RETROGRADE MOTION PLANETS

Retrograde motion is a phenomenon that actually occurs quite frequently.  Our Earth is tilted on its axis at 23 ½ degrees, and the planets are in a continuous motion in the skies.  They rise in the east and set in the west due to our Earth’s rotation.  The planets in our solar system travel along the ecliptic and because of our Earth’s rotation move from west to east.

At some point in this rotation the planets appear to slow down and actually stop their movement in the heavens.  This appearance of non-movement is known as the stationary position in Astrology.  The planets then appear to move backwards and this is termed retrograde motion.  This is an illusion and does not actually happen.  It only appears to happen.

These times of retrograde motion can last for a period of a couple of weeks up to several months depending on the planet involved.

If the placement of the planet which is in retrograde makes an aspect to one of the planets in our birth chart their energies are triggered.  The type of energy that is triggered depends entirely on the aspect between the planets involved together with the houses that becomes activated during the contact.

Quite often a Planet such as Pluto will go into retrograde motion and then begin to move forward again and then go back into retrograde two or three times before it returns to direct motion and passes beyond the connection with the planetary force it has touched.  The first contact when a planet goes retrograde is always the most intense energy period.  It is as though something has been activated and we act accordingly.   Each subsequent contact is less intense and the final contact is usually associated with coming to terms with whatever took place as a result of energies of the initial contact.

When Pluto makes a contact to an angle in our natal chart, especially the Ascendant or the Midheaven, its energies can have a profound effect in our lives.  Often the retrograde motion lasts a month or two and then passes over the same degree only to go retrograde again and pass over the same degree again.  The total orb of influence can last six months to one year.  This will transform whatever is being suggested through the sign on the angle and the aspects from other natal positions.  Great transformations occur during such events and we will go through changes both internally and externally that alter our lives, often permanently.

To find out more on retrograde planets in your birth chart or retrograde planets affecting planets or angles in your chart, you should locate these movements in your ephemeris or on line.  A transit and progression chart can be prepared and will provide great details of the affects. 

Currently Uranus and Neptune are retrograde when we posted this on November 8, 2017.  As of January 3, 2018, there will be no planets in retrograde motion and this will continue until March 10, 2018 when Jupiter goes retrograde.  By the end of July, 2018, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto will all be retrograde.

FREEDOM

What does freedom mean to you?

There are many nations where self-expression is only a dream.  In some nations, women have few to no rights.  Of course, we do not have to travel to other lands to find people living under challenging conditions. 

Sometimes we need to have a close personal look at what is right in front of us to put our own lives into perspective.  We then can truly appreciate how we are living even with daily irritations.  No life is perfect, but many of us live a life filled with blessings whether we recognize them or not.  Conditions could be much worse.  Acknowledge what you have in your life.  See these gifts for what they truly are.

Most of us have freedom of expression and the ability to live out our lives with relative calm except.  As it is often said, count your blessings.  Be thankful for “all” in your life. 

Live in the grace of appreciation every day.  Acknowledge each and every blessing.  You will be shocked at how plentiful they actual are.  Allow the energies of gratitude to float freely.  Remember your focus and when you say thanks in whatever way you choose, you will experience the miracle.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE TRINE NATAL SUN

Minor forecasting for Sun in Scorpio

Neptune has been hovering between 9 to 13 degrees of Pisces all of 2017 and will proceed forward to 13-14 degrees into early 2018.  After which time, Neptune will make its way to 16 degrees Pisces before it goes retrograde again in June of 2018.  Neptune in trine to the Sun and in the sign of Pisces (its natural placement) is all about opening the door to mystical pursuits.  This of course will be relevant to those with this inclination in their overall development plan already set in motion prior to this period.  This is defined in the original birth chart.

If so inclined, there is great opportunity for these individuals to further their enlightenment.  Trines imply easy flow and growth by letting the energies move along with little to no resistance.  Letting go is what Neptune is all about.  Those with indicators in their chart, particularly many water trines, or water on the ascendant or ruling their Sun Sign, have the necessary ingredients to utilize these energies.  There are many other indicators for psychic awareness in the birth chart, but these are primary markers.  Sensitivity is what psychic potential is all about.

The energies of Neptune are ego dissolving, a necessity to awakening.  This is not to say that you should not be happy about the unfolding taking place in your life, but rather that much of these energies will be directed towards the assistance of others.  We are here, after all, to be of assistance and to offer our services to those in need.  Remember we are all brothers and sisters.  We share this common connection.

There are opportunities to bring to fruition your aspirations.  Your altruistic goals can grow and materialize under these magical energies.  We are meant to share our lives with those that life brings into our consciousness.  Under this influence you may be able to feel these people and know instinctively how to help them. 

This trine may also bring forward your creative abilities.  To some, this may be through music, the arts, and immaterial practices, as mentioned such as giving without measure.  Your creative abilities may be enhanced during this time particularly if the fifth house or Leo is somehow linked to the equation.

The worst thing you can do during this fortunate period is to sit back and do nothing with these energies.  There is great potential with this trine.  Even those with the square or conjunction can use these energies to their benefit, although it may take more effort.  Those with the sextile may find that the energies allow all necessary ingredients to just fall into their hands or they may just have to initiate the process, simply by stepping forward.

FULL MOON IN TAURUS NOVEMBER 4/2017

We will be experiencing a Full Moon (known as the Beaver Moon) in the sign of Taurus on November 4, 2017.  It is at 11 degrees and those individuals that have planets on/or near this degree will be especially influenced by this Full Moon.  You can allow about a 5 degree orb of influence.  If you have a planet from 6 to 16 degrees of any sign, this full Moon’s energies will be influencing such a planet in your chart.  Those with Planets between these degrees in Aquarius (square aspect), Leo (square aspect) or Scorpio (opposition aspect) will feel the full moon’s effects strongly. 

It has been mentioned to us through several sources that the energies in the past couple of weeks seem to have been rather chaotic.  The Full Moon (which is how an individual expressed this energy) can have a profound effect on others which in turn can affect us in our own personal lives.  Some suggest that people seem to be behaving rather abrupt or expressing themselves through anger of late.  This would certainly be reflective of the energies of Pluto or Mars.  Some have mentioned that these energies feel erratic and unpredictable, maybe even a little bizarre and this sounds much like the energies of Uranus.

Currently we have Neptune (which can make things a little irrational) at 11 degrees Pisces, (sextile) and although the energies attached to sextiles usually speak in terms of opportunities, Neptune can make things a little unclear and mysterious.  Linked with the sign of Taurus, this could relate to finances or security issues.  It does appear as though things will eventually work out well in the long haul although some push may be necessary in order to clear the air.

Pluto is at 17 degrees Capricorn and although out by 6 degrees might still have residual effects.  This is a trine aspect suggesting easy flow of energies and opportunities especially in earth matters, such as business and calculated efforts towards achievement.  Pluto is disruptive and can cause some strife even though you may be working in a favourable manner towards these goals.  You may have to defend your actions and fight for your cause but once again, the energies are flowing well suggesting more than average opportunities for advancement.

The energies might be completely different when you review the aspects in your own personal chart.  What we are speaking of in this post are the energies which will affect everyone in general without taking into consideration the aspects’ energies within an individual’s birth chart.  Much of course depends on how you handle these energies and the Full Moon is always attached to the harvest of what has been put in place.  If you find that the advancement that you have been working towards looks favourable at this time, you can make the final adjustments and push ahead.  If you find that the work you have put into a project does not look overly plausible perhaps you need to tweak things a little, or if things are not working at all, it might be time to let things go and begin anew.

Taurus is about building structures in life that will stand the test of time.  We are to slowly and persistently working towards this end.  You will notice that things may be moving slower than you would like but still progressing.  Taurus is slow but sure.  You have to remain steadfast and true to yourself, stay attuned to the energies, and make the best out of the situation. 

A failure, which is possible, is only a failure if this is how you wish to perceive it.  We always learn from our actions and this makes everything beneficial on some level.

SIMPLY ALLOW

In life, the choices are many.  The path you choose has many branches that can take you to places you are unaware of.  It is not fully a matter of timing and it is not fully a matter of knowing but both of these are part of the process.  Each step, each event, each lesson (good or challenging) are just meant to be.  Allowing the unfolding as it happens makes your experiences fewer challenges.  The stress comes when we fight the inevitable process.  The path is our choice but the destination is fixed.

You are in control of each decision.  You do have a voice in what takes place.  We are never at the mercy of life although sometimes it certainly feels that way.  We choose our reactions to each and every event in our lives. 

Acceptance is important...acceptance of what life throws our way.  Acceptance is not surrender -- far from it.  Set goals; take action and reach those goals but do not fight what has already happened in life.  This you cannot change BUT your attitude towards it....this you have full control over.  We make decisions.  These decisions can make the lessons difficult or they can allow the lessons to flow. 

What do you choose?

You can fight the lessons and make the lesson even more challenging or you can surrender to the lesson; accept and move forward.  Whatever choice you make, the lesson will be learned.  How it is learned is again your choice.  Your attitude, if adjusted here and there, can make your life so much more enjoyable.  There is no point in resisting unless you truly believe that you can make a turn that will create a much more easy experience for learning a specific lesson. 

You have choices which create alternate routes.  These may serve you in many different ways.  If the sub path you have chosen feels right, simply allow life to unfold.  If life suggests change, allow change.  If life suggests that you continue down the same road, follow that road.  When life dictates and you really have no choice then follow that road. 

Be open to all of the synchronicity in life.  Recognize what life is telling you.  Allow the unfolding of the greatest good.  Everything unfolds and the lessons necessary are always learned.  It is your choice if you take the higher road or the lower road, the easy path or the difficult route.  The road of least resistance certainly has its appeal.

SUN TRINE NEPTUNE

Mini Forecast for those with Sun in Scorpio

Neptune will be going direct once again on November 22, 2017.  Neptune will then stay direct until June 18, 2018.  While in its direct motion, Neptune characterizes such attributes as idealism and romanticism.  It also connects with such things as art, music and acting.  Neptune deals with mysticism and spirituality and our connection to the higher realms.  It can bring forth visions, inspirational writing, poetry and can heighten our psychic abilities. 

In its more adverse energies, it deals with deception and suffering.  It can reflect our inability to see things with total clarity and reflects misconceptions about ourselves especially when connected by adverse aspects to your Scorpio Sun.

Neptune moves about 1 to 2 degrees in forward motion in one year, so its effects while transiting any planet can be long lasting.  In some cases, its energies can be debilitating.  In contrast, its energies can be truly inspirational during the periods it is making contact in our lives.  Even under the free flowing energies of a trine or the opportunistic aspect of a sextile, it is still wise to obtain input from those you trust (and are not being influenced by the magical forces of a Neptunian aspects).  Neptune actually becomes more realistic and is generous when it is releasing its energies.

When Neptune is trine to the Sun, you may find that your attention is leaning towards the intangible.  You may find that the psychic realms, spirituality and mysticism come to the surface especially for those that have ignored such areas of concern before this aspect.  You may find that materialistic concerns seem to go by the wayside and you search for something with a deeper meaning ....something that is more relevant than let’s say your job or buying that new car.  Materialistic concerns are not that important when you are experiencing Neptune’s energies.

Some under this influence will move in directions of offering their time to charity organizations or will do volunteer work because they are searching for a deeper meaning to their otherwise unrewarding lifestyle.  Ego has to be put aside as personal concerns do not seem to be important under these energies.  You recognize the challenges that others may be experiencing and you would love to help them in some way.  You may just not be sure how to go about moving in this direction.  It is best just to move ahead and see what happens.  It is usually a very rewarding experience.

As mentioned earlier, your creativity will flow, and you can create art or write poetry that can stir much imagination.  You may be inspired to write and you should follow your heart at this time.  Inspiration stems from within and your connection to self in a more spiritual sense may be expanding, especially if Jupiter is part of this process.  The creative juices are flowing and some will do their best work under these conditions.  Remember whatever you put in place at this time can be reviewed when Neptune goes into retrograde once again in June of 2018. 

Neptune increases your sensitivity, and your perception into other people is magnified at this time.  You can work this in your favour and help others in their plight.  You have the opportunity and the will to assist them in ways you never thought you could.  Make sure you use these energies in ways that benefit others but also open the door to a clearer understanding of the mystical side of your own personal life.  You can use these energies in positive ways and the worst thing you can do is to do nothing but dream about what is possible.

Neptune will be between 11 and 16 degrees in Pisces during this period, and you can have a look at the other planets around this degree in your natal chart.  See how the energies play out in your life.  You can use an orb of 3-5 degrees approaching and 2-4 degrees separating.  Make sure you look at the houses being influenced by this transit.  This will tell you what areas of life are being stimulated.
