New Moon in Leo

The New Moon will be at 10 degrees Leo today, August 2, 2016. 

As with all New Moon phases, the Sun and Moon are in conjunction and with this particular New Moon the Moon and Sun are also in trine to Transiting Saturn. 

A New Moon is a time for beginnings and in the sign of Leo this will be a time when you can take a leading role with moving towards a direction that not only enhances your creative potential (particularly if this New Moon is found in the fifth house), but also provides an aggressive instinctual push with reaching your objectives.

If you have had an idea or have been putting together a plan that has the potential for growth on some level, (whether this be on a personal level, through a business proposition or with the purpose of reaching a goal of any kind) this combination (especially so with Saturn providing stability and purpose) can be quite rewarding when the Full Moon in Leo reaches its culmination point in about six months’ time.

Saturn, although in trine to this conjunction of the Moon and Sun, does suggest that you take your time with these objectives and also asks you to make sure the foundation for your plans or goals is built on solid ground.  Saturn will make sure that you do the groundwork or will at least propose that you take this route so that the opportunities that are in place will have the framework for success and a prosperous outcomes.  Once again, this can be on a personal level of achievement or perhaps a business proposal.

It is wise to have a look at your natal chart and see if you have other planets making aspects to this conjunction (as well as the Transiting Saturn).  This will help you understand what areas of life are involved as well as whether you will have challenges in reaching your goals or if the transition will run smoothly.  You will have the potential for greater success in reaching your objectives if for example you have Jupiter or Venus as part of the equation and particularly so if they are in fortunate aspects to this configuration. 

It is important to always look at the natal potential in your chart when reviewing your potential for easy success or hard work.  This is not to say that a challenging natal aspect has little chance of succeeding, only that you may have to work extra hard to reach these goals and aspirations work.

If, for example, the MC is involved, this could suggest opportunities with your profession, perhaps recognition for your hard work and advancement of some kind.  If the DC is involved perhaps this will be a time for marriage or a proposal of such, or the relationship becomes more involved and has implications of longevity. 

Once again much depends on the overall condition of these areas in your birth chart.  If you are not overly acquainted or familiar with these ideas, the preparation of a chart by a reputable Astrologer is recommended.  Remember Astrology points the way, but you are always in the driver’s seat in life and you are the one that plans the route you will take.  Let’s chart the way.

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT NATAL PLUTO

Pluto’s energies in Astrology are always suggestive of change.  It brings about some transformation in life, change that usually have been trying to reach your attention for some time. 

Saturn is quite contrary to Pluto.  Saturn resists change and adheres to what is known and comfortable.

As you can imagine, these two energies (Pluto and Saturn) can be quite problematic.  Pluto is about evolutionary change and suppressing these needed changes can cause havoc in life.  It is beyond the normal ranges of change that Pluto is asking for and in many cases it first appears in the subconscious and then comes to the surface for your acknowledgement and then causes change in your outer world.

The suppression of Pluto’s energies can actually become unsafe, as these energies need to be released.  You are much better off dealing with what stands before you and assisting the change than you are trying to keep things as they are or to ignore the needed change.  Disruption and even violent outbursts of energy can be the result of quashing or ignoring these energies.  You need to focus on bringing about the change in your life that is being suggested or something will make it happen through force.  Forceful changes are aggressive and disruptive. 

Often after much deliberation, you will find that the final changes that you decided upon were inevitable after all and although it may take some adjustment to adapt to these new avenues of expression, in the end they are just what the doctor ordered.  Pluto brings about development and progress often after some struggle and the recognition of what needs to take place in your life.  What takes place in your life now will have ramifications at a later date often when Saturn squares this position in 7 years and again when it opposes it in 14 years.

Sometimes the changes that take place have to do with finances or the structure of your life.  Potentially your work may be involved.  These areas of life will become a focal point although much will depend on where Saturn is transiting in your chart (house position).  The house position will be the area of life that is being affected.  You can also look at which cusp is being ruled by Saturn in your chart (which house cusp has Capricorn on it or contained within it).  This will also provide you with further information and assist you in defining how things might manifest.  Have a look at this conjunction to see if there are other planets that are in aspect as well.  This too will also determine whether the change is an easy one and how the other energies will affect the overall transition taking place in your life.  Remember whatever planets form aspects to your natal Pluto will also receive an aspect from transiting Saturn.

The defining order of the day will be one that needs alignment and together these powerful planets can have a profound effect on your life.  Do not avoid the inevitable as resisting change is futile.  Also, most times the change that will be required now is nowhere near in intensity as the later challenging manifestations that will occur if change is not made willingly as the aspect intensifies in its expression if it must be forced.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE ASPECTING NATAL VENUS, PART III

We are continuing our look at Neptune aspecting Venus from our previous posts on July 25 and 27, 2016.

When transiting Neptune makes an aspect to Venus make sure your blinders are off.  Keep them out of reach as you will be tempted to put them on.  You can fall in love with love and dream about the perfect union with such great intensity that what you see may just be a creation of your imagination.  You could be under the spell of love and fall for an individual that appears to be the perfect individual on a spiritual level.  You may even idealize that person and feel very connected almost on some profound out-of-this-world level.  Neptune tends to colour what is right there in front of us and can create an unrealistic approach to love.

When the aspect is a powerful one such as a conjunction, square or opposition, we may have a challenging time with our lover.  We may wonder if this is love or not and may not see things clearly.  It is best to wait until the transit as well as the progressed aspects are finished before we make any rash decisions.  That perfect partner may not be who we think they are and on the flip side, the partner we are planning on leaving may be the perfect one for us.  We need to put on our reality glasses before we do anything.

If Neptune goes retrograde over this period, there may have several times during the next year or so when these energies influence our lives.  This can be a very tedious time and we will have to be patient to let the time pass so we can think under more clear conditions. 

Enjoy the dreamy side of the connection and learn to decipher the difference between reality and fiction.  Most of us can probably rely more on our intuition and spiritual insight and even our dreams, more so than trying to rationalize the situation at hand during this aspect. 

The mystical side of life often reveals doorways that we had not experienced up until this time.  Many find this a time of awakening in one way or another and if inclined towards the mystical side of things, this is the perfect time to let our imaginations run wild, but within reason.  The potential to find the true meaning of love is quite possible during this transit or conjunction, but wait until the fog clears before you take the plunge into uncharted territory.

WHEN STRUGGLES ARE ABUNDANT

Do your struggles never seem to cease? 

If it feels as though your back is against the wall and you are not sure which way to turn, remember the darkest moment is always just before the dawn.  Life’s circumstances always rebound and although the course we take is not always the course we had hoped for, our true journey will transform us and teach us the lessons that we will need in our future. 

You may ask “how long do I have to wait?” when you feel as though you are at the end of my ropes. 

Truly believe that there is nothing in this life that you are not strong enough to or capable of overcoming unless, of course, you give up and you allow your attitude to sink below the positive points of your current learning experience.  If you actually want to succeed, giving up in reality is not an option.  If you can recognize the constant nagging voice that keeps you in your darkest moments, and know it for what it truly is, ego, than you can stop identifying with it and its message and in turn, recognize it for what it is.

Nothing can hurt us more in life than the relentless ego and people get so lost in its deceitful message, they believe it to be true and to be a part of the self.  When we allow ourselves to bask in the sorrows of ego’s message, we completely identify with its message and making it our own.  It is then that we become blind and numb to the truth.  We become overwhelmed because we forget how to turn it off and are bombarded with ego’s constant defiling message that drowns hope. 

Recognize negativity.  Put ego in its proper place.  Channel your thoughts in a different direction.  No matter how hard, force yourself to see the positive in each and every event you experience.  In the beginning, it will be hard to find that one small positive spark but if you look deep enough, even in the most bleak moment, there is a shred of light. 

There will be moments for all of us that we are faced with life changing decisions.  All change can be difficult if we do not let go of the passed to move into our future.  Our positive decisions can open doors of opportunities unlike we have ever know.   It is frightening to release our grip on the past even if the things and people of our past no longer serves us but we do have the strength to let go so that we can reach forward to grasp our future. 

Have faith in the process and have faith in yourself.  Know that we are expanding and growing even during the most uncomfortable circumstances.  Our attitude forms a large portion of our reality.  If we focus on those things that we do not enjoy or like, our life will feel as though it is heavy and stagnant.  If we focus on the blessings and joys in our life, life will feel expansive and joyful.  When we change our attitude, we change our circumstances.  These changes may require action on our part.  If we are positive, we will have faith in ourselves and in the events in our life. 

Change is inevitable.  If we fight it, we create discord.  We will survive and be stronger and more resilient after each life lesson.  Stay true to yourself, not your ego.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE IN ASPECT TO NATAL VENUS, PART II

We began our look at transiting Neptune aspecting Natal Venus on July 25, 2016. 

If Neptune in square to Venus in the natal chart, this is often suggestive of an individual that displays the more susceptible side of this combination and they will be the one that is infatuated with romance and they could place their loved one on a pedestal.  They see love through rose coloured glasses and either over idealize their partner or are overly suspicious of them.  In some way, their view on love and romance is tainted. 

Individuals with the opposition are often susceptible to being used and they could over-identifying with the love that surrounds them. 

Those individuals who have a trine and sextile will find that the people they are attracted to and those that are attracted to them will be reliable in their response.  They will have a much easier time when it comes to love.  They can be more realistic in their approach and may attract the perfect partner and discover a deep and true spiritual connection. 

As with the trine and sextile between Neptune and Venue, this is also the case with the more challenging aspects but they may go through several relationships before the person of their dreams becomes a reality. 

Many with this combination are drawn to people with challenging life conditions.  They may take on the role of the saviour for others or look for others to take on that role in their lives.

The house position of Neptune as well as Venus will define how this will connect in a birth chart.  The area of life, whether it be through communication with loved ones especially siblings (3^rd) or through family concerns and route causes (4^th) or in personal relationships romantic or otherwise (1^st and 5^th), and how Neptune and Venus will express themselves will be reflected by the house position.  Neptune along with Cancer is often considered the nurturer of the zodiac, and with Venus in Pisces or connections between these two planetary energies a love for others is very evident.  They love to look after and take care of others as much as they like others to do this for them.

Neptune aspecting Venus can also be found in the charts of creative individuals.  Actors, musicians and artists will often have this connection strong in their charts.  It is also found with dancers, interior design, and in general people that have a way of creating beautiful things.  They can be lovers of the fine things in life.  Their inspiration becomes enhanced when surrounded by water.  A cottage by the lake would be ideal and they could use their vivid imagination to create things of beauty.

HINTS ON CONNECTING WITH YOUR GUIDES, PART II

We are continuing our post on meditation from July 21, 2016.

We cannot stress how important it is to stay open to the possibility that you can get to experience great meditations.   All too often people listen to their ego and they come to believe that they could not possibly have a meaningful contact with their guides and higher self.  Ego may suggest that you are not evolved enough or not spiritual enough or simply not able.  Understand that any thoughts that say it can’t be done are ego generated.  Everyone has the ability; it is a natural born ability for us all. 

When attempting to contact a higher source, create the feeling that you are waiting for someone to knock on the door or for someone to walk in.  You know they are coming and you are waiting on them to enter or make themselves known to you.  This anticipation opens the door and allows the energies to enter your awareness.

Many of your guides will operate on different frequencies.  Some may have a difficult time communicating, while others are quite adept at communication.  Once you open the door, they enter freely and easier.  Know that you are in search of someone who is God centred and highly evolved.  Make this known.  Ask for the pure of heart and for guidance that will further your pure evolution.  Above all else, do not let fear (ego generated) to enter into the experience.  This will halt everything.  Do not align yourself with ego and its fear base focus.  It is not you and you should not identify with it.

It may take time but eventually you will begin to recognize when you guides are in your presence.  It can be a feeling, it may be a message.  Their energies can often be felt once you recognize them.  Many people ignore the signs and messages pass them by without any or little notice. 

These experiences are called super-natural.  Think of these words and you will understand that it is a normal, natural process that many have dismissed.  As children, we were told that we should stop our imagination, our exploration, our innocence, our openness.  Now as adults, the time is here once again to re-open these doors to natural perception.

You can connect with your angels, your guides, your higher self and your family members that have passed on simply by realizing and accepting that they are with you.  Persevere and be steadfast in your approach regardless of how long it takes, or how much you feel stands in the way. 

You will find what you are looking for.  Be open to the subtle energies for they are gentle, compassionate and loving.  These guides stand by you and are always ready to assist you any time you ask.
