MERCURY IN AQUARIUS

Mercury remained in retrograde until January 25, 2016 and now has turns direct.  Mercury is known as the planet of the mind and it defines our thinking process, our attention span and our ability to digest information and experience.  It has to do with how we communicate, exchange information and our ideas.

Mercury’s sign in our chart indicates what kind of information will stimulate our conceptual visualization.  It also shows what we tend to relate to in our immediate environment.  When Mercury is in Capricorn, we may find that there is time spent digesting ideas and information about our career or what we might want to do with our education.  This may relate directly to the working environment and we may find that our mind is occupied by thoughts about work.  This may have been particularly strong during Mercury’s retrograde cycle.  During that time, it would have been wise to digest information rather than act.  Our reactions to these thoughts and the way in which we process this information will be written in our birth chart, by the aspects to Mercury and its placement by house and sign.

When Mercury shifts into the sign of Aquarius in mid February, you may note that your concerns and intents tend to turn to more humanitarian concerns.  This will be particularly so if your Mercury happens to be in the sign of Aquarius or if transiting Mercury is somehow connected to Uranus, or located in the eleventh house in your chart.  Your thoughts may shift to relationships with groups of people and this would be very beneficial if these individuals are of like mind.  You may want to share your ideologies and find common ground on information that leans toward the occult, scientific information, computers and technology.  You may also find that your interest in Astrology increases, and you may want to find out more on the subject.

If Mercury transits to make contact with a planet in your birth chart or in the progressed chart, Mercury’s energies reflect the energies of any planet it contacts, just as a chameleon.  Mercury’s energy is stimulated by the contacting planet.  For example if the planet is Neptune, your idealism runs strong and mystical insight would be enhanced.  You will want to unearth the mysteries of life if it is well aspected.  If in a challenging aspect, you may have difficulties resolving problems or you may try to avoid the truth of some matter that you actually need to be uncover.

When Mercury is in Aquarius, you may have a stronger desire to stir up others and help them to move out of life conditions that have gone stagnant.  Aquarius wants to help others review their lives and to assist them in making changes that will help to foster growth on some level.  You may have an intellectual plan that ultimately will help them or help yourself move through conditions that no longer serve a significant purpose to the evolutionary process.

You may find that you are more intuitive especially if Mercury is somehow linked to Neptune, Uranus or Pluto, although each of these planets acts in different ways.  Pluto, for example, will make you dig deep within and search for answers sometimes causing psychological reflections over the matters that come to the surface.  To understand the influence of Mercury, you will have to dissect its natal potential.

LENDING A HELPING HAND

What does it cost to assists someone in need? 

How often have friends, family or associates given us assistance when we were in a bad way or needed their help, if even just a shoulder?  A few gentle words or a few minutes of your time can help lift someone.   An ear is a wonderful dose of positive medicine.  Often this is all that is needed and not difficult to do.

Sometimes the simple act of expressing your concern gives sufficient support to help those in need move toward to heal.  Nothing more is required.

That elderly lady coming out of the grocery store, imagine what it would mean to her to assist her with her cart to her vehicle.  It costs us nothing more than a couple of seconds of our time but to her it could spark a great feeling within and a feeling that someone cares.

That car flashing their lights at you to pull over into the right lane; did you every question what their urgency may be?  It may have been impatience but it also could have been they were trying to get to someone laying in a hospital bed breathing their last breathe.  What is the cost to us to pull over in the right lane to allow them passage? 

We never know the circumstances of other people’s lives.  Being kind and helping where help can be offered will certainly not worsen their lives.  Lending a helping hand under any condition acknowledges and honours them as a living breathing person.  We will never know how great of an impact our actions may have. 

If we were in their shoes, what would we appreciate under those circumstances?

MOTION AHEAD

Is it time to re-establish your momentum? 

Is it time to abandon thoughts that no longer serve a real purpose? 

Are you trapped in a philosophy that amplifies and focuses on discord which stifles your growth and progress and leaves you heavy hearted? 

We have the ability to step out of these conditions and to experience happiness and peace.  We deserve every ounce of happiness that we allow ourselves to experience, without limits.  By releasing any form of belief structure that holds us back, we are allowing happiness.  This is a time to recognize that we are the architects of our own destiny.

We can let go of anything that holds us back.  We can let go of any thought that cultivates sadness and shame.  We can let go of any thought that suggests that we will not succeed. 

We truly hold the key to our destiny.  If we are not on the path that we would like to see ourselves on, we can change our focus and change our journey.  

Accept the possibility that we deserve happiness.  Happiness is part of our journey.  It is not the destination.

We are perfect in every aspect for perfection is found within each and every one of us.  We are only held back by our perceptions and beliefs.  It is within our power to move in any direction, to take life and to mold it into whatever we want.  Simply believe...with your heart and your mind.  Live as thought our desires are already in place.

Start small to build your confidence.  Begin with something that you believe “might” be attainable, then set your sights on it and make it happen.  Now change your attitude from “might” to “undoubtedly”.  Over time and by applying this focus and these values, we will observe that shift and understand the truth that we are in control of manifesting within our life.  We will experience turning points and we will also have to fight past doubt.  By making the decision that we will only focus on positive affirmations and positive focus, we will create a positive outcome.  This does not mean that life will not present challenges, but if our focus is on the positive, we will see these challenges as building blocks not stumbling blocks. 

We are at the creation of our focus every step of the way.  Remind yourself that your focus is within your control.  Place your focus and evaluate your progress, not from where you have been, but from what potentially lies ahead.

FULL MOON IN LEO

The Full Moon will be in Leo at 3 degrees and 29 minutes on January 23, 2016 in our local area (Ontario) at 8:46 p.m.  The time and even the day of the Full Moon will vary depending on where you are located in the world.

During this Leo full moon, we will harvest the fruits of our labour that we planted in July, 2015 under the Leo New Moon at 18 degrees Leo.  At that time, we would have experienced a time when we could have stepped forward in new and uniquely creative ways.  This would have been a time when we could have set in motion something that we would have called our own, something that we could have engraved our own personal stamp on and owned.  As mentioned, this could have been on a creative project where we would have held a leadership role.  Self-promotion would have had a part of the process.  We could have taken some risks and it would not have been promised that we would have been successful, but this drive would have pushed us in the direction we wanted to go.

This could also reflect a personal relationship or a business partnership, although moving forward alone in business would have undoubtedly been the best chance for success.  If you decided on moving into a new relationship at this time, there may have been drama attached to it in some way.  Nothing slips by Leo without some sort of personal drama showing its face.

The results of your past actions are now available for harvest.  All of our hard work may now be paying off.  If we did not pursue the idea or relationship with vigor, the harvest will be less bountiful.  If our seeds were planted in connection with a personal relationship, we may now be experiencing a new level of commitment, or a finishing off of the relationship, depending on other aspects we have to Leo at 3 degrees in our Astrology chart.

Take a look at your own personal chart and decipher what it promises.  The natal chart always holds the energies.  The transits and progressions set the stage for what is taking place now. 

Continue to organize, make plans and to set things in motion.  There are always times that we have to make adjustments to all ventures in life.  We may have to have a clear plan as Neptune’s energies may still have influence over us, but we should follow our heart.  Our gut instincts may now pay off.  If we were diligent when we set things in motion earlier during the New Moon cycle, we can now reap the rewards of our labour.

Children and young people may also play a part in the process.  This is a time of play.  Enjoyment is enhanced for many and especially thrills seekers.  This now is a time of fun and entertainment, but we need to ensure that we keep the reigns in hand and be in control.  We should continue setting things in motion and if we do, we can be the energy behind the “roar”.  Enjoy the festivities as this is certainly part of the process.  This is a time for self-expression and play.  Enjoy the thrill of the moment.

MIXED FEELINGS

Are you unsure of where you stand on certain commitments that you have made to yourself or in life? 

Are you unsure of the direction life is taking you? 

Do you feel lost yet determined to set things right? 

It can be very challenging to stand firm under the pressures of life at times and your commitment to staying on course can sway during these disturbances.  Do not be dismayed if you find yourself off course every now and again.  You are allowed to teeter here and there and veer off your “anticipated” path.  Actually every step you take is always on path.

Some commitments are made under duress, some even under circumstance long since changed.  Some commitments just cannot be upheld. 

This does not make us a failure.  Some portions of the journey can be tough.  We are human and we will revert back to old ways or look back to old conditions.  As long as we catch ourselves and refocus, we can continue forward.  Many times in life, until we learn a specific lesson, the issue keeps resurfacing until the lesson has been learned.  Shoving an issue or hurdle under the carpet in the long run is not the easy solution.  Face life’s issues head on.  Deal with them immediate.  Only then can we put them behind us and continue our journey forward

If we are unsure of our life’s direction, we can spend time in silence, away from the hustle and bustle.  We may not always have a great “ahha” moment but we will receive clarity as to which way to turn.  Take baby steps forward.  We do not need to have the full path mapped out in front of us.  The course may already be set but it is each step that is the actual life experience not the final destination.  We have lessons to learn and will experience life through different channels but these lessons will be met regardless of what course we take.  The lessons are necessary for growth and they can be taught on many different levels of understanding.

As mentioned, we are never truly off track and although there will be times of utter confusion and deep feelings of being lost.  Life will shift and we will understand the reasons for these feelings.  Down the road a little further, one day, we may even understand the “why” behind certain events that at the time left us befuddled.  We are on an adventure with many twists and turns on the path, yet every experience regardless of the challenges involved or the ease of flow we experience takes us precisely where we are meant to be.  Have faith in the process and understand that we are always being guided.

Eventually, we will see our course even though today we feel lost.  We will again regain our momentum even though today we feel stuck.  We are never alone in our journey although we take each step ourselves. 

Stay true to your convictions and accept what life offers regardless of what that may be.  We are on our way and nothing will stop us from achieving our required goals even if we do not understand what they are today.  Peace accompanies us every step of the way.  Are we allowing ourselves to experience that peace?

SUN IN AQUARIUS

The Sun moves into the sign of Aquarius on the 21^st of January, 2016. 

The sign Aquarius is the natural ruler of the eleventh house.  The eleventh house deals with groups, inner goals and hopes and wishes.  The sign of Aquarius has to do with imparting knowledge often of a futuristic nature to the masses.  Although many will not be assigned to teach and communicate their innate knowledge to the masses, most Aquarians will most certainly have a skill at communicating ideas that are often considered unique, even eccentric, to those individuals that care to listen.

Aquarians would do well imparting their knowledge to or in groups of people who are of like mind and not only willing to listen to their approach to life, but also share their ideas.  Aquarians march to the beat of a different drummer and are quite aware of their uniqueness.  Fortunately, they are not ashamed of this.  They enjoy intellectual conversations dealing with matters related to the occult, psychic awareness and astrology to name just a few areas.  Astrology is actually ruled by the sign of Aquarius and the ruling planet is Uranus.

Their unconventional approach to life is said to be ahead of its time and the knowledge that these individuals impart could be compared to awakening.  This is the purpose of their ruling planet Uranus.  Uranus’ energies are to awaken people to a new understanding and to built on humanities principles. 

Aquarian individuals are independent thinkers and freedom of expression is high on their list of priorities.  They can be quite fixed in their beliefs and although they are altruistic in their nature, they are quite willing to stir up a life that has gone stagnant in order to awaken to something new. Aquarians have progression on their mind and will push others into thinking in broader terms and assist others to be led by their own ideas and follow their own dreams rather than being led by mainstream thinking.

Many Aquarians have difficulty expressing their emotional side; some are viewed as being rather aloof and carefree.  They are quite content in being alone, although they do need people in their lives.  In general Aquarius individuals are quite well liked and have an understanding of the varying journeys that others take.  They are always eager to learn something new.  Many Aquarians do not do well with compromise, and fairness and kindness are hallmarks of this sign.  They are truth seekers and will take any road in order to find it, inviting others along for the ride.

Most Aquarians are friendly, outgoing and enjoy adventure.  There is a need for personal freedom and if they are chastised by others and not given their personal space, they can become moody and distant.  Freedom of action is a requirement. 

Aquarians make good friends and they will never cross you.  In general they are dependable although somewhat absent minded.  If you make plans with them, you had better make sure you remind them a day or two ahead as they are quite likely to forget. 

Aquarians are students of humanitarian principles and will treat everyone with respect and equality.  Their key phrase is “I know” and pouring out the waters of knowledge to the world is their symbol. 

Aquarians have plenty of love to give and are ready to give to the masses.  They truly want the world to be a better place and will do their part to make it this way.  Many actually have a shy side and some are insecure, although this is often a part of an Aquarian that is seldom revealed.  If they open up to you and express this quality, you can be sure they trust you and are open to suggestion.  In general, however, they are quite self-sufficient and self-reliant although they need company.  A solitary life is not appealing but time spent alone is still a requirement.

It is important to understand and remember that when deciphering a horoscope, the Sun Sign is only one part of the puzzle although an important part.  This is why some individuals do not feel as though their Sun sign suits them very well.
