FULL MOON IN SCORPIO, MAY 10 2017

We will be experiencing a Full Moon (the flower moon) in the sign of Scorpio on May 10, 2017. 

There have been many studies that indicate heightened activity particularly of our emotions during Full and New Moon phases.  It has been noted that crimes of violence and passion are heightened during these phases.  Aggression and psychosis also seem to be more prevalent.  Many individuals fear these Lunar cycles.  Although these are documented facts, we must also look into the positive energies during these stages of the Moon. 

If the Moon can influence the ocean tides, how can they not influence human beings?

As the Full Moon will be into the Sign of Scorpio at the 20 degree mark, those with natal factors within three degrees of the 20 degree mark will be the ones most influenced by this Full Moon phase.  The conjunctions (same degree) indicate an emphasis and high energy.  The square (90 degrees) and opposition (180 degrees) suggests challenging conditions usually attached with some degree of stress, while the sextile (60 degrees) and trine (120 degrees) usually imply free flowing energy released in a positive manner.

Scorpio is a fixed water sign suggesting on rigidity and fixated emotional energy.  Scorpio is deep and uncovering the truth in life is part of Scorpio’s energies.  There are times when sex plays an important role in this unfolding.  Scorpions can be drawn to wild sexual experiences and intensely emotional interaction.  Many people when they think of Scorpio characteristics are immediately drawn to a focus sexual acts, although this is most certainly only one small facet of the energies of a Scorpion.

Scorpio, the seeker of truth, has a fascination for the unknown and is attracted to the occult, spiritual energies and self-regeneration through transformative experiences (often linked to connections in these areas of life). 

The Full Moon is the harvest time (reap what you have sowed) or culmination of efforts and goals often set in motion some six months ago.  It is a time to reap the rewards or experience the shortfalls of what was begun back when the new Moon was also in the sign of Scorpio (last November). 

Although it is not suggested that anything of a violent nature will be unfolding during this time, it is suggested that you steer clear of any foreseeable violent potential in any given situation.  Be safe and on your watch for the unexpected, just to be safe.  If Pluto and Mars and/or Uranus are involved in the configuration within your personal chart, it is advised that you take particular care in the coming days to not put yourself in harm’s way.  The violence could also come from you through over aggressive reactions and explosive responses.  Be wary! 

As mentioned, Scorpio loves to go deep.  What hidden emotions have you buried deep?  This full moon may bring them to the surface as the moon is connected to our emotions.  Do not fight the process.  Utilize these energies to help deal with all that is buried and release permanently what you have been avoiding.  An uncomfortable process can have a wonderful outcome.

Check your natal chart to see which house the Full Moon will be transiting as this will foretell the areas of life being activated.  For example if the full moon will be in your sixth house, your working environment or health could be part of the process as it unfolds.  If the 12^th house is involved, the subconscious and psychic connections will be activated.  Places of confinement such as hospitals, or prisons could all be activated with the 12^th house involvement.  If the Full Moon is in your tenth house, your occupation, your status in life, your goals, aspirations and ambitions may be part of the energies affected.

Do not fear the Full Moon or the New Moon for that matter.  Use their energies to help with your own personal growth and activate the energies so that they unfold in ways that add positive influences in your life.  These goals should not only aid you but also help others along their particular path in life.  Life and all of the energies involved are to be shared.  Are you utilizing these energies to the best of your ability?

CREATING AND DEVELOPING

From the very beginning your life has been conducive to the creation of ideas.  The ideas for your future probably began before you were born.  Parents dream and imagine what they want for their children.  The plans may have been formulated by someone else, but the action to put a plan in motion must always come from you. 

This plans can but do not necessarily refer to your occupation or material goals in life.  These dreams could be the characteristics and qualities that your parents wanted to instil in you as you were growing up.  Some parents might be forceful with their ideas of the way your life should be; perhaps some were fixated on things and in ways that they believed they had fallen short. 

Some of our parents may have believed that if we stepped out alone it would not be safe for us.  They wanted to keep us safe.  By doing so, were they denying us opportunity to grow or did they actually keep us safe from harm?  Some parents wanted to ensure their children had strength and the abilities to move forward on their own without having to rely on others?  By doing so, were they denying us how to share our fears and emotions or did they build strong independent people?  Some parents wanted us to fulfill their needs in some way.  The possibilities are endless.

Many of us, as we matured, made changes where we believed changes were required and we held on to things that we felt resonated with our core beliefs or that we took for granted.  Some still struggle with what was taken for granted during our younger years.  We knew no different and now we cannot help but question things that we always considered unquestionable.  Some of us have never given what they were taught as young children a second thought.  Is this wise?

Questions are invaluable.  Through study, discovery and openness we gradually built into reality what we hunger for in our lives.  Some of us continually change our concepts and belief structures along the way.  It is sometimes essential so that life itself can keep up with our every expanding growth.  We must release the guilt that we may feel towards shifting.  What truly feels correct in our hearts (not our memory banks)?  We are not suggesting that all that our parents or teachers have taught us was wrong but it is certainly progressive to think outside of the box and be open to new ideas.  Questioning can actual verify that which we already know but it can also make us realize that we may have been mislead.

With external values, we can also practice the same openness...with our profession, with our day to day lives.  Do not fear learning new concepts and ideas.  Follow you dreams.  What we need in life may be somewhat different than what we conceive but that is okay.  Dream anyway.  The overall picture of our lives can and will transform into whatever it is meant to become.  We personally are our own greatest achievements and our lives are a manifestation of what we have materialized over time.  We have brought things to life by our expectations and our belief structures.

What we now have in front of us is an accumulation of all of the details we have set in motion over time.  What more can be accumulated (and we are just not speaking of material things)?  Life continues to develop.  What is your contribution?   There are many avenues of expression for each of us.  Each avenue of expression is built in perfect harmony for what we require in our lives.

PLUTO RETROGRADE MOTION

Pluto moves in and out of retrograde several times each year.  It remains in retrograde for approximately 150 days a year, often lasting for several months at a time.  It moved into retrograde on April 18, 2017, and remains in retrograde until September 28, 2017.

Transiting Pluto is a powerhouse in the horoscope, and it intensifies in strength when it makes aspects to planets and points within the natal chart or the progressed chart.  The orb for influence in the transit of Pluto should be no more than 2 degrees (0 degrees being direct).  While in progression, it is most significant when it comes within 15 minutes of being direct. 

When Pluto moves into the retrograde motion, it intensifies and becomes very powerful.  The transformational abilities linked to Pluto increase and the regenerative abilities are enhanced.  Any power struggles can also become much more apparent when Pluto is in retrograde, so it is wise to avoid interaction that could lead to intense situations, especially if linked somehow to the planet Mars or Uranus.

It may be very challenging to avoid situations that require change especially when Pluto transits a planet while in retrograde.  It could be considered a time for cleansing and a time to release any wore out or outdated attitudes.  It is as thought you are addressing a list of things to do that was written last year.  Review and remove those items that no longer apply and add more important requirements that are relevant to your life today. 

Pluto while in retrograde will be between 14 and 17 degrees and will affect any planet within its orb of influence and while in transit to natal planets (or positions), this orb is much wider than it is in transit to progressed positions.  The orb of influence is usually 5 degrees approaching a position and 2 degrees separating from a position.

During retrograde motion, it is good times for inner study and digging up of issues that have been buried for too long.  It might not always be pleasant what you initially find but these challenging conditions will need to be confronted and dealt with.  Any patterns in your life that have reached a state of uncontrollable insistence can best be addressed now and dealt with and changed (usually on a permanent basis).

Much depends on which house Pluto is transiting and also the house that Pluto is located in the natal chart as these will be areas of life that will undergo Pluto’s transformative energies.  You may be forced to challenge any issues you dig up and bring to the surface.  An example might be communicative challenges if transiting Pluto is moving through the third house or if natal Pluto resides in this house.  Also you should look to see where Pluto’s ruling sign (Scorpio) is found as this will also indicate where these changing conditions might become apparent.

Those with Pluto retrograde at birth are known to have great recuperative abilities and they can withstand illnesses that might be considered debilitating for many others.  We would suggest that you review how Pluto is aspected in the natal chart.  Also review the aspects linked to the planets that transiting Pluto is making aspects to during its cycle in order to get a feel of how these areas of life along with the energies associated with the planets involved will affect the overall conditions of this very significant transit of Pluto.

In general it is a good time to get in touch with any issues that need dealing with or cleansing.  Review to see what you more inner needs may be.  It is a time for inner reflection and transformation that usually takes a year or two to unfold. 

On an outer level, it is also a good time to begin exercise programs and detoxifying diets that help cleanse the body but do not forget spirit.  Enjoy the rather intense transformation that often takes place as Pluto moves into direct and retrograde motion affecting planetary links and important positions in your birth chart. 

The times when Pluto is stationary direct and stationary retrograde if linked with others planets in the birth chart could be the most intense periods throughout this whole transformational process.

SUN IN TAURUS, 2017 FORECAST

This post is written for those people with the Sun in Taurus.  Sun in Taurus is but a portion of the full Astrology chart as we cannot take into consideration the other aspects contained within each individual birth chart.  As a result, this is an overall general review of what the year looks like for someone with a Taurus Sun placement. 

Again, in general, the year looks like a favourable one, especially those with their Sun between 10 to 20 degrees Taurus. 

Transiting Neptune moves between 11 – 13 degrees in the sign of Pisces for the rest of this year.  It will form a sextile to anyone with their Sun between 7 to 17 degrees in Taurus.  This sextile implies that this is the year to make advancements from a spiritual perspective and form a connection with an idealistic view of all that can be obtained on an inner connection with your psyche.  Also, there is a potential to use this developed awareness to leap forward with your personal evolution.  By getting to know you on a spiritual level, you will open doors that assist in your growth and life objectives.  As with any other sextile, it will be up to you to make the adjustments to your life.  This will not just fall into your lap.

On a more material level, this aspect promotes opportunities to gain recognition through growth and change as you align with the goals and aspirations.  The potential for an increase in earnings could be enhanced although the primary concern with this aspect is inner alignment and self-realization. 

Transiting Pluto in Capricorn is in trine for this year which adds to the potential of transformational regeneration.  In turn it will assist in building potential to achieve in the material world.  Those with their Sun between 12 - 23 degrees will be influenced by this aspect while those with their Sun between 9 -19 degrees will be influenced by both this aspect and the aspect with Neptune.  These offer a greater potential to recognize the spiritual insight coming into life and also reaching life objectives connected to growth.

Saturn adds stability and forms a more concrete material base towards the end of the year, particularly for those that have an early degree Sun sign in Taurus.  It will form a trine to your Sun in December of 2017 and 2018.  Saturn will move into the sign of Capricorn and will form a trine for most of 2018 to the Sun for those within the first 10 - 12 degrees of Taurus.  Taurus and Capricorn are both signs related to achievement in physical terms and advancement in earthly matters.  Of course much depends on the overall condition within the birth chart as well as the houses that will be affected during the time frames mentioned.

BUILDING ON THE POSITIVE

Do you find that your outlook in general is positive?  Do you notice a lot of stress and issues that just don’t seem to want to go away of late? 

If you find that life is getting you down and that you seem to be caught up in negativity, perhaps you could refocus your attention.  Paying attention to the challenging conditions in life will only enhance and amplify the experiences. 

It is always a good practice to review how we are feeling.  Examine why we are feeling the way we are (what has happened recently).  Only then can we understand why we are feeling what we are experiencing and then we can make alterations in how you perceive these experiences. 

We may not be able to change events that we have not creating but this does not make us at the mercy of these events.  We have full control over what we perceive our life to be.  Happiness is from within and nothing in life can make you truly happy.  Happiness is a choice. 

Two individuals can attend a wedding.  One can thoroughly enjoy themselves simply sitting back and watching the festivities.  The second, experiencing exactly the same events as the first individual and sitting back and watching, could have a miserable experience.   Why?  The two same experiences are experienced on both ends of the spectrum simply because of the different attitudes by the two individuals towards sitting back and watching.

JUPITER RETROGRADE

Jupiter’s energy is connected to good luck, prosperity and expansion.  Wherever it is located in the birth chart the potential for good luck and growth is often amplified.

When Jupiter moves into its retrograde cycle, this motion can last 120 days and move backwards up to 20 degrees; therefore, its influence is widespread and lasting.  Much of Jupiter’s influence depends on the aspects it makes to other influences in the natal chart and when it is in transit much will depend on the angle it makes to the planets it will be touching.

As mentioned, Jupiter brings with it good fortune and opportunities for expansion when in direction motion.  When it is in retrograde motion, these energies do slow down and these energies can even be denied but it does facilitate faith and levelheadedness.  It offers an ability to succeed even under these conditions.

Jupiter direct is highlighted by splendour and potential and when it goes retrograde we appreciates all the festivities or opportunities that come along but there is a modest quality that is often not found when Jupiter is direct.

From February 6, 2017 to June 9, 2017, Jupiter will be in its retrograde cycle for this year.  It will be stationary for about 2-4 days as each cycle begins (retrograde/direct) and this is when the energies are the strongest.  When it is retrograde, any business and/or opportunity that you have been pursuing might move a lot slower than when Jupiter was direct.  It may even cease or become none existent during Jupiter’s retrograde cycle but in some cases can be renewed with greater vigor when its motion returns to direct.  We should go through a time of re-appraising and review so as to ensure that we know what can be done to save the endeavour when the direct cycle returns.

You may find that when Jupiter is direct your freewheeling and spending is exaggerated.  You may feel more comfortable spending your hard earned money and when it is in its retrograde cycle, you may be more thrifty and careful in these areas.  In some ways, Jupiter retrograde takes on similar qualities as Saturn, in that it may restrict, delay and obstruct what you may be trying to accomplish. It makes you work hard for good results, but diligence pays off.
