JUPITER RETROGRADE/DIRECT MOTIONS

When Jupiter goes into its retrograde, this cycle lasts about 120 days and will move between 10 to 20 degrees.  Jupiter goes retrograde every year and as retrogrades usually indicate that the energy is not strong or its full expression is restricted, Jupiter in retrograde still offers up opportunities for expansion and optimism, although somewhat challenged when it is in touch with Saturn.

You can use an orb of 3-4 degrees when determining if Jupiter will affect any of the planets or important points in your natal chart.  As it crosses these placements, the energy of Jupiter will increase.  As I write this post, Jupiter has been direct since August, 2019 and its positive expansiveness is considered to be alive and well.

Under normal conditions Jupiter is known as the great benefactor, but it is said that when it moves into retrograde, the energies of these characteristics seem to fade and its normal opportunistic influence is felt on an inner level.  On the material side of things, however, it is less effective but still present.  It is suggested that if you are considering buying property or big luxury items while Jupiter is in retrograde motion that you reconsider and wait until Jupiter is once again in direct motion.  Much depends on the natal aspects to your Jupiter.  In general, Jupiter’s energies are not as lucky in retrograde motion as they are under direct motion.

When this planet moves into retrograde, its impact is felt on an inner level rather than in our outside world.  During a retrograde cycle, you can benefit greatly if you focus on inner growth and awareness.  Getting in touch with you and objectively view yourself making alterations along the way as this would be very beneficial. 

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and is connected to spirituality and the philosophies of life that have deeper meaning.  If you have a look at the house it is transiting through as well as the house it is located in your natal chart, these will be areas of life that you can do work on and transform in ways that will suit you better (when Jupiter is direct again).  It is a time of introspection when Jupiter is retrograde. 

Remember to view Jupiter even when retrograde on a positive note, even if what you see or if your life’s direction is not what you thought it was.  Under the retrograde influence you can make adjustments to the way you have been living your life, transform your life’s direction and put yourself on track with where you should be going.

Jupiter in retrograde is connected to the lessons in life that are required during that specific time.  Be honest with yourself under this influence, and you will be able to re-examine your truths and gauge these with a keen eye in order to decide what you want to change and what is worthy of keeping.  These are often aspects of yourself that need some tweaking, in turn creating a higher version of yourself on track and ready to move in your intended direction.    Look inside yourself and find those inner riches.

While under the influence of Jupiter in retrograde, if you are making plans on going into a business venture, make sure that you take the time to consider all the aspects connected to making this decision.  You may find that you will make great expenditures when Jupiter is retrograde.  This is not always a wise decision and likely not one you would make if Jupiter were in direct motion.  It is actually best to wait before making any decisions, unless your natal Jupiter and the planets connected to it in the natal chart are quite “well” aspected. 

Check to see what the natal chart is saying and then make your decisions.  Just make sure that you are viewing these contacts with clarity and watch for expanded optimism.

As a side note, the next Jupiter retrograde will be May 15, 2020.

Once Jupiter has gone back into direct motion (again this year was August 11, 2019 and in 2020 it will be September 13) and is making aspects to other planets in your natal chart, you will be able to gage what areas of life might be affected and the potential outcome of actions taken once Jupiter is direct. 

Jupiter is a very positive influence in your life and will enhance most experiences, especially when linked to higher forms of delivery.

A TURNING POINT

Have we reached our “tipping” point? 

A perfect example is our political arena seem to be heading for collapse.  If so, how will this affect us?  

Does this indicate that the duties, motives and policies of some politicians are misrepresented and therefore none effective? 

In the free world, politicians are supposed to reflect and act upon the choices and sentiment of their people.  If our politicians are not doing this then either they are not fulfilling their duties or our definition of leadership is incorrect.

It feels at times that we are in the midst of a storm and it appears that many are being swept into the turmoil of its force. 

After any storm, however, is there not a clearing and the sun returns? 

There are those of us that recognize what is currently taking place is a simple storm and nothing more.  It does not have to be catastrophic or debilitating, but once it clears, it should enhance a welcomed change.

There are many that are awakening to a clearer vision of what our world is moving towards.  It does not have to be devastation or disillusion.  It is a foreseeable turning point where we can learn to work together.  There can be a unique interchange which has not been experienced up until this point. 

We are on this road together.  Many are awakening to their true self and their authentic light is shining bright. 

We cannot help but see it if we are looking for this energy.  We feel it within the core of our being and we understand that it is unfolding at an increasing rate. 

In the face of adversity, stand tall.   Know that you are meant to be here and experience today’s events.  Have faith in the process.  Believe in yourself and stay open.  Allow love and compassion, and you will bring love and compassion to our world.   

You do not have to own the sentiment or energies of those around you.  Their energies and focus are not yours.

NEW MOON - OCTOBER 27, 2019

On October 27, 2019, we will be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Scorpio. 

For those just beginning Astrology or the study of Lunar energies, the New Moon is when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction with each other at the exact same degree and minute in the same sign.  Under the energies of the New Moon we should be planting seeds in the garden of life.  This is the time to begin a project or start something new.  This can be a relationship, a new job, a partnership, buying a house or starting to build a home.  The list goes on and on.

The New Moon on October 27, 2019 @ 11:40 p.m. EDT is found at 4 degrees in the sign of Scorpio.  As a result, Scorpio traits are inherent in these energies.  Any planet or significant point as well as angle particularly on or near the 4^th degree of signs in conjunction or opposition or square will impact your life.  Trine or sextile will also have an influence.

There are no half-way measures about Scorpio.  One thing you can usually count on is that there is likely to be some intensity at this time.  This New Moon is found in the first decant of Scorpio which is ruled by Pluto so there will be something extreme and deep about what is undertaken.  You may want to dig deep to find what you are looking for.  This is a great time for self-examination especially if connected to the Sun and also an intense period when dealing with the emotions although it may not be out in the open especially if connected to the Moon.

Scorpio and Pluto deals with transformations and regeneration and if connected to Venus, love and romance may be part of the equation.  Sex can be a strong enticement at this time, especially if connected to Mars. 

Jupiter can expand on situations and bring about desired results, while Saturn could restrict things somewhat or slow down the process but may also add structure and stability as it manifests. 

Neptune may speak of magical contacts and the occult and spiritual involvement while Mercury can intensify the mind’s interaction.

Transiting Uranus is in opposition to this placement also at four degrees in Taurus.  Uranus can make things quite unpredictable and often brings new things into alignment.  Uranus creates necessary change, as in some cases, things have become dormant and need shifting.  Uranus is the awakener and creates change and disruption in order to put you back on the path that most suits your evolutionary quest and alignment more appropriately.

If you are deciding on what to do with your life, now is a good time to take advantage of these energies and begin. 

In about 6 months when we reach the Full Moon in Scorpio, we will begin to reap what was sown under the influence of this Scorpio New Moon. 

Dig deep to uncover the answers and seek out the truth of what is beginning now.  You may find that you are a different person when this period is over and you are building on what that might be in this moment in time.  Make sure these changes are favourable for all involved and that it creates growth in positive ways.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are spiritual beings living an earthly existence; not earthly beings striving to become spiritual.  With this understanding, is it really that important to make a name for ourselves, to become important, and to achieve in material ways?  Are these relevant at all?

I have been asked “If I am truly a spiritual being, why am I even living under the conditions that I currently do?”  “How can an earthly life be significant?”

Do not underestimate the significance of this earthly existence.  It is our understanding that there are valuable lessons that can only be learned through earthly matters.  A perfect example is “Why is money such an important focus in this life?”  It certainly does not look as though money’s reign will be over any time soon, even though the system that is it based on clearly does not work.

Money, in particular, must bring with it valuable lessons for us to learn.  It must rank high on the list and the lessons it teaches us must play an important role in our evolving story.  We do not have to look very far to find why during this earthy experience money holds relevance in the human mind.  On the plus side, money can certainly make life easier due to the system we have put in place, but on the flip side, we, through our lust for money, have created greed, hatred and corruption.  Apparently it can (through our actions) live up to its name of being the route to all evil.  Again, on the other side of the coin, money can (again through our actions) foster the art of giving and learning lessons of gratitude.  We can, therefore, learn much from a life of influence from our very response to wealth.

So who are we?  Are we an accumulation of what we have achieved – of what we own?  Are we the face we show to the world in material terms? 

Are we a blending of our life’s experiences and our acquaintances?  We become who we want to become, although it takes a life time to get there, at least for those who innately understand the concept of creating self.  If you do not like whom you feel you are, you can change that through self-study and action but most of all through attitude.

Too many people expect others to create that desired change, to make all the moves and to help correct any signature personality traits that we have acquired over time.  This only serves to diminish our responsibility of our own actions and the earthly personality that we have created.  We shrug off responsibility for our lives and who we have become.  In order to grow and move forward, we must accept that it is our responsibility to do what we see fit.  Who we are now is a reflection of what we have allowed ourselves to become.

Who are you? 

You are much more than this earthy being but during this life, you are what you choose to become and you are constantly creating what lies ahead with your every thought, your every expectation and your every move. 

You are here to experience life through a physical existence.  Take responsibility for this life.  It is in your hands.  Live up to your own expectation and listen to your higher self, who is alive and well within.

SUN IN SCORPIO OCTOBER 23, 2019

On October 23, 2019 at approximately 1:20 p.m. EDT, the Sun moves into the fixed, water sign of Scorpio.  Pluto is the ruling planet of Scorpio along with its co-ruler Mars.  

The sign Scorpio is affiliated with the scorpion, although this expression of Scorpio is considered unevolved.  The eagle is its highest expression.  

Scorpio, in many cases, carries with it a bad reputation of being a little to sexually promiscuous, although in general, once they commit themselves to someone, the Scorpion will not sway.  

Scorpio individuals have been noted for being reactionary when it comes to being slighted.  They do not forget and some will wait for the perfect opportunity to balance the scales.  They can be vindictive and it is wise not to get on the wrong side of this sign.  These qualities are more linked to the lower vibrational energies attached to the scorpion.

An evolved Scorpio individual is deep and reflective and is not spiteful or malicious.  They have learned forgiveness and have also learned to rise above ego intervention.  An evolved Scorpion understands that it has to deal with its darker side and rise above anything that stands in the way of evolution and their quest for getting beneath the surface.  They have deep and penetrating insight and use these intuitive qualities to assist those in need.  Many can see deep into the core of other people although they may not talk about these qualities.  They can be trusted with personal information and as they can keep things to themselves.  

The Scorpio individual’s emotions are somewhat hidden to others as well.  There is always something that seems quite secretive about your typical Scorpio and they do like their privacy. 

Those with their Sun in Scorpio are diggers for truth and they make great investigators.  Nearly all are reliable and conscientious workers.  They go the extra mile and never seem to get tired.  They can run their bodies down because of their relentless drive.  

These individuals make great detectives and researchers and would do well as psychologists and therapists.  Many instinctively know where the problem lies but normally would not be judgemental.  We are speaking of the eagle of course.  They need to be doing something that truly matters and are willing to do a shakeup if absolutely necessary.

Those with their Sun in the sign of Scorpio anywhere between 10 to 29degrees will have transiting Saturn which is finally moving direct and Pluto, both in Capricorn when this post is written in sextile to their Sun.  Sextiles are opportunity aspects and often help us move ahead in our endeavors although we have to take advantage of the opportunity as it presents itself. 

 This is a favourable aspect and Neptune transiting through the sign of Pisces is in trine to those with their Sun in the middle and later degrees of Scorpio as well.  In many ways, opportunities are at hand for those affected by these aspects.  Trines supply easy flow and good luck in obtaining benefits.  Much can be done for those with this position in their charts.  Of course as always, you will have to see which houses are involved at this time to see what areas of life will be affected.

Saturn at present is around the 14/15degree mark of Capricorn and will remain in Capricorn into the spring of 2020.  It will again go retrograde in May, returning once again into Capricorn in July and remaining there until December all of 2020.  Pluto will remain in Capricorn for some time and Neptune will also remain in Pisces for some time yet to come.  The energies are in place in a very positive sense for those affected and we should make sure to use these energies to enhance our life both in material ways as well as spiritual ways.  

It will be up to the Scorpio individual as to what they do with these energies.

REMOVING THE SHACKLES

We can be tightly bound by our beliefs.  If, for example, we think of ourselves as a failure in life, or believe that we are not worthy of love and happiness, then we stop ourselves short of success, love and happiness.   

If we believe that there is little to no future for us, how can we possibly move beyond these barriers to build the future of our dreams?  We have reduced our potential and have held ourselves back because of these attitudes.

Some have argued that “off and on throughout life I have been faced with challenging conditions and it seems as though no matter how hard I try to push ahead nothing seems to ever work.” 

We do not know what this journey will hold for us and at times we will experience conditions and events that we did not choose to experience.  However any challenging experiences offer rewards.  I am sure you have heard this before and you may be tired of hearing such statements.  Part of you may believe these to be hogwash.  If this is the case, why are there repetitive themes in life?  Why to the same issues keep resurfacing?

If we do not learn, the lesson will repeat. 

Our attitude can make a valuable lesson easily learned or it can make a valuable lesson feel as though it is a punishment.  Pay attention to how you look at life’s events. 

Sometimes lessons repeat themselves because we need to make changes in our surroundings and other times we just need to shift our attitude.  Believe it or not, the easiest test is to make a shift in attitude and then review where this takes you. 

Change may not happen overnight but then again it might.  It is important to remember that it has taken us some time to get to where we currently are so it is quite possible it may take some time for the shift to take hold but that is okay.  We are not in a hurry. 

Have patience and believe in yourself.  See ego’s chatter for what is actually is.  Ego insists on giving you a hard time and the closer you get to recognizing its false influence, the harder it tries to convince you it is right.  Eventually we see ego for what it really is and we do not have to give it control over our lives.

Ego, from its negative perspective, does not realize that we can actually have a wonderful working relationship.  With the proper relationship ego can help and we can be stronger because of it.  Ego can nurture our creative self.

It is time to release the shackles of negative attitude and underestimating our ability to love life.  As with everyone, we are entitled to happiness and we can prosper in our own ways.  Life provides whatever we feel we are worthy off.  If you feel unworthy, you will be.  If you love yourself, life will be filled with love.  Recognize that life reflects our believe structure and our expectations.
