PERSEIDS METEOR SHOWERS

For those of us fascinated by the events in our sky, the perseids Meteor showers will peak today August 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. according to Nassau.

Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation circulating on such events on the internet and we will not be experiencing the 150 to 200 sightings per hour. According to Nassau there could be up to 80 sightings an hour. Currently our wonderful bright moon will cause light pollution which could reduce the sightings to 40-50 per hour. Nonetheless, it will still be worth the watch if we can escape the clouds.

EXTENSIONS IN THE HOROSCOPE

Many people when they think of Astrology, they think only of the Sun Sign.  There are many other components and variables within the birth chart and each of these will affect the characteristic or energies of the Sun sign or solar placement. 

The Sun Sign’s energies reflect the inner personal qualities.  The Moon’s energies govern our emotional needs expressed through its sign and house position.  There are many other influences beyond even the Sun and the Moon that affect our character traits, the way we respond to life and how someone else would perceives us.

You may question why a person who has a Pisces Sun sign (Pisces being gentle, peaceful and amiable) can be intrusive, demanding, self centred and in general display aggressive behaviours.  These latter characteristics are quite contrary to the characteristics of the typical Piscean Sun Sign.  Why is this person so different and displays little of their Sun Sign’s character traits? 

Perhaps this individual has a strong Aries placement in their chart, with the Ascendant in Aries and the Moon, Mars and Jupiter all in Aries or in the first house.  These planets may be poorly aspected.  This strong Arian influences will mask the soft and gentle Pisces demeanor, perhaps to an extreme, unless this individual has learned how to masterl these strong character traits and use them to their advantage.

We all have the potential, regardless of our birth chart, to make any challenging aspect work in our favour.   This is the purpose of difficult aspects in our natal chart.  We are not at the mercy of our birth chart.  We are the orchestrator of our destiny and have all the tools available to us within our birth chart to activate any aspect and use it to its fullest  positive potential.

Getting back to why this Pisces Sun individual displays such non-Piscean tendencies......We must look deep within the chart and examine all the aspects and variables within the horoscope to come up with a complete picture of the personal makeup of this individual.  This is what makes each of us unique and one onto our selves.  One Pisces Sun sign individual will be different from another Pisces Sun sign individual.  However deep down inside, those qualities of Pisces are still strong even though not shown.  The individual described above can utilize these strong Aries character traits and use these talents to enhance their Piscean nature, perhaps through spreading compassion and spirituality (through their own self-expression or through enterprise that aids others in self-realization).  This individual would have a very strong drive and could express the Piscean nature though very worthwhile opportunities.

There are many avenues of expression and many techniques to release our inner potential. Through our spiritual evolution, we slowly unlock our natal potential.  By going deep into the astrological chart, we can uncover our true potential and our purpose behind this incarnation.  Astrology provides information and guidance into our life’s pursuit, but WE always make the decisions and must take the actions required.

BASKING IN THE TRUE ENERGIES

This is a special moment, as every moment is special.  Enjoy it.  Live it. 

We have come into this life to experience all that is available - to experience life’s moments, each special in its own way. 

It is our time to investigate and to uncover all of the hidden gems that reside within and around us.  Seek out all of the treasures... all the unique characteristics that create us as individual.

The best person that we can be already exists.  Allow this person to emerge but first we have to acknowledge that we are this person.  Let go of those characteristics we feel we must possess to please others and allow the true self to surface.  For some of us, it takes a long time to be comfortable enough to come out of hiding or from under our veils we use to face the world, mainly due to the fact that we do not associate ourselves with the potential that lies within.  Many individuals do not believe or realize that they possess the qualities that they wish to develop.  We stop ourselves short because of our limiting beliefs.

We can learn to be comfortable as that person we currently suppress inside.  We, with our focus and expectations, are our only limitation. 

Many of us restrict our beliefs and expectations.  If our beliefs and focus mould who we are, is it not then imperative to staying focused on the positive?  Yes, this does sometimes take work.  The sky is the limited, however.  We can alter our perceptions of who we think we are.  Who we allow to exist is a continuous process and the expansion never ceases if we strive to develop.

We can bask in the true energies of who we are at any given time.  Believe and move forward with the blooming of our true self.

PSYCHIC POTENTIAL UNLEASHED THROUGH THE NATAL CHART

We have had much discussion of late concerning links in the birth chart indicating potential psychic abilities and pronounced intuition. 

I personally believe that all people have the potential to unlock psychic abilities but it is imperative to believe that these are talents dormant within.  The birth chart does, however, indicate those individuals that may be able to access these abilities easier than other individuals.

The following traits are normally found in birth chart of those with developed psychic abilities or potential.  We have also found that those not blessed with the following traits in their natal chart may have indicators through the progression of the planets at point in their lives.  Remember, however, the birth chart is a lifelong blue print of your journey, which is forever unfolding.  You can overcome any challenging aspect found within the natal chart by promote positive energies into your life through your focus and by utilizing the energies and trends offered during specific times in your life (and this is where an Astrology Chart truly shows it usefulness).

It is more common for women to have more psychic characteristics than men.  This is due to the fact that in order to bring these character traits to the surface, we have to utilize our instincts and sensitivities.  Most women have, through their nurturing nature, developed these traits early in life.  This is not to say that men do not have these qualities, as today’s men are learning to develop their compassionate and sensitive side.  As a result, we are seeing more men enjoy their abilities and psychic nature.

Quite often people with Grand Water Trines have psychic or intuitive abilities as their sensitivities are often not hindered.  Many people with a strong element of water in their charts, particularly Pisces and Scorpio, have links to psychic potential.  Sometimes those with the signs Aquarius and Sagittarius and the planets Uranus and Jupiter strongly aspected in their Charts (especially by Neptune, the Sun or the Moon) have these qualities.  Strong planetary links to the water houses (4, 8, 12) have the same potentials.

Ties to Neptune especially with Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, the Sun and the Moon often produce these qualities.  Pluto and Neptune in close sextile also often points in this direction.  Those individuals with a North or South Node connected to Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer have these abilities.  The North Node suggests talents that have yet to be developed but will be pushed to the surface during this life, while the South Node suggests that these psychic potentials were cultivated in a past life and are carried forward and usable in this life.

Saturn connected to Neptune may steady the psychic abilities and keep the individual grounded.  Alternatively, it may suggest a hindrance or blockages in developing this potential. 

Rising signs often carry energies creating potential for developing psychic abilities especially Pisces or close ties to Neptune of a positive sort (sextile, trine or perhaps the conjunction) to the ascendant.  Cancer rising can also suggest psychic abilities, often suggesting strong mothering instincts and a nurturing personality.  The same potential exists with Scorpio rising although the mothering is not as innate as those with Cancer and individuals having a strong tie to the planet Pluto.  As a result, Scorpio rising individuals must watch for wanting to dominate with this God-given talent, which will create a blockage.

As you can see, there are many links associated with the psychic development and intuition potentials.  The more these characteristics are found in your birth chart, the stronger the potential that you will master this gift.  The greatest enemy to building psychic abilities is fear or those that seek power and dominance through their potential.

This potential is a gift that should be used for the greater good.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are somewhat continuing on the focus of our post from August 3, 2017 concerning defining ourselves and others based on their material success.

Making judgement on others is never our place or intention.  Who we are is never reflected by our external achievements.  We would have to go within others and feel what they feel before we could possibly know anything about their core energy. 

It is far more important to go, in earnest, within ourselves to begin to know what who WE are ourselves.  It never matters what others may think, but it certainly is important what our own personal attitude is towards ourselves.

Go within and see who is there without judgement. 

Seek harmony by being harmonious.  Share your life with others for you have much to give. 

See others for who they are not by what they have achieved or have not achieved.  When you truly see them, do not judge; just accept.  The less you judge, the less you are judged.

See yourself through the inner reflections of your core energy.  Let THAT radiate outward and be your self-expression.  What others might think is truly not important; how you feel about yourself is key.  Find your true light within....that is your true identity.

TODAY IS THE LUNAR ECLIPSE

A reminder that today at 2:10 p.m. in the Toronto area, we will experience the Lunar eclipse.  Hopefully Mother Nature will co-operate and we will be able to see this event.  The energies will be there no matter whether there are cloud cover or not.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE TRINE NATAL SUN

Neptune has been hovering between 9 to 13 degrees of Pisces all of 2017 and will remain in the later of these degrees (13-14 degrees) into early 2018.  Neptune in trine to the Sun or in the sign of Pisces (its natural placement) is indicative of the opening of doors to mystical pursuits.  This of course will be relevant to those with this inclination in their overall life development plan.  This is defined in the original birth chart.

If so inclined, there are great opportunities for further of enlightenment.  The trine aspect implies easy flow and growth by letting the energies move along with little to no resistance.  Letting go is what Neptune is all about.  Those with indicators in their chart, particularly many water trines, or water on the ascendant or ruling their Sun Sign, have the necessary ingredients to open up these passageways.  There are many other indicators for psychic awareness in the birth chart, but these are the primary markers indicating such potential.  Sensitivity is what psychic potential is all about.

The energies of Neptune are ego dissolving, which is what is required for this awakening.  This is not to say that you should not be happy about the unfolding taking place in your life, but rather that much of these energies will be directed towards the assistance of others.  We are here after all to be of assistance and to offer our services to those in need.  Remember we are all siblings and share a common cause.

There are opportunities to bring to fruition some of your ideals and aspirations.  Your altruistic goals can grow and materialise under these magical energies that are present with this aspect.  We are meant to share our lives and its experiences with those that share it with us.  You may be able to feel that which these people feel (when in contact with them) and just know instinctively how to help them.  You may just offer a shoulder or provide guidance in their time of need.  Remember your greatest attribute will be the light you cast into their shadows. 

Creative abilities are yet another way this trine might express itself, which can be through music, the arts, and/or through practices of giving to others without measure.  Your creative abilities may be enhanced during this time particularly if the fifth house or Leo are somehow linked to this aspect.

The worst thing you can do during this fortunate period is to sit back and do nothing with these energies that are present.  There is great potential with this trine.  Even those with the square or conjunction can use these energies to their benefit, although it may take more effort.  Those with the sextile may find that the energies present will provide the necessary ingredients for things to fall into their hands or they may just have to initiate the process simply by stepping forward to reap the rewards of the sextile aspect. 

Use these energies in appropriate ways to push forward in your spiritual quest and promote peace around you.
