PLUTO IN VIRGO GENERATION

If you were born between approximately mid-1957 to mid-1972, you are the Pluto in Virgo generation, give or take a few months either side of these dates, as Pluto went retrograde during this period (appearing to move backwards in the heavens). Check an ephemeris to see if you are part of this generational positioning.

This generation may be somewhat obsessive about their health and cleanliness.  They are intensely interested in keeping their body in top shape if they are able, through rigorous exercise routines and proper diet.  This may vary, however, depending on what house Pluto is in within their natal chart and the aspects applied to Pluto.  Pluto does, however, require work on your part and if we stand by and expect life to do this for us, we would be sadly mistaken at least in many cases.

Virgo can become obsessively involved in many things, as these individuals have great analytical perception and the ability to uncover life’s minute details.   

In general, most Pluto in Virgo individual’s working life is rather important to them and they push themselves to try to find perfection and uncover all of the minute flaws within the working environment.  Some prefer to remain in the background rather than being up front and getting all of the attention.  Behind the scenes analytical and research work will suit most individuals born with this combination.  These individuals would make excellent detectives and specialists in fields such as psychology, parapsychology and virtually any field that requires deep concentration and deep focus. 

These individuals are usually absorbed in their work and comfortable in knowing that they are doing their best.  Doing their best is a compulsive need and this is why they are highly sought after in the working environment.

These individuals are inwardly intense, analyzing themselves and identifying flaws.  They could become overly critical of themselves and others to the point of a preoccupation, yet have difficulty accepting criticism. 

When angered, they usually become quite heated yet they can keep most of what they feel inside.  They need to find a way to release this pent up anger and stop worrying about issues.  This worry can lead to health related issues as life progresses, especially nervous conditions.  Rigorous exercise such as running, the martial arts, and anything that pushes the body and releases the mind from the day’s activities will assist in letting go of these feelings.  Gentle exercise routines such as Yoga, Tie-Chee can also do wonders for these individuals.  Without such physical release, restrictions and dis-ease in the body can occur. 

These people are normally intense inwardly and need deep studies as there is a yearning for understanding any subject in great detail, especially themselves.  A profession in research, institutional occupations or working in government positions would be of interest to these individuals.  They make good counsellors, pharmaceutical engineers, and mechanics…..anything related to detailed work.

There may also be an interest in all hidden matters, such as the occult and the fields of metaphysics.  Any mystery holds their interest and they are great at solving deep internalized issues in others.  Most of these individuals, at some point in their lives, will redirect their energy outward after transforming their lives through self-actualization techniques, but not until they have completed a compulsory self-study and understand entirely what makes them tick.  Once they make this transformation to a higher understanding, there is great healing power in many of these individuals.  They can use this gift to assist others and help them overcome many of their life’s lessons.

I would be negligent if I did not point out however that this placement of Pluto can certainly be diluted by other indicators in the natal chart.

MARS RETROGRADE

Mars has about a two year cycle for its return position.  It goes retrograde and this cycle lasts from anywhere between 56 to 82 days.  As it approaches its retrograde motion and as it is leaving retrograde cycle, it can remain in a stationary position for approximately 5 to 6 days.  The next Mars retrograde cycle is September, 2020.

Some say that while Mars is in its retrograde cycle it has similarities to the energy of Venus, but what this is referring to is that its energies are harnessed to a great degree and may be released in a more gentle manner.  When Mars is in its direct motion, its tendency is to have aggressive action and it will not hold itself back or fear making mistakes and starting over again.  Mars is a forceful energy when in direct motion and its energies is often what propels us ahead in life.  Mars direct truly wants to fulfil its requirements whatever that may be, which is often determined by its placement in the chart.

When Mars is in its retrograde cycle, as mentioned, its energies are harnessed and there is often the element of fear.  This is in part why we feel the urge to sit back and review what we are striving for.  There is a feeling that we should at least wait until things are beginning to settle down and become more reliable. 

Anger and violence have often been attributed to the energies of Mars while in direct motion and this will be curtailed somewhat when it is retrograde motion.

Whatever area of life that is involved at the time when Mars is in retrograde motion(determined by the house position), there is a distinct feeling that we need more time to reflect on the situation and this can lead to feelings of frustration.  There may be issues about speaking our full truth.  It is not that we would lie, but we would be more passive in expression than when Mars is direct.  Sometimes there is a fear of making mistakes and this is why we hold back.  And what if we do take a stand and move ahead?  What if we have to back our initiative up with action?  What if this does not meet our expectations?  This is how the fear might play out.

Mars has also been strongly linked to our sexual expression and much will depend on the sign and aspects to Mars in the birth chart to define how its sexual energies will be released.  When Mars is in retrograde motion there is often a feeling of frustration and in some way life seems to be standing in the way of progress.  Once it turns direct again, we may find that these energies slowly settle down and things go back to normal.

For those with Mars retrograde in the birth chart, which by the way can turn direct due to progression, people often find that life seems somehow predetermined and life events seem to dictate at times.  For those that are somewhat inhibited in their expression, Mars retrograde in the birth chart has been put in place to push us to exert our self even when we don’t want to, especially due to a fear of failure or not meeting expectations.  We will eventually push our self and promote our self, one way or another.  It is likely, however, that we will do so only under the right circumstances and when it feels safe. 

Fear should not stand in the way of our personal goals and even if we fall short from time to time at least we made the effort and rose above our fears.

LIFE AND LOVE

We are all one yet feel we individually exist within the framework of our own consciousness.  Yet we are always striving to connect back with our pure essence.  Our sacred union with source is our overall connection with all that is.  We are, ideally, to live in harmony with all life.

NEW YEAR’S BLESSINGS

Yet another year has comes to a close.  We can reflect on the many lessons that 2019 has taught us and then close the chapter.  The events of 2019 are now behind us and there is no need to bring forward into 2020 anything but the knowledge from the lessons learned.  Close the chapter and turn to the blank pages of 2020. 

May you fill these pages with the light of your inner peace, radiant love and choice of happiness.

Peace is something that you can only experience through conscious decision.  May you be filled with enough faith in the process that you have no choice but to know the peace you deserve.

May you love yourself fully and completely.  As you bask in your self-love, allow it to spills over and touches each and every person that shares this journey with you.

As mentioned happiness is a choice.  It is experienced in the journey not obtained in reaching the destination.  Enjoy each step whether it challenges you or presents you with rest.

May you experience life lessons without resistance for it is in experiencing these lessons that we are pushed to learn and grow.  The experience of stress only comes when we fight the lessons presented to us.  May you welcome your lessons with open arms and grow without resistance.  This…..no resistance….is what will help to keep your path smooth.

MINI FORECAST FOR THOSE WITH THEIR SUN IN CAPRICORN (2019-2020) (SUN CONJUNCT JUPITER AND SATURN)

As you can imagine there would be a great difference between the Sun conjunct Jupiter and the Sun conjunct Saturn. 

Jupiter will be having its own effects for those with their Sun in the early to mid-degrees of Capricorn, (from 0 to about 17-18 degrees Capricorn).  This conjunct will begin in early December and last until mid-February of 2020.

Of course, you will have to look to see if there are other modifying transiting planetary influences in the chart to get a full picture of what this conjunction of Jupiter and the Sun would mean in your particular case.  Jupiter would tend to bring forth opportunities and growth particularly in areas related to goals in life.  This could include occupation, structural ideologies and plans set forth that would generate development over the long haul.  Capricorn knows that it takes time and energy to achieve objectives if you want something feasible and structurally sound.

Jupiter has a tendency for exaggeration and is often associated with “the big plan” and sometimes we overestimate what is potentially available to us.  However the higher we aim in many cases the higher we attain, so sometimes it is okay to have lofty ideas in place when Jupiter is part of the process.

Some individuals will seek out new adventures through travel, although in many cases a place that has familiarity to it might be more pleasing than somewhere completely foreign to us, (for those with their Sun in Capricorn).

When Jupiter meets up with Saturn, (we should also mention its connection with Pluto for those with their Sun in Capricorn in these degrees), the story changes direction.  Along with the desire to expand on plans and objectives, these Capricorn individuals may now encounter some restriction and potential worries about possible outcomes.  They may experience transformations to their plans and setbacks or time restrictions due to these other energies entering into the picture.  Their focus will almost certainly be too lofty while at the same time too restrictive. Finding a happy medium is what will be required.

Saturn and Pluto together pack a mighty punch and this combination will be intensified in January and February of 2020.  Jupiter sits on the edge of influence of both these giants in our solar system in early March and then weans off from the influence of Saturn but stays strong with Pluto from March to November/December of 2020.  The influence of Pluto will be one of transformation to goals and aspirations and potentially their path in life.  At the same time, this will be influencing Capricorn individuals’ inner self and the changes they will want to address as time goes by.  This is a powerful energy and will have profound influences well into the 2020 year ahead.

NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE DECEMBER 26 2019

This Solar Eclipse begins on December 25 at 9:29 p.m EST or Dec 26 at 02:29 a.m. UCT and is finished at 3: 05 a.m. EST or 08:05 a.m. UCT on December 26.  According to TimeAndDate.com “The annular phase of this solar eclipse is visible from Saudi Arabia, Oman, southern India, and parts of Indonesia, weather permitting. In most of Asia, parts of North/East Africa, and North/West Australia, people can see a partial eclipse.”  We in Ontario will not be able to see this eclipse. 

The new Moon is on December 26, 2019 at 12:15 a.m. EST. 

The New Moon/Solar Eclipse is at 4 degrees in the sign of Capricorn.  It is well aspected by Jupiter which is conjunct this degree and Uranus which is trine this degree.  As a result, this sounds quite favourable.

This is a cardinal position and those with their Sun in Capricorn in the early degrees as well as those with their Sun in Cancer in the early degrees will have this placement in conjunction and in opposition respectively in their charts.  Those with their Sun in the early degrees of Aries and Libra will have this position square to the eclipse degree.  We could go deeper and discuss each sign but for this post we will focus on the Cardinal degrees.

The energies of a New Moons and Solar Eclipses offer up opportunities to make changes in your life.  You can rid yourself of anything that no longer suits your path and formulate a new focus, if so desired, to advance your cause or goals. 

Some will experience turmoil and harder lessons at this time which over time have the potential to foster growth and expansion.  Although havoc is often accompanied with the energies of a Solar Eclipse, they do create positive change.  Those individuals with their Sun square to this position, although somewhat challenging, you will want to push your way through the adversity and use this as an opportunity to apply useful and practical solutions to any problems that may need dealing with.  It might be time for a fresh start.

Although these energies might be a little challenging especially if you also have a hard aspect with the upcoming Saturn/Pluto conjunction taking hold in January/February, 2020, you can use these energies to go after what is important to you.  Capricorn always implies hard work and dedication but with the conjunction to Jupiter, good fortune and opportunities can certainly be part of the picture for the upcoming period in your life.  Your focus should be on long term goals, and you shouldn’t expect things to happen quickly although they just might with the unpredictability of transiting Uranus making a trine to this position.

Uranus fosters needed change and opens doors to new perceptions and sometimes enlightenment due to the change of direction that it promotes.  It can happen in unusual ways or at unexpected times.  You might not think you are ready for what it proposes, but often the change it represents is long overdue.  It may take some time to settle into the changes that have potential to unfold but as you move ahead on your path you will see how fortunate this period actually was.

SUN IN CAPRICORN ON DECEMBER 23 2019

On December 21 2019, the Sun moves into the sign of Capricorn.  Those with this placement of their Sun will experience a lot of conjunctions depending on the degree of their Sun sign for parts of this upcoming year. 

Mercury moves into Capricorn on December 30, 2019 through until January 16, 2020. 

Mars goes into Capricorn on February 17, 2020. 

Jupiter went into Capricorn on December 3, 2019 and will remain there until December, 2020 and as a result will touch all Sun in Capricorn individuals at some point over the next 12 months. 

Saturn remains in Capricorn until March, 2020 and Pluto will also remain in Capricorn for several years to come.

As you can see those with their Sun in Capricorn will have many planets making conjunctions to their Sun over the next year.  Check an ephemeris to see where these planets are by degree and when they will make the conjunctions in your chart.  The house where the Sun is located natally in a Capricornian’s chart will be the area of life which will have the most direct influence. 

Houses are areas of life and the Sun has to do with our goals and life’s path as well as our inner self.  Conjunctions merge the energies of the Sun and the planets involved and their energies focus as one.  You will also need to have a look at how the Sun is aspected in your natal chart, as the aspects it receives from other planets in the natal chart will also be factored into the equation when deciphering the meanings of these current day (transiting) conjunctions.

Those with their Sun in Capricorn have an inner need to advance and are usually willing to go to great lengths to see their goals through to fruition.  They are achievers, often with strong will power and determination.  This is what assists them up that ladder of success. 

Those individuals that are unwilling to do the foundation work will not achieve as much as they could.  Capricorn individuals cannot skip any steps in any process, and in many cases, they are always looking ahead to the next step towards that ultimate goal.  Perseverance is strong and they need a clear path forward in order to achieve their goals.  They won’t speculate; instead they follow their prime directive. 

Most Capricorns are reliable and steady.  They are often leaders and not always good at following although if their superiors are forthright and educated in their field, a Capricorn individual will not mind following the expert.  The Capricorn individual actually admires these individuals. 

Follow-through is also evident in most Capricorn individuals.

Many Capricorns have a difficult time expressing their emotions.  This is not to say that they are cold or emotionless.  This is not usually the case.  These individuals just have a difficult time releasing their emotions.  Much of course will depend on the house placement of the Sun and the house and sign position of the Moon.

In many cases Capricorns are strong and independent individuals.  When raising a family, they can be quite strict.  They may demand respect and in turn, respect others.  They will do their part in financial terms and also with obligations and duties.  Many are somewhat subdued and those individuals that are extroverted can easily take over the conversation while Capricorn sits back and listens.  Although while listening, they are likely forming their own opinions which are usually based on fact and then they might express themselves and others will listen.  When they talk, which is not all together that often, people will listen.  What they have to say might be important. 

Those with their Sun in and around the 22/23 degree mark will be experiencing the conjunction of Pluto and Saturn on their Sun and will likely go through periods of transformation along with challenging conditions to overcome especially when it comes to goals in life.  Much will depend on what area of life is involved.  This aspect is at its height from December 2019 into February 2020.  Power struggles may be evident and delays and setbacks are possible.  By late February, Saturn will have moved out of orb so the intensity will back off somewhat, although Pluto will still be in effect for some time to come. 

Endings and new beginnings will likely be highlighted.
