TRANSITING VENUS CONJUNCT NATAL SUN

Venus, in transit, takes over one year to complete its cycle around the Sun.  It takes approximately 18 months from one retrograde period to the next and its retrograde cycle is approximately 40 days in length. 

Many have Venus conjunct the Sun in their birth chart as it is never more than 48 degrees away from the Sun. 

Venus is a feminine planetary influence and is linked to the sense of touch, material things and love.  It has to do with kindness and politeness and adds a flair for wanting to be around beautiful things. 

When Venus is direct in its motion, its energies want to manifest harmony, peace, beauty and love.  When it is retrograde, its energies are the reverse, often taking on energies similar to that of Mars.  With this retrograde influence, we can becomes more aggressive and the drive may still be towards gaining material abundance although when it is attached to business activities, its influence is often to slow things down or even move into reverse for a while.  Check you chart to see if Venus is in retrograde or direct motion.  This will define how the energies will be released when activated.

Venus when in conjunction to the Sun will only have a lasting influence of about 10 days unless it moves into retrograde.  If this is the case, it can last much longer.  Much will depend on the energies of other planetary influences during the same period that Venus is aspecting your Sun.  This Astrologer only uses the transits of outer planets to natal Venus as the energies are often far too short to make any significant changes to one’s life (when using the energies of the inner planets).  However, Venus’ cycle will still have an impact on what takes place in your life but its influence will be quite short lived.

You will find that the feelings of affection are increased and your sensitivities are also enhanced during this aspect.  You may want more social time with others and you will express yourself in a comfortable manner.  Venus and the Sun usually go together very well and unless there are other mitigating factors making challenging angles to this conjunction, it generally is quite favourable.  You may feel inclined to go out and enjoy yourself, and to look after your own needs.  You may find relaxation in what you enjoy and the challenging conditions in life may be swept away at least for a while. 

Sometimes with this aspect, you will need to make things happen.  Other times, things just seem to flow your way.  Sitting back and waiting for life, however, is never a good idea.  Take life under your wing and have some fun.

You may run into someone that adds meaning to your life at this time.  This applies to both women and men, but Venus usually indicates the female gender.  Women, in general, may be lots of fun to be with now.  This aspect affects both men and women although the women seem to enjoy these energies a little more than men.

CREATION IN THE MAKING

Does your life stimulate you? 

Do you feel the urge to push forward but you are not too sure what direction that push should be in?

TRANSITING JUPITER CONJUNCT PLUTO (Those born between 1984 and 1995)

Pluto was in Scorpio from 1984 to 1995.  It then moved into Sagittarius in 1995.  This transit of Jupiter conjunct Pluto will affect those born with their Pluto in Scorpio (born 1984-1995). 

Jupiter moved into Scorpio in October of 2017 and will remain in this sign until the fall of 2018.  You will have to check your own personal Natal Astrology Chart to see which degree your Pluto is in to establish when (during the mentioned time frame) Jupiter will conjunct your natal Pluto.  Allow an orb of 5 degrees approaching and 2 degrees separating.  The greatest impact will be when these two planets are in close conjunction with one another (one degree or less).  Also look at which house this transit takes place in as well as the natal position of Jupiter.  This information will provide you with information on the areas of life that will be affected by this transit.

With this transit, there is a remarkable push to gain power over something you have probably been working on for some time.  Now is the time for you to achieve what you have set out to do and there is no shortage of energy and drive for you to accomplish.  This objective will be important to you at this time.  What this means to others is not important. 

Your ambitious drive is very powerful at this time, and you can use it to your benefit.  The only problem is that you may get some opposition from those in authority as you may be trying to override them in some way or another.

FULL MOON IN GEMINI - DECEMBER 3, 2017

We will be experiencing the energies of a Full Moon in Gemini on December 3, 2017.  As most of our readers are aware, the Full Moon represents a culmination or harvest of our efforts we planted on the New Moon cycle of Gemini some six months ago.  This is not always the case for our shorter term ambitions but quite often fits with long term goals.

The Full Moon energies will be the time when you can fully move forward with your objectives especially when it comes to taking a course, reading materials of interest, formulating actions based on the written material and intellectual pursuits as these are the energies of Gemini.  We can expand these energies to include schooling of almost any kind, teaching and in general moving ahead with any learning material or perhaps the signing of documents as you should now be ready. 

In addition to the energies of the Full Moon on December 3, 2017, Mercury also goes retrograde, and Mercury’s retrograde motion suggests that you review all of your material before moving forward and then move forward when it becomes direct again on December 22, 2017.  The Full Moon is telling us to harvest but Mercury is saying not to.  I it is suggesting that we do completely review what we have planned and what we have done to see these plans to fruition and then on December 22, 2017, move forward.

If upon review of the research and prep work you have carried out to this point, you find that in some ways it does not meet the full criteria, perhaps you will need to do some crunching and recalibrate the material to tweak it a little.  If you find that there are many flaws in what you have been trying to accomplish, this will be the time when you may scrap the idea altogether.

You will be able to honestly review all of actions and prep work to this point.  You can decide what is best for the project at hand.

This Full Moon is at 11 degrees Gemini.  Currently, Neptune is at 11 degrees Pisces which will square this Full Moon’s position perhaps making our sense of direction a little murky and unclear.  Neptune can cloud things and make decision making difficult.  Neptune’s energy will start to dissipate in February. 2018, and perhaps this might be the better time to push ahead with your plans, although by the end of December, 2017, you should be able to move forward with your plans if you feel comfortable.  The fog will begin to clear when Neptune is around 13 degrees. 

Through transit, Jupiter is at 11 degrees Scorpio at this time, although Jupiter will be clear by mid-December, 2017.  The aspect between the Full Moon and Jupiter is an quincunx suggesting some alterations and adjustments to your plans may be in order. 

You will also need to check which house this Full Moon falls into in your natal chart as this will be the area of life that is being highlighted.  This information will give you some guidance as to what these energies are speaking about.  Also have a look to see if you have any planets in your birth chart at or near to this degree.  These birth planets will also play into this equation.

If you feel ready, but are afraid to move forward, this may be caused by Neptune and perhaps you will need to rise above these energies.  Square aspects in Astrology do provide motivation and although there may be some stumbling blocks in the way, they can be quite minor.  You may just need to have faith in the process.  If by chance your attempt does not pan out then it just means you were not fully prepared and you can have a closer look at how you might rectify the situation and then move ahead at a later date.  Timing is quite important.

FARSIGHTEDNESS

As we journey forward we sometimes have to take a moment to see the potential that lies in front of us.  Are we rigid in our thinking or are we open enough to broaden our knowledge by being open which in turn will allow us to expand? 

It is very comfortable in our present living conditions, and we can become complacent and find ourselves stationary.  We are content to stay in this comfort zone as we are afraid to “rattle the cage”.

Sometimes we need to envision the future and see what lies ahead.  We have to utilize our dreams and push towards new growth, even thought the current circumstance feel so very comfortable.  Living in the here and now is our ideal goal but being in the moment does not mean that we have to stay in the same place.  We always have choices along the way and can utilize whatever our current life is offering us at anytime if we wish to take advantage.  We might have to push a little, however, to realize it is necessary to keep moving on the river of life.

Life unfolds as it should, and we really do not have to do anything yet we can also utilize the energies at hand to cover more ground.  Life has always been in our hands, even when we felt as though we were being swept away by the current.  How we react to our journey is our choice.  We have the full ability to channel our thoughts and expectations into a direction that can help us achieve what we need to.

It is perfectly fine to have a plan.  Reach into the future, but live now.  Just because we are riding the current, doesn’t mean we cannot pick up a paddle and help with the journey.  Dream your dreams and set your goals.  Without goals what is the point of pushing.  Strive for something and reach out beyond what is in front of you.  Be open to whatever the outcome may be.  When we are not flexible with our focus, we may hit large barriers.  Become farsighted.  See the barriers ahead and do not ride blindly.  Grab your paddle and let’s see what lies ahead.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE SQUARE THE SUN (Mini Forecast Part III)

This forecast is for those with Sun in Sagittarius and for those with Sun in Gemini

If your Sun is either in Sagittarius or Gemini around the 11 degree mark, you have transiting Neptune squaring your Sun.  Neptune has probably been in square to your Sun for up to 1 ½ years, and I would imagine that you have been struggling with the energies and are getting a little fed up with uncertainty in your life’s direction.  You have probably been somewhat lost and in search for some answers for some time and although previous to this time you might have felt in control of your destiny, under this influence you are wondering if things will ever clear up.

You may have been experiencing a time of bewilderment as your work seems to be in a state of flux and goals seem out of reach.  Illusive could be a word that fits the time while Neptune is making this square.  You may feel as though you have lost your bearings and even feel unsure of who you are and your place in the world.  Part of you may feel as though it is useless to even pursue anything out of fear of failure or defeat.  You may feel depressed and disillusioned even unsure of what reality actually looks like.  This is a trying period and fixating yourself in a more positive direction may be challenging but absolutely essential.

Neptune in transit can be felt as far away as 5 degrees prior to direct contact by some more sensitive individuals, but will slowly fade away as it gets 2 to 3 degrees past direct.  Recognizing Neptune’s tendency to keep things out of focus can help you to understand the forces currently at work.  Life can be vague and unclear, and all this uncertainty will make you reach further within for some comfort and solace.  Centering yourself and building an inner core is part of the process during this influence.

This is a particularly appropriate time to reach out to mysticism and the psychic connection, because although goals and life’s direction may feel somewhat off, the mystical channels can open for you, especially if you have other links in your natal chart that identify these latent connections that can now surface.  Neptune is currently in Pisces.  Between the two Sun signs (Gemini and Sagittarius) Sagittarius might be open to such suggestions while Gemini might not be willing to go the extra mile in order to open the door to the mystic realm.  Gemini individual would prefer what it is right in front of them, although many will digest some of the mystical side of life just for the sake of learning.  There is some restlessness in both signs but particularly so with Gemini.

Above all else, your inner sense of self needs nourishing and the influence of positive energy is essential during this cycle in your life.  Steer clear of any self-defeatist attitudes and do not run away from any problems you might be encountering.  Do not hide your head in the sand; face life head on and deal with any adversity.  Do not sit and wallow in self perceived misery and although you feel as though you want to be by yourself, make sure you surround yourself with good company.  You need the help of trusted friends and people that will offer positive feedback to this very temporary situation.  Their clarity over the situations might help you to understand more clearly what is taking place in your life.  Stay put in life and know that things will soon clear and that an opening is in sight.
