CURRENT EVENTS - A MUST READ

Although many of our readers are firm believers in the science of Astrology, we thought it valuable to repost our article first posted on October 4, 2019 to show those that may have some doubt just how accurate Astrology can be.  Parts of this post are written for those who follow their own personal chart but we are reposting to highlight current world affairs that are always affected by transiting planets.  As always, this post is fairly lengthy but read it through, you may be astounded with the accuracy of Astrology.

TRANSITING PLUTO/SATURN CONJUNCTION

“We have a very powerful conjunction coming together between transiting Pluto and transiting Saturn.  These two planets will conjunct one another directly in January of 2020 but have been in force off and on throughout 2019.  The transiting conjunction will complete its cycle by March of 2020.  Both Planets are in the sign of Capricorn which often pointing towards power struggles and leadership especially related to business and enterprise.

Remember, this is a world-wide event affecting everyone at the same time.  This could deal with politics and governmental institutions and speaks of challenging conditions causing great disruption and upheaval.  On a world scale, we can see this beginning to take place particularly in the United States with the political turmoil taking hold as this is being written. 

On a personal level, we will need to see what house this conjunction falls in as well as any other planetary influence in the natal chart being affected by this conjunction.  The houses define areas of life involved in the equation while the planets from the natal chart define the energies involved.

Saturn often speaks of discipline and restrictions in place and also has to do with delays, obstruction and people in positions of authority.  Pluto speaks of disruptions and power struggles and major transformations that take hold.  The energies of Pluto can be disruptive but are often in place to produce a much needed change of direction.  Pluto tends to tear down structures and then rebuild from the ruins.  Its energies put an end to conditions so that something new and more beneficial can be built.

Saying that the energies of these two giants are intrusive and challenging is undermining the powerful influence that these planets can have on our lives.  Words cannot express clearly how powerful these planets together can be.  However, although intrusive and chaotic in nature during the change, they do build on creating a solid foundation that over time will stand the test of time and build resilience. 

Saturn is the teacher and the disciplinarian, and Pluto dictates and removes that which has become stagnant and no longer serves a viable purpose.  Pluto’s action is finite and uncovers anything that needs to surface so that it can be dealt with accordingly.  What once was, no longer will be.

It will be interesting to see how these two energies link together and what the final outcome will be.  We, as individuals, will need to address what has been in place and find ways to rebuild on a more structured and solid foundation.  Above all else, we must learn from the experience.”

For this repost, we thought we should provide dates when this conjunction of transiting Saturn and transiting Pluto will be the strongest.  The effects, however, have been felt for a little of time already and will be felt beyond this highlighted period.  The strongest should be from today, January 10 through to January 15 give or take a day or two and the strongest day should be approximately January 12, 2020.  It will be interesting to see how things unfold

Let all put our heads and hearts together.  United we can stand together for peace and love so that it can dilute and dissipate the current energies.

OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINIONS

Throughout life, we will encounter opinions and words of discouragement from others concerning our focus on spirit, concerning our commitment to higher principles and concerning our quest for awakening.  The views, opinions and attitudes of others should never be allowed to influence our focus.  No one follows our footsteps or takes our specific path.  Their opinions and assessments of our actions ultimately have no merit on our journey.  Each and every one of us is entitled to our own personal choices as long as we have respect for others throughout our journey.

Some individuals that find it necessary to judge others may be caught up in ego’s influence and view their lives from a completely different perspective than we do.  For some, this may be their temporary path and for others it is their journey of this incarnation. 

Each of our souls or higher selves experience and learn through what is essential to our development.  Although we may have difficulty understanding why each of us take our separate routes, this is not for us to judge. 

We can respect other people’s points of view, their ideologies and their journey but they do not have to be ours.  We truly do not understand their purpose here and now.   

It is crucial that we all recognize the necessity for respect in receiving and in giving. 

Release ego; set a positive example then reap the seeds that you have sown. 

If you are judged, respond with non-judgement.  We cannot control others nor can we respond in kind and expect a different result.  If offering love and acceptance to those that judge does not alter their opinions and actions, perhaps we need to remove ourselves from the situation. 

There will be times when our opinions and true path are tested.  We do not have to defend our beliefs, as often this will not alter other’s opinions.  It is not our responsibility to make others understand our principles or belief structures. 

Prove your journey through example.  Live in love and offer compassion and respect. 

Our path is the only road important for us.  Other’s opinions hold little relevance to our commitment to truth.  We can proudly stand by our ideals and let others have their own.  We are not meant to prove the validity of our journey.  We can only live up to our own personal ideals. 

Be the mirror for all that you want to convey.  Words are cheap.  Let our actions speak for themselves. We are on track and on purpose.  Nothing can stand in our way, but our own focus.  We have the strength to overcome all adversity, how could we not.  We are a part of the whole, of source.

FULL MOON IN CANCER/LUNAR ECLIPSE - JANUARY 10 2020

We will be experiencing our first Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of 2020 on January 10 at 2:23 p.m. EST. 

This Full Moon will be in the sign of Cancer which means it is comfortable as it is in the Moon’s natural rulership and is said to be quite powerful.  The house that this eclipse falls in within your personal chart will be the area of life that is affected.  Since this eclipse is in Cancer, and at 20 degree, any planet at or near the same degree especially by conjunction, opposition or square will be affected by this eclipse.

Lunar eclipses last in duration of month’s equivalent to the time when we are experiencing the phenomena in hours.  Some Astrologers insist that it lasts about 6 months and perhaps lingering effects can make it so.  Eclipses often speak of turning points in our lives where we need to take quick action often of something that we have been fighting or contemplating for some time. 

The Full Moon is known for a culmination of events and the harvest of the fruits of our labour.  It is usually not the time for starting things but the time when we reap what we have sowed.  Many fear eclipses because of this and although they often bring stress into the picture, the changes often indicated by eclipses are necessary and many times work out for the best in the long haul.  Much will depend on how this eclipse will be activated by other transits as well as signature influences within the natal chart.

This Lunar eclipse is in the sign of Cancer as mentioned and is often accompanied with strong emotion and is often relationship oriented.  It may be time to make an important decision perhaps about an important relationship.  It is okay to put some energy into what it is that “you” want for yourself and into whatever it is you actually need.  It may involve the home and family and could involve your marriage partnership but much will depend on the areas of life that are now activated in your personal chart.

Mercury is also transiting through the same sign (Cancer) and will make a conjunction to this placement suggesting that decision making will be part of the process.  Once again this could be challenging emotionally but could very well be best in the long term.  The outcome is usually favourable although it may take some time for this to be recognized.

Transiting Pluto and Saturn will also be in opposition to this placement and these two planets do not usually work well together.  They speak of authority, obligation, duties, transformation, change and sometimes involves ego disputes.  Saturn is demanding and Pluto is the agent of change and often disruption.  Because Saturn as well as Pluto are in the sign of Capricorn, there may be some discrepancy between the occupation and obligations to the home and family concerns (due to the sign of Cancer).  Anyone directly affected by this may have to decide which area of life one is more relevant than the other.  Is achievement more important than family and are you balancing your time between work and home?

Sometimes Eclipses speak of letting go of things or moving in a different direction.  Often it is best to not fight what is necessary and allow yourself to take the right path forward. 

Sometimes we need to make personal changes and after careful study, we are faced with decisions due to our shadow self being shown and seeing things in the proper light.  It is not always easy but changes can occur that will be promising as time unfolds. 

Allow life to move along as it should, and do not to get in the way of growth and progress.

HAVE FAITH IN YOUR OWN ABILITIES

When we find ourselves in a troubling situation or experiencing a challenging state of mind, we have the ability to rise above these events or feelings.  It does not matter what we are faced with, we can overcome anything.  We have the ability to change any circumstances mentally. 

When we recognize the inner strength that we have, we can use these strengths to our advantage.  We have a lot more ability than we give ourselves credit for, and we are always provided with what we need. 

We can detach ourselves from events.  If we do not own events, they cannot affect us deeply.  We are human and are influenced by events BUT we do not have to stay attached to that influence. The choice is ours if we are going to get caught up in what goes on around us or if we to learn from the experience and move on. 

All events are stepping stones or learning tools.  We master the lesson and from that we gain strength and confidence.  We learn from these events that we are resilient.  The secret is to quiet our mind and step back.  Unfortunately far too many of us are on auto pilot and response by “reaction” instead of mindfulness.  Learning to act with purpose is not different.  Practice mindfulness.  Stop yourself as soon as you realize you are “reacting”.  With practice it becomes second nature.

All lessons mirror the experience of learning to ride a bicycle.  We learn the ability to ride and can carry this ability through life.  It is the first attempts that are difficult and sometimes it takes many tries to learn but we do learn and can enjoy that ability afterward.  These talents once mastered can be used for enjoyment and/or with purpose.

Life can be an enjoyable ride.  Learn to use the tools and equipment available to us and make the experience pleasing.  Pick up the pieces of life and ride on.  Enjoy the journey that life has to offer as well as the many individuals that share the road with us.

PLUTO IN VIRGO GENERATION

If you were born between approximately mid-1957 to mid-1972, you are the Pluto in Virgo generation, give or take a few months either side of these dates, as Pluto went retrograde during this period (appearing to move backwards in the heavens). Check an ephemeris to see if you are part of this generational positioning.

This generation may be somewhat obsessive about their health and cleanliness.  They are intensely interested in keeping their body in top shape if they are able, through rigorous exercise routines and proper diet.  This may vary, however, depending on what house Pluto is in within their natal chart and the aspects applied to Pluto.  Pluto does, however, require work on your part and if we stand by and expect life to do this for us, we would be sadly mistaken at least in many cases.

Virgo can become obsessively involved in many things, as these individuals have great analytical perception and the ability to uncover life’s minute details.   

In general, most Pluto in Virgo individual’s working life is rather important to them and they push themselves to try to find perfection and uncover all of the minute flaws within the working environment.  Some prefer to remain in the background rather than being up front and getting all of the attention.  Behind the scenes analytical and research work will suit most individuals born with this combination.  These individuals would make excellent detectives and specialists in fields such as psychology, parapsychology and virtually any field that requires deep concentration and deep focus. 

These individuals are usually absorbed in their work and comfortable in knowing that they are doing their best.  Doing their best is a compulsive need and this is why they are highly sought after in the working environment.

These individuals are inwardly intense, analyzing themselves and identifying flaws.  They could become overly critical of themselves and others to the point of a preoccupation, yet have difficulty accepting criticism. 

When angered, they usually become quite heated yet they can keep most of what they feel inside.  They need to find a way to release this pent up anger and stop worrying about issues.  This worry can lead to health related issues as life progresses, especially nervous conditions.  Rigorous exercise such as running, the martial arts, and anything that pushes the body and releases the mind from the day’s activities will assist in letting go of these feelings.  Gentle exercise routines such as Yoga, Tie-Chee can also do wonders for these individuals.  Without such physical release, restrictions and dis-ease in the body can occur. 

These people are normally intense inwardly and need deep studies as there is a yearning for understanding any subject in great detail, especially themselves.  A profession in research, institutional occupations or working in government positions would be of interest to these individuals.  They make good counsellors, pharmaceutical engineers, and mechanics…..anything related to detailed work.

There may also be an interest in all hidden matters, such as the occult and the fields of metaphysics.  Any mystery holds their interest and they are great at solving deep internalized issues in others.  Most of these individuals, at some point in their lives, will redirect their energy outward after transforming their lives through self-actualization techniques, but not until they have completed a compulsory self-study and understand entirely what makes them tick.  Once they make this transformation to a higher understanding, there is great healing power in many of these individuals.  They can use this gift to assist others and help them overcome many of their life’s lessons.

I would be negligent if I did not point out however that this placement of Pluto can certainly be diluted by other indicators in the natal chart.

MARS RETROGRADE

Mars has about a two year cycle for its return position.  It goes retrograde and this cycle lasts from anywhere between 56 to 82 days.  As it approaches its retrograde motion and as it is leaving retrograde cycle, it can remain in a stationary position for approximately 5 to 6 days.  The next Mars retrograde cycle is September, 2020.

Some say that while Mars is in its retrograde cycle it has similarities to the energy of Venus, but what this is referring to is that its energies are harnessed to a great degree and may be released in a more gentle manner.  When Mars is in its direct motion, its tendency is to have aggressive action and it will not hold itself back or fear making mistakes and starting over again.  Mars is a forceful energy when in direct motion and its energies is often what propels us ahead in life.  Mars direct truly wants to fulfil its requirements whatever that may be, which is often determined by its placement in the chart.

When Mars is in its retrograde cycle, as mentioned, its energies are harnessed and there is often the element of fear.  This is in part why we feel the urge to sit back and review what we are striving for.  There is a feeling that we should at least wait until things are beginning to settle down and become more reliable. 

Anger and violence have often been attributed to the energies of Mars while in direct motion and this will be curtailed somewhat when it is retrograde motion.

Whatever area of life that is involved at the time when Mars is in retrograde motion(determined by the house position), there is a distinct feeling that we need more time to reflect on the situation and this can lead to feelings of frustration.  There may be issues about speaking our full truth.  It is not that we would lie, but we would be more passive in expression than when Mars is direct.  Sometimes there is a fear of making mistakes and this is why we hold back.  And what if we do take a stand and move ahead?  What if we have to back our initiative up with action?  What if this does not meet our expectations?  This is how the fear might play out.

Mars has also been strongly linked to our sexual expression and much will depend on the sign and aspects to Mars in the birth chart to define how its sexual energies will be released.  When Mars is in retrograde motion there is often a feeling of frustration and in some way life seems to be standing in the way of progress.  Once it turns direct again, we may find that these energies slowly settle down and things go back to normal.

For those with Mars retrograde in the birth chart, which by the way can turn direct due to progression, people often find that life seems somehow predetermined and life events seem to dictate at times.  For those that are somewhat inhibited in their expression, Mars retrograde in the birth chart has been put in place to push us to exert our self even when we don’t want to, especially due to a fear of failure or not meeting expectations.  We will eventually push our self and promote our self, one way or another.  It is likely, however, that we will do so only under the right circumstances and when it feels safe. 

Fear should not stand in the way of our personal goals and even if we fall short from time to time at least we made the effort and rose above our fears.

LIFE AND LOVE

We are all one yet feel we individually exist within the framework of our own consciousness.  Yet we are always striving to connect back with our pure essence.  Our sacred union with source is our overall connection with all that is.  We are, ideally, to live in harmony with all life.

We work on this unity as we mature into ourselves moving ever deeper into our most intimate self.  We are a spiritual connection dwelling momentarily in an earthly vehicle.  We are not our bodies.  We are not our thoughts.  We are eternal energy here, now, learning about our essence from a different angle, from an earthly view.  

We join forces with all living things (energy) to coordinate a pure universal love.

Our very essence resonates on an internal level but reveals itself through an ongoing process to those that are ready to recognize its existence.  Remaining open to this recognition allows this awakening and releases us from our bondage to material concerns.  It is within our grasp to realize our true objectives and help facilitate the ongoing awakening taking hold in our world.  

We are the facilitators of peace, of love.

If we open our hearts, we can resonate the love that is our very core and by doing so, we awaken the same in others.  We are not segregated or separate from each other.  We all share this reality together regardless of distance.

We are the facilitators and the manufactures of peace and distributers of love, regardless of our earthly conditions and what we hear through media and other external influences.  It is not hopeless unless you allow this expression to exist.  We are forever exploring who and what we are.  Be the pioneer you are meant to be.

Our purpose in this life is to move forward learning from the lessons regardless of their intensity.  We always allow these lessons to teach us regardless of the conditions we experience.  

Live as an example and shine your light to brighten your path and the paths of others.  Recognize your true essence and in all that you do, be true to this essence….the true you.

Live it; be it and above all else, have faith in yourself and all that is!
