Your Chart Knows the Way

FULL MOON IN ARIES, SEPTEMBER, 2015

It is said that the New Moon is a time to set out goal and begin anew whereas the Full Moon Cycle is a time to manifest and bring closure.  Plant the seed in life during the new moon and harvest the rewards during the full moon. 

The moon is connected to our emotions and when there is a full moon our emotions are heightened or magnified.  If we are in an angry state, the full moon will amplify this emotion.  It is therefore important to prepare prior to the full moon to ensure that you have eliminated stress and anxiety through practices such as meditation or whatever other practice is effective for you.

This full moon will be in the sign of Aries which is a fire sign and all fire signs suggest action and moving in certain directions.  As you can imagine with the Full Moon in Aries and the eclipse which will occur on the 27^th of September (for those of us in Canada), action is the key word.  Whatever you have been working on, and this would be something personal, will now beginning to unfold and you will see the effects of any action that you have taken up until this point.

A full Moon in Aries represents assertiveness, drive, and suggests that we should take the initiative and move forward in an aggressive fashion in whatever area of life our Moon falls in.  Look at your transit chart to locate the house that the Moon current resides in.  We would also have to take into consideration the house axis as the opposite house will also be affected.  If for example if this eclipse falls in the fourth house, issues pertaining to the home and family as well as occupation will be highlighted.  It may be a time for some critical decision making in these areas.  Due to the tenth house, there may be public recognition or major family changes including a move or addition to the family, perhaps marriage.  The areas of life affected should be out in the open for others to see.  The tenth house is very public and new beginnings and changes will be quite upfront for others to see, while the fourth house is more of your private life and about security concerns or improvements for the family and home could be highlighted.  You may have to find a healthy balance between the home life and your occupation.

Moon in the sign of Aries deals with self-promotion and putting ourselves out into the public in some way.  Some may decide that this is time to finalize steps for plans that have been in the works to increase or expand business.  Expansion and a move in a positive direction may be indicated or if this individual has moved ahead without enough planning, they may now find that their venture is no longer viable and they may have to shut down or adjust their goals.

Moving ahead slowly is always advised when the Moon is in Aries, as there is a great desire to achieve and achieve right now in the moment.  Patience is often a lesson associated with Aries and if we decide to dismiss this virtue and the actions that were taken earlier might prove beneficial or they may be lacking in something that is important to our success due to the rush.  Take the necessary time to weigh things out.  When Aries is involved proceed with some caution although the opportunities for advancements are there.

The energies of a total Lunar eclipse often takes time to unfold and in some cases it can take up to 6 months.  Did you know that the new Moon will be in Aries in six months from now?  We will have come from now life harvesting in Aries to life seed planting again in Aries in March 2016. 

If you have planetary links or the critical degrees (Ascendant/Midheaven) linked, it will be interesting to see how this manifests; time will tell.  Check your chart to see if there are any other planetary links or house cusps on the 4 degree mark as they will also play a role in the unfolding of what takes place.  During the full moon we often see the results or at the very least a glimmer of things to come with respect to something that you may have been working on.

SUN IN LIBRA

The Sun moves into the sign of Libra today, the 24^th of September this year. 

Libra is a sign of justice and equality and many Libra people are very pronounced in these areas.  Fairness and upholding what is right is what this sign stands for.  The right way to live is important to most Libra people and it is not just focused on what comes their way in life; it is also reflected outward with their friends and even further into community, into culture and with the rights of mankind.  Justice first and fairness to all is the hallmark of this sign.

Libra’s ruling planet is Venus and the energy of Venus creates people who enjoy peace, are harmony seekers and usually very social.  They love to please and will always take the middle ground on any of life’s issue.  They will stand behind both parties not wishing to stir the pot by solely supporting one person’s point of view, even if they are privately swayed in another direction.  They will back each person separately and stand by each one.  If by chance they happen to revisit the same subject again when both parties are present, they would be the first to try to remove the attention away from them and their own personal stance.  Harmony is their ultimate goal in life and they will take whatever route necessary to best suits this purpose.

Libra is an air sign and most Libra people are intellectual by nature.  They enjoy communication although not confrontation as this rocks the boat.  Most are very likable and pleasant in their nature.  They are friendly, social and easy to talk with.  Their aim is co-operation just to keep the peace and harmony in life that they so emphatically need.

Their astrological symbol is the scales and this is how they what to live life.  Life has to be balanced and when the scales are out of balance, life can be chaotic and they become restless and stressed.  Libra is not a balanced sign as many would think.  It is a sign that requires balance and justice.

 

Because Libra is ruled by Venus, partnerships and love are important factors in life.  Very few Libra people feel complete until they have met the perfect mate.  It is said that when they are in public, they are very peace-loving and will not rock the boat, but in close personal relationships that they consider significant, they are not afraid to voice their opinion.  What they say matters and if it rocks the boat, so be it.  Many can actually be a little nit-picky when it comes to important partnerships in life.

When you look at the Sun sign, look also at the house where it is located in the birth chart and also where Venus by house placement is located when dealing with Libra.  This provides us with a clearer picture of how the Sun is manifested in the chart.  Look also at the aspects from other planets to the Sun and also how Venus is aspected n the natal chart as this will further identify the Libran personality traits.

THE WILL TO SUCCEED

How important is it for us to make a name for ourselves in the workplace or to have a reputation that instills a sense of confidence?  What does this mean to you?  When you work extra hard to achieve a goal, how does that feel? 

Do you try to mentally establish you own self-worth?  If so, how is this measured? 

No one is more important than the next person.  We all have worth and in the overall picture we are all equal.  Certainly, some individuals have minds that work extraordinarily well, filing information for easy access and great retention.  Other individuals are extremely sensitive to the needs of others and can do wonders working with others to assist them in learning their life’s lessons.    Some have management capabilities and work extremely well with others.  Others create wonderful works of art, from buildings to hairpins.  Some of us are writers, some clergy, some politicians, some bakers, some parents, some monks in solitude, some street people bringing a sense of love to their fellow citizen. 

For some reason, many, many years ago, someone, somewhere thought it necessary to put us all into categories and decided which ones were more deserving of better pay or deserving of greater acknowledgement or praise.

We all have our part to play in the overall scheme of things and our goal should be to do what we do best as best we can.  There is nothing wrong with goals in life and reaching these goals does provide a certain amount of self-satisfaction and provides a feeling of self-worth, even though our worth should never be in question.  We should strive to do the best job we can regardless of what it is we do, as there is a great feeling when our day is complete knowing that our life’s purpose today was well done.

Pushing ourselves ahead in earthy ways can also be satisfying but that satisfaction is normally a temporary state of happiness and in conclusion actually a distracting illusion.  If we closely look at the “why” behind this feeling of satisfaction, we normally find it is a product of the ego and any creation from ego is temporary in nature. 

Let’s move beyond the ego for a moment.  A sense of satisfaction from external accomplishments can still be wonderful although temporary, but just because it is temporary in nature, we should never forsake doing our best.  We should work at achieving and setting goals for ourselves in this earthly existence (for we are here to live), but perhaps we should place our concentrated efforts on lasting lessons.  Perhaps we need to look within with contentment to experience lasting happiness and a sense of real accomplishment.  Perhaps working on recognizing our true self and resolving internal struggles (mostly produced from ego) will provide lasting results.  Perhaps we need to open the door to perception and pay attention to our true needs and drives to live on a deeper more meaningful level.

These higher achievements provide satisfaction on a deeper level and certainly on a more significant level.  Allowing our true selves to bloom will enhance a feeling of completeness and an inner feeling of true joy.  The more we concentrate on our inner existence, the more we will feel complete and fulfilled – a lasting happiness. 

Set and strive for your goals in life for we are here to live a physical existence, but we should also pay particular attention to who we truly are within, to reach deep within to discover a true sense of self without judgement and open to each and every perplexities and rewards. 

Do what you do best.  Utilize your personal gifts.  Carry out every individual thing you do to the best of your ability.  Recognize your efforts for a job well done.  Understand that you are just as important as each of the glorified individuals that have walked and are walking this earth.  We all have our specific gifts.  Do not squander these gifts.  Let them shine!

SOLAR AND LUNAR ECLIPSES

We had a solar eclipse on September 13 and will have a lunar eclipse on September 27.  The upcoming lunar eclipse falls in the sign of Aries at 4 degrees and 40 minutes.  The recent solar eclipse was in the sign of Virgo at 20 degrees and 10 minutes.  These signs are significant because their energies and characteristics are what will be expressed. 

For example the recent solar eclipse in Virgo would affect the working environment, daily routines, health and diet and organization. 

The Lunar eclipse is in the sign of Aries suggesting inner confrontation, seeing the perceived you - both the thought positive and negative characteristics.  It will also initiate action into our view of self and help us to push forward in making changes so that we can move ahead in our spiritual journey.  The affects will be very personal

.

It is important to understand that these eclipses will initiate action.  Many believe that free choice is not always offered, although in some cases this may not be.  We may have control over the event but we will certainly have control over how we adapt to the changes which are often pushed into action during these periods. 

Eclipses often bring about unexpected change where we tend to break away from outdated or stagnant aspects of our lives.  The range of what this encompasses is very wide, but looking at what house the eclipse falls in within our natal chart (4 degrees Aries for the lunar eclipse) will provide us with information as to what area of our lives will be affected.

The timing of events to unfold will vary and can take up to six months before they are expressed in our life.  Once we understand the area of life is affected, we should not acted upon them for at least 1-2 weeks after the eclipse as this will allow the energies to settle somewhat. 

Carl Jung suggested that during these events we get a glimpse of what he termed “our shadow self”.  In other words we get glimpses of both the positive and negative traits of our personality and thereby we have an opportunity to rid ourselves of any unwanted traits.  It should be pointed out, however, that these traits that we have learned to identify with are ego generated so we have to view them from a non-ownership perspective.  This period could be termed as a moments of self-realization.

As mentioned, many fear the coming of eclipses, but once again we have to come to terms that fear is also ego generated.  Once we acknowledge ourselves or learn to identify points of self, we can make adjustments so that anything we view and term as negative can be understood, accepted and then converted into something positive.  Our inner guides will assist us during these times and will help us understand our true self, which in reality is our inner or higher self. 

Intuitively we know just what it is that we need.  If we learn to listen, we will hear.

This is a time of new beginnings, where flaws are revealed and a new chapter of life begins on some level of understanding, as well as possible changes taking hold in life.  Again, what no longer serves us, we need to let go of in order to assist our evolving story.  Re-evaluation of self will determine our next step to be taken.

WHO ARE WE?

In a recent post we have been speaking about ego interference in our lives and how we are not to identify with it.  ........Ego is separate from our true identity. 

Let’s take this a step further....we are not our thoughts at all.  Our thoughts are fleeting and do not define us.  So who and what are we?

If we are not ego and we are not our thoughts, how do we define ourselves?  We understand that we are spiritual beings living in a temporary earthly state where we are connected to this physical body.  We, the soul, will not die as the body does when we have finished our purpose here in this life.  So then we are the entity within that is quietly listening to the busy mind and all its contemplative processes.  We are the silent knowing behind the busy mind that is simply listening to the ruckus and continuous murmur of the mind’s steady ongoing reasoning. 

If we pay attention and draw our focus into the moment, we realize that there is something within that is listening.  Every now and again, we take notice of this silent awareness within.  This perfection, this energy, this being is who we truly are.  This is the spirit within and is ever present in the eternal moment.

When we focus on this inner being, we automatically are drawn into the moment and the ego is silenced.  The ego lives in the past and in the future and does not exist in the present.  Since the presence is actually all we truly are associated with, the ego does not exist all.  The mind is silenced when focused in the moment, although it will resurface at times when we recognize the quiet one within and which unfortunately again take us out of the moment.  This however is only temporary. 

There is a great stillness in the moment and a conscious awareness of all that surrounds us, all that is happening in the here and now and also an understanding of our connection with this.....the oneness of everything existing in the moment.  We can call this experience whatever we want....many call this peace and tranquility.  The feeling is very comfortable and complete, so we can also call it our Source, for this awareness is associated with all these things.

Once we realize who and what Source is, we will also understand that since we are part of this eternal moment, we must also be part of Source.  We are all one.  This is the cumulative self.  This is who we are, and we are found in the perpetual moment.
