FALL EQUINOX SEPTEMBER 22/2016

 Yesterday, September 22 we experienced the Fall equinox at 9:30 a.m. EDT.

 

Typically the equinoxes represent the equal division of day and night.  The Spring equinox (Ostara) celebrates new beginnings and fresh starts.  The Fall equinox (Mabon) celebrates reaping the rewards of your hard labour and gathering the harvest.  The Fall equinox is a time of reflection on the harvest of your achievements and often considered a time of change.  It is linked to the sign Libra which above all else is a balancing sign.  The balance that you need to strive for is the knowing of what you need to hold on to and what you need to let go of.

 

Some consider this a time of sacrifice as you now reap the rewards of your labour and if you have not sown the seeds of life in the manner you should have, you may have to sacrifice because of these shortfalls and count your losses. 

 

Astrologically, the Fall equinox represents a balancing point of our self-image and any disapproval that is found in our view of ourselves.  We should review our goals in achieving our life’s quest and the conquests we have made in our lives.  This review will assist us in recognizing our abilities and true selves.

 

On the opposite side, the spring equinox is linked to the sign Aries and Aries begins things and initiates action.  These two points (spring and fall equinox) are known as cardinal points.  The cardinal points in the horoscope are known as action points.  They are used as timing devices and lead to activity, drive, ambition, and involvement.  During these cycles, you should consider this as a time of action -- either related to the start of something or the end or culmination point of whatever action you have already taken.

 

It is a time to actively pursue a course of action, to take control of your life and push forward in the direction of your choice.  Cardinal signs are action oriented and strive for activity that is often personally initiated.  This will be the time for you to make things happen.  Do not wait for or rely on others.

THERE IS ALWAYS A TIME FOR NEW BEGINNINGS

 Never saddle yourself with a belief structure that all good things come to an end.  Our beliefs can tie us down and hold us back but they can also propel us forward.  It is up to you which beliefs you prefer to adhere to.  It is up to you which train of thought you will follow and allow to manifest in your life.  You are at the mercy of your beliefs.

 

When something comes to an end, the door to something new opens.  It is up to you whether you will walk through the doorway or walk away.  Sometimes the doors open on their own, and other times we must make the effort to turn the knob.  To sit and wait is not suggested.  In most cases, we have to push ourselves forward in life and let go of what is holding us back, even if this means letting go of something you feel attached to.  If the current situation no longer serves a viable purpose and stunts your growth, it is best to let it go and allow.

 

It serves no purpose to tie yourself to something that creates stagnation and there certainly is little benefit to sitting on the sideline doing nothing. 

 

Growth may take some work on your part, but it always worth the effort.  Growth can take time to unfold, so patience is the key.  Be open to the possibilities and when the energies are right, things begin to shift.

 

New beginnings are essential, and in reality each and every day is a new beginning with unlimited potential.  Do what you must.  Lay the groundwork for the journey ahead.  Live your life.  Allow and utilize your purpose.

SUN IN LIBRA SEPTEMBER 22, 2020

 The Sun moves from a need to be organized and structured Virgo into the desire for balance and harmonious sign of Libra on September 22, 2020. 

 

Libra is not a balanced sign; it is a balancing sign. 

 

Libra is a relationship sign meaning that relationships, especially when it comes to marriage partnerships, hold great relevance to them.  They need relationships of significance to feel whole and are rarely found to be by themselves although of course there are exceptions.  Many Libra individuals find that if they leave an important relationship, they are quickly in search for another, or alternatively, someone has their eyes on them as soon as they become available.

 

Libra individuals are very cordial, and most people find them very approachable.  The typical Libra individual always wanting to create some repairs to situations that need mending and looking for peaceful resolutions to any conflicts that may arise.  These may be personal or with others.  Libra individuals always seek the middle ground and make excellent mediators doing what is necessary to make peace available.  This makes them likable and they are not too aggressive in pushing for solutions but will make suggestions in gentle rather selective manners.

 

Libra is tied to justice and fairness so when they are trying to solve issues they will be fair.  They would do well in the justice system as lawyers as long as they believed in what they were doing and if there were any wrong doings, they would certainly do their part to bring integrity and legitimacy to the table. 

 

As mentioned, relationships are important but these individuals are not afraid to speak their mind when communicating with their partner at least in most cases.  This is where they make concessions with gentle mediation as the right way is important and they wish to be heard. 

 

Libra individuals are intellectuals and, depending on the sign of Mercury, are given to honest communication, although peace is still at the forefront.

 

Those with their Sun sign in the later degrees of Libra will be experiencing the squares from Pluto, Saturn, and Jupiter to their Sun.  Squares produce tension but push you to make concessions to relieve the pressure.  Squares can be challenging and there are often obstacles in the way.  In this case, this would be connected to transformation and change in structure or reliability sometimes speaking in terms of relationships or business associates.  This can remain in effect until the New Year when both Jupiter and Saturn will move into the sign of Aquarius. 

 

For those individuals with their Sun in the early degrees of Libra will now be experiencing the trine which is a much more favorable energy than the square.  The stress will be alleviated somewhat although those with their Sun in the later degrees of Libra will still have to deal with Pluto. 

 

Those with their Sun sign in the early degrees of Libra (especially in January for those with their Sun in the very early degrees) will find that opportunities to resolve standing problems and find a greater sense of peace in their lives.  Jupiter expands and brings good luck into the picture while Saturn restores structure and disciplined action and stabilizes things.  Much will depend on the houses involved as this will be the areas of life involved.  You would also need to look at other indicators in the chart at that time to get a full picture of what is unfolding, of course.

TRANSITING NEPTUNE CONJUNCT NATAL VENUS

 This aspect between transiting Neptune and natal Venus can work in two very distinctive ways.  Much will depend on the aspect that transiting Neptune is making to your natal Venus and of course the house placements that are involved.

 

The more challenging aspects can indicate deception in love and romance.  There is the potential that something is hidden or camouflaged, or you may not be dealing properly with an issue related to romantic involvement.  Hiding your head in the sand and not facing reality can be part of the equation.  It is important to be realistic and to not put the person on a pedestal as you may be disappointed once the fog dissipates.

 

Neptune tends to put a veil of uncertainty over situations and can cause people to view life through rose coloured glasses.  Sometimes we need to have other individuals that we trust bring some clarity into the situation.  Ensure that these individuals are trustworthy, reliable and speak the truth.  Honesty will be important regardless of how intrusive it may be, and a good friend will tell it like it is. 

 

The square and opposition and in some cases depending on the planet involved the conjunction will create challenges.  The semi-square, quincunx, and sesquiquadrate will also bring some distortion although these will bring more of an irritant our way than the more challenging energies of a major aspects.

 

Love and affection and young women are tied into the energies of Venus along with finances, beautiful material things and sex, although sex is more often an offshoot of the planet Mars.  When transiting Neptune makes a positive aspect to Venus (once again the houses involved will play a significant role as they are the areas of life involved), this will be more favourable and pleasing than the harsh aspects indicate earlier.

 

The time while experiencing this connection may be when you meet or recognize that the person you love, and have strong feelings for, is the ideal mate.  Love can be idealistic, and romance can be heightened to extremes.  It is almost a romance made in heaven or at the very least a love with plenty of affection and romance.  That individual may seem perfect or almost perfect.  There is a general feeling of fondness and affection that you may not have known prior to this aspect. 

 

Although love and romance are high on the agenda and a priority of what this aspect speaks about, financial situations may improve and what seems like a dream come true is possible although other factors will need to be in place to confirm this potential.  There can be an idealized view of your finances, perhaps, you just have a different view of your financial situation.  Once again, the positive aspects can be counted on as having an easy flow, at least much more than the negative aspects.

 

The positive aspects include the conjunction, the trine and the sextile.  The minor aspects such as the semi-sextile, the quintile and others have a less of an impact than the major ones do but may still have a significant role in what unfolds during this union. 

 

Venus’ energies also influence the female principle.  Sometimes this indicates a young female is part of the equation; and once again depending on the aspect involved, this can be a positive experience or a challenging encounter.  This can speak of a baby girl if other indicators suggest something similar.  Always use the energies regardless of the planets involved or the aspects in the most positive manner to advance in whatever manner is available.  Squares and oppositions are the teachers and trines and sextile are indicators of easy flow and opportunities.

BE TRUE TO YOURSELF FIRST

Today, take a good, honest look at who you are, taking into consideration those little flaws.  Now recognize this to be you for today.  Next, consider what you initially thought your characteristics were but remove the minor flaws. Who does this leave? 

 

Do you realize that you will always find little flaws in your personality, what you might call minor barriers to whom you want to be?  Ask yourself if these flaws describe you as an individual.  Do others see these minor blemishes or are you the only one that knows about them?  Does these take away anything from whom you are when viewing yourself without these imperfections?  Are you less of a person because of them?

 

Sometimes we need to pay attention to our personal attributes rather than spend so much time delineating our “self-thought” faults.  If we could spend even half the time, we waste analyzing our perceived negative qualities and focus on our positive qualities, we might recognize and see ourselves in a clearer light.  These minor irritants just might pale in comparison to our attributes, and we might see ourselves as more of what we would like to be but have failed to recognize previous to this awareness.

 

The qualities you dislike about yourself first have to be recognized and seen for what they truly are.  After doing some careful analysis, you might discover that they are not as devastating and negative as you once perceived them to be.  By changing your focus on what you have within your personality rather than paying so much attention to what you don’t like or what is missing, you will recognize who you are and see thing for what they truly are.

 

Remember your core personality has all the qualities that you may wish you have.  Remember your true nature, and understand that you are spirit living in a material body extremely influenced by ego.  What you perceive as negative has been built up by ego.  It is ego reinforcement coming from the opposite end of support and this thinking only employs the ego’s pursuit of control.  Letting go of these false beliefs unleashes the true potential already alive within and is waiting to be released. 

 

Everything you are looking for is already a part of your makeup; it is already part of who you are.  You do not have to look outside for confirmation.  You just have to allow yourself to focus your attention on your life’s objectives and let go of the small insignificant so called impurities that you are now so focused on.  Stop identifying with them and thinking that they are who you are. They are not.

 

The real you is based on love and compassion.  Realizing that this is rightfully you, you will transcend yourself into a content individual rather than an individual that feels incomplete.  You don’t need to seek completeness.  You are complete, and you only have to place your attention on what you are, not what is missing.  The change is automatic with no work because you already have this individual waiting to emerge.  The only thing holding you back is your focus on what you do not like in yourself or what you think is missing.

 

Understanding the ego’s pursuit and recognizing ego when it surfaces is the key to recognizing your higher self.  You have to open your eyes to the truth and realize ego’s interference.  Stop identifying with it.  You are not your ego.  Let go of this negative grip by recognizing who you truly are, always have been and always will be.

NEW MOON IN VIRGO SEPTEMBER 17, 2020

We will be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Virgo at 25 degrees on September 17, 2020.  New Moon energies are focused on new beginning and pushing ahead with plans that relate to the sign the Moon is in.  In in this case, the New Moon is Virgo as mentioned.  The house the New Moon is transiting through in your own natal chart will indicate the area of life the energies can affect.  In six months when the Full Moon is in the sign of Virgo, you can reap the rewards of what you put in motion under the energies of the New Moon.  The reward will be subject to the efforts you use to bring your seed to fruition.

 

Virgo has to do with our health, about having all the pieces in their proper place, and organization and service.  Since our health issues seem to be in crisis, this can be the time when we push forward with decisions regarding the best practices we can put in motion or if we are already adapting to the new safety suggests, perhaps this is a time to ensure we are not becoming complacent and follow the guidelines that will keep us safe.  It is better to work towards a resolution than to ignore the facts. 

 

This can be a time when you organize your life and try to put any missing pieces where they belong.  Perhaps it is time to begin to look after your dietary habits and formulate a plan that will make you healthier and provide you with more energy and a healthier outlook in life.

During this New Moon, transiting Saturn is making a trine exact to this placement at 25 degrees in the sign of Capricorn and Pluto is also making a trine although out be 3 degrees which is still within the influential orb.  Pluto calls for transformation and Saturn calls for order and this can take place through acts of service in an orderly fashion and this applies to those in positions of power such as government and other authorities.  Someone needs to take a leading role so that this trine can be applied in its proper function which is one of ease in flow, with no obstructions and delegate structure. 

 

The quincunx to Mars suggests that adjustments need to take hold when it comes to aggressive force and violent action.  Mars in Aries can become the aggressor, so, working for others in a service-oriented manner that helps any situation that is running amuck would be advised.  The government may need to step in here as well and work with the justice system and correct any wrong doings that stand in the way of peaceful resolutions.  We all have a part to play.

YOUR STATE OF BEING

Your state of being is not dependent upon your life’s circumstances.  Happiness, peace, etc. comes from within.  These conditions are connected to your thought process. 

 

Your attitude towards your life and its events either creates stress and anxiety or assist in the feelings of peace and enjoyment.   Events are meant to be experiences but not to define who we are.

 

We cannot escape the moment.  Do not try to escape events but learn to accept, acknowledge and release.  This creates a continual flow of energy instead of blockages.  If we choose to hang on to thoughts and events, we can then identify those thoughts or events as a part of us but in reality they are not.

 

The eternal moment does not look back at conditions or look ahead in anticipation.  It resides in the ever present.  The moment allows us to see and accepts what is immediately in front of us.  The moment is a very quiet place as there are no reflections and no preconceived notion on what might follow.  It is just simpling being with our surroundings.

 

The mind judges things, whether they are categorizes as good or bad.  We are the one listening to the mind’s constant chatter.  We are not our minds; we are the listeners.  If we identify with these thoughts we will take on the energy of those thoughts, and the energy in each thought is fleeting, but the real you is never fleeting, it is always constant.

 

Your state of being is reflective of what you focus on and how you respond to thoughts and events.  This state is forever changing and is temporary.  You can refocus your attention and change your perception but this too is temporary.  Purposeful refocusing will help take away from anything that feels intrusive, but it is still the mind’s reaction and takes away from the present moment.  Experience the moment and then let it go and be here now.

 

If you are sitting watching the sunset for example, you are in the moment.  Regardless of what has transpired that day, being in the moment releases what has taken place.  There is no ownership.  It does not define you.  The sunset is happening right then, and there is nothing more and nothing less.  This in itself is an act of meditation and will quiet the mind.
