NEVER GIVE UP

Periodically throughout our life’s journey there will be times when it seems like everything is coming at us.  It seems that no matter which way we turn challenging conditions come out of nowhere. 

These are tests of our beliefs, our resolve and our commitment.  If these cannot be challenged, how can they be forth having?  If we can find solace in these, they are real and worthy of our commitment.

There may be times when events and emotions feel too difficult, and we may want to let go or run from these complications.  We understand the process and even though we believe that good things are just around the next corner, we may feel as though we do not have enough determination to make it though.  Part of us tells us to push our way through and another part says to give in or let go. 

Letting go is not giving in.  It takes faith to let go and allow.  If we have done all we can do and there seems to be no reprieve, then letting go and letting God/Source/Higher Energy (call this whatever is comfortable for us) is always an option.  There are some individuals who completely live their lives this way recognizing that life happens the way it does for a reason and we are not at the mercy of life, although it appears this way.  We have to let go to connect with our higher relationships which includes the one within.

This is not a weakness.  The leap of faith takes strength.  Reaching out and recognizing our connection with source is a valuable lesson.

 

Life surely does take us down many different roads; some are very difficult to navigate.  At times we run up against what appears to be dead ends or unscalable walls.  When the wall is too high to climb, we can find ways to tear it down or be lifted over.  We should not be afraid or ashamed to ask for help but if we do, we must be open to the answers that come our way.  The answers may not always be what we may be expecting or want to hear.

THE PLUTO IN VIRGO GENERATION

If you were born between mid-1957 to mid-1972, you are the Pluto in Virgo generation, give or take a few months either side of this time frame, as Pluto went retrograde during this period (appearing to move backwards in the heavens). 

This generation may be somewhat obsessive about their health and cleanliness.  They are intensely interested in keeping their body in top shape if they are able, through rigorous exercise routines and proper diet.  This may vary, however, depending on what house Pluto is in within their natal chart and the aspects applied to Pluto.

Virgo can become obsessively involved in many things, as they have great analytical perception and the ability to uncover life’s minute details.   

In general, most Pluto in Virgo individuals find their working life rather important to them and they push themselves trying to find perfection and uncovering all the minute flaws within the working environment.  Some prefer to remain in the background rather than being up front and getting all of the attention.  Behind the scenes analytical and research work will suit most individuals born with this combination.  They would make excellent detectives and specialists in fields such as psychology, parapsychology and virtually any field that requires deep concentration and deep focus.  They are usually absorbed in their work and comfortable in knowing that they are doing their best.  Doing their best is a compulsive need and this is why they are highly sought after in the working environment.

These people are inwardly intense and need deep study as there is a yearning for understanding any subject in great detail, especially themselves.  A profession in research, institutional occupations or working in government positions would be of interest to these individuals.  They make good counsellors, pharmaceutical engineers, and mechanics, anything related to detailed work.

There may also be an interest in all hidden matters, such as the occult and the fields of metaphysics.  Any mystery holds their interest and they are great at solving deep internalized issues in others.  Most at some point in their lives will redirect their energy outward after transforming their lives, through self-actualization techniques, but not until they have completed a compulsory self-study and understand entirely what makes them tick.  Once they make this transformation to a higher sense of being, there is great healing power in many of these individuals.  They can use this gift to assist others and help them overcome many of their life’s deficiencies.

NO RETROGRADES IN THE ASTROLOGICAL BIRTH CHART

The energies of a planets in retrograde in an Astrology chart tend to make us look inward.  Those with several retrogrades in their chart (and the magic number seems to be 5) tend to be introverted, even subdued and much to themselves.  The energies have difficulties working their way to the surface and are stifled.  It takes great effort to bring the energies to the surface and make the necessary adjustments to challenge these, so-called deficiencies.  Personally this astrologer does not believe in deficiencies.  I tend to look at it as harnessed energy waiting for the opportune moment to be released.

Those people without retrogrades in their birth charts are of the minority.  It is said that roughly seven percent of people have this phenomena.  It is believed that the energies of all the planets are released and given free reign and allowed to flow freely.  This in turn can create an individual who may lack patience and they often avoid using a cautious approach.  The waiting game is not part of their nature makeup and they much prefer to move things along.

There is usually great energy behind these individuals and they work tirelessly towards the achievements of their objectives in life.  They have strong willpower and are persistent in their efforts to succeed.  They move forward similar to Aries often advancing with little afterthought if any and they rarely disbelieve in their own abilities. As a result, they are normally quite successful.  Some individuals without retrograde planets in their chart do fall from time to time; however, this will not stop them from getting back up and moving ahead again.  Their determination is steadfast and they rely on no one for approval or even assistance.   They believe in their own abilities and also stand behind their failures for they are valuable lessons.  These lessons are not cause for alarm.  “Let’s just start again and see what happens” could be their motto.   “If it does not work this time, perhaps it will the next time”, or “I will just need to make some minor adjustments” would be statements you would hear from these individuals.

They are self-reliant and self-determined.  These traits can make them great entrepreneurs.  They are willing to take the plunge and often without much reserve. 

Most of these individuals would prefer to work alone.  This, however, can make them somewhat aloof and even distant as they unconsciously withdraw into themselves.  They may even feel misinterpreted and misjudged by others, because of this loner type mentality.  But this is only in extreme cases and it is wise to take into consideration the whole chart before drawing up any conclusions.  There are many things in the chart that can offset some of these characteristics, but moving forward and going it alone is quite common for someone without retrograde planets in their chart.

SUN IN TAURUS APRIL 20 2017

April 20, 2017, the Sun moved into the sign of Taurus.  Taurus is a fixed, earth sign and it tends to identify with material objectives.  This does not necessarily suggest that they are motivated towards material abundance, although a nice home and furniture and a comfortable car do appeal to them.  Taurus individuals seek comfort and security and if they satisfy these needs, they feel sheltered and safe in their environment.  They do, however, strive to find a place within where they are comfortable both emotionally and financially (so that they can be equipped for comfort well into old age).

The fixed quality that so exudes Taurus suggests that they have permanent ideas about life and that they are not easily swayed in new directions.  This does not suggest that they will not bend and listen to others, only that once they believe in something, it will take a lot to sway them from their commitment. 

Taurus individuals are steadfast and reliable individuals.  Their word is good and they are dependable and normally quite trustworthy.  They work hard to achieve their aims and will not tire in the face of adversity or obstacles.  They believe in the slow and steady route and appreciate the experience of reaching their goals in life.

In general, those with strong Taurus emphasis in their natal charts are sensual individuals and take pleasure in the finer things in life, including a beautiful women or a strong and handsome man.  Their sensuous nature is well defined and mature.  Most make wonderful lovers and amiable and social individuals.  They would love an evening of fine wine, delicious food and heart warming company for a relaxing evening in comfortable, refined surroundings.

Although they are sensuous individuals, they are not sexually submissive or overindulgent.  They are true to their nature and would not cheat or be unfaithful once committed and make good reliable mates that can last a life time if under the right conditions.  When they love, they love with all their heart.  They will also do their best to support you or at the very least do whatever is in their power to ensure security.

JUPITER RETROGRADE FEBRUARY to JUNE, 2017

Jupiter has been in its retrograde cycle since early February, 2017, and remains in this cycle until it stations and turns direct on June 9.  Jupiter is in the sign of Libra and will be positioned between 13 to 23 degrees while in its retrograde cycle.

If you have Jupiter retrograde at birth, this often indicates that in a previous life there may have been difficulty and a feeling of not reaching true goodness on some level.  This life, as a result of what was lacking in the previous life, will be about moving towards happiness, contentment and growth in the areas of life indicated by the placement of Jupiter by sign and house in the natal chart.

Retrograde cycles (except when dealing with Saturn) deal with action of planning, setting things up, and preparing for when the planet goes direct again.  The direct motion will be when the opportunity for achievement or success will be highlighted.  Growth and expansion are indicated in areas related to romance, marriage, social interaction and creative balance (with the current Libra influence).  This is what we work towards when Jupiter is transiting through Libra.  Sometimes on rare occasions unexpected luck comes into play after this cycle is complete but there have to be indications leaning in this direction in the birth chart. 

Aspects to Jupiter and its placement in the natal chart will help you understand what areas of life are affected, what to expect and the overall conditions of what might take place.

WHAT IS YOU PHILOSOPHY FOR LIVING?

No one has come into this life without purpose.  As a spiritual being we knew that the physical experiences that we live in this life would enhance our growth and understanding.  Our life purpose not only assists us in our growth but it also assists each and every person we touch along the way.  Our human connections allow us to open the door to love and compassion with an understanding that the deeper purpose expressed by these qualities is our link to source.

Life, if we allow (and we are certainly human), can be stressful at times.  Through these more aggressive lessons, we are impacted greatly both at the time and certainly as a beneficial tool in days to come.  Nothing is by chance.  Your meeting each person along the way is neither accidental nor unintentional.  Each event in our lives has purpose.  We may not always understand the underlying purposes but it is there whether our human mind can understand or not.  Perhaps one day we will understand but it may take shedding this human vehicle first.   

We can experience happiness and live in contentment.  Does this seem farfetched? 

You have a choice to change your attitude and your decision to take ownership of all experiences.  Focus on where you want to be rather than where you do not want to be.  Remember you always draw to you what you focus on.
