TRANSITING URANUS CONJUNCT DC

  

When Uranus is in conjunction with your DC it is also in opposition to your Ascendant.  Those with their Ascendant in Scorpio will have Uranus on the DC, depending on the degree of your Ascendant.  If you have the Descendant in the early degrees, you will have had transiting Uranus on or near your DC since the spring of 2019.  At the time I am writing this article (September 1, 2020) transiting Uranus is at 10 degrees Taurus and in retrograde.  If Uranus passes over your DC while in retrograde you will experience it once again as it passes over your DC while in direct motion.  All of those with their rising sign in Scorpio will have the conjunction of transiting Uranus over their DC in the next 6 years.  Uranus moves through each sign in about 7 years and has been in Taurus for about one year, with its return at 84 years.

 

Uranus always speaks of change and some form of disruption to the norm.  This does not have to be a challenging experience.  What Uranus brings with it is a requirement and growth is necessary.  Something new takes form and often we get little hints regarding what this new energy entering into our lives is about prior to the actual interchange.  These changes can be sudden and unexpected, sometimes happening in a flash.  Uranus is erratic and acts in an unexpected manner.  Its timing is so accurate that it is used as a timing device in Astrology.

 

When conjoined with the DC it speaks of changes taking hold in important relationships, such as a marriage partnership.  The freedom factor is often part of the equation and if there have been restrictions the relationship will go through changes that work to foster a new approach that suits both parties in a more flowing and favorable manner.  However, these changes can be somewhat radical if things do not move along in an easy fashion.  Change is a requirement and disruption, or unexpected incidents can take hold if there is not enough transformation to the relationship.

 

Your relationship with yourself goes through changes at this time as well often due to what is taking place in regard to the relationship.  Changes take hold or need to take hold in the way you live your life and how you are relating to the relationship itself.  If the other person makes the move and facilitates change and disrupts the marriage, then you will in turn be affected in personal terms as well.  The changes are unpredictable but as mentioned you will be getting hints along the way calling for alignment so that the relationship can take the turn that is necessary.

 

If you are not in a close personal relationship, then this can indicate a change along the same lines with a business partnership or with a close relationship of significance.  In some cases, we are not well prepared for what is needed and have to make alterations to the relationship and how we live our life.  There is likely to be some upheaval over a period of time and you will realize that what took place was what was needed. 

 

Uranus speaks loudly and often quite clearly as it is known as the awakener and it is always best to go with the flow rather than fight the energies.

CERES IN ASTROLOGY

 Ceres is the largest asteroid found so far and it is located between Mars and Jupiter. 

 

Some Astrologers believe Ceres to be the ruler of Virgo, although much further study needs to be undertaken before we can make this distinction. 

 

It has been noted that Ceres has a connection to nurturing and mothering, dealing instinctively with the nurturing of those less fortunate or those that might be termed the underdog.  Its complete energies, however, are yet to be determined.

 

Ceres’ influence in the natal chart by sign, house position as well as aspects from other planets or points especially by conjunction, plays an important role in defining its nature.  As mentioned, Ceres is connected to nurturing and mothering, and it also deals with family relations.  Its sign position defines the things that make us feel nurtured and how we might go about nurturing others as well as how we might nurture our own personal needs.

 

Ceres’ house position will be linked to the most likely area of life that will be connected to this nurturing need.  The influence of the aspects to planets or angles by Ceres will be determined by the nature of the aspect involved.  Squares and oppositions as well as some conjunctions are more stressful, while sextiles and trines are more easy flowing.  The planets provide their own energy and this energy will need to be carefully defined to reach conclusions as to what the chart is telling us.

 

Ceres has been linked to food, agriculture, and clothing.  It has also been linked to grief and the need to seek out what was lost even if it means derailing everything in order to find it.  Ceres appears to love what is considered natural and the simple things in life.  Ceres’ energies have to do in part with simplicity, although it is also linked to hard work.  It seeks out what is good for us in simple, easy to follow steps and this makes it available to everyone regardless of mental abilities, although as we all know that our perceptions, focus and expectations often have a big hand in our lives.

 

Ceres is connected to the feminine role, although much has changed in this regard over past generations, so it is not always an indication of a female just the feminine. 

 

As mentioned, it is tied to hard work, but it should be noted that it does not seek out recognition because of hard work.  Ceres in Leo may be an exception to this. 

 

Ceres is said to be modest and shows where we can deliver what is needed for our physical existence. 

 

Ceres is also connected to the need to face our darker sides and fears in order to rise above them.  This is particularly true if Ceres is found in the eighth house or connected to Scorpio or the planet Pluto. 

 

Ceres also shows what our early nurturing was like and how it was received, and this often plays a role in how we eventually nurture others as we mature.

FORMATION OF FOUNDATION

 Let’s not lose perspective. 

 

Nothing is not set in stone and we can reformulate, grow and change at any time throughout our life.  We do, however, create in our lives but who we are on the deepest level is consistent. 

 

We experience life though our personal notions or what we believe to be true.  We can allow but we can also let go of anything that does not suit the current path we are on.  We need to live in the moment and allow the energies to flow.  Our focus shapes our experience.

 

This is not to say that life event do not happen without our consent.  There are times throughout our life’s journey that we experience unanticipated events but it is our judgement of these experiences that make them harsh or make them easy flowing.  This also expends to our general attitude towards life itself.  If we expect life to be tough, it will be. 

 

We gain momentum as we mature into ourselves and take on what we choose to make our own and what we choose to release.  Life is full of lessons and challenging conditions but it is also filled with wonder and beauty.  Life can flow with ease if we allow it to.  Life can offer resting periods if we choose to accept them.

 

Life moves as it moves but our reaction to this movement lies in our hands.  We will experience what we are supposed to regardless of what that experience might be.  It is a personal choice if and how long we hold on to the experience and our personal feels about the event.  We also choose what to make of our personal experience.  Will it inspire us to generate activity that assists us in our journey, or will we choose to become captive to an idea that holds us back and creates fear or anxiety? 

 

We have choices to make and we have a choice on how we interpret our lessons and experiences. 

 

We can choose to justify our negative reactions and choose to be a victim, or we can choose to see events as events that are not a part of us.  We can see events as lessons that allow us to grow and be the victor.

TRANSITING JUPITER DIRECT MOTION

Transiting Jupiter turned retrograde on May 14, 2020 and will become direct once again on September 13, 2020.  When planets, with the exception of Saturn, are in retrograde their energies are stifled and do not experience full and positive release of their energies. 

 

Jupiter, even in retrograde, could still be referred to as positive energies although its fortunate conditions might not be as evident when moving in retrograde motion.  Jupiter stays retrograde for about 120 days during its cycle and moves in retrograde from 10 to 20 degrees. 

 

Jupiter will make a square to the Sun while the Sun is in Libra direct on October 10/11, 2020.  The square often speaks about getting results from whatever was put into motion during Jupiter’s retrograde cycle.  Squares push us ahead as a result of the need to work through situations because they can be challenging.  If we accept that challenge, we can see the return from our efforts.

 

While Jupiter is direct and particularly so when it becomes stationary direct and falls within three degrees of a planet or angle in your chart, its energies are very positive and growth on some degree is often evident.  Jupiter is stationary from September 12 through to the 14 and will be at 17 degrees in the sign of Capricorn.  Check to see which houses are involved to get a clear picture of what areas of life will be involved, if any, in your natal chart.

 

Jupiter has to do with expansion and optimism and during the growth period while Jupiter is direct you can expect potential opportunities and Jupiter should bring good luck into your life.  This, of course, depends on the area of life indicated in your chart.  Even challenging links through hard natal aspects to this position will be somewhat softened due to Jupiter’s mighty influence.  A feeling of good luck and fortunate conditions often prevails under this influence, and in many ways if we follow through, we might very well gain insight and advance during these times.

 

Jupiter can also indicate over-indulgence and in some cases promotes weight gain when connected to the Ascendant, or just a general feeling that we cannot do anything wrong.  Cautious optimism might be what is needed especially if connected to Saturn and perhaps this is a time to recognize authority or situations involving power, especially if Pluto is involved.  However, Pluto brings change and transformation.  Be careful not to step on anyone’s toes.

 

Jupiter will be in direct motion for some time (September 13, 2020 to June 20, 2021) as it moves through Capricorn into Aquarius and then begins its movement into Pisces.  You can see it will make many conjunctions to those with their Sun in these positions over the next several months.  It will also make many other aspects including trines and sextiles as well as squares and oppositions during this time as well.  Use Jupiter’s energies accordingly.  This period can be favourable to many.

ERADICATING NEGATIVITY

  

If we allow ourselves a few moments to reflect on who we are, without condemnation, only paying attention to the most positive traits that comprises our true energy, who are we?

 

We have to come to terms with who we think we are and then disassociate our self from any preconceived negative notion that we have. 

 

Our focus magnifies any concepts of what we choose to identify with and in so doing, we believe ourselves to be what we focus on.  We perceive this focus as our identity.  We have been misled by the belief that if we identify with any concept or notion that these must be part of our identity.

 

We are in a constant state of “becoming”, and what we believe are facets of our true identity only gather in strength and we identify with them as who we are.  If there is something in our makeup that clearly misrepresents who we want to be, then it is in your hands to make a conscious choice as to whether we will allow it to manifest in physical and mental terms.  We are at the command centre and are not at the mercy of our beliefs, unless we believe that we have no control of what transpires in our life.

 

Who you are now is, in part, a formulated concept of what you believe makes up the true you, up until this moment in time.  You have manufactured this identity, and it is your identification with this that makes it real. 

 

You may find that we use the term “identify” over and over again.  It is our hope that this repetition will help you understand and make you aware of the control you have over situations in your lives and the manufacturing of who you are becoming.

 

If there is something within you that you do not like, let it go.  Stop believing that it is a part of who you are.  You, personally, are the only person that makes anything in life truth, including your identification with concepts of all kinds.  We all manifest our beliefs over time and where we are and who we believe we are, now runs in conjunction with what we have allowed to come into our realm of consciousness.

 

The saying goes, “We become who we associate with” and this is why we are told early in life, to pick our friendships with care.  This is true but again, if we are influenced by another’s personality, we have made a choice to accept these characteristics and made them our own. 

 

Our focus allows the trait to grow and expand within us.  Who we are and who we are becoming is a personal choice.  We cannot place responsibility on others.

 

Look within and acknowledge what makes you feel comfortable and content.  Hold on to those qualities.  Acknowledge and release anything that does not resonate with you.  You have been doing this, unconsciously, your whole life.  Now it is time to do it on a conscious level.

MARS TURNS RETROGRADE SEPTEMBER 11

Mars moves approximately ½ to 1 degree each day and it appears to move backwards in the heavens while in retrograde for approximately 56 to 82 days.  It stays stationary about 4 to 6 days under normal conditions. 

 

Mars begins its retrograde cycle on September 11, 2020, when it will be at 28 degrees in the sign of Aries.  On November 14, 2020, it moves back into its direct motion and will be at 15 degrees Aries when it does.  It will touch all of these degrees once again as it moves back into direct motion, finally moving beyond the 28 degree Aries mark in early January, 2021.

 

Mars, while in retrograde motion, will be less aggressive in its energies as it operates in a much softer manner while in retrograde.  Mars in direct motion is fearless and strives to fulfill all its desires.  Mars is considered brave and outgoing and is our push in life to strive to the next level through being assertive and sometimes somewhat intrusive.  Sometimes through retrograde motion, there can be times of reprieve or delays causing some disruption to the normal energies associated with Mars.  There can be delays of action.  Mars is about drive and ambition and this seems stifled.

 

This is not to say that you should not engage in activities that are scheduled during these times of retrograde motion but the energies in place under normal conditions may not be as easy to find during this time.  You will find that if there was a rush to life prior to September, things may very well slow down somewhat.  When Mars once again turns direct in January you may find that the energies, as they have been pent-up, release as a flurry of activities.

 

Have a look at which house/houses Mars transits in your chart during the period mentioned above and also if there are any planets that transiting Mars will make aspect to.  This will define what areas of life will be subdued and how the energies will be spent during this cycle.  Expect a release of energies when Mars turns direct and passes over planets especially by conjunction for the final time.  The retrograde cycle will make three direct hits over any planet it touches - once while in direct motion, then again when it passes over it again in retrograde and then finally when it moves across the same point in its direct motion.  The last pass will be the most influential.
