OUR CONNECTION WITH MOTHER EARTH

As we slowly unravel our connection to our fellow man/woman, we also need to take into consideration our oneness with the earth.  We have a unique connection with nature as it enhances our emotions and stimulates us when we take in its “natur”al beauty.  Our world is vast and complex and addresses all the needs of each of the inhabitants of our earth.  Our planet has a mothering quality and constantly nurtures its inhabitants to sustain their existence. It is amazing to observe the constant growth of all the necessary ingredients to keep life flourishing.

 

Remove yourself from the concrete barriers of our gigantic cities with their human-made lavish furnishings and fabricated luxury.  View the calm and serene mountain-side or a flowing river, or the vastness of the Ocean.  These gentle slops and vast exposures are breathtaking and did not need our influenced to be that way.

 

The beauty of a snowflake and natural curvatures found in a wave as it gently moves across a lake are all splendors of nature and they share their serenity with anyone who is open to their experience.  We are the simple observers.  We merely need to allow these sensations to envelop us.  Find a place of solitude during times of strife.  Watch as nature gently moves you away from your focus of aggravation without the aid of any substance or even a calming word. 

 

Nature speaks in volumes.  It stills the mind.  It leaves you in a sense of wonderment and you can become lost in its beauty.  We are part of nature.  It is this connection that allows us to experience natures’ calming spirit and to soften our turbulent experiences.  Meditate in nature and listen to the whisper of the wind hustling through the trees.  It is anything but silent, yet moves us to a place of peace.  The breaking of waves on the shoreline calms our nerves and eases our concerns, naturally.

 

It is not by co-incidence that we call our magnificent planet, Mother Earth.  It provides us with all the sustenance we need and offers comfort during time of trouble.  It gently speaks to us in a tongue that is understood by us all.  This is our home.  It exonerates our stress simply by allowing us to release through its very beauty. 

 

There is always an outstretched hand to strengthen us during our times of trials and tribulations.  Be thankful for all of its blessings.  Understand your unique connection with our beautiful world – our Mother Earth!

THE SIGN OF CANCER IN ASTROLOGY

The Sun moves into the sign of Cancer this weekend.  Anyone with their Sun in this sign, strong planetary influences in the fourth house, Sun in the fourth house and the Rising sign in Cancer will find their character traits reflected in what is written below.

 

The Sun Sign represents who we are on the inside and, among other things, has to do with our identity and the way we embrace this earthly existence.  The Ascendant or Rising Sign is an expression of who we are on the outside and how others see us.  Keep this in mind and understand the difference between the Ascendant and the Sun when you review these Cancer tendencies.

As children they are usually very helpful wishing to please and sensitive to their environment.  Great harm can be caused and may hinder their development if there is strife within the family unit or in the home environment.  They need loving tenderness and should be allowed to explore their great sensitivity at an early age.  Do not shut down their emotional makeup.  This teaches them to understand their own emotional temperament and will assist them as they mature into themselves over time.  If there are any psychic tendencies at a young age these tendencies should be reinforced and they should be allowed to explore this side of their nature rather than be shut down and told that it is not real.  

 

The sensitivity that is so inherent within this group of unique individuals can become their greatest asset as time passes or become their weakest element in their psyche if self-expression is hindered.  Open yourself to sensitivity and unlock your Cancer tendencies within.  Find your expression of this very sensitive sign, Cancer.

DELIGHT IN TRUTH

Reflect on all of the good that life provides.  Refrain from focusing on what “you feel” you are missing in your life, or “why me” because of the difficult lessons you are learning from time to time.  We want only to focus on life’s fulfillments and the love generated from within.

 

Be thankful for your life and all its blessings.  Be thankful for that little voice inside.  Be thankful for your ability to filter thoughts and act on them.  Be thankful of the tranquility that the mind can experience through acts of meditation.  Be thankful for all interactions in life that provide you will the resources necessary to move forward with your life. 

 

Take a moment to reflect on your own personal life and all the gifts within it.  In reality, they are too numerous to try to list.  Take an honest look at your life.  Be thankful for all the challenges that life provides you with for these are your stepping stones to growth.

 

Find that place within that brings you peace and contentment and reside there whenever possible.  Be in the moment and appreciate that it exists.  Embrace your chosen life and the rewards that are ever present.  Revel in them!  Above all be thankful for your connection with life itself and the understanding that you are of the oneness that exists in all things.  Understand the truth of this oneness and know that you are an integral part of it.

TRANSITING JUPITER IN LEO

Jupiter is the planet of expansive enthusiasm and optimistic points of view.  It encompasses all that radiates on the higher octaves of life and is associated with good luck, opportunities for growth and quite often growth on a spiritual level.  It brings with it optimistic realizations and a belief in potential future opportunities that can be reflected in philosophical learnings and encompasses religious doctrines and higher philosophies.

 

Jupiter enters the sign of Leo on July 17 in 2014 and remains in this sign until August 12, 2015.  Leo is a fire sign and Jupiter in this element will trine all other planetary locations and angles in this same element.  Jupiter in aspect to any planet or angle regardless of aspect (with the exception with aspects to Saturn) depicts opportunities for growth and a positive influence in our lives.

 

Jupiter often suggests good fortune and expansion.  Depending on what area of life it affects (the planets in specific houses), it can translate into many areas of your life’s experience.  Financial opportunities or security enhancement (2^nd house), ease in communicational abilities and being able to get your point across in an optimistic manner (3^rd house) and opportunities for relationships and happiness in partnership (7^th house) are just a few areas of expansion that may unfold if you have transiting Jupiter in trine or sextile to planets in these houses.

 

Jupiter is usually a positive influence in your life but can also lead to overconfidence or laziness because things just seem to flow in a fortunate manner.  Jupiter at times can lead to neglectfulness as there can be a feeling that things can look after themselves with little influence on your part.  Jupiter has a tendency to expand everything it touches and when aspected to your ascendant especially by square or opposition, it can also inflate the waste line or overconfidence in your own abilities.

 

It is, however, a good time to make the extra effort as there are more opportunities for growth-- growth in spirituality (12^th house) opportunities, to enhance or gain recognition in your career (10^th house) or potential romantic involvement or growth to the family (5^th house) just to name a few.  If you were to push a little harder, the chances for things working positively are enhanced, especially with the trine, the sextile and most conjunctions.  Jupiter does not guarantee success and abundance in areas of life but provides better opportunities to achieve these things.

 

If there are links to the ninth, twelfth or eighth houses, the opportunities for internal growth are highly suggested.  This could be a great time of self-discovery, perhaps through travel (ninth house), through the occult and mystical pursuits (eighth or twelfth) although the twelfth may indicate changes and opportunities for growth through somewhat hidden channels, such as through the sub-conscious or through dream interpretations.  Jupiter generally provides a more philosophical approach to all of life’s endeavours.

IN TIMES OF DESPERATION

When you are faced with circumstances that seem to provide no outlet, there is always a place you can retreat to.  This place can be found within where solitude and peace will assist you to transpose your attitude towards the difficult events at hand.  There is a place within that provides you with what is needed to move you past life’s most difficult situations.

 

This place is found when have reached your breaking point, and you feel that there is nothing left that can assist you and push you past these overwhelming times.  The strength that you are looking for to help you overcome life’s trials and tribulations is always accessible, but usually found in the seemingly last moment.  When all else fails, you look within to find the strength to make it through that final barrier.

 

You were born for this.  Although the barriers seem too high, you always have what it takes.  Never forget this.  There is no challenge that you cannot meet or overcome; there is no wall that is impenetrable.  You are stronger than you think and the necessary strength is at your disposal. 

 

You need to face up to these challenging situations.  They help you to unfold your potential and move you forward in your intended direction.  Obstacles are stepping stones placed in your way to overcome and dissolve.  Do not underestimate your ability.  Any obstruction is matched equally with your internal fortitude and your ability to overcome.

 

Challenges are put in place to ensure that you make changes to your life and to point you in a different direction.  They force you to make transformations and adjustments and sometimes it takes that near immovable barrier to make you push a little harder and challenge the situation.  You have what it takes.  Nothing stands in your way, only your belief structures.  Challenge yourself and find the strength that is required to help you around that next corner.  It is yours to conquer.  Believe!
