TRANSITING PLUTO CONJUNCT THE MOON IN ASTROLOGY

This transit of Pluto to the natal Moon suggests intense emotional interaction and change in your life. This is a powerful connection and deals with your psychological ability to deal with emotional interactions either with others (people in your immediate environment) or inner dialogue, with the intent of bringing whatever needs to surface out into the open. This is a “feeling” aspect and the energies are not subtle in any way, although the energies may have been hidden up until the conjunction aspect.

The energies of Pluto will bring things to the surface and makes you deal with them. In many cases the things brought to the surface are not easy to digest. If your life has been relatively stable and steady, this period could bring about a state of unrest when transformations are apparent and you will have to adapt to them.

The areas of life that are being affected are determined by the house transiting Pluto is moving through as well as the natal house placement of Pluto. This transit will also affect any area of life determined by others natal aspects to the Moon as these areas are connected and will affect the overall current conditions. If the Natal Moon has many challenging natal aspects then this can be an emotionally charged time in your life. It might be very upsetting and you may find yourself being emotionally abused or mishandled during this time. If the natal Moon is aspected by softer influences, the transformation will not be as challenging.

Sometimes the issues that come to the surface are from early life that were swept under the carpet and have now come to the surface or are discovered by others. Sometimes this can be a private time and the events may only involve you and the other individual involved. There is great potential for transformations on many levels during this time and especially so with family and loved ones. Any relationships that are based on emotional response can be energized during this time.

The Moon is often representative of the home and you may find that you move at this time or you make changes to your residence in a big way. These changes could be structural or a major improvement or alteration occurs within the family residence.

This aspect may be a little upsetting but you should know that the changes that are taking hold in your life are reflective of changes taking place on an internal level. Life manifests according to your needs and the energy you put into different areas of your life. This aspect will be the preliminary steps required to move you in a direction that is necessary from an inner perspective. Do not fight the process. Be sure to come along willingly for the ride. It will be a much more gentle transition that way.

FOSTERING HOPE

There are many living in this world under conditions that could be considered less than appropriate.  Many struggle through life wondering if there will ever be reprieve from their deplorable conditions.  They see no clear way out of these situations and they have very little hope, if any.  We, although some do tend to have lives riddled with struggles, usually find ways to cope with these hardships.  Some seek refuge from outside sources, while others find their way through making the best of the little they have.

Many of us cannot begin to image having to live under such appalling conditions.  Imagine for a moment living with an addiction to drugs or alcohol.  Image living a life so wrapped up in these addictions that you have to beg on the streets because your additions have taken away your ability to hold a job.  Imagine that no one cares whether you live or die.

Not all street people are there because of additions.  Imagine, through no fault of your own, not being able to afford your next meal.  Imagine losing your job and as a result, losing your home. 

The next time you see someone who is living on the streets, approach them without judgement.  Can you offer them a few kind words?  Can you offer them a portion of your lunch?  Can you take them to a restaurant and buy them a meal?  Could you offer them as little as your change for coffee?  Could you offer them a blanket or a coat?

Can you try to reflect on what their situation is actually like?  Now for a moment reflect on how perfect your life truly is.

Giving without judgement is a challenge for most of us and it is hard not to become weighted down with judgement.  Some of us through our judgements walk away and loose the opportunity to help those most in need.  Is it possible next time that instead of walking away, we offer something even if that something is only a smile or a kind word?  This small gesture may be immeasurable to those that suffer in desolation.  We never know where these individuals have come from in life and even where they are going.  Our kindness might make a miserable day a little brighter.  Your donation, although it possible that it might go to drugs or alcohol, may also be used for a feeding or lodging.  You just do not know.

You can provide that little flicker of hope that someone needs.  You might even be the “answer” for that day.  How must is the cost to you to lend a hand?  These individuals are our brothers and sisters.  They deserve our kindness, our concern, our compassion. 

How blessed are we in our lives?  We can share our blessings.  In these types of cases, it is not what you think but what you do that truly matters but do not hesitate to send your blessing too!

THE QUINTILE - A MINOR ASPECT

The Quintile is considered a minor aspect in Astrology.  When two planets or significant points are in Quintile with one another, the angle is 72 degrees and for the Bi-Quintile the degree is 144.  We will be focusing on the Quintile in this post.  This aspect has a very tight orb of influence and you should give it no more than one degree of separation. (70-74 degrees) 

The Quintile is an aspect linked to inspiration, talent on a very individual level and creativity.  This talent is considered to be God-given and is not necessarily a learned art.  It is often unique to the individual and the creative style of the recipient is distinctive and sets them apart from the rest.  It is said that the Quintile has a resemblance of the energies of Mercury and is linked with the mind and thought process.  There is uniqueness in the work of these individuals and they often pursue their distinctive style relentlessly.  It is as if they are obsessive and there is a need to master their particular technique.

The talent is uncommon and in most cases it is not something that can be learned from sources outside of self.  Perhaps those that possess the talents linked to the Quintile are being guided through spirit.  Many of us have a Quintile or two in our charts as this is common, but to have more than three and to have them tightly configured is not common.  You have to have at least three to have this as an influence in your chart.  If the progressed chart has many of these Quintiles and Bi-Quintiles it could be a talent that is being brought to the surface, although it should be in the birth chart first, as this is a blueprint for the life of the individual.

Those that have this God-given creative talent may use their inborn knowledge or talent to assist others.  The expression of the Quintile has to be delineated through the planets involved and their energies, the signs that these planets are located in and the houses where they fall.  You can also look to the natal chart and others linking aspects that might add to the flavour of these unique aspects.  Any planet that forms a tight aspect to one of the planets or points in this configuration would add to the overall picture of the energies and offer some insight into the possible ramifications and outlet for the talents to be released.

The need for these individuals to understand their inborn traits is immense and there is an obsessive quality linked to uncovering their full potential.  This intense search can become a life-long passion and they will not stop short of complete understanding and full use of the talent in question.  They have an obsessive need to learn it completely.  This will be their prime objective.  Their search for perfecting and understanding this talent will intensify as time passes.

If you as a parent have been made aware of an emphasis in the chart of your child and are offered understanding into what area of life it is accentuated in, it is highly suggested that you do your best to help your child uncover these abilities and never create hurdles for these talents or obscure tendencies from reaching their maturation. These are unique individuals and have something important to offer to the world around them. These individuals should be allowed to express themselves in whatever unique fashion that is comfortable to them.

BLACK MOON IN LIBRA

The second full moon within one month is called a blue moon.  The second new moon which falls within the same month is called a black moon. 

The New Moon in the Toronto, Ontario area will fall on September 30 at 8:13 p.m. EDT and is 8 degrees 15 minutes Libra.  Depending on your time zone, it can arrive as late as mid morning on October 1, 2016. 

The new moon is the beginning of a new cycle.  This is the time for new beginnings and the aspects during this new moon cycle are suggesting the time is right to work on your current or a new relationship.    The keywords here are “work on”.  Do not expect life to drop the perfect relationship into your lap.  All good things take work and now is the time to plant the seeds of focus and to expend the energy needed to take your current relationship to the next level or if you are ready to start a new relationship to plant and nurture the seeds to get out there and set your plan in motion. 

Mars may create a little volatility but this too can be brought into balance. 

Libra is social.  It strives for harmony and wants to find balance in life.  Let’s strive for balance by focusing on our emotions with this new moon cycle.  The new Moon is conjunct Jupiter.  Although short lived, this aspect serves to expand these capabilities.  We have a wonderful opportunity at our fingertips but it will be fleeting.  Do not waste this opportunity.

GIFT TO HEAL

It would seem that many of us have been brought into this life to work as healers, some as traditional health care workers such as a doctor or nurse and some as energy workers using hands-on healing modalities (Reiki, EFT, The Bars, etc.).  Some are gifted counselors and therapists and some bring with them psychic abilities and healing qualities brought forward from past lives or God-given talents.  Some use the gift of herbs, plants and nutrition to assist healing and keep the body and mind strong.  Some of us heal through simple gestures and kind words, and this form of healing should never be belittled or considered minor in any way.

There are the few who feel that they have no gift to embrace and nothing to offer.  If you feel this way, review the chatter of ego to rid doubt and maintain a positive mental focus.  We all have our gifts and special talents, and not one of these gifts outweighs any other.  We are all here to help others and to gain in insight and knowledge by practice and sharing our gifts as well as practicing self-healing.  Through selfless healing we not only help others, we are also helping ourselves.

Each of us can aid and lessen in the suffering that is around us using whatever gifts we have been provided.  Many individuals around us struggle (silently and alone).  We can break through this cloak of desolation, fear, pain.....through very simple acts of kindness.

No kind act is inconsequential and anything we do in a positive manner helps to raise the vibration of our existence and these positive waves ripple far beyond our reach. 

Currently, it feels as though we are in the midst of a transition.  Can we not lessen the burden of others by utilizing our personal gifts?  These gifts are meant to shine and be shared.  A gift is no longer a gift if it is locked away for safekeeping.  Humanity exists as one whole unit.  What we do for others, we also do for ourselves.  If we raise the energies of humanity, we are raising our own vibration.

PLUTO DIRECT, SEPTEMBER 26, 2016

Pluto went retrograde on April 18, 2016 when it was in Capricorn at 17 ½ degrees.  It went direct once again on the September 26, 2016 and when it went direct is was almost 15 degrees. 

Pluto is in retrograde for approximately 150 days over the span of one year.  Pluto’s energies are very powerful and its influence begins as a subtle push and often ends with dynamic actions and transformations that often change things forever.  What once was, no longer prevails!

Pluto is defined by its power to raise or provoke matters to the surface and orchestrates action into whatever area of life is being focused on.  Pluto conjunct the Sun is the most powerful of these interactions in the horoscope.  Pluto moves forward approximately one degree per year as a result of it speed of travel and its retrograde motion.

Pluto, when direct, is power and mastery.  It leads!  Pluto in retrograde becomes what could be referred to as a follower.  Pluto’s energies reflect inner strength and the ability to go deep within and at times dig up unwanted matters that actually need to surface.  Pluto calls for these matters and the emotions attached to them to go through whatever it takes to make them work for you regardless of how intrusive its action might be at the moment.  Sacrifice and correct now to reap the benefits in the future.

Pluto leads to what could be referred to as an internal confrontation and uses its energies to force change.  Its energies push you to let go of things that no longer serve a purpose.  When direct, Pluto forces these issues and makes us act.  When in retrograde, often we are undergoing this process subliminally and we make decisions on an internal level which we can put into play when Pluto moves into direct motion once again.

Those individuals that are highly sensitive to the energies around them can feel Pluto’s energies while in retrograde as much as 5 degrees approaching and 2 to 3 degrees separating.  However, in general the most powerful period of Pluto’s influence will be when it is in a 2 degree approaching orb, becoming more powerful until it becomes direct at 0 degrees.

Pluto is highly influential when it is in conjunction or in any other major aspect with another planet.  It is never in retrograde when in conjunction with the Sun, but it is always in retrograde when it is in opposition.  It can be retrograde or direct when aspecting any other planet although its retrograde and direct motion to outer planets does not happen very often because of their slow speed of movement.

Remember that Pluto’s effects are related to power--sometimes power struggles, ego confrontation and sometimes the ability to lead the masses.  If Pluto was in any aspect to any other planets during its retrograde movement, it may now again join up and make these aspects again.  In many cases, the retrograde and direct cycle can affect a given planet three times before the planets or angles finally move out of orb and no longer have an influence.

When deciphering Pluto’s influence in your chart, check to see which house it is transiting, which planets or angles it is making aspects to and also where Pluto resides in your birth chart.  The house position represents the area of life being affected and the planetary energies will be highly affected by Pluto’s energies in passing.  The more challenged Pluto is during transit and the more challenged it is in the natal chart, the greater the chance of disruption on a very influential scale in your life.  The more aspects it makes, the more powerful the influence will be.  This also has affect when Pluto is forming positive aspects in your chart.  Even when the aspects are favourable, the residue from its connections still has some challenging ramification, but its delivery is more subtle and you can work your way through things in a much more gentle nature.

Review how Pluto is affecting your chart and see how it plays out especially if it makes a direct aspect to a natal planet. 

Have an open mind and be ready for change.  Understand that the whole picture will be revealed over time.  Sometimes it takes up to two years before you truly understand what took place as a result of Pluto’s influence.  Patience will be a valuable lesson during this period.   Remember these influences were needed and there will be benefits when all is said and done.
