NEW MOON - MARCH 6, 2019

We are experiencing a New Moon at 15 degrees in the sign of Pisces, today March 6, 2019. 

A New Moon’s energies are conducive to new beginnings.  They are a great time to forge ahead with plans, especially those of Piscean nature for this New Moon due to its current position in the sign of Pisces.  In a positive sense, this can be related to projects of a personal or business nature connected to mystical and/or psychic expressions.

Whether a novice or a veteran with these areas, you will find a rush of activity related to the psychic, spiritual or occult fields due to the sextile from Mars. 

Often Pisces, especially when connected to Neptune, can emphasize vagueness in perception.  Neptune is closely aligned with this New Moon’s placement and is conjunct this position currently at 16 degrees of Pisces. 

Although potentially vague or out of focus, Saturn will enhance the clarity of this positioning due to its sextile from Capricorn at 18 degrees.  Saturn tends to bring things into focus and makes perception much more reliable and concise.  Mars will likely energize these positions and bring vitality and a strong push for those that have these areas of interest in their focus.

BUILDING IN STRENGTH

Do you see life in stages?  Do you recognize life’s lessons?

What stage are you at? 

Now let’s do that again, without any type of judgement.  Let’s just note the facts and it doesn’t matter if they are good or bad, right or wrong. 

It feels different looking at life that way, doesn’t it!

What have you learned over the past year and how has it affected you?  Do you feel stronger?  Are you more in touch? 

The inner self has great resilience.  At times, we may believe that we are regressing in the physical world, but in reality, our outer personality may be dormant yet we are strengthening our inner core. 

We are specifically referring to this inner core.  Our soul of higher self is the foundation of who we are and can always be relied upon.  

When we suggest a review, we are referring to is the individual that we are building throughout the process of this life.  This “inner self” we refer to (not the soul) is the outer layers of the onion, if you will, that we are currently growing (but remember this is not the thinking mind either).  The inner self is not the mind, as thoughts are generated through expectation or past experience.  The inner self is the one that has been a spectator for all of these life experiences and is more adept at handling life’s lessons than our responsive, mental self.

If you are currently feeling somewhat lost and that life is being rough-handed and that life is seemingly pulling you in all different directions, know that the fog will lift and the grip will release.  That lost part is only the thinking mind.  The warmth of the light will eventually burn off the fog and you will see clearly again.  You will gain in resilience from your experiences as that is what they are, lessons to grow from not hurdles to keep you down. 

These trials and tribulations strengthen our resolve.... our belief in one’s self as we learn to overcome.  Through these harder lessons we gain momentum and we grow.  We are constantly learning through life’s experience and growth occurs through these experiences.  Without life lessons, we would stagnate.

Life is full of twists and turns, and we will learn to ride the wave.  Sometimes life moves along almost perfectly and other times life can be like a volcano either waiting to erupt or vigorously spewing lava.  Remember these times are beneficial.  Our thoughts about these experiences are what determine how we react to them and what affect they will have on us.  If we focus on the challenging parts of the lesson, the lesson will be extremely difficult.  If we focus on the value of these lessons, the experience will be beneficial. 

The choice is ours.  We can do a professional job using professional tools or we can do an amateur job and ignore the tools at hand.  The more we practice with the tools available, the more precise we become applying them. 

Many of these life experiences have been put in place for our greater good and we are equipped to deal with these experiences either on our own or with help when we ask for assistance.  We are never at the mercy of life, but we are at the mercy of our thoughts.  Be wary of negative thoughts.  They have no real benefit whatsoever.  

Live in the moment and keep reminding yourself of this so that it becomes second nature.  The ego mind is silenced when we are in the moment and through that silence, we can focus on what is important.

Can we take a moment to remind ourselves of the blessings that have come, the blessings that are bestowed upon us regularly in our day-to-day lives?  

Pay heed to how life is good in so many different ways.  Stay focused on these things so that you can draw more of the same your way.

VOID OF COURSE MOON

There have been many inquiries concerns the Void Of Course Moon. 

Many individuals that use Astrology as a regular tool put great emphasis on the Void Of Course periods.

The Moon will frequently go Void Of Course and you can produce a print out for when this happens on many sites.  Make sure that you use your current location when creating the table. 

The Moon is the fastest moving object in Astrology.  It moves through a sign in approximately 2 ½ days.  As it moves through each sign of the Zodiac, it makes a final aspect to a planet while in its orbit until it moves into the next sign.  The void of course period is between the final aspect of one sign to the first aspect in the next sign. 

For example, the Moon makes an aspect to Jupiter at 27 degrees 14 minutes in Aries and then it does not make another aspect until it makes one to Neptune at 1 degree 9 minutes in Taurus.  This period between 27 degrees 14 minutes Aries and 1 degree 9 minutes Taurus is a Moon Void Of Course (VOC) period.

This VOC period will affect every living thing on our planet.  The periods will vary, however, depending on where you live.  It is therefore very important that you are using the correct time zone for where you live.   

In general, people during this VOC period are not completely tuned into what is going on.  They tend to disconnect from the normal state of consciousness and could be considered detached and airy from a mental perspective.  This is not to say that they are completely disconnected, but they are not completely grounded either.

The Moon’s energy has rule over the subconscious, and is connected to the emotions and feeling networks of all individuals.  The sign and house position varies for each individual; hence our different and variable emotional expressions. 

During these VOC periods, which can last from a few minutes or perhaps even seconds to up to three days, our decision making can be unreliable and in some cases unworkable.  People tend to make decisions that often turn out to be challenging as our judgement can be impaired.  Many decisions that we make during these periods often require some modification or correction later on.  In many cases, things just do not work out as favourably as they could which can cause delays and major frustrations as we have to rework what was done under these influences.

What we set out to do often heads in a different direction and can be costly or defective.  We may make decisions with unrealistic expectations which lead to mistakes and inaccuracies. 

If at all possible, it is best to wait until the VOC Moon makes an aspect in the next sign.  However, if you have little choice and you have to move forward, you can expect some delays or unexpected twists in your plans.  You may have to reformulate your plans at a later date.  This is not something that is overly important and pertinent to our overall life’s experience but can certainly be inconvenient at the time.

In our next astrology post on March 8, 2019, we will look specifically at some things that should be avoided and also look at how we can utilize these energies favourably.

MINI FORECAST FOR PISCES (Part two)

Continuing from our previous Astrology post on February 27, 2019, we will go a little deeper into forecasting in the upcoming year for those born under the sign of Pisces.

We previously talked about the conjunction of Neptune to the Sun which suggests the potential for free flowing energies related to spirituality and also the potential for some illusiveness attached to what is unfolding. 

In this post, we will delineate the sextile from transiting Pluto.  Remember to use an orb of no more than eight degrees with you Piscean Sun’s position to see if this post applies to you.  It is also important to remember that this transit will move throughout the year and that the closer it is in relationship to your Sun’s natal position (in sign and degree), the more profound its influence will be.

Sextiles are fortunate aspects and often speak of opportunities coming into our lives.  In most cases these potential opportunities do not manifest without some assistance and concentrated use of these energies on our part.  We have to not only allow these energies to be release but we need to push ahead so that we make the best of these opportunities.  Sometimes these opportunities fall into our lap and sometimes they do not, but without a push from those experiencing the sextile, the potential for favourable outcomes is lessened. 

When we speak of the Sun, we can be referring to our vitality, our life’s path, goals and aspirations and in some cases it refers to our fathers.  When we put Pluto into the equation, and recalling that the energies of Pluto speak in terms of evolution, transformation and regeneration, this is what Pluto can do with these goals and objectives.  Pluto has a tendency to put an end to matters that no longer serve a viable purpose in order for something new to begin.  However in most cases, Pluto’s action is quite finite and absolute.  There is little chance for half-way measures and it takes us to where we need to go.

Pluto generally works in subtle ways, at least at first.  Its energies give us indications that a change is needed and a new direction is at hand.  These energies are very powerful and if we choose not to heed what is being indicated, the energies will come toward us in a much more aggressive manner.  Pluto causes disruption, sometimes through violent action, especially if this aspect were a square or opposition or even a conjunction in your chart.  However, this is a sextile which signifies that the energies are more pleasant although still powerful.  Pluto’s action is often inevitable and fighting the process may be useless and will likely stir up activity in a less than comfortable manner.

While deciphering these energies in your Piscean chart, it is imperative that you not only look at what houses transiting Pluto and your natal Sun are in, but you will also have to look at the natal position of Pluto and the its natal potential as well as other transits aspecting this position. 

Looking into the whole picture will provide you with a clearer perspective on how these energies might play out as well as what areas of life will likely be involved.  However a full review of your natal chart and the transits from other planets to natal planetary positions is always advised in order to get the full picture of the energies in force at any given time.

CLEARING BLOCKS

Lack of action on important issues tends to hold us back from our natural growth or progression.  Throughout life we accept ideologies and concepts and take them on as our own without any investigation particularly when we are quite young.  Once we accept these concepts without question, we can struggle to integrate these concepts into our lives.  Many of our personal ideologies are based on what has been ingrained in us by society and from the expectations of others.  Many of us want to fit in especially when we are young, and we mold ourselves into something we are not so that we do not stand out in the crowd.

Our personal concepts can be very limiting.  What do you believe is attainable?  What do you believe you are capable of doing, of learning, of receiving? 

These limiting beliefs are created in our minds and then are reflecting in our reality.  We categorize everything.  Everything in life has to be able to fit in a neat little box. 

What do you expect is in store for you in this lifetime?  Do your expectations place limits and restrictions on your growth and abilities?

The conditions of our lives change as we change our self-made restrictions.

So many individuals are lost in the search, expecting to get nowhere and as a result of these expectations they have created this as their reality.  Their life will be a life of searching not realizing that they have actually created this perpetual need for more.  

If they were to stop for a moment and examined the moment for what it is, they would come to the realization that what they are search for is already part of who they are.  They were so busy looking, they forgot to see.

Everything we want for ourselves is attainable as it lies in waiting within us.  The only barriers there are is our belief that there are barriers.  Do not let you past condition you into something you are not.  If you were told you could not do something brilliant, erase that statement and start over.  You can and you will if you believe you can. 

Are you willing to review the structures you have build in your mind?  Do you have a willingness to go beyond the confines of what you consider truth or those limiting lessons that you have been taught? 

Climb out of the box and think beyond it.

Each day brings something new to ponder and we take on whatever we wish to make our own.  We can be forever lost in the search and can be unaware that the search itself is what is hindering our awareness of what and who we actually are. Alternatively, we can see the moment as all that we have and utilize it to its fullest without expectations or limitations.

The key is our belief structures and if we can understand this fully, we can experience endless and limitless experiences.  Understanding the control we have in the process begins a spiral of endless potential.

MINI FORECAST FOR THOSE WITH SUN IN PISCES, 2019

For those individuals with their Sun sign in Pisces, this upcoming year can play a significant role with opening doors through deep and reflective self-analysis. 

Transiting Pluto will be making a sextile to your Sun if your Sun is between 13-29 degrees of Pisces.  The natal positioning between Pluto and Neptune has been in play (by sextile) for many generations.  This aspect in the Natal chart (review you natal chart to see the other aspects that may be affecting these two planets as all of this will now become active).  Pay particular attention to the natal positioning by sign and house as well as the transiting position of Pluto.

This sextile is linked to spiritual insight and the awakening to higher sources.  Enlightenment can make its way through on these channels if the Piscean individual is open to these energies.  Through self-analysis, careful study and delving deep into their own personal psychology, these doors can swing open.  Some important material may surface during this time and the Piscean individual’s perspective and approach to these matters will be important.

Pluto has a tendency to bring things to the surface and often forces us to examine ourselves deeply.  Some will find that it brings to the surface dark matters that may have been dormant for some time in their subconscious.  Through this surfaced information, they can delve deep to uncover what they might do to extinguish or at the very least recognize these internal fires.  Issues, if they surface, can now be dealt with according to the openness and honesty that these individuals decide to apply to these matters.
