TRANSITING NORTH NODE CONJUNCT TRANSITING JUPITER

The transits of the North Node and Jupiter will be forming a conjunction in the sign of Virgo and will be having an impact on those that have a natal planet in Virgo at 15-25 degrees. The Conjunction takes place between mid-December 2015 and runs into mid-March 2016.  The strongest time will be in January and February 2016, when they will be conjunct at 22-23 degrees of Virgo.

If you have other natal planets at 15-25 degrees in other signs particularly forming a square, trine, opposition, or sextile to this Virgo conjunction, you will also be affected by the influence of this link in your chart.  The North Node acts in similar ways as Jupiter and is considered an alternate Jupiter on some levels of understanding.

Jupiter is known as the greater fortune and this conjunction especially if found in the second or eighth houses can indicate an increase in the finances, particularly so if this placement in your birth chart is well aspected by other planetary links.  Opportunities often arise in areas of finances and material rewards.  You may also be learning about this area of life and learning about your spending habits during this time.  You may, as a result, set up financial budgets.  It is a good time to get this area of life in order.

Although the aspect suggests the opportunity for extra income, you will also have to be careful about your spending, as often the money comes in and then moves out just as quickly.  Jupiter tends to expand things and can enhance indulgences and a carefree attitude to any area of life defined by the house placement.  You will have to watch for being too generous.

There is often an increase or greater interest in the area of religion, philosophy, and spiritual insight.  This is a great time to expand on these areas in your life.  If you are already involved in these types of activities, you may learn a great deal about the working of the universe during this time and if you are a beginner to these teachings, stay open and let the energies flow.  Much depends on which houses are involved but when it comes to mysticism and spirituality, the 4, 8 and 12 houses would be the ones that would hold the greatest promise of further education.

If the MC (midheaven) is involved, you may expand on opportunities within the working environment and perhaps be offered a higher position or a pay raise.  Once again, you will have to check the natal potential to see what might be in store.

There may also be desires for travel during this time, particularly visiting foreign land and far away destinations.  For those that are not in a position to travel, you may do so in the mind as continuing education on a more mystical level is often a by-product of this placement.  In the sign of Virgo, this might be a great time to get your life in order, putting things in their proper place internally first and then radiate outward into the world at large.

This is a very opportunistic aspect and we can all learn and grow from its influence even if we have challenging conditions within the birth chart.  Often the more challenging the birth chart (make sure you look at the North Node as well as Jupiter) the greater the potential for a rewarding experience that may open doors that were previously closed.  You may just have to work a little harder.

PHYSICAL WELL-BEING

It is said that everything stems from the heart.  Should we then look within our heart or emotions first when dealing with adverse experiences in life which have evolved into physical conditions or “dis-ease”?

In what ways could we change our lives or our perspectives on life to alter conditions now apparent in the physical body?  What can we do from a purely mental perspective to re-examine our lives?  What changes need to materialize to have a physical affect on our body? 

Are we happy?  Are we content?  What can we do to change the direction of our life if changes need to take place?  How will these changes affect those around us and what can we do from a personal perspective to make changes that not only make us feel better emotionally but also help those around us to find peace as well?

These are questions that we can certainly reflect on. 

If someone closely involved in our day to day lives is being beckoned to make changes yet they ignore these calls, it may be time to help them see what is required.  If they still resist then it may be time for us to do some house cleaning.  Those that are holding us back and creating conditions in our lives that are not in line with our journey cannot be allowed to stand in our way.  It is best to think of what we need to live a healthy, fulfilling life.  It is not self-centred or egotistical to care for our own needs.  We cannot fulfil our life’s journey if we have not cared for or taken care of our own needs.  Sometimes our journeys go in different directions. 

If we have allowed the disease to progress unchecked, we should never hesitate to seek professional help for guidance and healing.   By making conscious changes in our lives and with care to heal the disease, we will have the tools we need to heal and grow, if this is part of our life’s journey.

We are never at the mercy of life.  There are always avenues to pursue, but the first steps taken always come from within.  Ask your guides for assistance and programme your dreams to reveal any special points of interest that will help you along the way.  Remember you are never alone in physical terms and certainly never alone in spiritual terms.  There is always assistance available; all we need to do is ask but then we must also listen to the instructions that may come to us intuitively or through signs in our immediate environment.  Remember, nothing is co-incidence.

FULL MOON IN CANCER

On December 25, 2015, we will be experiencing our last Full Moon of the year. 

The Full Moon will be in Cancer, the natural sign of the Moon.  Cancer deals with nurturing and protection and mothering on a deep level.  Now is the time to harvest the seeds that you planted during the new Moon in Cancer (the last Cancer New Moon was July, 2015).  If you set goals related to your family, particularly your parents (especially your Mom), during this time, you may now see the fruits of your labours. 

The New Moon is a time to set your intentions (plant your seeds), while the Full Moon is a culmination point of those efforts (harvest time).  Even if you feel that you did not set in motion family concerns, the home environment including changes to your home, your children and any act of nurturing and caring, you undoubtedly did so on a subconscious level.  You may now be able to view these areas of life with more clarity and after careful review might recognize weakness or deficiencies within the family unit that you could change or alter so that the energies within the family circle flows more freely.

It is important to focus on what it is you need for yourself on a deep personal level.  It is very challenging to move forward in new directions of understanding for others before you actually do what needs to be done for yourself first.  Your energies have to line up with your intentions.  Once this has been accomplished, you, as an energy, can radiate outward into your environment.  Looking after your own needs is as important as looking after the needs of family and others. 

Since the Sun is in opposition to the Moon at the time of any Full Moon, the Full Moon is a time when you can also reflect on what is taking place in your occupation and in your life’s ambitions.  Are you doing what is necessary in your life to prepare for the future?  Have you built a solid foundation that will withstand the pressures of life down the road and most importantly are you content with your life’s condition and your goals?  These are areas to reflect on now.  If you have been true to your own personal journey, you will reap the rewards of your hard work and planning.

The next New Moon on January 9, 2016 (in Canada) will be in the sign of Capricorn and will be direct on January 10, 2016.  We can plant the seeds and begin to plan and build in terms of occupation and building on life’s structures under the Capricorn new Moon.   

For now we can take care of any family concerns and build on making contact with these family members more pleasing and more meaningful.  Enjoy this special time of year and the energies of this wonderful Cancer full moon.  Take care of your own needs to ensure that you are capable of take care of others.

REACHING OUT

If someone were standing right in front of you extending their hand for assistance, what would your response be?  How would you react and what could you do to help them in their time of need? 

If that person were vindictive in nature, would your actions for this person vary from your actions to assist someone who is loving or gentle?

When we are faced with individuals that have challenging characteristics, we need to be steadfast and true to our own personal journey.  We cannot back down because of a particular response or simply because part of us feels as though this individual does not deserve our assistance (This is judgement coming from ego).  If they are coming to us, there is a reason.  We must have something of significance to offer, even if their responses to live do not meet our expectations.

Advice somehow always seems to miss its mark.  Actions through example, however, speak volumes.  If we feel we must give advice, we should use a gentle approach.  Force creates friction.  The response to our actions is created by the receiver and is not ours to own.  Our ego has no place in the equation when we are offering our assistance.  If you do not like the response, send love and walk away.  Change and growth by someone else is their journey not ours.

Love and compassion will always be our best approach when we are offering a gentle reminder that things can get better.  The actual change must come from within those who see that they need change (even if it is simply a change of attitude). 

It is never co-incidence when someone is sent our way.  We can always offer assistance but we cannot make the changes or force others to accept our help. 

If we do our best in any given situation, we are being true to ourselves and our journey. 

We have control over our reaction to events in our lives and how we respond to those who share this journey with us. 

Control what you are suppose to and have faith that all else will happen as it should.

SUN IN CAPRICORN

In this post we are looking at the Sun in Capricorn.  Those born on the cusp of Capricorn/Sagittarius (you will have to go back to the birth chart for this information) will also have some Sagittarius traits.  The Sun has an orb of 16 degrees so you will have to see how many degrees into Capricorn (or actually any other sign of the zodiac depending on your cusp) to see the influence the preceding or subsequent sign has on defining your Sun sign characteristics.  The house placement as well as aspects to the positioning of your Sun will also have an impact on this very important solar link in your overall birth chart.  This being said, we will only talk in terms of the Sun being in the sign of Capricorn in your birth chart for this post. 

With the Sun in Capricorn at birth, you are a builder in terms of moving ahead in life pursuits.  Most Capricorns are very grounded and know precisely what steps are needed to move forward in life.  These pursuits are often based on material achievements particularly in building a solid foundation leading to success later in life.  Some reach their desired destination midway through life.  Others will reach this stage later in life, but one thing in common with Capricorns, the rise is slow but steady.  For Capricorn individuals, hard work and a steady approach is always the best route to reaching success.

Capricorn is concerned with things that matter and anything considered frivolous or of lessor importance does not hold their attention for long.  They reach for something that serves a purpose and has lasting qualities.  It is very important for the typical Capricorn that they are doing something worthwhile and significant in life.  They may not be like the Leo’s of the world (gaining recognition in ways that are known by everyone or standing out in the crowd) but recognition for a job well done even if it is performed behind the scenes is still important.  Success is earned and most Capricorns feel this way.  They will not take any short cuts or build on something that has a shaky structured.  They value the efforts taken by their predecessors and appreciate talent. They value other people’s opinions, but often in the end make their own decisions.

Many Capricorns are considered introverts and some even feel like they are alone in the world and suffer from loneliness.  They can be reserved and aloof in their nature and rarely show their true feelings.  Emotional responses at best are hidden and reticent, but this is not to say that they are emotionless.  They are far from it.  They just have trouble publicly displaying their emotional side.  If you can unearth this part of the typical Capricorn, you have done well.  Of course, much of these characteristics depend on the state and positioning of the Moon.  A Moon in one of the astrological water signs and with strong aspects will certainly do much to release these pent up emotions.

Capricorns are steadfast and very reliable and this is probably why they often succeed in life on one level or another. 

If you make a Capricorn your friend, they will stand by your side through thick and thin, but if you are unjust with them and hurt their sensitive feelings many Capricorns would be challenged to let go of this.  They hurt deeply and have a challenge bouncing back from adversity in life, especially any feelings associated with failure.  This would be a mountain to climb and this mountain would be ice covered, making any attempt to overcome this even more challenging.

Ask for advice or assistance and you will find a friend or colleague that rarely flounders.  They are almost as good at organizing lives as Virgo individuals, but whatever they build for others and for themselves will stand the test of time.
