PLUTO IN TRANSIT

Pluto’s abilities to transform and regenerate are highlighted when it is traveling through the birth chart.  There is nothing subtle about Pluto’s influence and you will be quite aware that something needs to be changed or altering when it makes contact.  Pluto’s energies are abrupt and disruptive in their actions and the changes that Pluto is putting on the table need to be reworked and transformed so they fit life better.  When Pluto is finished transiting through a house or linking up with a planetary placement, its energies will have significantly changed things and usually in a very permanent manner.

 

Pluto is associated with actual death and is usually present in some way when someone passes over.  It does not always mean literal death, but it does mean that a condition or life element is no longer suitable and change is needed.  Therefore it does signify the death or end of a situation and then the beginning of something new. 

 

Pluto, as mentioned, is not subtle in its release and sometimes you have opportunities to make these changes, and other times they just happen with little or no control over the situation.

 

If Pluto links up with Mars or Uranus, care is required and focus on not putting yourselvf into dangers way is important.  If there is a square between these planets, there are challenging conditions due to the contact, and they come at you for a reason. 

 

Watch for arguments and aggressive behavior especially if Mars is concerned and particularly if the aspect is an opposition. 

 

The trine and sextile aspects are not as aggressive and usually suggest transformation at a high level and although somewhat challenging to accept, these transformations will benefit you in the long haul. 

 

Uranus is more unpredictable and this is the one you need to watch, if, for example, you are driving a motorized vehicle.  Operate with more care than normal and never rush.  Do not rush out to drive in fits of anger or after an argument.  Take the time to settle yourself down.  If you are confronted by an aggressive individual, do not put up a fight unless you have little choice.  It is best to walk away whenever possible under this influence.

 

These, of course, are extreme cases and normally, there have to be other aspects suggesting much of the same before these energies are released in a powerful way.  There needs to be at least 3 aspects in a chart all saying the same thing before things necessarily happen and much depends on the other planets involved and the angles they are making. 

 

However, it can be a rather tumultuous experience and you will learn a lot from it.  It seems to be human nature that we learn much more from adverse life conditions than the mild and mellow experiences.  

 

We may have to spend a little time meditating on how the energies can be released in a more gentle and positive manner.

TEACHERS OPEN THE DOOR

There are countless learning tools at our disposal. 

 

Always be open and allow others to teach us what we need to learn.  These lessons are received on many different levels, but in many cases they reach us through our subconscious connection.  We meet up different individuals throughout our lives and they often impart their own special information in very subtle ways.  They could be referred to as teachers or guides and some may even come through on meditative channels.  We will certainly meet guides through this connection.

 

It is important to realize that although these people or spirits enter our lives on varying degrees of awareness, they help to open the door.  We, however, must take the steps to accept or reject these lessons on our own accord.  We are never forced to move in any directions although there are times in life when this seems to be happening.  Life will present us with opportunities and sometimes we are at the mercy of life and there seems no alternative but to push in a particular direction.

 

There are teachers amongst us.  They help us simply by being and acting without knowledge of what they are imparting our way.  Children are often a great form of inspiration and they are givers of love without expecting anything in return.  They simply provide us with nurturing and loving energy and do this quite naturally.  These small connected souls never think of what might come back their way because of their actions.  As they mature, they are taught the emotional bondage or repayment.  How often as a parent have we said to a child, if you do something specific that they do not want to do, I will reward you with something that you like.  Children, before being taught the emotional bartering system, simply act from the heart.  They are teachers in the highest form.

 

As we mature into ourselves with age and experience, we become better teachers and guides for many others along the road of life.  The best teachers are the ones that not only speak and provide information, but they are the ones that lead by example.  In the search for self, we need the assistance of those around us, whether that be spiritual in nature or of physical focus.  Our guides come in many shapes and forms, but they are always ready to be of assistance in an instant.

 

We might not always like what we hear, as sometimes the truth can be difficult to swallow, but these exposures to truth can lift us up and make us aware of the webs we weave throughout our lives.

 

We are what we need for this moment. 

 

Knowledge presents itself on many levels, but we must listen to the information being provided.  Growth comes when we are open and listening. 

 

Do not hesitate.  Keep stepping forward.  Follow through.  Find your motivation and always be open to learn.

FULL MOON OCTOBER 1, 2020

On October 1, 2020 at 5:05 p.m. EDT, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Aries at 9 degrees.  This full moon is known as the Harvest Moon.

 

The Aries Full Moon energies are the culmination of events since planting our seeds of life some 6 months ago when the New Moon was in the sign of Aries.  Those that started a plan of action and used the energies available over this period for a project or change in direction will reap the fruits of their efforts. 

 

Aries would have insisted that you take action and that you neither were led by someone else nor did you fostered a plan set out by someone else.  Aries is about action and the need to take control and be the first one to initiate whatever it is that should take place.  Aries will not sit back and do nothing, and you were to push ahead with these plans and work towards achievement.  You may have been very busy and perhaps even too aggressive in your pursuit, but the harder you tried since the New Moon in Aries, the greater the harvest now.  You may even have made a couple of mistakes along the way but most likely you were able to get right back up and start again.  No halfway measures should have been part of your objectives.

 

These plans likely involved you in a personal way and you had to do it your way.  This is not to say that your plans were egotistically enveloped, but that you knew you had to make things happen and the results would be a direct result of your efforts.  The New Moon would have been in Aries as mentioned some six months ago but there would have had to be some type of connections in your natal chart to activate this energy.  The same goes for now under this Full Moon energy.  If you have planets in and around 9 degrees Aries or in square or opposition to this degree or you have the more easy flowing aspects of the trine and sextile to this degree, the opportunities are available to you.  You can use an orb of 3 degrees.  Be sure to check the houses involved in your chart as these will provide you with further information about the area of life involved back then and how this is unfolding now.

 

On the Full Moon (October 1, 2020) Chiron is making a conjunction to the Moon’s placement.  Conjunctions bring an emphasis to the area of life involved in the equation.  Chiron speaks of the need for healing on some level.  Have some respect for the road you have walked and how hard you had to work to get to where you are now.  If things do not look the way you wish they were then recognize that you did your best and sometimes life dictates.  There are lessons in place of value.  Whatever needs healing now is ready for you to take note.  Perhaps it is time to leave a situation or begin anew.  The definition at hand is found in the aspects and house placements involved in your personal chart.

 

There is also a tight semi-sextile to Uranus at this time and because this is considered a minor aspect, it has to be tight, within one degree of being exact which it is.  Uranus is about breaking free of any restrictions that are holding you back and to start moving in a new direction.  Uranus’ action can be quite unpredictable and sudden in action, and along with Aries, the sudden and quick part of the process would make a lot of sense.  Jumping into something is not always a good idea but if you have had time to think things over now might be the time to move ahead with your plans.  The semi-sextiles suggests that you are in the right place at the right time.

YOUNG AND LEARNING

 Physically, you can exercise, eat properly, have regular checkups and in general look after yourself, but will this keep you young? 

 

Is being young a state of the body or does it have to do with your state of mind?  You have heard or experienced how some very young individuals seem to be old souls and appear much too wise for their years.  Does that make them old? 

 

Is knowledge and our ingrained, inherited mental attitude in any way relate to our aging process? 

 

Most young children play and enjoy their lives.  They live in the moment.  This might be considered youth or even line up with being young.  They have few cares but when they have one, they can become obsessed within that moment.  However as soon as they move away from it by altering their focus, the issue is often gone forever or holds little relevance as they continue to live. 

 

Is this considered being young or a youthful thing to do?  No….this is something each and every one of us can do. 

 

Staying forever young certainly comes from our focus, and living in the moment.  Allowing ourselves to have fun is essential.

 

Children enjoy the moment and live within it, experiencing whatever is within that specific moment.  We as adults tend to live in our minds and think in terms of what will be or what has already been.  Rarely are we content with living in the now. 

 

Staying forever young deals is certainly connected to our attitude and not thinking in terms of getting old and being stuck in your ideas or not allowing new information to be entertained. 

 

Do we suddenly stop learning because we are old?  Does life no longer provide us with any new lessons? Do we really have all the information and all the answers?  I think not!

 

If you want to stay young, have fun and continue learning.  Don’t ever think that there is nothing left.  That frame of mind will ultimately end your existence. 

 

We as spiritual beings are living a physical moment.  There is so much to learn.   The most advanced souls know that the journey of knowledge has only just began.  The more moments we travel through, the more we realize how little we know.  This is not ignorance.  It is understanding that our journey has now actually begun.

 

Stay young by remaining in the school of life.  Pay attention to your focus.  Learn from the very young.  Stifle the ego and accept that we are here to learn and our knowledge is in its infancy but we are beginning to awaken.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF HOUSE CUSPS IN ASTROLOGY

It is well observed that planets located on the Ascendant and MC have a very powerful effect in our natal charts.  When these two areas are aspected by transits, quite often things happen and our lives are stirred. 

 

The other house cusps are also important when a transiting planet as well as a progressed planet crosses over their cusps. 

 

The strongest point of impact to notice a change will be when planets pass over the cusps and this is particularly true if they station on one of these cusps.  A planet that goes into retrograde over one of these house cusps can move over this area up to three times and this has an impact on the area of life the house represents and the energies of the planet involved.  Once they have moved into the house and will not go into retrograde over that cusp again, then the energies are not as powerful. 

 

It has been noted that individuals with a 0 to 1.5 degree Cardinal cusp on the Ascendant and Midheaven appear to get recognition over their life time.  Some with this degree become famous or infamous much depends if any planets are making aspects to these areas, which planets it is and what aspects are part of the connection.  We are referencing the natal chart and although this is not always the case, for many this is a very real potential.  If you move to a different location from your birth town or city, it is important to have a rectification chart prepared as a move can bring on this potential or take this potential away, depending on the positions in the horoscope and how far away you move.

 

In Transit and especially with the Progressed chart, the house cusps become very significant.  If for example you have Pluto moving over the second house cusp and this could last up to a year, you will often notice a fluctuation in the finances.  Security goes through a transformation and you will uncover deeper connections to feelings linked to security in your life.

 

If the same planet moves across the seventh house cusp, there may be transformations in a marriage relationship or business partnership.  Some marriages dissolve under this transit, some relationships are made under this transit.  One thing is certain, the relationship itself will go through some challenging conditions when things come to the surface and this will have to be dealt with appropriately.  A strong relationship will survive the onslaught of this transit, but a weak one may not survive.

 

It is important to see how the transiting planet makes aspects to other planets during this transit, as this will determine the intensity of what takes place.  It is also important to see what the natal potential suggests as several challenging aspects in the natal chart to Pluto (using Pluto as an example) could indicate a real struggle, while mostly positive aspects could prove to be quite beneficial.

 

Pay particular attention to the progressed Planets making a conjunction to a cusp in the natal chart as this could last for a long time.  In general, when the progressed planet is within 12 minutes of being direct, this will be when the energies or activity will begin to be felt.  As it separates and moves across the cusp it will weaken and eventually pass.

 

House cusps are very significant especially when you are dealing with a solar return period.  Have a close look at your chart or have a professional delineate it for you and see what cusps are active and when.

LUNAR NODES

 The Lunar Nodes are considered one of the most influential forces in the horoscope.  They are considered powers that lie beneath the surface linking together spiritual intervention and human evolution.  Together the nodes, (north and south) signify karmic involvement.  These nodes are always opposite one another or in opposition (180 degrees apart) and never vary.

 

The north node deals with our earthly mission and represents in part what we have entered this incarnation to manifest and/or learn.  The north node is completely new to us and we may feel somewhat uncomfortable with our mission, as we enter unknown territory. 

 

The south node is representative of a previous incarnation and signifies what we have brought with us into this life that can be used to assist the development of the north nodes potential.

 

The north and south nodes are one of the highest regarded when it comes to spiritual and karmic implications in Astrology.  The nodes do not move at predictable speeds and move in a clockwise direction or retrograde motion.  They take approximately one and one-half years to move through a sign and are used to check timing of events in progressions.

 

We are required to move in the direction of our north node, as this node defines our life’s mission.  Identifying with the south node, or falling back into the comfort zone that the south node provides, will not motivate us in our intended direction, although some of the attributes that we have brought with us into this life can assist us and are to be used to push us forward.

 

Our life’s events that are most current have implications and are connected to our past.  The two are interlinked and work together.  Many find it difficult moving towards the energies of their north node and the higher forces will provide us with opportunities that push us in our intended direction.  Our mission is to activate this calling and move toward these north node energies.

 

These nodes are located in houses in the astrology chart which represent areas of life, always opposite one another as mentioned.  They are also defined by the Astrological sign that they are located in.  The sign and house placement of each node further define our mission and our past incarnation and the why behind our existence. 

 

The nodes are suggestive of interconnecting points where karma is connected from a past life and into the present one.  Karma is the soul’s interaction with the current incarnation and insists that we fulfil the obligations agreed upon when entering this lifetime.  These responsibilities when earnestly pursued will open the channels to spiritual growth, and expansive understanding.

 

Find out what your calling is and the past influences that push you towards you intended direction, through the nodal positioning in your natal chart.  The nodes along with your Sun sign and Ascendant are guiding factors that reveal the soul’s interaction and what we have come into this life to do.  When you align these three factors, you can have a clear idea of what your purpose truly is.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESS

We have delved into the subconscious and have an understanding that ego takes up a lot of our time sifting through life events and putting us constantly on guard if we function without focus.  The ego manipulates with our right to be ourselves and takes away our comfort within our own skin.  Ego brings out the worst in us and then insists that we focus on this alternate personality and take it on as our own. 

 

We know this is how the ego infiltrates our otherwise peaceful interior, but many of us still have trouble identifying ego and continue to connect with it often mistaking ego for who we are.  Identifying with ego provides it with strength and keeps it alive and well.

 

If we wish to truly get in contact with who we are, we have to rid ourselves of this insistent nuisance known as ego.  Recognizing ego and stopping it in its tracks is essential.  Realizing its influence is really all that is needed to accomplish this.  It takes a little time and a lot of repetition but we eventually learn to recognize its voice.

 

All thoughts are actually ego generated.  The real you, the higher self, the inner self is the quiet link within that sits back and listens.  It is the one with the quite, gentle guidance.   This energy is who we are and stifling ego allows us to identify with this inner energy that speaks quietly and aids you along. When our inner self speaks there are no words, yet everything is completely understood.  It is just a knowing within that only radiates truth.  It is received on an intuitive level, but also understood consciously if we learn to listen.

 

If the ability to understand this energy is difficult we have listened to ego for too long and must challenge ourselves to reacquaint with the one with. 

 

The first step is to recognize the ego and its intent.  After that, remember not to identify with ego’s incessant chatter.  Soon you will recognize ego as soon as it starts.  Its voice is harsh and unkind.  Living in this very moment eliminates ego because ego is consumed with the past and the potentials of the future. 

 

Find the moment and watch life unfold.  Have an ear for that quiet guiding voice that echoes from the heart.
