FULL MOON JUNE 17/2019

On Monday, June 17, 2019, at 4:31 a.m. EDT, we will be enjoying a Full Moon at 25 degrees in the sign of Sagittarius. 

A Full Moon is the time to harvest the seeds we have planted and nurtured in life.  It is the time to enjoy the results of our efforts.  The plans set in motion have reached a point where we can view our objectives and realize our progress, or reset our focus and make changes.  If we find that the seeds have been sowed in barren soil, it may be the time to walk away from our fruitless efforts.

Sagittarius has to do with life’s philosophy and spiritual undertakings.  In many cases Sagittarius’ energies can also be related to visionary quests with religious overtones (not necessarily traditional).  Sagittarius is optimistic and open-minded.  A Sagittarius influence wishes for nothing better than to offer up something positive that is growth oriented. 

Sagittarius has big ideas and expansion is part of its process.  There are no half-measures and in many ways it’s all or nothing.  When Sagittarius is involved, getting back up on our feet if we are to fall is not that difficult and beginning again is always an option.

It will be important to take into consideration what house 25 degrees of Sagittarius falls within in your natal chart.  This will be the area of life that is now ready for growth and expansion.  Part of the process, however, is to be realistic in your approach and not to expect way too much.  Take one step at a time.  Being patient and consistent over the long haul will prove rewarding more often than not.  Shooting for the stars is always a good idea but falling short might be more reasonable.  The higher you aim, the greater the reward but do not allow ego or your expectations cause a feeling of failure if you fall short.  Focus on what was accomplished not what fell short.

It will be important for you to check your natal chart and see if any planets or angles fall in conjunction or opposition to this degree of Sagittarius at 25.  The conjunction will tie in to the position of the Moon while the opposition will tie in with the position of the Sun.  Full Moons are always in direct opposition to the Sun, while New Moons are always in conjunction with the Sun.  The more planets that you have in your natal chart in and around 25 degrees, the stronger the influence of this Full Moon’s placement in your personal Astrology chart.

MOVING FORWARD INTO UNCHARTED TERRITORY

Life can run relatively smooth and then seemingly out of nowhere, we are suddenly propelled into unknown territory.  Sometimes, for example, we are forced to leave a long term relationship and as a result we are removed from a comfortable situation.  Sometimes the breakup is unbearable and we feel as though moving into these uncharted waters is frightening and oh so foreign. 

It is important to allow the necessary time to become more comfortable with these new experiences and to allow ourselves time to heal.  Even if it were us personally who have decided to end the relationship, it can still be a challenging situation and the necessary decision puts us in a place that we would rather not be.  It is, however, very important to understand and accept that these changes are necessary on some level and even if it feels totally unfamiliar, we will and do get used to our new situation as life begins to settle.  Even positive change can be stressful.

In some cases, we are forced into breaking away from more than just one relationship.  The break, many times, can include friends and family that we have enjoy for many years as a result of the relationship.  We may try to maintain the friendships.  Some will be successful, others will not. 

Sometimes people come into our lives for only a short period and then move on without warning or time for proper preparation.   These times can be troubling and the road ahead appears unclear.  It is common to fear the unknown but the new journey can offer happiness like we have never known before.  Remember that before we can move forward into the promise of our future, we have to release ourselves from the past.  Letting go is essential for a new door opening and being able to venture forward.

Very few of us truly know what tomorrow will bring.  We do control, however, how we move forward.  If we move forward anticipating disruptions, we will find disorder.  If we move forward anticipating a positive new adventure, we will find a constructive future. 

What will you manufacture? 

Pay close attention to your attitude moving forward and where your focus lies.

The road ahead can be a little intimidating if we allow but it is a path laid down for each individual and is specific to us.  Stay open to your destiny.  Life has its challenging conditions but this is how we grow and expand as a person.   Allow life to unfold.  Remain open, experience and maintain a positive attitude.  Trust in the process.  Bend when you need too, but be steadfast when it is necessary.

TRANSITING MERCURY AND THE MIDHEAVEN (MC)

In general, transiting Mercury moves quickly through the Zodiac.  It moves through a single sign in about 3 weeks. 

When Mercury goes retrograde, which occurs about 3 times a year, plans to sign agreements are best left until it goes into direct motion again (each retrograde cycle usually last about 4 to 5 weeks). 

Many individuals fear the Mercury retrograde cycle but this cycle should be used as a preparation time so that we can move forward once Mercury turns direct again.

Mercury retrograde would be especially strong in an Astrology chart if it conjuncts, squares, or is in opposition to an angle or planet by less than three degrees and especially if Mercury is retrograde in the natal/birth chart.

When Mercury moves across the Midheaven, this would be a time when our profession or work holds particular importance.  Perhaps this would be a time to prepare for upcoming events, or to make significant plans that will have an impact on you and/or others.  When Mercury crosses the Midheaven, communication in any form is highlighted.  It should be noted, however, in general, the energies of the Midheaven are not directly related to your personal life so whatever events may take place will not have an impact on your private life.

If Mercury is in retrograde, this should be a time when you review any upcoming events or plans that need to be addressed for the near future.  You can analyse this information and put the final touches on your plans so that all will be in perfect shape when the time is right to bringing this information or your proposals to those in a positions of authority or to those who will be affected by your plans.  If you plan and set goals during the time that Mercury is in retrograde and decide to pursue these before Mercury has turned direct, the potential for these to come to fruition are less favourable than if you were to wait out the retrograde cycle and take action after Mercury has turned direct again. 

This is not to say that you will not reach your goals but events may not run as smoothly as they would if Mercury were direct.  On the other hand, however, if you are naturally drawn to procrastination then the retrograde period often suggests that you pursue things now. 

Which of these apply to you?

Mercury rules the thinking process and how the mind works.  The Midheaven or MC deals with plans, our occupations, our life’s status, our ego and our public reputation.  It is important to recognize which stage Mercury will be in when reviewing material that you want to make public. 

The activation of Mercury’s energies will be in effect much longer if it is in retrograde.  Also, Mercury will pass the MC three times before it finally goes direct and passes out of influence of the Midheaven if there is a retrograde cycle involved. 

Ensure you use these energies to your benefit in reaching your goals particularly by timing action around the end of the retrograde cycle whenever possible. 

If life dictates that you cannot time actions around these retrograde and direct cycles, move forward with caution but remain optimistic that you will succeed.  Attitude plays a big part on all that we experience in life.

OUR DREAMS

With mind, heart and arms wide open, create your dreams!  Envision your dreams as though they are already in place.  

Examine every facet of these dreams.  Do they have true value?  Are they invaluable for this life?  Will you find solace in their fulfillment?

Set your dreams based on guidelines that will help you grow as an individual in all avenues of existence.  Your dreams do not have to be selfless but many selfless dreams benefit the dreamer as well. 

Do not be overly judgmental of your decisions and do not let ego interfere with your quest.

SATURN RETURN IN ASTROLOGY

Our most questioned activity in Astrology is the Saturn Return.  The Saturn Return normally takes place at the approximate ages of 29, 58 and 87. 

As many of you are aware, the natal or birth chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of our birth.  From that moment on, the planets continue on their rotational path around the Sun and this continual movement of the planets is referred to as transiting planets.  All of the planets eventually return to their original location at the moment of our birth (natal chart placement) but the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) take a long time to complete this cycle.  Saturn takes-29 years to complete one full cycle around the Sun.  Uranus takes 84 years and the other two outer planets take much longer and we do not live long enough to experience their return.

Saturn has a profound impact in our lives.  It produces situations that can be stressful (if we so allow) and presents us with lessons whenever it (Saturn) becomes activated in our charts. 

Saturn is the teacher and it presents us with a crossroad in our development.  We are forced to take a good look at our lives and we should make any needed changes when Saturn suggests it.  These times can be very trying and can last a significant period of time, especially if there are other planetary forces at work during the same period.

We have touched on houses and their energies in previous posts.  Depending on which house Saturn is located in within your birth chart and what aspects it is making to other planets, these particular areas of life (houses) will become activated.  The intensity and duration depends largely on the other planets that are stimulating the area, how long they transit and what aspects (aspects are angles between planets) they make to each other.  Saturn can also have a lasting effect if, for example, it goes into its retrograde cycle while making an aspect in the natal chart.

If you are going through a stressful period and you are between the ages of 28-30, 57-59 or 86-88, you are experiencing your Saturn’s return. PLUTO CONJUNCT THE MIDHEAVEN

Pluto on the Midheaven at birth suggests an individual with a powerful presence especially in the working environment.  They will have the ability to transform the working environment not only for themselves but also for those that they either work for or work with.  This position speaks of leadership and the changes that can take place in this person’s life when they transform working conditions and regenerate this area of their life. 

There may be some struggles with personal willpower when it comes to moving forward with their objectives but any challenges will facilitate changes required to further the evolutionary growth of the individual in question.   The actual process would be very deep and would describe changes and/or transformations on a fairly constant basis.  Any changes that do take place will be of a permanent nature.  There would be no half measures with this ongoing process as the transformation is usually on a very deep and personal level.  It is most likely life altering. 

It should be noted that it will, however, take a transit or progression to activate this natal aspect in an Astrology chart.

This is a position of regeneration of the life’s goals.  This individual would gain recognition for their efforts with uncovering integral internal changes but these changes would usually require some participation from others in the working environment.  These individuals may find that there is some opposition to their efforts by their superiors and the best route to follow is one where the ego stays in the background.  The individuals with this aspect may have an approach which might be quite aggressive in nature and this might also stand in the way of any progress, but standing in the shadows is not what these individuals are meant to do.

Much of their approach depends on the astrological sign involved.  For example, if Pluto is in Virgo, regardless of this aspect, this generation of individuals would proceed in a meticulous fashion to dig up materials that need alterating and strategic change.  With a Virgo influence, this would take place in a very organized manner.  Everything will have its place and their presentation would be accurate and detailed.  The Pluto Virgo individuals operate in a very orderly manner with expertise at their disposal.

Those with say Pluto in Scorpio may work below the radar and do things in a much more subtle manner.  They would go deep into what needs transformation and challenge tradition.  If they have this aspect, they would likely have suggestions on how the company would best work under most any condition.  They would be more subtle in their approach but have an impact that would not go unnoticed.  Their approach would be intense and also very complete.  Pluto Scorpio individuals would bring things to the surface that others may not even have noticed or did not dare to bring to the surface.  They may be more of the quiet type but would present an image of know-how and people would notice their presence.

When transiting Pluto makes contact with the Midheaven, this period speaks of transformation in the working environment.  Depending on the overall conditions in the individuals chart, there would be powerful influences taking place that may involve disruptions and major changes taking place.  There may be disruptions with people in power or authority and difficulties simply based on varying opinions.  The changes that would take place could open doors for new positions of authority and may offer an opportunity to move up the corporate ladder into a management position. 

Pluto will uncover anything that needs to be transformed into a higher state.  This is done in order to create the energies needed to move forward regardless of obstruction.  Pluto will facilitate change on one level or another.

RESTORING PEACE IN OUR LIVES

Restoring peace in our lives after experiencing stressful and frustrating conditions can be challenging.  It is far too easy to let our guards down and get caught up in circumstance and drama when we are tired, emotionally involved or busy. 

If we take care of our human vehicle and rest our mind, we are far more prepared for meeting the day to day challenges and for staying focused on the present moment. 

It is important to allow life to happen.  Not every event in life will match our expectations or line up with our goals.  This is normal and easier to accept if we live in the moment.

Many of us tend to hold on to frustration after trying experiences, long after the challenges have been lifted.  Is this due to the fact that we are afraid to move forward into the unknown?  Our ways of the past are familiar and we function without effort in what we know well or are familiar with. 

When change has been presented, many live in fear.  Some due welcome the change but fear that the past will come back to haunt them. 

We can never truly know what the future holds.  Embrace the moment and the wonder and beauty that the moment holds.  The past is gone.  The future will never come.  What we do have, however, is all that is contained in this very moment.  This moment is filled with all that we need right here, right now.

We can spend the next hour, day, week...contemplating potential future events but as a result we are wasting or squandering this moment in time that will never return.  Let go in order to live....

Do we want to simply existing in each moment because we cannot get out of our heads? 

Shed the skin of the worries of all that has past or that which may or may not materialize in the future.  The past cannot be changed and the worries for the future are strictly in our imagination. 

With a focus on love, compassion and forgiveness (for our own mental and physical health) we cannot hold onto anger, hatred or resentment.  Over time because of our concentrated efforts, we will attract even more love, compassion and forgiveness as this is where we have placed our focus.  The more we attract, the more noticeable it will be.  It all stems from our focal point.

Seek peace within and allow it to spread and touch those that surround us.  Foster an awareness of the love contained in our world (not the hate).  What we look for, we will find.  If we look for and offer love, we will see it more and more in our world.  Why not allow our love and understanding to touch the lives of those that do not comprehend it?  Hate will never be dissolved by hate but love can be nurtured through love. 

If we radiate our love outward and stay convicted to peace and compassion, these blessings will eventually reach all those that surround us including those that appear to be lost and forsaken.  We are all connected.  Invest in yourself through love offered to those who most need it.
