FULL MOON AUGUST 1, 2023

August 1, we will experience a Full Moon at 9° Aquarius. If you go back approx. 6 months this would be the commencement of what you are harvesting now. Those with a planet or important angle within 3° of this positioning either by conjunction or opposition will be affected by this Full Moon’s position.

 

Aquarius has to do with humanitarian interests, progressive ideas, independence and in many cases rebellion again things that need changing. New ideas may have come to the surface over this time, and you may now see what progression has taken place. Your reasoning abilities are usually on target, and you work with a genuine concern for others, with their best interests in mind.

 

The idea of progression is important, and you are pushing a change because perhaps you found a better way or the old way of doing things no longer suits the conditions in place now. You knew change had to come and now the question is what did you put in place to activate these required changes?

 

There is an insistence for change when it is necessary because things are stale and what you did over this 6-month period will now stand in front of you and be ready for implementation.

 

Logical solutions are in place, and you probably know what to do. Sometimes computers and electronics are part of the process. Sometimes astrology answers some of the questions, and most times your intuitive understanding helps. Much will depend on the houses involved as this will be the areas of life influenced.

 

T Jupiter makes a square to this Full Moon’s position. Squares usually indicate some struggle and hurtles to overcome, however the square from Jupiter (the planet of opportunity) is not always overly challenging. Jupiter can expand energies in place although growth and prospects are also quite likely.

 

Jupiter in Taurus may suggest that finances and security may be part of the issue. Perhaps there is a need for settling in and building a foundation that over time will become more reliable than what is in place now. If things have been very rough over the last 6 months, Jupiter can build on what is in place and likely bring things to a head. Changes on some level are in store, but if you review the circumstances of how things were prior to this time, you will note that change is a requirement.

IT’S A VIBRATIONAL THING

Every living organism has a vibration and is part of the cosmic collectiveness. We are interconnected with all life and feel and give off vibrations.

 

Since humans can vibrate on different frequencies, we can share our evolutional development with those that vibrate on different frequencies. Love, peace, and compassion vibrates for example are on the higher frequencies, while hate, violence, greed, and malicious intent vibrate on the lower frequencies. How important is it that we shed our unwanted or lower energies and transform them into higher vibrations?

TRANSITING ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LEO 2023 PART II

As mentioned on Monday, we are exploring a couple of transiting aspects to the natal Sun in Leo.

 

We continue our post from July 24 which looked at the Transit of Saturn affecting Sun in Leo.

 

In January, 2024 Pluto will move into the sign of Aquarius although returning once again to Capricorn from September to November, 2024 due to retrograde motion.

 

T Pluto will make an opposition to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Leo during the mentioned time and Pluto will stay in Aquarius for many years when it returns to Aquarius.

 

The transit of Pluto in opposition to Leo Sun can be a challenging one to say the least. In many cases it will involve relationships either with authority figures or relationships of significance (partner or parent depending on your age). There will likely be great tension and power struggles. Also there will be a strong need to control your life and in some cases the desire to control other people’s lives as well.

 

Pluto is all about evolution and transformation and during this phase of development, Sun in Leo will pursue their life goals delving deeply to confront what needs change or alteration. Others may disagree with the Leonian’s approach to life as they will also encounter inner power struggles, and outer manipulation. The Leonian will need a great degree of willpower to achieve their goals and stick to their convictions.

 

The houses always show where the energy and life conditions are regulated, and the natal potential must be considered. An educated Astrologer can assist you to understand if you have these conditions taking place in your chart.

TIME FOR ME

For many adults, particularly parents, the focus is “Look out for everyone else”. It used to be (but certainly changing) that women look after their children’s needs, cook meals and cleaned the house although today, most men certainly assist with these duties. Attitudes have changed and now it takes two to run a household.

 

It has become more and more common for couples to share duties yet life has become increasingly more and more busy. This leaves little personal time.

 

What have you done for yourself lately?

 

You are important too! Do you make time just for you or you and your partner?

 

Plan a date night as “couples” time is also important to ensure maintaining the deeper connections.

 

Personally, make time to go golfing, for a bike ride or for a walk (just you). Don’t let everything else take priority over you. Make plans for you and just for you. Relaxation is important to your overall well-being. The rest of the family will benefit from it too.

 

If making money is taking priority, what expense can be eliminated so you can back off with work just a little?

 

Don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself. Worry, concern, and anxiety cause disease.

 

Look after you. Enjoy life. Let go and just be.

 

Change your attitude if this is what is required. Step back and reflect on what you need and what you do not.

TRANSITING ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LEO 2023 PART I

We will only explore a couple of transiting aspects to the natal Sun, as this post could go deep into all of the outer planets, from Saturn to Pluto extensively.

 

First, we will look at T Saturn which will be in its retrograde cycle until Nov 4/23. It moves into direct motion at 0° Pisces and will travel from 0° to 19° by early 2025 then moving again into retrograde. The retrograde cycles of Saturn work in a favourable manner. T Saturn is quincunx those with their N Sun within the corresponding degrees.

 

Saturn often speaks of the past & life, moving very slowly but gradually building as we move out of situations that require our attention. With the quincunx, you need to make adjustments. This will be when you take a closer look at your objectives and the desire to make personal adjustments.

 

You may feel limited and restricted as you maneuver your way through some adversities. This can cause a hindrance as you try to do what you want to do. Hard work is always required with Saturn’s influence, but its rewards can also create solid foundations that have the potential to last a long period of time.

 

There may be conflicts with those in authority, especially those that do not recognize the effort you have put into your work. There may be high expectations which seem to create disparity between what those in authority may want and what you may wish to accomplish. Perhaps you wish to do things your way knowing that the best results are achievable when you take a leading role, but they disagree with your way of doing things.

 

When Saturn is in its retrograde cycle, your efforts to achieve are more effective and things run smoother, but constant effort and hard work are always part of the picture.

TRUE YOU

Have an honest look at the way you represent yourself. This may be the way you express yourself in public, to family or friends or even on a deeper scale with yourself.

 

Be totally honest and respectful with yourself. Do you like who you are?

 

Are you moving in a preferred direction with your personal growth?

 

Is there room for change or are you satisfied with the true you?

 

An honest reflection often reveals a preference for some change, maybe very minor. When we make change we feel better about ourself because we have grown and the feeling of control. There is always work to be done (we are human), but honesty is what is required to move forward.

 

Do not make changes because of others’ expectations. Make a change because you have personal reasons to do so. Live according to your wants and goals. You might not need to make many changes when you look at your life from that perspective.

 

Honest contemplation is important. Do not jump on a whim. Being reflective can take time.

 

If you don’t like what you see, make the changes that will make you more comfortable with who you are.

 

Remember “who you wish you were” is already a part of who you are. You would not recognize those qualities or traits unless they were already a part of your true identity. Maybe the change needed is letting your true light shine without concern of what others may think.

SUN IN LEO 2023

The Sun transits from the sign of Cancer (a Cardinal, Water sign) into the sign of Leo (a Fixed, Fire sign) on July 22, 2023. There is a change from the caregiver, warmhearted, gentle individual Cancer to the big hearted, loyal, dignified, and strong character energy of Leo. Leonians are motivated by the need to help and the feeling that they often know what the best approach to take is when action is needed.

 

Leonians are strong leaders who dream big, often exaggerating the positive potential. This all comes from the heart (ruled by Leo). A Leonian knows what it takes to advance in life and is willing to work towards their objectives. They are attracted to the finer things in life like achievements, nice homes, luxury items and larger bank accounts. These they feel can get them what they want, which in many cases is recognition from their peers for their achievements.

 

Leonians do not always like to admit that they have failed but once they get past their egos, they will take full responsibility and do what is necessary to move in the required direction. They can be conceited in certain circumstances and truly feel as though they have an important role to play in the lives of those around them. In many cases, this is true.

 

Leonians that are evolved have an inner code which they are loyal too and must live up to. They have strong morals and are quite aware, especially after the fact, of the effect they have on others; therefore, their objectives are sincere and noble. Never accuse them of egoic intensions and always show them appreciation for their efforts. This will ensure you have their attention in a positive way. They need a pat on the back and appreciate affection. Leonians are quite willing to give back where needed. They are kindhearted with good intensions.

BUSINESS AS USUAL

I believe it is important to recognize that we share this experience with fellow transcendent travelers. We are not alone although at times it feels that way. Not only do we share this path with our family and friends, but we also share it with those in our vicinity and going further with those not as physically close.  Essentially, we share this experience with all fellow beings.

 

Going deeper, we share this world with all living things, including plants, animals, birds, insects, bacteria, fungi, etc. How important is it that as we give respect and love to all earthy inhabitants?

 

We need nature far more than nature needs us. Where would we be without oxygen from plants/trees, water, food which would not exist without insects, birds, etc.  We need to learn respect for all earthly inhabitants.

 

Canada is on fire. How does this affect us as a whole?

 

The earth is a living breathing organism. We can do our part and those in authority representing us must also do what is necessary to help mother earth be healthy again. Alone we can make a change, but together we can move mountains.

NEW MOON JULY 17, 2023

We will experience the energies of a New Moon at 24° Cancer at 2:31 EDT today.

 

For those that are touched by this New Moon, it may be an emotional roller-coaster. The third decant of Cancer is Pisces. Cancer has an intense emotional interlinking and Pisces feels all senses. Choices will likely be based on emotion, and you will have difficulty dealing with challenging situations because of all the intensity of the energy linked to this lunar placement.

 

Don’t forget this New Moon is the start of something new. How this plays out will depend on the natal positioning of this New Moon in your chart. You must have planets or important angles connected by conjunction or opposition to the New Moon to really feel its influence.

 

What you start now will have its harvest in about 6 months when we experience the Cancer Full Moon on December 26 @ 7:33 p.m. EST.

 

With the New Moon, since you will now feel all that surrounds you and you may find it difficult to separate your feelings from those that are around you, this may be an emotional rollercoaster. However, intuition and psychic awareness are equally amplified currently. You may know more than what is obvious and intuitively know how to handle situations.

 

This New Moon is trine to Transiting Neptune(27° Pisces) which is within an acceptable orb. This may assist you in knowing what to follow as real and what might be exaggerated or embellished on some level.

 

Although not necessarily connected to this lunar positioning, there is a yod forming and anyone with planets or angles around 28° especially in Leo will find they are confronted with a difficult situation, potentially involving a female figure. Adjustments will be necessary as there is a challenging situation from Pluto and Neptune. We must see things as they are and then make important decisions and transformations due to what is taking place. This is often a challenging situation where something difficult must be confronted. We are asked to find our own center so we can deal with the situation accordingly and then move away from what has unfolded. The answer is found in the sextile between Pluto and Neptune as they transit the chart.

PLUTO, NEPTUNE, SATURN, AND VENUS IN RETROGRADE, PART II

We are continuing our post from yesterday. During the month of July, 2023 Pluto, Neptune and Saturn are all in retrograde and Venus enters its retrograde cycle on July 22.

 

Pluto remains retrograde until October 10 when it goes stationary direct at almost 28° Capricorn and then becomes direct on October 13.

 

Neptune went retrograde June 29 and will remain retrograde until later in Jan/24.

 

Saturn went into retrograde June 16 and will remain until early Nov/23.

 

Venus goes direct on Sept 4/23.

Saturn retrograde often works better than when in its direct motion. This is the only planet that through reflection can produce practical results while in retrograde. This is a time when reflection on what you might want to reduce, eliminate, or simplify can be activated. You can now work towards achievement and the potential is stronger or requires less work to accomplish. Set goals, review your workload, see where opportunities lie and forge ahead. Saturn moving through Pisces can indicate a time of learning about your spiritual goals and tools such as meditation which will help open the door.

 

Venus in retrograde can make love and affection somewhat hard to find. If you are already in a relationship that needs some renewal or requires a lot of work this may be the time when you decide to end the relationship. Some relationships may remain in place but not without some evaluation and effort while other relationships may come to an end. This can relate to friendships and social gatherings as well – any type of relationship. It is not always wise to move towards planning for parties/gatherings during Venus retrograde as they may not turn out as planned. If you have already made plans then you should move ahead as Astrology does not dictate; it only offers suggestions on how to best use the energies at hand. Venus can also speak of finances and may indicate several turns with finances. You can experience downturns and then upward trends with finances.

 

Remember while reviewing these transits take into consideration which houses they will be moving through and pay particular attention to the planets that they will activate. Conjunctions and oppositions are the most relevant and the natal potential must be considered before drawing conclusions.

PLUTO, NEPTUNE, SATURN, AND VENUS IN RETROGRADE, PART I

During the month of July, 2023 Pluto, Neptune and Saturn are all in retrograde and Venus enters its retrograde cycle on July 22.

 

Pluto remains retrograde until October 10 when it goes stationary direct at almost 28° Capricorn and then goes direct again on October 13.

Pluto in retrograde still causes some havoc, transformations and regeneration but does so with a little more challenge. There may be more ego disruptions and anger for those affected by its cycle as most planets do not operate in their full, positive frequencies while in retrograde. Eg. Pluto can make you more reflective and look deep on a personal level, asking for an honest look at your more dark qualities and then purging them. Looking inward may not be a pleasant task but in doing so we can eliminate the personality traits that are not beneficial. This is a time of reflection and inner contemplation. When Pluto goes direct you will be able to move ahead without these implications addressing all the concerns of personal advancement.

 

Neptune retrograde wants you to separate reality and illusion. This can be on a personal level or related to important things in your life, such as relationships. This is a time for reflection and preparing yourself for the elimination of unwanted personal fiction that has held you captive because you may have refused to deal with them earlier. Your mystical approach may also have difficulty coming to the surface. You may need to deal with anything that has made you anxious or disoriented. Once you reach a viable, real, truthful conclusion you can move into reality once again and the doors of the mystical can open. This often takes place once Neptune goes direct and can use its full application.

DON’T FORGET WHO YOU ARE

Sometimes we get lost in our everyday activities. Sometimes we get so caught up in existing that we forget to live.

 

We live each day, working, cleaning, cooking, and enjoying the pleasures that life provides. We focus on living in the moment, experiencing, accepting the lessons and then letting go. We connect on different levels with our inner self and identify with who we believe we are in the material, worldly sense.

 

Life experiences teach us and often opens doors that might otherwise have remained closed. Life certainly is a teacher, and we the students. This does not diminish as we age. There is never a time in life when we are not learning. Each time we feel stuck or stagnant, we are being taught patience and perseverance.

 

Have we forgotten our purpose which runs much deeper than just learning?

 

We get so caught up in the mind’s focus. Our thoughts do not define us. We are not our thoughts. We are the one listening to the thoughts. We run much deeper than our thoughts. Once simply listen to the mind instead of reacting to it, we can separate ourselves from the constant chatter that pulls us in every direction.

 

We are spiritual entities that have come into this life to experience and to learn, but we have also come into this life to serve and help. The talents we brought into this life suggest that we are here to go far beyond just sleeping, eating, procreating and working. Destiny is calling from its deepest realms asking you to reach within and recognize the real you and to connect.

 

You can do more than exist. Reach out and help those in need and move in directions that you never thought were attainable. The mysteries of life will unfold to those open to learning, giving and expanding.

TRANSITING PLUTO OPPOSITION NATAL MARS

Currently (July/23) Pluto is in the last stages of Capricorn. Those with Natal Mars in either the later degrees of Cancer or the early Leo will be experiencing this opposition from T Pluto to their N Mars. The houses involved will have a huge impact on how these energies are released and areas of life involved. Look at N Pluto for more information on what these current energies might hold in store for you.

 

Pluto wants to end stagnant conditions or conditions in life that no longer suit your current needs. Pluto speaks of regeneration and transformation. There are no half measures with Pluto. Something must change so that something new can begin. Pluto often indicates struggles, ego disputes and when connected to Mars often aggressive interaction.

 

Mars in the natal chart shows an area where you can put a lot of energy and have the desire to initiate activities and action. Unless Mars is poorly aspected by perhaps Saturn (as it tends to dissolve energy and holds things back), Mars will almost always push you ahead and provide the drive you need to achieve.

 

Saturn creates opportunities through hard work and dedication but not without some real work. If you have Saturn in challenging aspect to Mars in your natal chart, you can expect some stops and starts, some push and pull when it comes to the areas of life where this energy is directed or withheld.

 

Oppositions are often difficult, and, in many cases, other people are involved in the situation. This can create hardships where arguments and disagreements are a big part of what unfolds. Disputes are common as Pluto and Mars do not work well together. Both energies can be very forceful and, in some cases, even aggressive, causing not only arguments but in some cases actual aggression and physical interaction. Watch for putting yourself in harm’s way. Do not operate vehicles while angry as the potential for accidents is in place.

 

E.g. T Pluto moving through the first house, (which often indicates a change of direction when it passes over the Ascendant) making an opposition to N Mars in the 7^th house (sometimes indicating the potential for disruption in relationships of significance) suggesting that there may be some challenge within a relationship of significance such as your partner. Let’s say that N Pluto is in the 12^th house. Things have been hidden or behind your back. You may not have known what was taking place and now things surface. There is great potential for major issues within the relationship often initiated by the other person.

 

On the positive side (as all aspects have that potential) after you find out what has been unfolding and deal with it, perhaps the relationship comes to an end and over some time someone new with a much more agreeable temperament comes into your life. Pluto will challenge life and make significant changes, and, in many cases, it is not a good idea to go against what Pluto is making you face, even if it is unpleasant. This is a challenging aspect but can produce favourable outcomes over time.

LIFE IS THE TASK MAKER

Life does not move along smoothly without lessons. We live day to day embarking on our journey pushing forward with our own specific intent. We pursue our goals, build on our achievements, advance our causes and formulate an action plan for the future. In many cases we really do not know what lies ahead, but we do have to make goals. Our aspirations sometimes exceed our expectations and sometimes they fall short.

 

There are many lessons along the way, and we move through them at our own pace. Some work through challenges without resistance, while others have great difficulty moving through adversity. Life is not easy but it is not all problematic either. Attitude of course plays a significant role in how life feels and regardless of achievement or failure our attitude magnified whatever we focus on.

 

Important lessons are often taught in times of strife, and anxiety can build as we maneuver our way forward. Anxiety and stress can have profound influences on our health and wellbeing, and we must find ways to alleviate the worry caused by our expectations and anticipation.

 

Recognition that our focus on life is beyond significant is an important lesson and is a great tool to move beyond a hard lesson or to not make a lesson larger than it has to be.

 

When we move into the times between lessons (our reflection or rest period) it is important to recognize just how fortunate these times are. Be thankful. Appreciation is important.

 

There are many who do not live the lives we live in the Western World and their struggles are beyond anything we might ever experience. Recognize that we are fortunate.

 

Take advantage of the lessons that come your way. They are not punishment; they are growth opportunities. Take responsibility for whatever lessons you are to learn as on some level you will grow from them. In many cases, change, which is often a byproduct of challenge, places us right on path and moves us where we need to go, even though we may not see it at that time. Accept adversity and learn and then let it go. Nothing is permanent. The experience of anxiety or worry is human but it is a choice.

TRANSITING SATURN SQUARE NATAL MARS

The square aspect (90° of separation) has been known to create conflicts, tension, and strain. They are not considered an easy aspect and there is often a lot of push and pull with some degree of power struggle. It is best to deal with the issues at hand and cooperate, finding a compromise and resolution to the problem at hand.

 

In the birth (natal) chart, a square indicates that there is a conflict with two planets and we have to deal with the problem. A struggle with life’s balance is at hand and inner reflection often produces a resolution.

 

There will be a real push and pull when it comes to these two planets we are focusing on in this post. Saturn is quite comfortable with “the known” and seeks structure and reliability. Mars on the other hand wants change and pushes for action and resolution when there is a conflict. Starts and stops can be expected and concerns with direction and making the wrong choices are part of the energy. Saturn says I like things as they are and Mars says I want change and action.

 

Sometimes Saturn speaks about objectives that you have worked hard to obtain. This can be related to our profession, relationships and objectivity. Mars looks for action and although the energies of Mars seem to be blocked and even under attacked during this time it is due to the concern that change might not be a good thing. It is a time to give a little and make compromises. Perhaps you can hold on to some things but in reality you should be letting go. This will take energy and you may not feel like you have staying power right now.

 

Squares between planets are stressful and create tension and crisis on some level. However, the energies are frustrating enough that they force us into action to create a compromise or a viable solution to the problem. Moving ahead is likely what is being called for but holding on to what has proven to have value should also be part of the process. You are trying to find balance through concise action. This compromise may not be at all pleasing to you at first but over time you will find that this was necessary and the best route to take to avoid confrontation or misalignment.

GOING WITH THE FLOW

Do you ever feel like life is taking you for a ride, one that moves you in directions that you had not planned for which do not feel all that comfortable?

 

Some of us fight the process while others will accept what is taking hold and go with the flow. Unless you foreseeable disaster ahead, it may be best to go with the flow rather than paddling upstream against the current.

 

It is not easy to let go and for those that feel they need control and a hand in the way life unfolds it may be difficult to understand or accept that some things are out of our control. There may be inner power struggles with self, challenges that must be met, yet some things just need to be accepted.

 

Does your current path hurt others or hurt you personally?

 

There may be a lot to take into consideration when pushing for change.

 

Sometimes life changes direction at what seems to be the most inappropriate times and we just need to accept and move on. Yet sometimes we need to take a stand and stand up for what we believe in.

 

Life moves in different directions throughout our journey. We truly do not know where it will take us next. It is not always an easy path but we need to pick our battles. Is it worth fighting for and how is it affecting us personally and others?

 

How is our frame of mind concerning the situation?

 

Do we have to make some compromise, or do we need to reflect and think things over?

 

What is the best resolution for all concerned and what can we do to make the transition easier?

 

Do we go with the flow or paddle against the current?
