NEW MOON IN GEMINI 2017

We will experience the energies of the new Moon on May 25, 2017.

If, for example, you have been thinking about starting a project based on writing or teaching, this period could mark the prep time so that you can prepare and step into the process at the end of the year.  Gemini speaks of versatility, changeability and adaptability.  As a result, you can expect this subject or project to undergo some transformations along the way.  Change is inevitable or at the very least most likely.  Move forward with this in mind as it will prevent you from being let down when you make changes and adapt as you move along.  Once a set plan has been put into place, however, aim to stick with the process.  With the influence of Gemini, it is possible to go to extremes and be unhappy with anything that you are doing.  It is perhaps possible that you could feel that it is not suitable or something is missing or it is not what you wanted to do in the first place which can be excuses not to continue as you become bored.

The conjunction is the most powerful, while the square often suggests some tension.  The opposition always implies that other people will be part of the process, while the trine and sextile add opportunities to the overall condition of this lunar placement in your chart.  It does not really matter what aspects are involved as you can do anything with these energies although some might require more work than others.

Moon in Gemini might simply imply interaction with others and stimulation of the communicational network.  You may find that you are busier at this time and that your energies seem to be scattered.  Bring focus to all of your efforts and stay on topic.  Do not flit from one thing to another without at least applying yourself. 

Your emotional energy might also be heightened during this period, especially around the beginning of this aspect.  The emotions may also be heightened if you have your natal Moon connected somehow. 

Saturn can add some stress to things and bring some challenges or obstructions along your path, while Uranus may bring powerful insight and something new and exciting to the forefront, with new paths and exciting times.  Neptune can make things intriguing and add a little mystery to what takes place while Jupiter can expand what takes place and also bring some good luck your way.  Mars can bring energy and sometimes sexual energy while Venus and Neptune especially if both are in tight aspect and in a favourable configuration can bring the potential for love and spirituality.

THE END RESULT

After a life of many gains and many losses and you are lying on your death bed, what do you think your last thoughts will be?

TRANSITING JUPITER CONJUNCT NATAL VENUS

Jupiter is known as the great benefactor and often bestows good luck, good fortune and expansion into everything it touches.  When connected to the planet Venus the planet of love and romance, it often brings good fortune into this area of life.  It offers a peaceful time and you may find that your lover or your friend brings out the best in you.  You feel comfortable and your mannerisms are gentle and very loving.

If you are in a new relationship, this could be when the relationship will grow to new depths and this aspect will offer not only love and excitement but also enough space so that you can make a choice as to when you want to be together and when you prefer to be by yourself.  In a new relationship which may have a lot to offer, you may find that you want to spend more time together however you probably will not feel tied down.  You find that you both give the other enough space and freedom to be yourselves, especially if Uranus is somehow connected to this conjunction.

This is a great time for social gathering and you may find that you wish to share your life with more people during this aspect.  Party going in wide open spaces may be very appealing especially when connected to nature. 

Watch for becoming too lavish as Jupiter has no boundaries.  Also watch for overspending as when this transit is finished, you may find that you went overboard.  You may also be tempted to travel to lush and beautiful surroundings at this time.  Foreign culture may be very exciting to you and you may even meet someone while abroad.

Self-indulgence on some level is likely. Be careful not to overdo things.  Many will gain weight during this time as food seems very tasty.  As you can see, you will enjoy life on many levels.  You want to be around beauty and anything gruff and abrasive does not suit you during this time.  Move away from these.  You are meant to enjoy yourself and share your life with those that matter to you most.

SUN IN GEMINI CHARACTERISTICS

The Sun moves into the sign of Gemini on May 21, 2017.

The following characteristics can be applied to those with their Sun in Gemini as well as those with Gemini as their Rising Sign.  Although the rest of the chart can modify these natal characteristics, the Sun is generally representative of inner traits which may be reflected outward to some extent.  The rising sign is indicative of character traits that are visible to everyone and always outwardly expressed.  The rising sign is your outward expression…the face you show to the world.  The Sun sign characteristics, although they carry the same tendencies, can be modified by the rising sign. 

Someone with a weak Capricorn Sun (not implying that all Capricorn Sun placements are less strong as they are not) and a powerful influence of Leo (lets say five planets especially connecting some inner planets in Leo or a conglomeration of planets in the fifth house) will show the dominant Leo tendencies much more than the Capricorn Sun which would be diluted in this case.

Gemini individuals are talkative, expressive, enthusiastic and very restless.  They need constant stimulation especially stimulation linked to learning, such as reading materials.  They have many interests and are usually self educated to an extent on subjects of interest.  They may tend to skit along the surface of many subjects and they do not go overly deep on any one given subject.

These individuals love variety, and change is almost a prerequisite to their happiness.  They will avoid anything that they consider boring and although sensitive and sympathetic to others, they can release themselves from influences of what they term negativity.  They will have to watch from taking on other people’s problems.  They must learn over time how to separate themselves from adversity.  Running away from challenge is not advised, although it may appear to be the easy route.  They have great analytical abilities and can challenge any problem rather than run from them.  This is a very intellectual placement and the thinking process is quick although indecisive at times.

The ruling planet is Mercury which is closely tied to the mind and communication.  Teaching, writing and communication such as public speaking would be right up a Gemini’s alley.  They need intellectual stimulus to be happy.  Watch for a tendency for idle chatter, gossip and jumping from one subject to another.  These individuals must learn to focus and bring to life what they are thinking and then share these thoughts with others as this will add to their intellectual connections.  They must accept the lesson to listen whole-heartedly and to allow their thoughts to run deep.  There is much insight available if they choose to follow these guidelines.

THOSE THAT ARE IN NEED

For many of us, part of our life’s mission is to learn to assist particularly those who are vulnerable or are in need of help.  What does it cost willingly lend a hand to anyone that needs our assistance? 

Our assistance could benefit many from the less fortunate such as the homeless we chance to meet, an elderly person trying to maneuver their way with a heavy load, a young individual struggling with an unforeseen illness or even an individual who stood by while you were struggling and never raised a hand to help.

There are no boundaries when someone is in need and regardless of who they are and their lot in life we can happily lend a helping hand.  Those with extra time on their hands might find volunteering their services as an appropriate avenue of expression.  Some individuals that are in the healing professions have volunteered in nations far less privileged than ours.  Even when we are offering a gentle guiding voice and reassurance, we are using our abilities.  Assistance does not have to be something over the top.

We all have our gifts yet most of us still have to learn how to utilize them and recognize them for what they are. 

Do not compare what you can do to others.  We all have our special part.  There are always ample opportunities to reach out and touch someone in whatever way we can. 

Each of us is born into specific conditions and these conditions we have no control over.  Do not judge others. 

We all have a part to play.  Why would we want to waste the opportunities that fall into our laps?  We can all utilize what is available to us including being that guiding light for those that currently walk in the dark.
