NORTH NODE & SOUTH NODE CONJUNCT THE MIDHEAVEN IN ASTROLOGY

Since the midheaven or MC, is usually a very public place, those that have their North Node in conjunction to this axis are here to gain recognition within the working environment and get publicly noticed for some of the work and achievements that they will accomplish.  The MC is relative to our interaction with the world at large and our place in it.  It has been known as the axis of destiny and is often connected to public life, particularly when heavily activated in the birth chart.

Any planetary link, including nodal association, will have to be deciphered comprehensively.  The sign that the node is in or the planet that is conjunct as well as the planets rulership will have to be delineated to get a further definition of what the MC entails.  When the MC is connected to the North Node, and as it is understood that the North Node is what we should be striving towards, many will seek friendships with people of like minds that will help facilitate the need for recognition in this life.  These people they seek out may help them achieve what it is they are trying to accomplish.

Often there is great progress made with their objectives and some will receive the recognition and public status that they are looking for, but not always for the best reasons.  It is important that they try to make sure that they are working on behalf of others and serving the general interests of the public, rather than only to achieve success for their own personal gain.  Whether or not they achieve their heart’s desire will often by indicated by the planetary links to the conjunction and the overall condition suggested in the birth chart.

When there is a strong link especially by conjunction between the South Node and the MC, it is suggested that in a prior life that these people received plenty of recognition for their efforts.  They may have been in positions of authority where others would have helped them achieve great things or notorious things, much depends on the aspects to this position.  In this life rather than being centre stage which they were in the previous one, they are to remain low-key and stay in the background perhaps aiding others in their endeavours.

There is often a need to develop a sense of humbleness as well as a modest attitude where they will put their emphasis on the home and family rather than making a name for themselves.  They may have to take a humble stance in the material world and leave behind their need for recognition and achievement.   Their life’s objectives will change significantly as the NN is now conjunct the IC and this is where they will be drawn too working within the family and home environment, developing themselves on a deep emotional level, which is quite different from their previous existence.

The North Node’s objectives will usually be realized and some assistance and the push in life will often come from outside sources.  The North Node is uncharted territory and a little uncomfortable for most of us.  Many initially will shy away from this push by outside forces, but eventually realize and accept the fact that they are to move in this direction.  Those in particular with the Aries point degrees on the MC (29 degrees Mutable to 2 degrees Cardinal) have the opportunity to gain public recognition for their efforts.  Cardinal emphasis in a chart will push people into achievement in many cases and hard work is emphasized unless there are other mitigating factors found within the birth chart.

DISRUPTIONS IN LIFE

Over the course of a lifetime, most of us will experience the loss of our job.  In many cases, it is unexpected and most of us are never emotionally prepared for this challenge.  Some of us have enough experience in our chosen field that we are able to obtain new positions, while others are faced with redundancy and their positions within their chosen fields die out.

There may have been life struggles in place prior to the job loss and this new situation adds fuel to the fire.  If you were to clearly review our total life situation these other irritants (and I use the term lightly) are actually configured with the loss of the job and the total picture signify change on some or many level.  Often these other changes can involve partnerships, children and/or parents.

Often traumatic or stressful conditions when viewing from a higher perspective have come into play because we have become complacent with living and a change of direction is now necessary.  We find that when these situations happen, we are not happy with some or possibly all of the conditions within our lives but we are reluctant to do anything to make changes.  Alternatively our life situation may offer little if any growth and we are then forces into situations that will make us alter our course.

If we are forced to change our jobs, we should focus on the positive (for there are always positive repercussions if we care to see them) and perhaps a challenge is just what we need.  Perhaps part of the evolutionary change was that we learn to appreciate our jobs on a deeper level or perhaps the new position will provide us with a greater feeling of accomplishment.  Perhaps we need a change of scenery and the relationships we had with the people we were involved with in our working environment were holding us back in some way. 

There undoubtedly are lessons involving money and its importance and the role it should played in our lives.  There are many potential reasons for a change in our life’s direction.  We must learn to embrace the new and realize that the time has come for a new chapter to begin.

We cannot get caught up in self-pity and negativity.  By doing so, we only dig a much deeper emotional hole.  We must believe that we will conquer all challenges, big or small, and as a result we will grow both emotionally and spiritually.  Challenges are necessary to push us forward, and spiritually, your soul or higher self knows just what it is we need to facilitate further growth and evolution.  As we settle into our new phase, we will find that our new role in life is exactly what we needed and the stressful change that we may have endured has produced benefits that far outweigh the price tag we placed on the event. 

A new page in life is before us and we are evolving and growing exactly as we should.  Find that place of peace and acceptance that dwells within when confronted with challenging conditions and acknowledge that events in life are meant to be.  We will not only endure these changes but ultimately, we will greatly benefit from them.

THE DESCENDANT

The Descendant in an Astrology chart is the opposite axis of the Ascendant and lies on the cusp of the seventh house.  The Rising sign or Ascendant is the sign coming over the horizon from the east at birth, while the Descendant is the sign descending on the western horizon at birth.  The natural rule of the Descendant is Libra, which is the sign associated with creating balance.  This is what the Descendant’s energies pertains to--the need to integrate self with others.

Depending on the sign on the cusp of the seventh house which is always exactly 180 degrees from the Ascendant, it will define how we relate to others.  As you can imagine, Aries on this cusp would be very different from let’s say Libra on this cusp. 

The Descendant also defines what we seek in a relationship, what we are looking for in an individual and how we will react to them.  On a deeper level, it is said that the sign on the seventh house cusp or Descendant describes the unconscious part of ourselves that we need to seek from within and work on in order to become complete.  It is not that these qualities are lacking only that they are hidden or not acknowledged.  We have to come to terms with these qualities and bring them to the surface or remove them from our makeup.

Through relationships with others, we build on and develop ourselves.  The sign on this cusp often describes the type of person we are attracted to, good or bad.  It describes the type of person we seem to keep meeting up with, over and over again.

An example of this might be if you have Virgo as your Ascendant.  You would express yourself in an organized manner.  You would be very precise and your attention to detail would be impeccable.  You would easily see the faults or shortcomings in others as well as within yourself.  You would undoubtedly use this information to decipher yourself as well as others.  If your Ascendant were Virgo, your Descendant would be Pisces.  With Pisces, you would be attracted to dreamy people, mystical people or people that you feel you need to save in some way.   You may be drawn to people who have a difficult time in the so called “real world” and it would be easy for them to use alcohol and drugs to try to escape reality.  They would be a very gentle person with an ability to accept others without restriction.  They could be psychic, spiritual or an escapists and usually hard cold facts are not easily digested.  These energies obviously would vary depending on the overall condition of the Natal chart and the emphasis in certain houses.  A detailed examination of the Natal chart is required in order to get a full and clear picture.

As you can imagine, we can learn a lot from these ever gentle people and perhaps through these people we can learn not to be so judgemental or find within ourselves the ability to locate only the good aspects of in others and ourselves. 

We can find out a lot about ourselves through close personal contacts and business relationships, as this would fall under the Descendant as well.  We may find that the sign on the Descendant could describe our perfect business partner for a prosperous business or perfect lover eventually leading to marriage.

Discover more of yourself by carefully analysing the Descendant in your Natal chart and find hidden characteristics that if allowed to bloom will complete who you are as an individual.  This is the highest qualities working at its best from this placement.

ENHANCING YOUR ENERGY FIELD

What is your energy field?  How does it affect me?  Does it range in frequency?  What can we do to enhance its qualities? 

Your energy field is your life’s force.  Through thoughts, attitude, and things that we ingest, etc., we affect our energy fields.  What we expand around us in our daily life is mirrored in us.  This field varies in frequency by how we relate to our environment and it releases what we feel through vibration.  Our fields vary day to day.

Attitude plays a large part in the process as does our response to life and to life’s circumstances.  These are reflected in our vibrations and constantly expand into the world.  Once again, we will use the image of a wave on water and how it moves along on its own, affected by weather or climate (life circumstances) and passing vessels (information coming through and our reaction to others in our lives).  We experience the climate we live under (which is not in our control but how we continue our lives under such weather is our choice).  Life circumstances around us influence our lives whether we are aware of it or not.  Once we become aware of these influences, we can utilize the tide in such a way that we are in control of how we react to these transitions in our lives.

By channeling our focus in directions that add to the overall well-being of self and our immediate world, we create our energy field in these directions and emit whatever facet of ourselves we choose to.  By focusing on love and compassion and helping those around us, we feed our energy field of love and peace.  This radiates from our core.  It is also reflected in our surroundings and our environment.

Our energy field is a reflection of how we live our life, how we view our life and how we care for and aid those around us.  The further we move towards our gentle caring side and use our passion for the general good, the higher we raise our frequency.  We have to radiate at the level of source, which is pure love, to get the greatest results.  By making love the most important ingredient in our lives, the energy field expands.

Meditation and practising visualization will push us in our intended direction.  We will open doors to perception and understanding as we process our intentions first within and then outward as we become acquainted with our true purpose of life.  Nothing can be more important than the sharing of love (with ALL living things including Mother Earth).  With time, we will raise our vibrations on such a level that its waves of energy will be felt far and wide.  Others will become aware of our energy that is omitted from our core.

It does take time but with persistence and work, we can open the door to perception, understanding and truth.  Each of us is being called to this perpetual, conscious evolution.  Open up your heart and your mind.  Emit at your highest frequency.

DEFINING WHO YOU ARE

Do you consider yourself to be a unique individual?  Do you feel you are somehow different than most others?  This belief structure can make some people feel segregate from society and although in many ways we are all quite unique, we should have a deeper look at who we truly are.

In many ways each of us are different from those around us, but are we actually that different?  Looking at ourselves from a scientific perspective we all consist of the same physical composition.  We differ in body structure and appearance details but if we have a look under a microscope we all look the same.  So why is it that we believe ourselves to be different from others and why do some of us feel disassociated?

In a family tree, we are all brothers and sister if you look back far enough.  On a spiritual level we are all brothers and sisters born of our Source and by some it is assumed that we eventually link back up as one with Source when we move into the higher, final realms of evolution.  So defining who we are as an individual, or as a joint unit, seems to be somewhat of a challenge.

Perhaps it is only important to realize our own personal unique part in life’s process and our ongoing personal journey.  We all have our particular part to play in the process, but as we moves as an individual our energy initiates the movement of other energies on a global scale.  It could be symbolized with the waves on a lake.  As a boat passes by, it creates waves and although it may be minute, it eventually reaches the shoreline.

We are joined together as one in many ways and yet we are as individualistic as snowflakes.  We are brothers and sisters sharing this earthly journey joined by spirit in an evolving state of consciousness and in the evolution of mankind.  Our identity is linked and we move as a whole generating an overall effect in our immediate surroundings which also spreads into unknown areas of life.  We are joined in consciousness and evolving as a unit, separated only by the belief that we are individuals and unique unto ourselves.

You ARE unique.  You are special and an individual unto yourself.  However, you are joined to the masses at the same time especially by love and compassion.  These are our greatest attributes and by spreading love, forgiveness and compassion to our siblings through Source, we will manifest harmony and peace for all.  How can we want anything different, when each person we share this existence with is actually an extension of ourselves?

THE COMPOSITE CHART IN ASTROLOGY

The Composite chart is a chart prepared for two individuals for how they will interact as a couple, either through a romantic relationship or business partnership.  This chart can also be used to determine the union between any two individuals, even for a parent and child relationships as a Composite Charts defines any personal relationship between two individuals.

The chart is prepared using the birth chart of the two individuals involved and focusing on the midpoint between each planetary placement as well as the midpoint between the ascendants and midheavens. 

For example let’s say one individual has their Sun in Capricorn at 15 degrees and another individual has their Sun at 25 degrees Aquarius.  There are forty degrees between the two solar locations and dividing this in half you would come up with 20 degrees, making the midpoint 5 degrees Aquarius.  You would include the minutes as well as the degrees to come up with a midpoint system.  This is completed for the Moon’s midpoint, and all of the other planets midpoints, as well as the ascendant’s and midheaven’s.  Most astrological sites can provide you with this chart as long as you have the correct birth times for each individual involved.

Upon completion, you would have one chart which could be viewed as an auxiliary natal chart setting out a description of the union of these two individuals involved.  This chart describes the assets and the challenges that are apparent within the relationship.  It describes how the two interact as a couple internally as well as on an external level.  Much can be defined as to the overall condition of the relationship and how the two will mingle and interact as a whole.

Many couples commission this chart when beginning a meaningful relationship or starting a business.  It provides a comprehensive look at the overall compatibility between these individual and if there are deficiencies within the union that could be insurmountable.  There are always strengths and weaknesses within all horoscopes.  If the energies required are applied by both parties involved in a unified and appropriate fashion, this will promote a lasting and positive union that so many individuals seek.

Although this chart is very descriptive and definitive, as always, we have free will and if both parties are willing to make the compromises necessary within the union, the chances for survival and longevity will be greater than if one of the parties decides not to function on a level that the relationship needs to survive.  This description will identify such shortcomings and apparent roadblocks that can be met and conquered during the forming and maintaining of any meaningful relationship.  This chart also offers potential solutions for shortfalls within the union that once recognized can be faced head-on, challenged and then overcome, that is if both parties are willing to make adjustments for the betterment of the union.

Some relationships seems to have all of the right ingredients for a long and loving partnership or prosperous venture, while others seem to present the individuals with obstacles and challenges that will require a lot of hard work.

Investigate the potential between any two individuals and gain insight into the easy flow energy and the more difficult energies.  This chart will assist to alleviate friction or activate the potential that will enhance the relationship and produce the ultimate possible outcome.
