of what stands in the way. Match resistance with determination.

 

We gain strength, endurance and patience during these times of apparent setbacks. We become stronger and realize that we have what it takes to move ahead. Ask yourself if this drive and push to achieve has merit. Do what is just and what is required (for you and for others).

 

Consistency builds momentum and advances us. Without consistency and a willingness to push through challenges, we may not succeed. Sometimes we need to push ourselves beyond our comfort zone.

 

On a side note, “How will our actions affect others?” is an important question. Is our approach based on revenge or are we doing what we feel needs to be done because it is just? Justice at times is not what it appears, and self-righteousness should not get in the way of what should be done.  Do nothing through hate.

TRANSITING JUPITER TRINE NATAL SATURN

The trine aspect usually indicates easy flow, opportunities, good fortune, and promising conditions. This is what we wait for in life. When Jupiter is part of the profile, the chances for gaining momentum and favourable conditions are heightened. Growth is a big part of what transpires.

 

Transiting Jupiter moves into Taurus on May 16. Jupiter goes into a retrograde cycle on September 4, 2023 at 15° Taurus and remains retrograde until December 31, 2023. It returns direct at 5°Taurus, so those individuals with their natal Saturn in the earth signs (Capricorn and Virgo) and up to and including about 17° will be experiencing this trine to their natal Saturn. If your natal Saturn is in these degrees, T Jupiter will move across the 5° to 15° once again into the new year making the same trine again.

 

Saturn, however, does not have the same energies as Jupiter and, in many ways, its energies operate in complete opposite. Saturn has to do with restriction, delays, challenges, and hard work. Although Jupiter promotes growth and expansion and the trine offers easy flow and opportunities, you will likely have to work hard to achieve whatever you plan to set out to do. However, Saturn does promote is stability and structure after the initial groundwork has been done.

 

If your natal Saturn is in retrograde then these opportunities and growth potentials are easier to maneuver through. A retrograde Saturn can also indicate a missing father influence in some cases. If Saturn applies to this or an individual with a position of authority (manager within your career or the police working within the framework of what this aspect is implying) moving forward with restraint is advised. In other words, do not move forward unprepared or without the necessary information.

 

Saturn holds back while Jupiter wants to progress so there might be some push and pull when these two energies meet. It should be noted that if you prepare and do not miss any steps working towards a viable solution, the potential is there. You can make this happen if you are prepared to wait a little to see what takes hold and you are building a solid foundation in the process.

 

Discipline and hard work are part of the process and the houses where N Saturn and T Jupiter are in will provide information as to what areas of life are involved. The natal positioning of Saturn adds to the story. If for example Saturn is well positioned then the energies work in a more smooth manner. If Saturn is challenged, more work and perhaps more duties are implied. More challenges are at hand with a difficult Saturn in the natal chart. The natal chart always tells the story.

YESTERDAY IS GONE

We hear it regularly to “be here now in the moment”. This practice brings into focus what is significant in our lives in the present moment.

 

On some level time seems to slow down when we are focused on the here and now. Stop for a moment and watch the clock as it rounds the one-minute cycle. Did that moment pass quickly?

 

Of course, we are not here to sit and watch the hands of time. We have things to do as life is full of experiences. Yesterday, however, is gone. Although it held lessons it is no longer where we need to focus our attention. Lingering in “what was” serves no purpose, especially with grief and despair. Process the experience, learn the lessons but do not live in them. We are meant to experience life as it is in the moment and then follow through into the next moment as it arrives. Holding on to negativity or “how things used to be” robs us of the experience of now and holds us prisoner to what was.

 

Our focus brings forth what we are aligning with, so focus or concentration is relevant. We are the creators of our life, and our focus opens or closes doors for what’s to come.

 

Dwelling on bad experiences magnifies the experience. It only allows us to focus on negativity. Although we learn from our challenges we are not meant to take up residence there. We are visitors of each experience and by accepting and then letting go we open the door for something of greater substance to enter. Living in the moment does not include past experiences or anticipation of future experiences. The moment only holds with it the ever-present now.

 

Life is offering gifts to us now. The experiences of the present moment will help create our future but once gone must be left in the moment past. Nothing disappears but wishing for the past or worrying about the future does nothing to enhance the current experience. It does squander the moment however.

 

Let’s move out of yesterday and into now.

TRANSITING URANUS TRINE NATAL JUPITER

When this post is written (May 2023) T Uranus is in Taurus (earth sign), therefore this post applies to those with their natal Jupiter in an earth sign (Virgo, Capricorn). We will not go into the degrees of the current positioning of T Uranus. Check your ephemeris and chart to see when the degrees match for you. The house placements of T Uranus, natal Jupiter and N Uranus as well as the aspects they are receiving from other indicators in the chart will define in part how these energies translate into action for you.

 

T Uranus is about change and in some cases through revolution, life experience, and upheavals and often comes through in rather dramatic manners often sudden in nature or unexpected. It usually brings us to a place that is more suitable for our evolution and growth potential. Uranus is known as the awakener and can suggest times of sudden change or moving us out of complacency, often giving indicators along the way with little pushes to propel us into action.

 

Jupiter is about growth and expansion and often indicates potential windfalls or potential shifts that are often favourable, and, in many cases, good things are on the horizon or already taking place. Jupiter is associated with good luck, ease in obtaining benefits and potential. In most cases Jupiter which is considered the greater benefic brings things that we wait for in life although if the general theme has been challenging it can bring an end to these conditions. E.g. if someone has been very ill and there is little or no hope of recovery it can hasten the ending.

 

The trine aspect moves well with the energies of Jupiter as it promotes opportunities and life falls into place when in tight aspect (the closer to exact the stronger the influence). E.g. T Uranus at 17° Taurus and N Jupiter at 17° Virgo or Capricorn. Trines in transit are what we wait for. They bring us into situations which offer opportunities to advance on some level. Once again, the houses involved will define the areas of life.

 

In most cases this aspect will reveal itself in unexpected ways and promote advantages and opportunities for growth and good luck. Be sure you take advantage of these energies.

GUIDING OUR CHILDREN

Our children and the children of others can become important influences in our lives. Some begin child rearing at an early age, and our lives take on a new route, often a very unfamiliar one.

 

For those that believe in or are open to the concept of reincarnation, it is said that we choose our parents and our children, and they too choose us. Our life’s journey combines these special people, and we share this life’s experience to grow. It is an honor to come together with these people.

 

When our children are young, they rely on us for guidance, nurturing, etc. We do the best we can to provide them with what they need. Sometimes we fall short because of situations beyond our control, and we do make mistakes along the way. We are human and to err is part of the process. They are part of our lessons. We cannot hold on to what we did in the past, but we can certainly do what we need to do in the present without repeating old mistakes.

 

As these children begin maturing they still subconsciously rely on us but this can be difficult as they reach the stage that they feel they know what is best for themselves (often the teenage years). They become more and more consciously influenced by their peers but we still need to be an example for them.

 

Once they leave home, they are their own person but will always be our children. We still guide them but now they will walk the road that they feel best suits them. They listen even when it appears they are not. It is time to let go however and trust that the seeds you planted in the early years will continue to grow. It is time for them to walk their own road and make their own mistakes to learn.

 

If we picked this life, which many teachings suggest, then they also picked their own life. These children, as we did, will walk their own personal road. There is a spiritual plan in place for each of us. We will move in the direction we are supposed to even if it feels off at times. We will learn what we need to learn as life passes.

 

Enjoy your little ones. They grow quickly. Enjoy parenthood and watching these children mature into themselves. Be grateful that they are in your life, even when challenging conditions weigh heavy.

SATURN IN PISCES

Transiting Saturn entered the sign of Pisces March 7, moving into retrograde in June 2023, again in June of 2024 and completing its final retrograde cycle in Pisces towards the end of November 2024. It enters Aries in May 2025, goes retrograde in September 2025 and eventually stays in Aries by February 2026. Saturn while in retrograde works more favourably than while in its direct motion, so the retrograde cycles are important.

 

Saturn is all about structure and reliability and wants to focus its energy on things that are real and of substance. While moving through the sign of Pisces (opposite energies of Saturn), Saturn will want to look through the lens of clarity and definition. The mystical and intuitive qualities of Pisces will need to be weighed out and structured in such a way that only facts pass the iron tests of Saturn. There will be no wondering if something is real or imagined as life will go through a period of reflection, reality-focused and questioning if something is viable and concise.

 

Your spiritual connection may go through a period of testing and its validity will be confronted. You may question if it is practical and real. Your mystical and perhaps your religious beliefs may go through questioning and examination. After and often during the times of retrograde the potential for solidification and structuring takes place. Your ideologies connected with psychic matters may become more reliable and constructed so that there will be far less doubt on facts.

 

There may be some hurdles and a questioning, but you will walk away far more conviction after this period. The truth will be told if any of your planets and angles are part of this (in particular the conjunction).

A HELPING HAND

We all experience times when we could use a helping hand. In some cases, someone is right there to help when we need them. Other times it seems as though no one knows what to say or do. We are faced with uncertainty and experience anxiety.

 

There will certainly be times when professional help is ideal. With a professionals skills and training, they can show us how to do the work required to overcome these obstacles.

 

“Tough times” are perfect lessons to teach us to overcome and gain inner strength, personal resolve and the list goes on. It is our determination and digging deep that teaches us strength and self-worth to name a few. In most cases there is no easy way out and we must acknowledge that it will take some hard work and discipline on our part to overcome life’s challenges.

 

Sometimes we see friends, relatives or strangers for that matter that are going through difficult times and we can be their shoulder to lean on. As we conquer our own challenges we become stronger and learn. We, then, can help others because of our own personal experiences. We can share our knowledge from our experiences.

 

As we open to our own lessons, we grow. We then can move from student (on that subject) to teacher when we are asked for help which may be as simple as an ear to listen or a hug.

 

Life has many lessons to offer. Be open to what is being offered.

LUNAR ECLIPSE MAY 5, 2023

On May 5^, 2023 we will experience the effects of a Lunar Eclipse at 14° Scorpio. Transiting Uranus is in opposition to the Moon at 18° Taurus. If you have planets or significant angles within three degrees of this placement either by conjunction or opposition then this Eclipse will influence you. Much depends on the houses involved and other factors in the natal chart.

 

With Moon in Scorpio there can be very powerful effects on sexual indicators in your chart and what surfaces at this time will bring about change and development which is now required. This can be a romantic relationship that no longer suits your evolution or a relationship that now goes to the next level. You will have to be careful of manipulation either directed towards you or coming from you. This is a very alluring time and seductive energies can be strong.

 

Scorpio tends to bring things to the surface and with Uranus in opposition this can take place in a sudden or unexpected manner being somewhat out of your hands and often initiated by outside forces. The transformation that takes place can be profound but the forces which may seem beyond your control are aiding and pointing you in a new direction far more suitable at this time.

 

This can be a time of reflection and in many cases the Eclipses often indicate letting go and starting over. Let go of emotional baggage that no longer suits your evolution. Move either into a new situation or make changes so that “the new” finds its way to you. Part of the evolutionary plan is to promote healing where needed, instigate new avenues of expression and being in a place where the door is open for further growth, although the transformation and eventual change may not be an easy one.

 

The effect of this Eclipse is often strong during the first month and is often in effect for up to 3 to 4 months. Use this time wisely and do not fear what is unfolding. Sometimes we can’t see the trees for the forest and bringing what needs to surface out of hiding can in turn create a required change.

REASONING AND FOLLOW THROUGH

Fortunately for most of us our reasoning abilities are strong and reliable although we may have restraints and reservations whether to follow through on some issues. We make decisions in the present moment yet fortunately or unfortunately the past influences this process.

 

The mind can interfere creating fear and anxiety based on past experiences, on “what ifs” or on something that may not be logical. We can follow along blindly reacting to what the mind dictates or sift through information to make decisions. The final decision always lies in your hands. Be practical and realistic in our approach but go with your gut. Often we can stop ourselves short because of worries and halt advancement because we listen to the reactive chatter.

 

Sometimes other people’s input influences our decisions and again this can be detrimental or advantageous.

 

Stagnation is often what transpires because of fear or insecurity. We cannot let fear stand in the way unless protection from something specific and real is required.

 

Listen to the nonsensical chatter from your mind so that you can recognize it. As we become acquainted with our mind and its interaction, we become better at recognizing when what is being transferred is accurate or fear based. We can become masters of recognizing the mind’s interference.

 

Believe in yourselves. Trust your instinct and reasoning abilities. Do not allow fear or panic to breach your decision making. You’ve got this, trust!
