THE ABSENCE OF SPECIFIC ASPECTS IN THE BIRTH CHART

Planets in the chart represent energies which are released through the houses in which the planets are located.  The houses represent the areas of life that will be affected by this energy. 

When major aspects are missing in the birth chart, minor aspects can help to alleviate the missing energies which would otherwise be available if major aspects were in the chart.  When there are no sextiles or trines in a chart then quintiles, semi-sextiles and even noviles can help overcome these shortages.  When there is a lack of squares or oppositions, the semi-square and in many cases the inconjunct will help to offset this lack of energy.  There will, however, have to be several of these minor aspects to compensate for the major aspects that are missing.

Those that are lacking in conjunctions (which bring emphasis into the area of life the touch) have a challenging time focusing their energies, particularly when they are working on a project.  They have a tendency to become scattered and need a goal or purpose to focus their attention on.  Follow through is very important and this can be a challenge as they may lose interest or be swayed in another direction before completing the task at hand.

Sextiles speaks of opportunities that come into life either through self-initiation or by life seemingly pointing us in the right direction.  They also stimulate mental activity and bring creative forces to the forefront.  With a lack of sextiles, many find that they have to actively pursue intellectual activities and find ways unique to them to communicate these abilities.  Expressing themselves freely through communication will create useful actions that can lead to accomplishments in life.  They need to talk to others in order to recognize opportunities coming into their life.

Squares tend to create difficulties and put stumbling blocks in the way so that we have to push ourselves and in turn, builds strength, endurance and nurture a belief in our own abilities to push through adversity in our lives.  Those that are lacking in squares tend to take the easy path rather than push through hardship for the purpose of growth.  When confronted with crisis, these individuals tend to have a difficult time adjusting or moving through the challenge.  They actually have to push themselves and find ways to overcome the adversity that stands in their way.  In turn when using this approach, they are able to face the challenging conditions that often come our way.

When trines are absent in a chart, these people tend to be faced with a lot of challenging conditions in life and use a lot of energy trying to adjust to these conditions and/or to repair the damage that sometimes occurs.  They use great energy during these periods often leaving them feeling worn out.  They need to go at life a little easier and find ways to relax and go with the flow even when life seems to throw hurtles their way.  Meditation and learning to move through life in a more temperate manner will do wonders for these individuals.

Oppositions always suggest that there are others who have an influence in the equation at hand.  When there is a lack of oppositions in the horoscope, these people are often quite in touch with themselves and they are comfortable meeting their own needs.  Sometimes these individuals become overly self-reliant and need to open the door so that others people have an impact in their learning process.  Expanding their horizons by allowing others to assist in this process will widen their personal scope on most everything in life.  They should welcome a fresh look and a fresh idea.  There are times when others help us develop into ourselves and those lacking Oppositions would benefit from this and not have such a limited perspective on who they think they are.

LIVING WITH NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

In this post we are not focusing on those that struggling with depression.   We are focusing on those individuals that truly believe that mankind is heading for destruction, that famine will eventually affect all of mankind, that there is truly no hope for reversing climate change and the list goes on.  We are looking at those individuals that truly believe that there is no hope and that they are only being realistic. 

We so not deny that is seems as though our world is moving in the wrong direction and if we continue on this path the outcomes would not be one of choice.  I am suggesting, however, that those caught up in negativity, to please stop for just a moment and ask yourself, “How has this attitude and belief structure actually helped you in your daily life?”  How has this attitude been beneficial this far in life?  To what end does it serve? 

Negativity breeds negativity and when we defend our stance on what is consider reality, this negative potential is a seed that germinates in our minds.  Our expectations in life, which mold our reality whether we believe this or not, become our focus. 

Those of us with the conscious belief that thoughts slowly manifest our reality will intentionally alter our thought patterns when we are confronted with negativity even if it appears to be accurate.  Through this process of thinking and focus, we draw more positive energy into our lives.

When spending time thinking about something we hate, we will be faced with this energy repeated....on TV, in life events, etc.  We focus and then we are bombarded with whatever concept we are focused on which in turn affects our emotional response. 

There have been studies on individuals dealing with cancer and there are reports that attitude plays a major part in healing process and in any hope to overcome this disease.  Think about the word “disease.  What does dis-ease imply? 

We are not suggesting that you change your focus to avoid the reality of a situation; however, pay attention to your focus in life.  Try focusing on all of the positive energies and events in your life.  How can it hurt?  We are not asking that you hide your head in the sand.  We recognize the condition of our world.  Do not run with it however.  Focus and promote anything which is positive into your immediate environment.  Spread that vibration.  When is the best time to begin such a positive practices?  Well I guess that is up to you personally.

TRANSITING URANUS TRINE VENUS

This transit of Uranus heralds the potential start of new and exciting relationships.  This aspect can be associated with a fascinating and unique love relationship, where you will find that the person you are drawn to is quite different from the character traits that you are more accustomed too.  You are seeking freedom of self-expression and also someone to share this with.  Now could be a perfect time for beginning such relationships.

Under the more harsh aspects of Uranus to Venus, these relationships may be short term and these people come to implement some needed change for you.  Often these individuals leave a marked influence in your life. 

However with the trine (a more easy flow aspect), the potential for longer lasting relationships is heightened and some of these may even turn into viable and serious relationships and/or partnerships.  It may begin as a friendship and then go deeper, as you seem to have interests (which may be considered uncommon) that you share.  This is what makes the relationship exciting and new.  Love relationships can certainly flourish under this aspect.

When it comes to long standing relationships whether they be a love relationship or a close and caring friend, this transit will make things new again.  Anything that has gone stale has the potential for renewal, and you can make changes that can be exciting and spontaneous. 

Uranus is impulsive and often brings the unexpected, so be ready for anything.  You can probably lower your guard a little although the rest of the chart has to be taken into consideration as well to be sure of the strength of this aspect.  This aspect often promises new and unusual relationships of importance.  Life is anything but boring during this time, and you will leave this aspect feeling fresh, new and revitalized again, especially if you have been stagnated in your love relationship or with personal friendships.

If Venus is found in the second house and is well aspected especially by the Sun, Jupiter and even Pluto, the finances may change for the better.  The flow of money may increase and is subject to change.  Luck may even follow you around.  Please note however, in order for a chance of winnings through the lottery, you would have to have significant factors in the natal chart offering this potential.  Remember, the natal chart tells the life’s story, and transits and progressions stimulate that potential.

You may also find that you are drawn to spending a little more freely.  Watch for this as overspending can become a problem, especially if Jupiter has harsh aspects connected to this one.  You may feel very lucky and things seem to be going your way, and you may feel comfortable with overspending.  Do not be pulled in by this thinking.  You will have to keep a clear head under any condition regarding the finances, and love and romance.  Life flows well however and things seem just about perfect.

TRANSITING SATURN CONJUNCT NEPTUNE

For those born between 1980 and 1984, there is a conjunction between transiting Saturn and natal Neptune.  These individuals were born with Neptune in the sign of Sagittarius from 20 to 29 degrees.  Those born as early as 1971-1980 would have already finished this conjunction, although those born towards the end of 1980 may still be feeling these energies at work in their lives.

Saturn will remain in Sagittarius until the end of 2017, so we will look at this conjunction from a Sagittarius point of view.  It should be noted however, that some of this information that will be posted applies to any conjunction between Saturn and Neptune regardless of the sign your Neptune was in at the time of your birth.

Sagittarius’ energies has a focus on seeing the bigger picture and it teaches us about collective principles, such as being up righteous, honest, generous and the universal truths.  Sagittarius is about higher learning and teachings based on these principles.  Saturn will enforce study and collective learning because of Neptune’s influence as well as lessons that teach us about reality and the art of selflessness.  When this transit has completed its connection, you should be focused more in a direction where spirituality will be taught and challenged, with the aim to help you to see what is real and concrete in your life.

Saturn does not work overly well with most planets and much depends on the condition of Saturn in your natal chart (challenging aspect or positive aspects).  How it manifests will depend on these conditions.  In some cases this combination can produce somewhat undesirable moods as your outlook can be gloomy or tainted during this transit.  Confusion and self-doubt are often by-products of this, as your confidence can be low and you can become uncertain about what it taking place in your life. 

Reality can be contaminated by what you are thinking, what you are taking in and you may find some things upsetting.  This could be termed as a reality check transit, where you will have to define what in your life is worth hanging on to.  You will be forced to realize what you have manufactured through your imagination or through your misjudgements in life.  What needs to be challenged?  The value in this transit is that it will instill inner security and help us to learn to rely on our own resources after we have swept away the unneeded debris.

The material world may not be held in as high of an important as it has been in the past, and we may replace many of our goals for material gain into goals that hold much greater relevance in our lives at this time.  Our view is subject to change and we may find that we wish to take in as much as we can about the spiritual side of life and gain insight into this area.  We will be very in tune with our inner requirements and material concerns just do not seem to hold true importance.  We need something more and this is what may draw us to the spiritual side of life. 

This may not come easy as there are often times when we discover that what we deemed important in the past seems pointless and irrelevant.  We search for something deeper and self-discovery may be a big part of the process.  This may be challenging at times because we might not like what we see initially, but we also understand that before we can rid ourselves of these qualities or issues, we have to realize that they are there.  It is best to move slow and realize that some of our views are a little cloudy right now.  Making changes is okay as long as we do not go overboard.  In some cases, it is best to be the viewer rather than the doer, at least until we get a clearer picture.  Once we come out the other side of all this uncertainty, life could be quite different and as will we.  This can be a great growth period after some struggles.  

Remember to enjoy the ride regardless of what is taking place.  Our attitude can make this stressful or it can make this an easy ride.  Life is always a learning process.

WALK YOUR OWN ROAD

So you believe that you are a little bit different than most other people?  How does that make you feel?  Is this due to your belief structures?  Is it because you never totally fit in during your school years?  Do you feel as though you are unique in some way and separate from others?  Is your path different in its unfolding than most anyone else?

What is considered normal in today’s society?  Are we all not different yet the same at the same time?  We all live and then one day will pass from this existence.  We are all born into these lives and as an evolved individual, we know that we are all the same.  If we view ourselves as different, how will we ever understand the concept of oneness?

We understand that if we hurt our brothers and sisters in this world, we also hurt ourselves in one way or another.  We also understand that those characteristics we see in others that we do not like are either a part of our own characteristic makeup or we fear what we see, in some way. 

Yes…. we each all walk our own path through life, but are our paths really that different?  If we look at this question from an internal point of view, we know that we are all spiritual beings currently occupying a physical body and have come into this life to fulfill our life’s experience requirements.  Again, I ask, how different are we really?

We walk our own path and learn in our own way but, we are all connected through our brotherhood… sisterhood…. humanhood.  As mentioned earlier, what we do to others we do to ourselves.  So it must be that what we do for others, we do for ourselves as well. 

Walk your road with confidence and dignity.  Learn your own private lessons through life’s experience.  Share your life with those that matter (who doesn’t matter?).  Share your life with those that (on the surface) do not seem to matter, because everyone matters.  We all move together.

If you do not like what you see in your immediate surroundings, make creative changes so that what you see is pleasing.  Much of this is created through action and through our thought process. 

Love the road you walk and share it with everyone you meet.  This path was built to be shared and so were you!

TRANSITING URANUS SEXTILE NATAL SATURN

Uranus’ energies speak of freedom of expression and growth through innovative techniques.  This can be in scientific ways where the use of new technology and computers can create more structure in your life, due to the influence of Saturn.  Uranus wants to break free of restrictions and anything that may be holding you back, but concrete decision making is what Saturn’s energies will offer.

If this aspect pertains to your relationships, you may seek new ways of communication although you will do this in organized ways so that there is little chance of disruption.  You may want to make creative changes with your children, if applicable, where you may mix your styles of discipline and add a little more room for them to explore their lives.  You will still want some organization in the process but you may seek to let them take their own steps with perhaps a little less restraint from you.  You might be recognizing that they are becoming of age where you have to loosen up the reigns a little.  This is a great time to do this, especially if you have given little or no leeway in the past.  You may now find that they are rebelling more than you like.

Life requires some structure but life also needs growth.  Sextiles always suggest opportunities to make creative changes.  If this involves your occupation, you may find that your superiors seem to notice your past efforts, and you may even be rewarded with an offer for promotion or at least acknowledgement for all your hard work.   The new techniques that we discussed earlier may prove very beneficial in the work place.  You may be able to keep the work flow going without any hitches or find new ways to bring more precision into the working environment.  This will be favourably received.

This is a very positive aspect and the worst thing to do is to not allow these new innovative ideas to come to the surface.  Do not remain in a rut or stagnated.  Make some changes.  It might just be for the best. 

Saturn does seek security and stability but sometimes life stagnates because of this.  Now is the time to move forward with your ideas and promote your cause.  Your ideologies may need some structure and you can’t go out and jump at the first prospect that comes your way.  This is not advisable, but if you give these ideas some thought and they appear that they might make some areas of life easier or may create new possibilities, than perhaps you should move ahead. 

This is a favourable position for these two planets, and you can use their energies to serve not only other people’s causes but yours as well.
