THE MOON'S NODES AND ASPECTS (using transiting Uranus as an example)

There are two nodes in Astrology - the north and south nodes.  The north node is tied to your life’s direction and the purpose behind this life, while the south node defines a past life and what you need to stay away from during this life.  This does not suggest that you should steer clear of the South Node’s impact in your life only that you have come into this life to work towards manifesting the North Node energies defined by its sign position and house placement along with aspects from other planets or angles to the North Node.

The south node supplies you with valuable information that you have brought with you from a previous incarnation which you can utilize in this life.  These are the things or information in life that just seems to come very natural to us.  Falling back into the South Node’s energies indicated by its sign and house position may feel comfortable, but you have come to fulfill the purpose of the North Node position.  Throughout your life you will find that events push you in the direction of your North Node energies.

The planetary links to the North Node along with any angles that might be tied to the North Node are something that you need to bring forward in this life and learn to use them to your advantage.  The North Node is said to have similarities to the Sun and Jupiter while the South Node has connections to Saturn.

The planets and the aspects that link up to these two nodes should be treated in the same manner as any other planets’ energies in the Astrology chart.  The aspects are also treated as any other aspects in the chart.  The planetary energies tie in with the Nodes and emphasize what these energies imply.  For example, Mars tied to the South Node may indicate that in a previous life you were a fighter or someone with a vile temper or a leader who lead others through force.  The North Node tied to Mars may suggest that in this life you are to pursue your objectives with vigor and use your inherent strength to accomplish what you set out to do.  Mars would give you the impulse to address what the sign and house position of the North Node suggests.

When a transiting planet conjuncts the North Node and if  for example it were Uranus, this may be a time when you should follow the desire to break free from any type of restriction that has held you back and has stopped you from achieving what the North Node is suggesting.  This may happen on the spur of the moment and without warning.  It may push you in a direction that requires immediate decision making and the desire for something new and enterprising especially if the North Node is in the sign of Aries for example.

If Uranus were transiting your South Node, this would suggest that it is not the time to do these things and that you should weigh things out before making any commitment to change and follow a new life direction.  It warns of sudden decision that might hamper you later in life. Rash decision making would not be recommended.  You should take time to ponder your actions before making any moves regardless of the desire to move ahead in a new direction.   You could check out the house that your North Node or South Node are in to give you further information about what area of life is involved.  You could also check out which house your natal Uranus is in to add to the underlying information being provided to you through your chart.

In most cases, if you take the time suggested with the South Node (and remember the South Node has similarities to Saturn’s actions) you can make informed decisions rather than jumping, which is what Uranus would want from you. 

The North Node and Uranus however, would suggest that you take that giant step and move in that intended direction in your life, as the North Node is similar in its action to Jupiter and usually provides good fortune and positive outcomes.  You always need to look at the overall picture of what is happening in your chart before making any life changing decisions.

MOVING FORWARD INTO UNCHARTED TERRITORY

Life can run relatively smoothly and then seemingly out of nowhere, we are suddenly propelled into unknown territory.  Sometimes we are forced to leave a long term relationship and are removed from a comfortable situation.  Sometimes the breakup is unbearable and we feel as though moving into these uncharted waters is frightening and oh so foreign. 

It is important to allow the necessary time to become comfortable with these new experiences and to allow ourselves time to heal.  Even when we have decided to end the relationship, it can still be a challenging situation and the necessary decision puts us in a place that we would rather not be.  It is, however, very important to understand and accept that these changes are necessary on some level and even if it feels totally foreign, we will and do get used to our new situation as life begins to settle.

In some cases, we are forced into breaking away from more than just one relationship.  The break, many times also includes friends and family that we have made around the relationship.  We may try to maintain the friendships, some will be successful, others will not. 

Sometimes people come into our lives for only short periods and then are removed without warning or time for proper preparation.   These times can be troubling and the road ahead appears unclear.  It is common to fear the unknown but the road ahead can offer happiness like we have never known before.  Remember that before we can move forward into the promise of our future, we have to release ourselves from the past.  Letting go is essential to a new door opening and being able to venture forward.

Very few of us truly know what tomorrow will bring.  We control, however, how we move forward.  If we move forward anticipating disruptions, we will find disorder.  If we move forward anticipating a positive new adventure, we will find a constructive future.  What will you manufacture?  Pay close attention to your attitude moving forward and where your focus is found.

The road ahead can be a little intimidating but it is a path laid down for each individual specifically.  Stay open to your destiny.  Life has its challenging conditions but this is how we grow and expand as a person.   Allow life to unfold.  Remain open and maintain a positive attitude.  Trust in the process.  Bend when you need too, but be steadfast when it is necessary.

Full Moon in Taurus - October 27, 2015

FULL MOON IN TAURUS

What instinctual seeds did you plant on October 12 with the New Moon in Libra?

The energies of the  Harvest Full Moon or Hunters Full Moon is experienced today, October 27, 2015.

Are the seeds that were planted on the New Moon connected to this harvest taking place with this Full Moon in Taurus or will this Taurus Full Moon be used to purge? 

If you are using these energies to purge, be sure to purge what truly is no longer of use to you.  Do not allow the built up or prolonged pressures experienced lately or the energies of Taurus to push you to purge things that you will regret or miss later.

HOW DO YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE?

Do you live life in the moment, experiencing each and every moment and the intricacies contained within them? 

Do you judge the experience or simply live it?

YOUR FINANCES

Your financial state does not determine or reflect your state of being.  You are not defined by how well off you are or what material things you own.  Many get caught up in defining their self-worth by what they own, or how big their bank balance is and some look down upon themselves because of their distorted perception of their own self worth.  Our material worth has nothing to do with who we are in spirit.  There is a far bigger picture than our worth on paper.

If you have come into this life to become wealthy and gather material possessions, you should determine the reason that your soul may have chosen this life.  Part of the purpose may be to teach you lessons behind resources and possibly change your perception on riches.  You may also have determined before you came into this life that this was a perfect route to take to reach your objectives this time around possibly in the area of fellowship.  Finances or the lack thereof can play significant roles in our evolutionary quest, but these do not define us.

The more we believe that our sole purposes is monetary alignment and financial success and if our attitude is “I want more”, we will never be satisfied and will always be in a state of wanting.  There are many, although rich by definition, feel as though they are lacking in financial terms.  There are those with few material possessions that do not feel as though they are lacking and are quite happy living under the conditions that they do.  Financial success does not bring happiness and its rewards are nearly always a temporary state of being.  Our attitudes alone are what make us feel fulfilled and abundant.

Finances may be relevant with our perspective of living comfortably and there is nothing wrong with achieving success in life, but it should not become an obsession.  Money is not the root of all evil as we have been trained to think over centuries.  It is our perspective on money that may hurt us.  In the world of those that are truly “living”, finances are secondary.  When we pass from this world, we leave it all behind.  During life, funds can bring physical comfort and less worry as far as primary survival is concerned but do not be deluded into thinking that wealth brings happiness.  Those with few material possessions can experience true happiness just as easily as those with excessive material possessions.  If we place too much importance on the financial state of our lives, we will fail to see the natural beauty that surrounds us and the abundance at hand.  We will fail to experience “everyday living” that carries with it comfort on a whole different level of understanding.

For most of us, we have not come into this life to acquire material things just to pass away and let them go.  Seek out the deeper meanings behind your existence and let go of your concern for financial success.   This opens the door for abundance on many levels and an understanding that the true rewards in life are not of a monetary nature.

SUN IN SCORPIO

This post applies to those individuals that are born with their Sun in Scorpio and to a lesser degree those born with a Scorpio Ascendant.  In 2015, the Sun enters Scorpio on November 24. 

There are at least three different types of personalities of Scorpio people and as a result it is often a misunderstood sign.  Scorpio is often referred to or designated as the Scorpion whose character traits are often the ones that are less desirable.  We are going to touch on the Scorpion personality as well as the other personality traits of Scorpio. 

The Scorpion is known for its deception and its quality of harbouring past events and its need to get even.  Many do not trust the Scorpion.  They are particularly known for their sexual promiscuity and their sexual trickery or cheating capabilities.  They also have a very vengeful side and once crossed it is best to be on the lookout as they can be quite ruthless and obsessive with their plans to put things right.  You are best not to cross them and in some cases they can be plain spiteful and often very vindictive. 

Jealousy is also a strong character trait of the Scorpion character.  Although the Scorpion may feel that it is alright for them to have clandestine affairs, they would not take it lightly if their romantic partner were to play the same game.  It is rather one sided and although they may be quite aware that it is unethical to carry on this way, they may still feel entitled and have difficulties controlling their strong desires.

The eagle personalities on the other hand (the higher of the Scorpio personalities) has found their way past primal urges and because of their tendency to go deep are often found in circles involved in the mystical side of life.  They are true to the cause of self-exploration and seek out qualities within themselves that can not only benefit them but also aid others in their times of need.  They are quite loyal with their word as well as loyal to friends and lover.  Some seek spiritual enlightenment and are always ready to uncover their deepest and most mysterious character flaws and make dramatic changes and transformations to their character due to the planetary influence of Pluto.

There is also the Salamander personality.   Many Salamander personalities will carry traits of both the Eagle and the Scorpion.  Those that have found a way to rise above the Scorpion tendencies can have an altruistic nature. 

Most Scorpio individuals regardless of personality type have a need to go beneath the surface and dig deep for answers.  Because of this, they make great psychologists, pathologists and private investigators, along with surgeons and in some cases, they will be found working in the mines.   

Most Scorpio individuals are great at uncovering the truth and they often have a penetrating look that makes you feel as though they see past superficial surface and see right to the core.  This can be a little formidable for those that are overly sensitive as they may feel as though their privacy is being invaded.  It can also be quite alluring for those that have a want to uncover their inner tendencies and have nothing to hide. 

Most Scorpio individuals have an air of secrecy about them and you will have a difficult time uncovering the deeper facets of their personality.  They may even hide their true selves so as to remain a secret.  They often fascinate others.

Nearly all Scorpio individuals have a sensual appeal to them and many are aware of this quality but the eagle type does not abuse this trait.  They understand that sexuality is normal and the appeal that they have will not be used in a negative way. 

If you are looking for a stimulating individual, one who will be hard to decipher and one who is interested in uncovering the deeper meanings of life and the undercurrents of the psyche, a Scorpio individual is just who you are looking for.
