FULL MOON IN TAURUS OCTOBER 24

We will experience the full moon in Taurus today, October, 24, 2018, at 12:47 p.m. EDT

For those of you who are new to reading our posts, the full moon’s energies are a time to reap the harvest of the seeds that you sowed during the New Moon that was in the sign of Taurus some six months ago.  The New Moon speaks of new beginnings and the Full Moon speaks of results of our actions.  We reap what we sow and our efforts over time will determine whether we harvest a bumper crop or weed out what has not grown.  Much will depend on the energy we have put into our garden of life and how we followed up on ideas as the project began to materialize.

A Full Moon in Taurus often suggests that what was put in place or planted during the New Moon phase has something to do with material acquisitions.  This could include buying a home, building a career, setting goals in place that would have a lasting effect and the building of security.  Taurus is steadfast, wants reliability, needs structure and is slow to act as its energies want to insure that everything is in place before plunging into whatever area of life is indicated by the house placement in your personal chart of this Full Moon which is at 1 degree of Taurus.

The Moon is conjunct transiting Uranus, often suggesting upheavals, disruptions, changes and sometimes speaks of new directions to follow.  Uranus is abrupt and unconventional and when linked with the Moon in Taurus, the energies do not mix together well.  One seeks security and one pushes for change, although often the changes lead to a place where we are meant to go. 

We can basically expect the unexpected when it comes to Uranus as it can be a bit of a trailblazer.  Anything that no longer suits our objectives and personal growth will be challenged and either we make changes and adjust our direction or we push in a completely different direction.  This will be tied closely to the house position of transiting Uranus, not only the house position of the Moon.  One important thing to consider is that this Full Moon has its greatest impact if you have something in your natal chart which becomes activated by its position.

We are also experiencing a fixed T-Square with the Sun and Moon in opposition and both making a tight square to the transiting North Node.  T-Squares, although challenging, provide a strong push to achieve what we set out to do.  The T-Square seeks balance and activity, and you will need to push yourself in order to succeed. 

The North Node speaks of our path in life; in transit it speaks of the path we need to take now.  There may be some frustration with moving in that direction.  Locate this placement in your chart and then look at the opposite house of the focal planet (in this case the North Node and the South Node is always in direct opposition to the North Node).

The South Node has to do with falling back into a comfortable situation defined by the house placement and what you need to do is push ahead with your objectives and to not be held back by that which feels comfortable and familiar.  The North Node offers a new direction.  This fixed T-Square will provide you with the necessary drive to move ahead even through any adversities that might appear along the way.  Determination is strong and your will can push you when you need it to.  It is time to move ahead in a constructive manner but at the same time try to not hurt anyone along the way because of your need to pushed to meet your own personal objectives. Find the balance here.

LIVE YOUR LIFE

Don’t wait to grow old before you allow yourself to be comfortable with whom you are.  In order to understand who you are, do not avoid addressing internal issues.  Encourage personal inner reflection and self-evaluation.  Reflection does not insinuate judgement, however.  Identify concepts and ideas that feel right deep within.   Distinguish the difference between preconceived notions and those ideas that give you goose bumps.  Preconceived notions and taught boundaries only serve to stifle our belief in ourselves and what we will be capable of doing.

Be who you are (within) at this very moment.  You will change with each life event so who you were yesterday could be only a shadow of who you are today, if you do not reside behind the closed door of limitations.  It is so important is to be yourself, no matter who or what opposes you.  Be comfortable in your skin.  You are an original masterpiece not a copy. 

Make goals; set your own high standards that you and you alone will attain.  Climb your own personal ladder of life.

Vocational aspirations are part of this earthly life.  Family, friends and our homes are also part of this earthly existence.  Enjoy what life offers and again, allow the joy that each moment brings.  Joy is a choice.

SUN IN SCORPIO - OCTOBER 23, 2018

The Sun moves from the sign Libra into the sign Scorpio on October 23, 2018. 

Scorpio is a fixed, water sign suggesting that there is stability, structure and permanence along with emotional expression linked to this sign.  These people are determined, often inflexible and strong willed and can be quite stubborn.  Once they decide on a course of action, they will pursue it relentlessly rarely wavering or changing their position.

Scorpio individuals can be obstinate and will persistently pursue their objectives.  In general they have what it takes to see things through regardless of obstacles that seem to stand in their way.  They do not seem to tire and will relentlessly push themselves to the extreme.  They have commanding will-power and seem to be quiet purposeful. 

Do not stand in their way as their staying power is strong and relentless.  They can carry out tedious work, are rarely passive in their approach and are known to be steadfast and often seem to be powerful individuals. 

Scorpio individuals will stand by others, protect their innocence, if this is the case, and also fight against any wrongdoings with persistent and diligent effort.

It would be unwise to cross a Scorpio, as the less evolved Scorpion individuals will seek revenge and can be nothing short of a relentless enemy.  They have been known to be vindictive and jealous and can be a force to be reckoned with.  They can hold on to hurt indefinitely, waiting for the appropriate moment to get back at the individual who wronged them. 

On the other side, Scorpio individuals are seekers of inner truth, deeply introspective, transformative, regenerative and restorative.  They can be subject to change but not until they have gone through careful evaluation and they will take an in-depth approach to what they find. 

Scorpio has a reputation linked to sexual promiscuity.  Their sexual expression is quite natural and many Scorpions do feel comfortable when expressing their sexual nature.  The sexual expression and the sexual drive are actually linked more precisely to Mars.  Someone with their Mars in Scorpio may have a greater appetite for sexual activities, may be sensual and some may have difficulties containing their sexual hunger. 

Those with their Sun in Scorpio, however, may be somewhat promiscuous, particularly in their early life, when sexual exploration is enticing.  As they mature, they can be quite loyal to their partner and most will learn to curb their sexual appetite.  Much of course depends on what sign Mars is in within the natal chart, and in some cases, those with strong Taurus energy in their chart, will be the ones that have a romantic inclination or reflect strong sensual expressions.

Transiting Jupiter has been in the sign of Scorpio since October 2017.  Transiting Jupiter, at times since then has retrograded back and forth but always within Scorpio.  Jupiter moves into the sign of Sagittarius on November 9, 2018.  Those with their Sun in the sign of Scorpio will have had this conjunction occurring in their natal chart off and on in some cases for about one year (Much depends on the degree of their Scorpio Sun). 

The qualities of inner reflection, transformation and regeneration have occurred with these Scorpion people over the last year while Jupiter conjuncts this sign.  Conjunctions add intensity and tend to expand on the energies of the sign especially when connected to Jupiter.  Jupiter brings with it expansion, opportunities, good luck, philosophical understanding and growth during this period.  The house of the natal Sun will be reflective of the area of life that has gone through transformative experiences.  This may be deep and reflective or can be out in the open for all to see.  It can be internal or external.  The potential for something to surface and be acknowledged by others is more intense if it is connected to an angle, or at the beginning of a house cusp.

2018 Positive Pursuits Psychic & Holistic Fairs - Collingwood & Barrie

PROGRESSED JUPITER

Jupiter’s energies deal with fair play.  It reflects moral and religious involvements.  Jupiter brings expansion, good luck and optimistic potentials.  It is the planet of growth in material terms as well as expansion when it comes to life’s circumstances and how you can relate to this from a positive perspective.  When Jupiter makes positive aspects to other planets and points in the Zodiac, there are great opportunities for conditions to turn out favourably. 

The house position occupied by progressed Jupiter is where you will find opportunities to gain knowledge.  Jupiter also has to do with travel, courts of law and lawsuits.  In general, when Jupiter progresses through the chart, these or some of these areas of life may be highlighted, especially if Jupiter happens to be in the ninth house.  Jupiter also governs publishing, higher education and learning through experience.

Each house’s cusp advances one degree per year through progression.  Jupiter moves slower than the progressed houses and it is important to notice where Jupiter is in the natal chart and the houses it moves through during progression.  These few houses (can be only one and usually not more than three in a life time) will become areas of life that are affected by the progression of Jupiter in your chart.

You will also need to take into consideration any aspects that might come into play from the other progressed planets as well as transiting planets that make contacts during Jupiter’s slow movement through your specific house(s).

If Jupiter passes across your MC (Midheaven) the opportunities for growth in your profession has great potential especially if it is well aspected.  You will also have to look at the overall condition of Jupiter in your natal chart as this will determine how great the success will be.  A poorly aspected natal Jupiter does not promote in ways that a well aspected Jupiter does. 

When (and if) Jupiter passes over your MC, you may have opportunities for a promotion or may gain positive influence from people of higher positions.  Travel or relocation might be on the agenda during the year Jupiter sits directly on these angles.  I personally use an orb of 20 minutes for Jupiter as it approaches and 15 minutes when it separates in progressions. 

Progressed Jupiter on the ASC (ascendant) opens the door in very personal ways with less restrictions or obstacles for you.  It might indicate a new relationship or expansion in the family.  Prosperity and good luck seem to find their way to you.  Since Jupiter has to do with law suits and legalities, when Jupiter is on the Ascendant or Midheaven, the potential for legal things to go well are increased.

Jupiter on the DC (descendant) once again offers opportunities for marriage or opportunities to promote a new organization or affiliation with someone who can be of benefit to you in a business opportunity. 

Jupiter on the IC suggests changes within the home or with family members usually on a positive note.  It is a good time to buy real estate or your monetary values in these areas may increase.  However as mentioned previously, always take into consideration other transits and review what they are indicating.  Also a reminder to review the overall condition of Jupiter is in the birth chart to get the complete story.

OBSTACLES AND OBSTRUCTIONS

Our personal journey can be littered with what we consider challenging conditions and situations.  It is our obligation to our self to hand over our view of “complicated” and refocus on the “valuable lessons”.  It is much easier to accept lessons than to focus on hurdles and challenges.  We accept lessons, take the information learned and then can move forward with newly acquired knowledge.

When we are caught in “hurdles” and “walls” mentality, there will be times when we believe we have no way out and our options are limited at best.  There actually is no avoiding some of life’s conditions but our acceptance of the situation can somehow make these events easier.  Attitude plays such a significant part in how events affect us.  Our attitude may not change the event but it can alter the emotional outcome.  We can find comfort and acceptance which in turn fosters a gentle knowing that life is about to take an alternate route.

Some situations and losses are seldom easy but through acceptance and faith in the process, we adapt and adjust to these changes.  Our minds, when allowed to run unchecked, play games with us and fabricate all kinds of melodramatic outcomes that rarely manifest in their full expression.

Change is guaranteed in life.  The question is will we fight the changes and allow our minds to create havoc or will we accept change as it happens adjusting our focus on the benefits of each event as it takes place.  Some days the benefit is hard to see.  Our attitude can be our greatest companion or our most feared enemy. 

We are born fighters.  Even our entry into this existence is a hard fought battle.  But we overcome and make our way. 

We cannot lose sight of the potentials that lie ahead.  Stay strong and have faith in yourself and in life.  Things may not turn out how we “wished” them to but know that on some level we will emerge victorious……..always!

TRANSITING NEPTUNE QUINCUNX SUN

While Neptune transits the natal chart, it is important that we see things as they are, not as we wish them to be. 

Neptune tends to colour our view and often puts a haze or veil on situations.  The saying “Seeing through rose-colored glasses” fits this situation perfectly as, under this influence, we tend to put people or life’s conditions high on a pedestal. 

This can become disheartening when the veil is lifted and we finally see things as they actually are.  Much, of course, will depend on the aspects that transiting Neptune is making to other natal planets as well as the planets involved and the houses they are located in within the Astrology chart.  The house Neptune is transiting through will also be of utmost importance as this is reflective of the area of life which is involved along with the Sun’s placement by house position with our example aspect today of transiting Neptune Quincunx (150 degrees) the natal Sun.

The Sun has to do with life goals and ambitions and our ability to succeed in life.  It helps us find our path in life, controls our destiny, deals with our vitality and sometimes refers to the father or important masculine people in our life. 

When Neptune is in transit to our Sun by quincunx, also known as inconjunct, it often speaks of a time when we need to or should make some alterations or adjustments to our plans.  Neptune can make us a little dreamy about what it is we want to manifest in our life.  The quincunx aspect has also been linked to health concerns but there has to be other factors pointing in the same direction in the chart for this to have any influence.

Sometimes these adjustments are rather subtle in nature, and we do not have to do too much in order to get on the real track.  Other times, this is not the case.  We may have been fooling ourselves for some time. This can suggest that it is time for a reality check although at other times we can get inspirational assistance once we begin to make alterations and accept what is in front of us.  We might want to go to outside sources for further guidance on what it is we are doing or what it is we believe is happening.

Much will depend on the house transiting Neptune is moving through.  Neptune moves slowly and will spend many years in one house.  This area of life will become activated when it transits other natal positions.  We will also need to see where natal Neptune is located in the chart as this provides further information as to what areas of life are involved and how things might unfold.  The natal aspects to Neptune will also provide information that might assist with understanding what is taking place.

If transiting Neptune makes favorable aspects to other natal positions, this can be a time of great revelation and intuitive insight.  The psychic realms can become more intriguing, and you should pursue these expressions and delve deeper to get an understanding of what this might mean for you.  Neptune is a mystical planet and offers insight into the psychic realm. 

You can allow an orb of influence of 5-7 degrees approaching and as it nears exactitude, the energies will strengthen.  The energies begin to fade as Neptune passes out of orb after being direct by 2 degrees of separation.  If Neptune moves into retrograde during this timeframe, it can have several passes over the same degree and be quite influential.  The first exact pass however, is usually the most powerful.
