WHEN YOU WAKE UP TOMORROW

As soon as you wake in the morning, program your mind to be positive as that which you put in place in the morning follows you throughout the day.  If you get up in the morning expecting a challenging day then that is what you will experience.  What you place your expectations on is what will manifest into your day and over time into your everyday.

If you get up in the morning and start with a thought such as, ”My day is beginning and what a blessing it is going to be.  This is another chance to set things in motion that will bring happiness and contentment to my life” you have started the new day’s journey on a positive expectation.  It may sound absurd but it is a good starting point.  You may experience a few unexpected intrusions during the day but your mind set is programmed to move above and beyond these. 

Negative reactions to life events are ego interference.  We are not our ego and we do not have to listen to its negativity and ignorance.  Let it babble without owning the words.  The key word is “believe” and over time if you are persistent and appreciate all the little things in life, you will experience gratitude in all experiences in life.  Life will be life.  It will never be perfect if we feel it will not be.  Little interferences do not need to hold you back or tie you down.  The choices are yours.  Do you want to be happy or do you want to be frustrated and irritated?

It is beneficial to programme yourself at night as well, just before you go to sleep.  Say a few words of inspiration and review the blessings of the past day.  Give thanks for the day even if it was a tough one, because you recognize that even the most challenging day have much to offer. 

You can also remember your dreams by programming yourself in this same way.  Bit by bit you will start to recall your dreams and they will provide you with assistance through riddles and recognition of where you are in this moment of progress.  Remind yourself of the benefits behind everything and follow through with positive expectations.

It may take some time to get things going, but over time if you are a diligent study, life will change for the positive.  It will begin to get a little easier and you will allow yourself to experience more and more happiness along the way.  You will notice these experiences even in the smallest of ways. 

To re-enforce the changes as they may be gradual, write down the good things that happened to you and let go of the hard lessons unless you can turn them around and find the positive behind what took place (which you can if you look deep enough).  When you can find the positive benefits, write them down too. 

You alone make the decisions of how you will respond to life and each of its events.  Do you want to be happy and filled with gratitude?  Do you want to be upset and feel that life is unfair?  The choice is yours.

APPLYING AND SEPARATING ASPECTS IN THE NATAL CHART

There are many different types of aspects in a Birth or Natal Chart and their movement plays a part in their delineation. 

There are applying aspects (planets moving together to form an aspect), separating aspects (planets moving away from one another) and stationary aspects (planets that have been in retrograde motion and are now motionless before they turn direct or move forward).  Today we are going to review the applying and separating aspects in the Natal Chart.

All planets, whether retrograde or direct in the birth chart, will either be forming an aspect with another planet or separating from aspect to another planet.  The closer to being the exact degree of the aspect the planets or angles are making, the stronger their influence will be in our lives.  There are some planets that at different points in time make no aspects, although this is rare.  If they are not making major aspects (sextile, trine, conjunction, inconjunct, square or opposition) they are very powerful in the natal chart.  We will be discussing this at a later date as well.

Many Astrologers believe that a separating aspect deals with past events, or if you like, finished business.  These aspects show the energies of things that have already been dealt with and will eventually fade over time.  Some Astrologers theorize that the acknowledgement and correction took place before birth and that we have already made adjustments to whatever lesson the two planets involve were teaching through their energies.  The degrees that separate the planets describe how powerful the aspect is or was in the chart.  The closer the degrees between the two planets (direct aspect) the more powerful the lesson.  It is also theorized that perhaps this close aspect was one of the last lessons or events that was set in motion in a previous lifetime. 

Astrologers understand this significance and will define its intensity and help delineate the meaning of any particular influence in the Birth Chart.  When planets are applying, it is understood that the faster moving planet is moving towards the slower moving planet and suggested unfinished business that will have to be rectified during the course of this lifetime.  Once again the closer the aspect, the more apparent and pressing the energies of the planets involved.  We have come into this life to learn, to address the apparent issues indicated and come to terms with whatever the planets’ and aspects’ energies are suggesting.

The applying aspects become stronger as time passes.  They will intensify and push us in directions that will assist in learning whatever the energies suggest.  These conditions are dealt with after birth.  As a result, applying aspects are suggestive of future endeavours that should be dealt with.  Transiting planets (the current movement of the planets compared to the natal position of the planets) that touch on these planetary links can intensify the birth condition and push us towards resolution. 

This is not to say that all aspects between planets are challenging; far from it.  You have to approach the planets involved and decipher how well they work together and what aspects are involved before making a judgement call on how the energies will affect you.  It should also be understood that a tight square or opposition in the birth chart has been set in motion in this life for us to overcome and could therefore be considered challenging but these challenging aspects are advantageous in the long run and force us to make adjustments that in turn enhance development.  Without challenging conditions in the birth chart (and there are charts that are very easy flowing with many trines and sextiles) the life lessons offer little towards growth and achievement in life.  It is the challenging aspects that motivate us forward and challenge us to push for resolution.   

Remember the tighter the aspect the more significant its influence in our lives.  When deciphering a chart it is very important to take this into consideration.  For example a conjunction between Mars and Pluto is a very strong aspect, but if they are separating from one another and are out by 8 degrees, an aspect of let’s say Venus conjunct the Sun, (which is a much softer aspect) which is applying and only out by 23 minutes, will have a far greater influence than the aspect between Mars and Pluto.

HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

Honesty and integrity are the hallmarks of an honourable person.  Without truth, we fail not only ourselves but we also fail others. 

There are many, especially young children, who watch us and pay heed to how we live our lives.  What kind of example are we setting? 

What we teach by example is especially influential to young influential minds.  The examples we show could be embraced and made their own.  It is imperative to recognize the role that we play in other people’s lives, especially with our youth.

It is never enough to teach through words.  What we teach must be a part of us.  Have a close, honest look.  Are the qualities that you are trying to teach practices by you?

What defines “you”?  How do you view yourself? 

Don’t expect to be perfect for we are human.  Be sure to review the positive qualities as well as the ones that you judge as negative.

Self love is important in the development of all people.  Do you think it is necessary to be perfect before you can truly love yourself?  Our qualities do not define who we are.  Many of our qualities are learned over time.  They are habits.  Habits can be changed so love yourself not matter what your habits are. 

You will be the greatest teacher if you can pass on this lesson.  We will never learn to love others if we cannot first love ourselves.

THE GRAND TRINE

The Grand Trine is a relatively common configuration.  A grand trine configuration can be created in any of the elements - Water, Fire, Air and Earth.  This configuration consists of three planets or significant points (Midheaven, Ascendant) all linked together in trine to one another, separated each by 120 degrees.  You can allow an orb of 8 degrees when determining if a trine is part of the larger grand trine configuration.  For example you may have the Sun at 20 degrees Cancer, the Moon at 16 degrees Scorpio and the Ascendant at 23 degrees Pisces.  This would be considered a Grand Water Trine.

The strength of the energies is increased the closer these trines are to being direct.  For example if all these planets and points are within 1-3 degrees in separation, the trine becomes a strong influence in the life of the individual concerned.  The weakening of a Grand Trine happens when one of the planets or points is in a different element than the other two.  For example the Sun in Cancer, the Moon in Scorpio and the rising sign in Aries.  These configurations would make a triangle in the natal or birth chart.

The positive influences of the Grand Trine include free energy flow which in turn assists us in gaining benefits and also inherent good luck seems to follow individuals with grand trines, particularly when the Grand Trine is activated through transit or progression.  These individuals seem to have more opportunities than most others and they attract good fortune and opportunities into their lives easily in areas related to the element the Grand Trine is in.  For example a person with a tight Grand Earth Trine, especially if it connected to the Midheaven or Ascendant and Venus or Jupiter, will have more opportunities to move ahead in their life endeavours related to finances, business and occupation.

Grand Trines, however, also have a negative connotation to them (as with everything there are two sides) because the energies flow so well, the individual can lose their motivation and become lazy.  These individuals could refuse to take on challenges.  Some become trapped in self-sufficiency.  Those individuals that are not using these energies become stuck and often feel as though they are not going anywhere in life.  Some become too self-sufficient.  Someone with a Grand Water Trine can have such a strong emotional foundation that even when confronted with emotional trauma, they may not reach out to others for assistance and can become engulfed with their own emotions and have great difficulty moving beyond any trauma.  Some become closed in the element the Grand Trine is located and become, as Astrologer Noel Tyl calls them, a “Closed circuits of self-sufficiency.”

People with Grand Trines are very motivated in the element the Trine is in, but when confronted with life’s difficulties they often are not comfortable with these issues and have difficulties with them.  Grand Trines work very well, most of the time but when a challenging condition appears, these individuals are not used to this energy, (unless they have many challenging aspects within their birth chart) and are not sure how to handle stress and hard lessons in an appropriate manner.

When deciphering the Grand Trine, you will have to take into consideration which element the Grand Trine is in and also the planets and houses affiliated with this energy.  Often one of the Planets in the configuration is linked strongly to another planet in the configuration by aspect, especially by square or opposition.  If so, that planet will be the motivating factor behind this Grand Trine.  This often becomes the pivotal point of expression and can be used as an inspiring point which initiates action to the Grand Trine and the area of life it resonates with.

Utilize the energies of a grand trine if you have one in your natal chart but do not become too self reliant.  Other can also assist in our growth and help us to move forward in our endeavours.

TRANSITING PLUTO CONJUNCT NATAL MARS

Before we go into deciphering this transit of Pluto to Mars, please check if you have a natal aspect between these two planets, check if you have other transits aspecting your natal Mars and check which house is involved.  The planets that are natally joined with Mars will all play a part in the unfolding potential behind these two energies.

The dynamics of these two planetary energies can be quite forceful and also very volatile.  As a result, it is important to check the overall picture in your chart.  If there are aspects in the chart indicating some other forces playing a role in this conjunction and they are favourable then the energies released may not be as tense.

Pluto and Mars together, when well aspected by other indicators, can be a time of gathering or reaching your goals and recognizing your abilities and using them for a push forward in life.  There are powerful forces at work and the energy levels are activated.  There will be a strong drive towards dominance in whatever areas of life that is involved, (the area of life is found in their house placement).  If for example these planets are found occupying the first house, you may be driven to succeed in personal matters although you may find that others become involved and they may also exert their influence in the situation.  If the seventh house is the area of influence, this aspect may not work overly well when it comes to your marriage or business partnership.  You may even have to watch out for enemies attempting to work against you in some way.  Struggles and disruptions are common and ego disputes are often the result.

Because the energies are so powerful, you will have to make sure that you find ways to shift this drive into areas that will benefit the situation.  Undercover work and solving or resolving issues can work well during this time.  Pluto’s energies are about transformation and often after careful study and digging up material that helps promote the transformation, change will surface.  The only problem with Mars being attached to these energies is that these problems can become dangerous situations and aggressive action can be a result if the energies are misdirected.  In extreme cases the potential for violence and potent arguments can erupt and cause dangerous situations, but once again only in extreme situations.

Do not be too hasty, as compulsive actions are often sparked by this conjunction.  It is advisable to stay clear of any conditions or situations that could eventually lead to disruption and violence.  Watch yourself and do not take any unnecessary chances.  The careless operation of motor vehicles is especially not advisable during this time.  Watch for anger and then the desire to leave the scene and drive away upset.  If at all possible, remain or calm down before operating motor vehicles or operating heavy machinery or when using sharp tools.

Use the energies of this transit to perform hard and tedious tasks and push yourself ahead especially when Pluto and Mars are in Capricorn.  You could excel in your occupation and receive reward for you perseverance and dominating drive, as long as you work with others and allow them to have their say.  Domination coming from both sides is quite possible during this transit.  Stand your ground but do not be pushy.

OUR BELIEFS & THEIR INHERENT TRUTH

It is within our capacity to create our perfect world.  First we must start within and then when we are familiar with our abilities to create, then we can use this tool in our daily living.  We can allow the perfect world to spread outward.  We are constantly building our futures through our expectations which we are putting into motion today and each and every day.  Tomorrow is an accumulation of all that we expect and what we believe is possible.  It is a result of where we put our energies.

It stems from deep within when we focus, believe, contemplate on varying possibilities and we stay with these thoughts.  We constantly filter out thoughts that we deem irrational or unworthy of our concentration.  Over time the beliefs we hold near and dear begin to manifest and it does not matter what these beliefs are as long as we believe and focus.  We can eventually and gradually make them a reality. 

Quite often many of our thoughts and expectations will not manifest exactly as we thought they would, even when we are consciously focusing on what we wish to manifest.  Something, however, along the same line of thought will eventually be created.  It begins from within and then materializes into our external world and usually, these things that materialize are exactly what we needed (possibly not exactly as we had envisioned).

If we find that we are not pleased with what our world appears to be, then it is time to examine where exactly our focus is?  We build on thoughts and the universe manifests and it does not analyse what we ask for; it just provides us with more.  This is why being thankful for all that life brings is so very important.  We cannot rid ourselves of things that we do not like by ignoring them.  To ignore actually gives strength because it takes focus to ignore.  If we give thanks for even the hard lessons in life and truly appreciate the valuable lessons that we have learned, we fill our life with gratitude.  If you have interaction with someone who treats you poorly, do not focus on their shortcomings.  These shortcomings are not yours to own.  Respect their lessons in life, appreciate that these lessons are not yours to learn and send them on their way with love and respect.  Everyone is doing the best that they can.

If you do find yourself slipping back into old habits and the thoughts that you catch are less than ideal, review your life to remind yourself of the blessings that are present.  Focus on all that you have right down to your freedom, your health, running water, a warm place to lay your head, a job, a meal and the list goes on.  Each of us may not have all of these but all of us have at least one of these.  A nudging voice within may argue that this sounds like fiction.  Prove that voice wrong.  Put these suggestions into practice, for a month, six months or a year.  After that time tell me that this is fiction.  You have nothing to lose and perhaps everything to gain. 

When it is said your life is in your hands, this is what is meant.  You do have control of your thoughts, of your focus and of your attitude.  We build our life through these, gradually over time.  Place your thoughts and your expectations where they can do the best work.  It is in your hand.  What focus and attitude do you choose?
