MUNDANE WORLDLY EXISTENCE

Do you feel caught up in everyday affairs?  Do you feel frustrated with the routine of going to work to make money to pay your bills?  Have you ever pondered the reason why you live this material life when you are far more interested in exploring spiritual enlightenment, experiencing the awakening and uncovering more and more from source?  How and why does anyone following this path have to live through material conditions?  What purpose do these material conditions serve?

There are many of us that ask these questions.  They certainly are valid.  You would think that there could be alternate courses that would eventually lead you to a similar place.  Why is life so tedious at times and is there not really an easier course or path that we could take which would lead us to the same end as this twisting and frustrating route the material journey teaches us?

The answers to these questions are obviously beyond mortal understanding and we have to realize that as spiritual beings we chose to enter into this life.  We chose to be the person we are today.  We chose the route most appropriate to teach us the knowledge we deemed necessary.  We also picked the most profound path that would have the most impact for growth.  We understood what we needed when we picked this life and although we are currently unfamiliar with the why behind our existence, we have been granted the path we require to facilitate our spiritual growth.

We can make concessions along the way and choose to move in different directions as we have been given free will, but the overall package of life is predetermined and we will walk the road of life that we create along the way.  It may sound like a bit of a contradiction and might be difficult to understand as it is suggested that you create your life’s path through everyday living yet it is also predetermined.  Spirit is aware of the “flavour” of our life without having to know specifics of everyday living.  Time is ever present and the past and future are linked together and form the now in which we exist.

We do make concessions along the way but the path that we choose although new to us physically will always take us to where we need to go.  See time from all dimensions.  The past, the present and the future co-exist and are ever-present.  In spirit all is understood.

We are on this road of life and we live it day after day.  We create our tomorrows by the concepts we follow today.  Understand this and realize how important it is that you lay a framework that will offer you the most bang for your buck.  Think in positive terms.  Practice patience and believe in the unbelievable. 

All is attainable and what you search for is within your grasp.  It will materialize in one form or another as you acquaint yourself with the process of creation.   Without realizing, you have done this your whole life.  Recognize this now and exercise your control.  Make life happen.

Our so-called mundane existence is not so mundane after all, when we allow ourselves to take it all in and experience the constant moment.  The moment within the moment is all about awareness.  Experience it to the fullest and do not run from it.  The moment has already found you so utilize it.  Focusing on the moment is the best investment you can make.

MINOR ASPECTS - THE SEMI-SQUARE

The Semi-Square is a 45 degree aspect with an orb of influence of no more than a 2 degree and can be described as a minor irritant.  However if the angle between two planets in tight, (less than 10-20 minutes apart), the influence is much stronger than a distant square separated by 10 degrees.  This applies to all minor aspects in that the closer the aspect to being direct the stronger the influence in the chart.

When an accident takes place, the Semi-Square (45 degrees) and Sesquiquadrate (135 degrees) aspects are usually present in a chart.  This is not to say that when you have many of these minor aspects in your chart activated through progression or transit that accidents are about to take place.  However, they are an indicator and other influences especially related to Uranus, Mars and Pluto in hard aspect to one another must be present.  There would have to be at least 3 aspects of similar indications for higher risk of an accident.  Sometimes high risk periods can lack in squares and have many trines present.  In general, trines suggest easy flow without obstruction; however the interpretation of easy flow does not indicate positive action, so please do not be led astray.

Semi-Squares are like an added irritant to an already challenging condition.  Life might be full of obstructions and difficulties and then some small irritant adds to the fire.  It is as though you already felt overwhelmed by the circumstances and then something else comes along although relatively minor in irritation.  This can add fuel to the fire and stir up things to the boiling point.

In general, however, if there are not other forces at work suggesting trying conditions, the Semi-Square might pass by relatively unnoticed except by the select few that are extremely in tuned to such vibrations in their lives.  Focusing on any element in life adds to the experience and therefore it is suggesting that one pay attention to the more positive attributes in life.

Although these minor irritants are just that, irritants, it is suggested that these irritants can facilitate productive results after the fact.  They are suggestive of some hard work as are all challenging aspects and it is through this hard work and often disciplinary control that we make progress.  We actually need these periods of strife in life to gain momentum and move forward.  These assist us in gaining strength and expand our life’s education.  Semi-Squares tend to force action on some level.

Semi-Squares operate on a different level than the inaction of the Square aspect.  Squares tend to obstruct and place obstacles in our way before success can be obtained.  There is less resistance when the aspect involved is the Semi-Square.  A resolution is often easier found with this aspect and we are able to move forward more freely to find a solution than we would be able to with the square. 

Once again, it is very important to use only a tight degree of separation when interpreting this minor aspect, as the closer the aspect is to being direct the stronger the influence.

The Gift of Giving

THE GIFT OF GIVING

Have you taken a moment to truly examine your position in life.....that place where you stand.....that which you stand for?  What does your quest reveal?  How will you manifest your dreams?  What are your dreams?  Are your dreams significance not only for you but for the world at large? 

You may say “What can I do on the world stage?”  “How can I as an individual help maneuver our world in such a way that we will and can all grow and prosper in some way?”

These are earnest questions and ones we may ask often.  We go to great depths searching for answers that will shed light on our individual purpose, and in turn hope that these discoveries will allow us to do our part.  We often come up with little in the way of ideas to facilitate a much needed transformation.  Most of us agree that a transformation is desperately needed on a global basis, as our world is in a perpetual state of turmoil on many levels.

It is clear that our financial system has terrible flaws.  Markets are volatility.  Countries are bankrupt.  People do not have funds to eat.  A large portion of our world is teetering; living on very little and struggling to get by.  Some are fighting for their lives, but to most of us in the developed countries, this does not seem real.  We live within the comfortable confines of our homes and eat quite regularly.  It is difficult to comprehend the horrendous states that some people live in.  We certainly have to acknowledge our blessings and the comforts that we take for granted.

Most of us live wonderful life.  Yes, we experience upheavals from time to time, but overall, we are blessed.  How can we be of service to those less fortunate than we are?  What can we do? 

We can offer whatever assistance we are capable of giving.  The assistance may be small but working together these small bits can manifest into substantial help.  These small steps also offer us a state of wellness, happiness and thankfulness and these are all attributes that we are all in search of.

It is not the extent of what you do.  It only matters that you act.  Little things on a regular basis matter.  Follow your heart and listen to that little voice inside.  It will always push you in the right direction.  Who knows what result your compassion, you loving concern, your gentle voice will have on someone in need.  Give from your heart, and leave the mind out of the equation.  This will help to facilitate real change.  It always begins at home and then in your own back yard and eventually the ripples of your acts of kindness will touch the world.  Through example, we can teach and help many. 

It is your life to give; do it with love.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES IN LIFE - PART II

For all those caught up in life’s drama as well as those experiencing life’s bliss, it is understood that our response to life and its events creates our outlook and the world around us.  We cannot be stressed if we are focused on events and people that make us feel happy and fulfilled.  Alternatively, we cannot be happy if we repetitively focus on the events that we see as hurtful and that we allow to make us depressed or angry.  Where we allow the mind to place its focus will dictate our response to life.  If we practice having a positive frame of mind and we willing accept that even the harshest conditions have lessons that push us to grow, we can program our automatic responses to automatically turn to positivity.  We will see the positive in each event in life and willingly can alter the emotional course of events as they are unfolding. 

As discussed previously in earlier posts, the biggest positive step forward is learning to control and consciously focus our mind on the positive in life.   We have the ability to channel our thoughts in whatever direction we choose and in so doing, we usher growth and optimism back into the forefront of our lives.

We must remain steadfast in our approach and allow positive feedback in any form to dominate our minds.  The more we think positively, the more we bring our expectations to higher levels.  When we understand the meaning of our creative potential, we build a positive future for ourselves, our loved ones and for humanity as a whole.  Remember the ripple effect.  Each one of us are part in it, either as the creator, the spectator or the receiver.  We are responsible for our own happiness and to facilitate love for self and for coming generations.

By living our part and having an open mind and heart, we will help mold a new reality.  We create our world and build on it constantly by focus and belief structure.  Life does and will happen but it is in our hands to accept it full-heartedly or close the door and become stagnant and resistant to the flow of learning.

We hold the key to our own happiness.  We cannot look to others to change our life’s conditions.  When we see changes of a positive nature occurring in our lives, we can rest assured that we are making positive changes within the framework of our focus and then our existence.  Our outer life is a reflection of our inner reality.  If we are unhappy and do not like our current place in the world, we must make changes internally.  No one else can do this for us.

We need to take control of our lives regardless of any outside conditions.  We can be the designer of our destiny and build a solid foundation that will withstand the storms of tomorrow.  We are the answer to any dilemma.  We and we alone hold the key.

Minor Aspects - THE SEMI-SEXTILE

Over the next four Astrology posts, we will take a look at the minor aspects and their meanings or energies. The first of these is the Semi-Sextile which is a 30 degree aspect with no more than a 2 degree orb of influence.

This aspect is said to be of lessor importance unless it is part of a bigger configuration and the planets involved are inter-configured with other planets and angles in the horoscope. The Semi-Sextile often reinforces other elements within the birth chart that are of similar meaning. Trines or conjunctions to the planets involved would be assisted from the Semi-Sextile and reinforced or would have further support to what is already there.

Putting the relative insignificance of this aspect aside, it still does work as a supporting factor and often facilitates opportunities as does the Sextile. It is often active in times when we seem to find ourselves in the right place at the right time. Sometimes things just seem to fall into our laps when this configuration is activated through progression and transit. Other times, we have to work towards a positive outcome but the opportunities are still present.

Semi-Sextiles seem to imply gentle assistance and are often in play when things just seem to work out well. If this aspect is standing alone, it might not be overly noticeable but if it has other assisting corroborations within the chart such as Jupiter and Venus linked in some fashion, it might be highlighted and fortunate, especially if in trine or conjunction.

If Mercury is involved in the equation the Semi-Sextile provides building opportunities to enhance the thought process and an ability to function mentally on a higher level of awareness. It would help to transcend any learning difficulties although if there are many other factors in the chart suggesting otherwise it would not be of much assistance.

In progression, it might assist in making arrangements for learning potential, higher education on some level and even clearer insight. Once again this is subject to other circumstances within the framework of the chart. When signing documents or agreements if other chart indicators are functioning in an agreeable manner, the Semi-Sextile might provide the incentive for you to sign that agreement and be in the right place at the right time for things to work out in a very positive manner.

When conjoined with the Saturn (the teacher), the normal energies Saturn is associated with such as delays, obstacles and frustration may be harnessed and used to your advantage. You will still be careful when applying Saturn’s energy to the affairs linked to this time and space but may feel comfortable enough to move forward with some activity that works with you rather than holding you back.

Semi-Sextiles are little helpers and offer their assistance in minor ways but can be of general good when other aspects correspond to their energies. A tightly angled Semi-Sextile will hold greater significance than a distant trine or sextile configuration.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES IN LIFE PART I

There are very few of us that are do not face some type of challenging conditions in our lives.  There are some individuals however that do maintain that life moves on a very smooth track for them.  In most cases, each of us eventually meet up with some type of crisis or another.  When we do, it is hard not to feel as though our mental resolve is being tested.

More often than not, these conditions come up on us without warning.  Our reaction and attitude or mental outlook play important roles in our approach and eventual triumph over these challenges. 

During our late twenties and early forties, it is not unusual to find ourselves under challenging conditions with respect to our partnerships.  Sometimes these events have what we feel are positive energy and other times, not so positive energy.

Some of us experience the loss of loved ones while others moving into new relationships with different obligations and wonderful experiences linked to new births. 

Those experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved ones can have a huge emotional mountain to climb and need to find a place of inner solace where they can rise above their feelings of loss.  For those fortunate enough to be experiencing new life within the family unit will enjoy the miracle of life more readily.

Some experience traumatic events linked to health, sometimes their own and other times with their loved ones. 

Remaining positive and staying true to ourselves helps to alleviate some of the more less than positive reactions to these conditions.  Emotional support from close friends and family during these times are beneficial even if just through comforting words. 

Some individuals are so very fortunate because of the faith they have in life and the higher powers that be.  They do not get caught up in the stress of “what if”, “should have” or “maybes”.  They recognize life’s lessons as stepping stones to greater things and they do not own events or statements.  Some of these individuals even take life’s acknowledgement one step further and see and know life as being perfect in every way.  The events that most of us would view as negative are seen as positive by these individuals as they recognize the larger picture.  They focus on the moment and in this very moment our lives are fulfilled completely.  We need nothing more, right now, in this very second than what we have at hand.

New found love awakens wonderful feelings within.  Look at your life.  See the wonder and beauty contained within it.  Recognize the miracle it contains.  Can you awaken a new found love for self and the life that you lead? 

Awaken the acknowledgement of growth on a spiritual level through self-understanding and a commitment to truth.  Self-realization can be one of the most significant and fulfilling experiences that we will experience along our life’s journey.

 

It is important to realize that appreciate of self and life can be real if we see ourselves and our lives in a clearer light.  Utilize all of the positive, self-creating processes available to you.  They are available always, any ime, anywhere regardless of the current life events being experienced.  Our awakening can take place under any circumstance but usually it takes an event of immense proportion to make us stop and take a true look at who we truly are.
