TRANSITING SATURN SQUARE NATAL MOON

 

Transiting Saturn now in retrograde (July 2020) moves back into the late degrees of Capricorn and then goes direct again towards the end of September and moves back into Aquarius in mid December all in the year 2020.  Those with their Moon in the later degrees of Aries and into Taurus as well as those with their Moon in the late degrees of Libra into early degrees of Scorpio will be impacted by this transit of Saturn.  After this latter date, it will impact all those with either a Taurus or Scorpio Moon in the mid and late degrees and this continues for about 2 ½ years as this is how long it takes Saturn to move from one sign to the next.

 

Saturn tends to create some type of challenge during its contact visit to most any planet as well as when it contacts the angles in our chart.  The square (90 degree) aspect is considered very challenging and Saturn slows down progress, puts up roadblocks and generally makes things difficult when in this aspect.  It does operate a little easier when in retrograde however but even in retrograde it still implies hard work and often difficult conditions.  The house Saturn is transiting will be the area of life involved as well as the placement of natal Saturn and the aspects to it in the natal chart.

 

The Moon deals with feelings and emotions and can be associated with close family members such as the mother and family concerns especially when related to nurturing and creating what could be considered a safe home and environment.  There is a huge difference between the earlier mentioned lunar positions not to mention the house location in the natal chart but suffice to say that they all speak of nurturing and family associations.

 

When you have a stressful aspect coming from Saturn to your Moon, the emotions may be rather challenging and you may even feel depressed and worried about family matters.  Your home may also be involved and as mentioned your Mother or a close female friend.  Worry and anxiety is common with this placement and if you feel that you are having a difficult time dealing with matters at hand these are times when we need to seek out professional assistance.

 

Things will settle down as Saturn begins to move out of orb, although some Astrologers, including me, have found that the most powerful energies related to Saturn occur when it is two degrees past being direct.  Perhaps this is due to Saturn’s influence or energies being delays and restrictions.  We are currently focusing on the square aspect and the energy of a square are tough enough that they will force you into action and because of this, you actually gain strength because you face the issues head on and want to do something about it. 

 

Saturn will eventually create a more solid foundation although it is a relentless teacher.  What you are left with, and once you are able to recognize the lesson, this change forced by Saturn will stand the test of time.  You will realize after the fact that it was necessary to go through what you did as it taught you inner resolution and provided strength as you conquer the adversity.  You will be required to go through the necessary steps before you get to the other side of the issue and you cannot skip any steps.  Do what you need to do and know that the conditions of the lesson are temporary, but they will have taught you strength and resilience over time. 

 

Patience is one of Saturn’s greatest teachings and you will need to learn this one.

TRANSITING JUPITER SEXTILE NATAL MOON

 

Jupiter remains in the sign of Capricorn from the end of 2019 for about one year and then towards the end of 2020 it moves into Aquarius.  While in the sign of Capricorn (it went retrograde in May of 2020) we will be talking about those individuals who have their natal Moon in the signs of Scorpio or Pisces. 

 

Jupiter in the sign of Capricorn is considered a practical energy position where Jupiter’s energies seek, as always, to expand knowledge and create a general feeling of optimism into what it touches.  Jupiter is growth oriented but does not function in its full capacity while in retrograde.  In the sign of Capricorn Jupiter tends to direct its attention towards optimistic ideals which have the potential to create tangible findings.  This can apply to any goals and aspirations we might have in the material world as well as any practical applications that may be centred around the philosophical approach to religion and spirituality. 

 

Sextiles in general are positive aspects that often point towards fortunate circumstances that we can take advantage of and use these opportunities to advance our cause or purpose at the time.  Sextiles should be given a 3-5-degree approach orb and a 2-3 degree separation orb of influence. 

 

Since this sextile is related to the Moon, feelings come into play.  There is greater potential for understanding how feelings and intuition meld together, and we can do a lot with these energies from an inspirational approach. 

 

These innate feelings can be used for personal growth and expansion as well as being related to the feelings of others and the plight they may be experiencing.  We can help others often by helping our self first and then applying what we have learned when dealing with others.  There are no greater teachers than those that have had personal experience. 

 

We may be learning to express our feelings more openly especially if we have our Moon in Scorpio and working on how to do this is perfect under this aspect.  Opportunity awaits those that wish to enter this field which is more open than under normal circumstances.  If Jupiter goes into retrograde and our Moon falls in these degrees, we can experience up to three passes of our Moon making this aspect and during its direct movement is when we can advance anything we might be working on.

 

We may find that the feelings of others and specifically those that we consider family (blood or not) can build under these energies.  This applies to how we are able to help them and truly understand what they might be going through.  We can be of great assistance at this time.  Our compassion and deeper understanding of others bring us a feeling of satisfaction under this influence and helps with our own personal emotional healing as well.

 

Our home life and family may feel comfortable to those of us with this aspect and we will be pleased being in this circle.  We can use these energies to assist others and also within our self in personal ways.  Be sure to use the energies at hand to expand personal consciousness and learn from what is being taught.

PROGRESSED MOON CONJUNCT NATAL SUN

 

The progressed Moon moves one degree per month.  When making contact in the Astrology chart, it is in influence for a total of three months, one month prior to being exact, one month while being direct and one month as it separates.  A three-degree orb of influence is allowed.

 

The progressed Moon is often used as a timer in Astrology and is suggestive of activities and events as they unfold.  There will often need to be other indicators in the chart through transit or progressions that are then stimulated by the progressed Moon. 

 

The house position of the Moon when it aligns with our natal Sun will be the area of life that is involved, and the transits will add other factors into the equation.  The position of our Sun and the aspects to it in the natal chart will help define what energies are in place indicated by the birth potential found in the natal chart.  The natal chart is a road map for what will unfold through transits and progressions in our life.  It is the life path in place and the energies in force.

 

In many ways the Sun is very personal.  By sign and house it defines who we are as an individual, and the character traits that are suggestive of who we are internally, but some of these character traits will also be shown to the world and others will identify us by these characteristics.  It is important to look at the rest of the chart to see how powerfully these energies will play out. 

 

For example, someone with their Sun in Capricorn will usually have objectives that potentially lead to success.  They usually work hard at their endeavours, pushing towards a slow but progressive move towards the top.  This is common unless there are other mitigating factors found in the birth chart.  If for example they have Leo rising and five planets in the fifth house ruled by Leo, then these Leo characteristics will have a strong influence on who this individual is and how they present themselves.

 

The Sun also speaks of goals, aspirations, and life’s path in general.  In some cases, it speaks of intensions set for occupational aspirations.  As mentioned, much will be clarified by the aspects to the Sun and the sign and house it is in through the natal potential.

 

When the progressed Moon aligns with the natal Sun, there are changes to life’s path.  Some make changes to their goals and under this influence decide to move in these directions.  Others make personal changes sometimes related to health, personal appearance, and life objectives which may also include others.  Changes are in store and much can be ascertained by the transits and progressions in play at this time.

 

If, for example, Pluto was involved and the natal Sun were in the seventh house, the potential for transformations in relationship or business partnership is enhanced.  If it were in the second house there may be indicators that transformations are taking place around areas of security and personal finances.  If the eighth house were also involved this could include joint finances and joint ventures, as well as inheritance, alimony, and sexual interchange, especially so if the fifth house were involved.

 

Changes are in store for many of those that are currently experiencing this combination, and, in many cases, we need to take advantage or be forewarned of things and move in the appropriate direction.  A full interpretation of the natal as well as the transit and progressed charts would provide clarification and give the best possible details on what may be involved and how to move forward.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

 

There are times in life when sitting back and doing nothing just simply will not do.  We have to stand up and be part of the change that is needed.  What better way than to be the one who initiates this action. 

 

“Should I wait for someone else to start the process?” could be the way our mind operates.  The mind can thinks up intensions but come up with reasons why we should not act.  Every once in a while, we are so committed to an idea, we can overcome the ego interference and move forward with our motivating ideas.

 

Sometimes it can be hard work and it would be so much easier if someone else starts things or we may feel we are not up to the task.  However, we can’t always wait for others especially when an idea surfaces and there is potential for positive results if we only took that first step to begin. 

 

We can make a difference in our world.  We do not have to be followers and we are good enough to make a difference.  We are leaders even if we underestimate ourselves.  Give yourself a chance. 

 

The right idea can snowball once it gets rolling.  We are not here to sit back and be a spectator.  We are here to live and living is taking action.  Make things happen.  Kindness, love, and affection can have profound effects if this is the route we take.  If someone is struggling why not take a shot at helping them move in a different direction, if they are looking for help?  If someone is lonely or afraid why not be the one that eases their mind or brings them friendship?

 

Do not sit back when opportunity knocks.  We do not know what lies ahead until we take that step.  Be the forerunner.  Be that motivating factor.  Be the light that radiates out into our world and lights the path. 

 

Maybe it is only you that can make that difference!

THE PLUTO IN VIRGO GENERATION

 

If you were born between mid-1957 to mid-1972, you are the Pluto in Virgo generation, give or take a few months either side of this time frame, as Pluto went retrograde during this period (appearing to move backwards in the heavens). 

 

This generation may be somewhat obsessive about their health and cleanliness.  They are intensely interested in keeping their body in top shape if they are able (compared to previous generations), through rigorous exercise routines and proper diet.  This may vary, however, depending on what house Pluto is found in within their natal chart and the aspects applied to Pluto.

 

Virgo can become obsessively involved in many things, as they have great analytical abilities and the ability to uncover life’s minute details.   

 

In general, most Pluto in Virgo individuals find their working life rather important to them and they push themselves trying to find perfection and uncovering all the minute flaws within the working environment.  Some prefer to remain in the background rather than being up front and getting all of the attention.  Behind the scenes analytical and research work will suit most individuals born with this combination.  They would make excellent detectives and specialists in fields such as psychology, parapsychology and virtually any field that requires deep concentration and deep focus.  They are usually absorbed in their work and comfortable in knowing that they are doing their best.  Doing their best is a compulsive need and this is why they are highly sought after in the working environment.

 

These individuals are inwardly intense, analysing themselves, identifying flaws and could become overly critical of themselves and others to the point of obsession, yet have difficulty accepting criticism.  When angered they usually become quite heated yet they can keep most of what they feel inside.  They need to find a way to release this pent up anger and stop worrying over issues.  This worry can lead to health related issues as life progresses, especially nervous conditions.  Rigorous exercise such as running, the martial arts, and anything that pushes the body and releases the mind from the day’s activities will assist in letting go of these feelings.  Gentle exercise routines such as Yoga, Tie-Chee can also do wonders for these individuals.  Without such physical release, restrictions and dis-ease in the body can occur.

These people are inwardly intense and need deep study as there is a yearning for understanding any subject in great detail, especially themselves.  A profession in research, institutional occupations or working in government positions would also be of interest to these individuals.  They make good counsellors, pharmaceutical engineers, and mechanics, anything related to detailed work.

 

There may also be an interest in all hidden matters, such as the occult and the fields of metaphysics.  Any mystery holds their interest and they are great at solving deep internalized issues in others.  Most at some point in their lives will redirect their energy outward after transforming their lives, through self-actualization techniques, but not until they have completed a thorough self-study and understand entirely what makes them tick.  Once they make this transformation to a higher sense of being, there is great healing power in many of these individuals.  They can use this gift to assist others and help them overcome many of their life’s deficiencies.
